Reviews

My kid LOVES this place, especially the water room. It's an amazing interactive kids museum, great place for kids to run around and have fun while learning how the world works. Highly recommended.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE - they neglected my sick baby.
My son has been going here for about two months, and at first we didn’t have many concerns. Then last week at pickup they notified us they didn’t give him his bottles that day because they were “labeled with the wrong date”. When my boyfriend looked at them and said “Is today not November 8th?” She checked her phone and said “Oh”. We were told he was given regular milk all day, which was followed by him having diarrhea for several days. I don’t understand why, that morning at his first bottle, if they thought the date was wrong, they didn’t call us? Instead they made the decision to give him regular milk all day. I was upset because he wasn’t feeling good and I felt it was avoidable, but I understand things happen.
Then today I dropped him off at 7:00am, and came back right before 5:00pm, as I worked all day. When I walked in the door the assistant director said “Oh can I verify your phone number we have been calling you?” I said “Sure” and the number listed as my primary was 747474747 I looked at her and explained that’s not my number but the number below it was. (And I think anyone would logically be able to look at that and determine that’s probably not a real phone number but clearly a system mistake.) I asked why they’d been calling and she told me for the majority of the day my son who just turned one, has had a fever of 101.7. I immediately stopped talking to her and went to his classroom where I found him in the crib, facedown, still in his long sleeve onesie, pants and socks, with a red lobster face, hot to the touch. I picked him up and he didn’t immediately open his eyes, he was limp and lethargic. WHY - if they were unable to get ahold of me, did they let him deteriorate all day?? His temp was now 103. He has FIVE people listed in his contacts that could’ve been contacted. All people who were available to come pick him up today. But none of us were notified. And I understand they cannot give him Tylenol, but why not strip him down? He has short sleeve onesies and lightweight sweats in his bin as extra clothes. Why not put a cool rag on his head? And when he got to the point of lethargy, why not call 911?! I would rather a $5k+ hospital bill then picking up a lethargic baby.
I’m absolutely disgusted and mortified with how my child was neglected today. How could you let a baby worsen all day and not do so much as cool them down? The assistant director on my way out the door said “Here’s what you need to do to bring him back” with some little list, not “How’s he doing?” Or “Is he ok?” When I told her he wouldn’t be back, I got in my car and received a call from Novena, the center director. I’ve never received a more inauthentic call in my life, where she repeatedly said “Oh no”, “Oh no” on repeat.
They truly did not realize, or care how sick he was. I dropped off a happy, babbling baby, and picked up a baby who didn’t wake up when I picked him up. I’m absolutely mortified at how any child could be in that condition in a childcare facility, surrounded by staff. He will not be back. I would not recommend ever taking a child there, or entrusting them with your kids.

I wish I could give 0 stars because of how dirty it was, we have a yearly membership ($200) and 3 months ago i complained to staff how dirty it was, recently i went with my child and found MOLD on the toys they were playing with and im very disappointed. They need to hire better cleaners, I don’t want my child playing where there’s risk of him getting sick (maybe they just don’t care about the complaints they’ve been recieving)

Ok Folks here us what ive experienced at this "childrens museum".
I have been a member for about 2 years I never had an issue there! My son is 3 years old and of course a curious smart little boy!! So these past two weeks they clearly have been watching my son and reporting ridicoulous things to there managers! Renember he is 3!! Think about you or your kids for a second!! My son took a marker and scribbled on the wall-kid stuff!! He was washing his hands in the art room sink and some water got on the floor. A man slipped which was an accident and i felt terrible about that apologized etc. He was ok ! The cleaning lady amongst some other young kids who work there have also grabbed and yanked and were loud to my son for taking markers! One of the managers Myra decides to call me personally and accuse my son of being on the spectrum! And disruptive!! Also The vice president of ' safety Operations' mike jaccabi decides to call me as well and say the same things she did!! Ive never seen this man or any of these managers ever so clearly again they are attacking my son !! He also accused me of being beligerent with staff and said someone there feels threatened by me. Anyway I spoke to him and of course he took the staffs word over a 3 year olds actions!! Then proceeded to ban me and my son from the museum and the rest of my family as well! Oh and he had a police officer warn me to not go to the museum ot they will arrest me!! These are disgusting and atrocious accusations, They are false and im horrified that a family kids museum treats kids and members this way!! Im sick to my stomach from what this man did to us today!! I hope parents read this and know what they are about!! Also roberts townes who is director of member affairs etc. Never even called me to find out what happened!! People are disgusting and will surprise you!! I have been nothing short of polite to everyone there!! My son bumped his head on there steal bars by the big robot, slipped multiple times in the WATER AREA etc!!! Did i run to everyone !! No one called me about that!! I will continue to spread the word about this place!!

Five star. The place is super clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The kids loved the small go karts, they were perfect for their first driving experience. We enjoyed the adult go karts, although my kart had a tire issue, but staff was nice enough to replace it and let us ride some more. Mini golf is beautiful. Tickets for all the above activities were extremely affordable. We'll be back.

My family and I went to steppingstones because it looked amazing on the website. We drove about 45 minutes or so from Rockland County, New York, just to go there. When we got there, Kerry was at the front desk. She was very sweet and accommodating. She was a delight and helped us out immensely. My son had so much fun and enjoyed every aspect of the museum. We would definitely go back!

It costs $18 per person, including children over 1 year old. I didn't see anyone cleaning or sanitizing in 3 hours we spent there. No sanitizing stations. They have a water play area where over 20 kids were putting their hands in and no filtration in the water. It was black and no one changed the water. There is a schedule for activities that were not followed, and the ones that were followed were not all that. For such a beautiful and big place, it is such a waste of space. My daughter did enjoy the area of dinosaurs. The other exhibits were either incomplete or broken. I recommend this place if you just want a place for your kids to run around and be busy exploring, but keep in mind it is unkempt and unsanitary. One last thing, bring your own lunch.

Love this newly found place to come with my kids. Love the variety of activities offered. The indoor playground is amazing and laser tag room fantastic. Many other activities and options for kids to have fun. The to only reason I gave 4 as opposed to 5 stars is because we found the go-carts to be unsafe on a busy day (like yesterday). On our first round there were 4 cars including us and it was perfect. On our second try they allowed 16 cars at the same time and it was dangerous. Most cars were going quite fast bumping into each other on turns and in our 1st lap my 10 year old got in a crush that could have ended up badly had I not been right behind him and blocked his car from being hit (he spin and ended up horizontally in the middle of the road right after a curve, since cars in front of him bumped into each others and fully blocked the road). He was shaken from the experience and we finished immediately. Management graciously gave us a refund. I wonder though if more safety measures should be put in place allowing no more than 6-8 cars at the same time.

I am a diabetic and went into a sugar low while playing mini golf. I went to the main building to get something to bring my sugar up. I explained to the people working the counter what was happening and that I needed something I could drink fast that had lots of sugar. Without hesitation they made me a large glass of chocolate milk. So much appreciation to the young folks working the counter. As far as the mini golf. I won and we have played here many times. Always a good time

This review is for KinderCare North Hazel Dell in Vancouver. My nearly 2 y/o is so lucky to have gone here and experienced such a caring and awesome group of staff including teachers, the director and asst director, the cook, and the ones who clean. They do art, read stories, eat VERY nice meals together, instill good habits like washing hands and they respond to potty needs properly, and the kids get extra perks like having a pony or goat over once in a while, and there are nice play structures, and water activities and also outside time is twice a day.
Most importantly, my kid is safe even with food allergies, I see that staff like their jobs, and it's clean. I would like a more secure code, but such an amazing place. Anyone who has their child here is really blessed.

Truly wonderful school and staff. Our child loves it there, has learned a lot, and they are very communicative. Overall, we are very pleased and would highly recommend Golden Bay to any parents!

My daughter attended this center for almost 2 years and LOVED it so much! Her teachers were amazing and took time to teach her and take care of her more than any previous daycare. She is 4 and would get so sad when it was the weekend cause she wanted to go to school. The director was incredibly nice and truly cares about our children and was genuine, compassionate and considerate towards the children and families. She made the preschool graduation amazing and memorable going out of her way to ensure every child was personalized and provided the most adorable pictures and gifts. Thank you from bottom of our hearts!!! We will truly miss this center! Highly recommended and we fully intend to keep in touch and be pen pals from Alaska!

Today was our first day here. This place was great! Whoever the gentlemam/kid who helped my daughter with the go kart was a saint! He deserves a raise! He was so sweet and patient!

We stopped here on an RV trip, so my son (5) could finally run around and touch things. Everyone had a great time. Each room was tons of fun. My son spent most of his time in the energy lab or dinosaur room. We would definitely go back.

My reason for 3 stars instead of 4/5, was because of the last experience we had. It seemed OVER crowded and was pure chaos. It was hard for my child to get a chance to do anything, with what appeared to be 6 different bus loads of schools there all at once. It felt poorly planned and a recipe for disaster/losing children (and there sadly was a lost child in the water area for a long period of time before 5/6 police officers went in to take her out/find her parent). I would go again, but I would caution you to check for their busiest days/hours and avoid them. There are a lot of cool and unique things to do while you’re there. I felt most things seemed updated and well put together and my daughter enjoyed what she could get to regardless of how busy.

Amazing space for my twins toddlers (3 years old) We didn’t get to all the exhibits. Will definitely go back. Water play areas was great—do be careful floors get wet. Fossil area was fun. There’s a whole multimedia section in the back with a green screen. The tot area is fun too. We noticed a birthday space as well. Food wise the cafeteria has good food. The pizza was solid, wraps, chicken nuggets. I would say “no” to burgers. It’s nice for the kids to play in the outdoor area while eating there.

Really love the school, my kid has a great time here.

We have a very good experience with golden baby school. The teachers here are very nice and very careful. The children are so happy that they always want to stay more after hours.

Staff is very nice and friendly, kids had a blast roller skating, going on the indoor jungle gym, the ninja course, VR, and playing laser tag, and playing the Fast and Furious game. Prices are reasonable. You can spend all day here. During the summer is fun too on the go karts and mini golf. Fun place to go all year round to keep your active kids busy

Kids' 8 and almost 6 had a great time. Prices were more than fair. The staff members were friendly and helpful. It was a tidy and safe environment. Laser tag and roller skating were big hits.

I love it, it's a great place to work. All the coworkers are so nice and friendly they really give you goals on what you want to achieve in the future and what you want to achieve now and Also you get a mentor which I've never had before and you Have to get like recommendations for every center you have and it's really like detailed oriented.

We recently moved countries from Switzerland and my son started mid season at a Jr Kindergarten with Ms. Tanibet at Acorn. Coming from Switzerland, he didn't even know how to write and considering he was already behind other kids, we were so nervous whether he will be able to cope up with the change. But, we can't thank Ms. Tanibet enough, she has been a tremendous teacher. She worked so hard with him. There were initial days where he would not like to come home and do homework and now he not only loves writing and reading, he looks forward to going to school and loves doing his homework. The kind of confidence we have seen him in 4 months is simply amazing. We want to thank Ms. Tanibet for helping him at every step and Thank you all the teachers and facility at Acorn! We love the school, teachers and the facility.

Necesito saber si aun esta mis Nanci mis Jesica

My kids personal favorite place to hold their own parties and attend others. Great place for even a day out! Helpful, friendly staff - great pricing considering what's included, especially with birthday packages. The kids never want to leave, rented the entire building for a private birthday and was absolutely a hit with the kids and adults. Great deals and tons of fun!

My 4y old son has been going here for a couple months + and he loves it all the teachers are wonderful.. infact they can get him to wear a mask longer than 5 min. Then they are doing something right.. So overall it's an awesome staff we've had an awesome experience and I plan on him attending there for a long long time 😁

My grandkids have been in kinder care since the age of 4month and they love it, they been there for 6 years now and my grandkids like it alot, and to me personally if my grandkids are happy in kindercare that means they are getting treated with love, care and I like that they are reliable and professional. I'm really happy we chose kindercare to take care of our grandkids I couldn't make a better choice.

Bamboo Montessori Preschool is such a wonderful place! Our child has been attending Bamboo for a year. We are so happy with all of the positive life skills that she learns there and for her Spanish language development. Alejandra and the other teachers have so much compassion for all the children and they are experts at their craft of creating a joyful and positive learning environment for all students. We feel so lucky to be part of the Bamboo family and to know our child is going to be taken care of and learn valuable skills when we leave them in Bamboo Montessori's care.

Our daughter started at Bamboo Montessori in March 2020 and we are so glad we enrolled her. Alejandra and her staff have been fabulous and we feel they care so greatly for the kids. Our daughter has learned so much and it’s so great to see her flourish with the friends she has made. And it’s icing on the cake that she is learning Spanish! It’s great to be part of the Bamboo family.

We are now in our fourth year at Bamboo with our 2nd child in kindergarten and our 3rd child entering his first full year. Our 1st child completed three years here and is now in 2nd grade at another Montessori. With no pressure or expectations on our part, she graduated Bamboo reading at a 3rd grade level! So I can say without a doubt that we love this place and all it has to offer. We have seen how Alejandra and her wonderful staff adapted to each child fostering their strengths by giving them a space that is full of love and attention. The daily routine is well balanced with free play time outdoors and guided learning indoors. In between all that is extensive opportunities to learn how to work with others teaching grace, courtesy and most importantly inclusion.
Alejandra has a passion for the development of the child like no other. She sees the potential in each child and by the time they leave the school they have developed into a well rounded child ready to take on first grade and beyond often times ahead of their peers. The instruction in Spanish is a bonus for us since we already love and believe in the Montessori method. If you're looking for a wonderful community to have your child(ren) grow in, look no further.

The workers are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place.

My kids have been going here for almost 3 years and everyone shows them so much love and support as they've grown. Feels Like a family taking care of them❤

Bamboo Montessori is what I was looking for because they are community minded, Montessori, have strong communication with families, professional & accountable, and second language immersion learning. As a teacher, I was looking for a preschool that implemented best practices and supports the kids individuality. My son is gifted and needed to be academically challenged... Montessori activities, learning Spanish, and how to be a compassionate citizen was a great fit. My son is 4, reading and writing in English and Spanish. Alejandra and Sandra care about the kids like they are their own. They will do what is best for the child including communication with the families... Because it takes a village. Their reviews of each child are individualized and in depth. The teachers are always up-to-date by doing early learning research and professional development with child specialists (behavioral, cognitive, social). They are very professional and intentionally plan ahead for the needs of the students while allowing flexibility for student interests. Alejandra always gives me great advice with specific tips but is very open and responsive to our families diverse needs. It is refreshing to find an educational preschool that focuses on life-skills and actually implements best practice while coaching families to be the other pillar holding the child up for opportunity. My son has built many lifelong skills here in addition to a second language! I highly recommend Bamboo Montessori.

I switched to Acorn after we had some serious issues with a different facility in the Tri-Valley. From the beginning, Dawn and Shelly were a breath of fresh air. They truly cared for my son and the lifestyle of most two income families. Over the two years my son attended Acorn, his growth was exponential. He went from needing speech therapy to being fluent and having friends. Acorn worked with our schedule to ensure that it accommodated the many challenges of a three child family and two working parents. Our son loved attending and would look forward to going to class. He learned his entire alphabet, counting to 100s, some Spanish, and would come home singing everyday from school. I truly believe Acorn is one of the best preschools in the East Bay and would recommend it to anyone.

Mbumwae came highly recommended by friends. As first time parents we were nervous about leaving our daughter with anyone, never mind someone we didn't know, no matter how well regarded they were. However, when we met with her, and our daughter took to her almost instantly, we knew we were in the right place. Mbumwae and her staff have been great with our daughter, and we couldn't be happier.

We are very fortunate to have our daughter attend Bamboo Montessori. She has grown to become more independent, sociable, caring, and thoughtful about the people around her. Alejandra and Sandra are true educators who want the best for the kids. They are passionate, caring, and loving teachers. They tailor their teachings to each individual child’s need, and the kids reading, writing and math are way above the average of all other schools. The Spanish immersion is invaluable, and I have never seen a school where the teachers are obsessed about cleanliness, hand washing, and sanitize everything at the end of the day. The Montessori method really makes an impact on these kids lives, not only do they teach them grace, courtesy and kindness, the kids have so much fun working independently when indoors, but also get to see the plant life cycles from seeds to harvest in the garden. We moved away from Vancouver, and trust me I contemplated driving 3 hours each day just to have her go to this school. This is one of the hardest preschool to get into, and there is a reason for it, because Alejandra and Sandra are truly wonderful teachers. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We love them!

The director and Assistant Director will bold face lie about diaper changing, incident reports and teachers.
I would never again trust deanna or autumn with any child.
I would never again trust deanna or autumn with any child.

Our daughter started at the Columbia Group Family Day Care when she was 4 months old. She is now 21 months and my wife and I agree it is the single best decision we made so far as parents! Mbumwae is the director of the small day care and she has assistants that are all wonderful. Our daughter views all of the care givers as second parents. She is so happy there, and she has amazing social interactions with the diverse children and care givers.

I can’t say enough about how incredible Mbumwae and her staff are. This home daycare is a combination of professional and experienced staff with the warmth, closeness, and flexibility of a family daycare. Our child truly feels like she is at her second home when she is there. We are so grateful to have found this wonderful setting!

Great environment. Our toddler developed great social skills. Would highly recommend the daycare if they like individual, family like atmosphere.

Mbumwae is wonderful with our daughter and creates a loving and happy environment for all the kids in her care.

We feel very fortunate and grateful for our time at Bamboo Montessori. Our daughter has completed her three years there and our son has completed one. We are amazed with Mrs. Alejandra Paz and Ms. Sandra. They love and are passionate about what they do. We feel great about sending the kids there because they truly care for them.
Our daughter speaks Spanish very well. Her comprehension is amazing and she can carry on a conversation easily. Furthermore, the Montessori aspect has been wonderful, both for our kids and for us as parents. We were originally just looking for a bilingual program and didn't know much about Montessori programs. You will not find another person as dedicated as Alejandra to ensuring the proper development of the children while following the Montessori way. She is the real deal and puts everything into providing them with the best education, including teaching them independence, respect, emotional expression, etc. What makes us sad is that the program ends after kindergarten. We would stay longer if we could.
Bamboo Montessori is the best of both worlds if you are looking for a bilingual immersion program or a Montessori program. We have all loved it and it has truly blessed our family.

The Fun Spot is a pretty cool place they have a great indoor playground area that the kids played on forever. They have an arcade, laser tag, go karts for all ages, a ninja style obstacle course, and roller skating. They also have an area to get food and drinks and the place was clean. They also do birthday parties here. Really cool place!

Great school with a strong focus on education and engaged teachers. The rooms have lots of light which make it feel bright and open. Easy location for parents that either work and/or live in the area. Definitely recommend for a preschool.

My son goes her and he gets hurt all the time he cracked his head open and had to get two staples in his head. We are currently looking for a new daycare.

Excellent teachers and a STEM based curriculum. My son loves being here and had learned so much in his first year.

Es una buena central

Our son has been going to Bamboo since he was 2 1/2 years old and he is currently in kindergarten. Words cannot explain how amazing Bamboo is. We knew we wanted a Montessori preschool due to the teaching method and independent thinking structure. We just were double blessed by how amazing Mrs. Paz and her assistant(s) are with the students. With so much one on one attention and the small class soon size our son has grown so much while in her care. Having our son in the full immersion bilingual environment has been awesome! Kids are like little sponges and he was able to pick up and learn Spanish and continue English just fine! We only wish Bamboo was available through elementary school.

Best for kids with a good routine

It's very beautiful. I love it.

This school is absolutely amazing. My three year old has learned so much and gained a lot of independence. She says many Spanish words when you least expect it. She will take out the broom or the mop on her own to be helpful. She can see a project through to the end with amazing focus. The staff loves children and truly believe in what they do. It is such a caring, wonderful, intimate learning environment. Alejandra takes the time the truly understand your child and their individual needs and personality. We drive an hour round trip twice per day for my daughter to attend this school. It's 110% worth it.
