Woke up.. had a knot in my shoelace. Thought my day couldnt get any worse...
Not only were they patient, they assisted me with financing when I found out the problem was considerably worse than I had imagined. My car runs better than when I bought it now and I will be taking this and any future cars I own to Midas.
I always get my nuts here, they always have good sales on them. This was my first time at this store but I've been in a similar store (Fleet farm). Clean store.
I needed some brake and muffler work on my "summer fun" vehicle ('95 Jeep Wrangler). I read good reviews on Google, so opted to make an appointment at Midas. The online appointment process was super easy, I did it late at night and by 7:30 the next morning I received a text message confirming my appointment time. Gary seemed to be the shop manager, and he was fantastic and very personable. He kept me updated via phone as the necessary work unfolded. He also understood how summer fun vehicles and budgets work and he didn't pressure me into spending all my money at once. He suggested that one of the repairs could wait until next spring! I appreciate that sort of honesty and no-pressure experience!
had my tuck aligned and they set the steering wheel crooked. If an alignment person is not smart enough to set the wheel straight to start with then why keep them? made 10 o'clock appointment so I could do what I needed and it's 11 now and they still don't have me in. wrong in the first place is bad enough but jacking me around to correct it is unacceptable since they told me they would do it an I was here. my time is as important as theirs.
This review is 5 years late but time gives it more accuracy. I bought a Wolf scooter from them in 2018. There was absolutely no pressure. I've never had any issues mechanically. I had something that came loose because I wasn't paying attention and they took care of it on my next oil change. I almost went with the H people down the street but was turned off by their salespeople. The mechanics and owner at GP have always been good to me.
Was helped by Gary and Brandon in customer service. They are very nice people. Went in thinking I needed new brakes and possibly other things. They were honest and let me know I just needed a new lug nut that was loose. And got a tire rotation. They spoke with me the whole time and were very nice. I am a happy customer. Really recommend this place.
Brought my car in because I have new tires about a month old (that were installed elsewhere) and one tire is getting low every few days. Belle checked my tire and let me know there was nothing they could do because the nail went in sideways and they cannot patch it. They also cannot replace it because they do not have that specific tire in stock. They were nice but not overly friendly. They checked it out in the amount of time they said and let me know in a timely manner. I can't comment on their pricing, because I did not technically purchase anything from here.
Scott and Garry were fantastic! I came in with a screw in my tire and they helped me in no time. Scott was not pushy at all in selling me tires and made me feel comfortable. They provided great service at an affordable price! I even told them about a squeak I had been hearing in my Jeep, they test drove it and told me it was just my car getting old…nothing concerning. They could have easily of been dishonest and told me I needed repairs when I didn’t. They just got a new customer in me! I will be back for sure! Oh and it was very clean inside too!!!

I don’t care what I go here for these guys go above and beyond. They always help me with beating any competitors price. All the service reps are great in particular Adam. I’ve had a dozen or more cars here and never had any issue after service was completed.
Turned away 15 minutes before closing time due to not having enough staff. There were 2 employees back there. Not sure how many it takes to change 1 tire

Front tire with nail leaking pressure to 9 lbs of air everything was done within 20 minutes I'm tired took tire patch not rubber plug in the tread. Great service $ 30 only

The service here is second to none. We had to be brought in by a tow truck. I had my dog with me, limited money, and I was stressed. The team here was nice to my dog and let her cool down in the lobby. They weren't able to completely fix my issue due to my cracked up rim and it being late on a Saturday, but they went above and beyond to do absolutely everything they could to get me and my car safely home three hours away. So many places will simply shake their head and say sorry about your luck. I really appreciate this entire crew and everything they did for me. THANK YOU!
I spent over $500 on 4 new tires in Feb 2021. At the tire barn in Valparaiso, IN. After buying them I had problems with them losing air, eventually the tire barn fixed it.
Now, my driver side front tire is again losing air. I went to take it somewhere to get it patched & they said the tire is so dry rotted that they can't patch it ... A tire should not be dry rotted after 2 years.
My father went to the same tire barn & got tires & his tires also leaked air all the time & after only having the tires a few months, he went elsewhere to get them fixed he was told they were dry rotted & that they were already 3 years old even though he just purchased them & he went back to tire barn & they would not help him. He went somewhere else and bought new tires.

This is completely unacceptable. I have tried to call the corporate office just to be put on hold, I have tired to email & their form doesn't work.

Excellent service! I worked with a younger blonde guy to get my car 2 Benz a new tire, mount and balance. They were a very clean and professional place and the service was exceptionally friendly. I'm so glad Belle was near me when I needed them!

Had an oil change. Later, I was on the road and had a blowout tire . I called AAA for services, and they sent 2 helpful guy's , #1 took my donut tire and said that it needs air, but he returned to put on the vehicle for a spare, but it didn't fit. No one had my keys last but the WALMART auto shop. What happened to the new spare tire? How they switched.
Joe and his crew of highly trained mechanics will get you to where you’re going quickly and safely. My boyfriend and I have been to Joe for multiple repairs on our vehicles and it’s been an awesome experience. He gives honest quotes and amazing work. I would recommend anyone to take their repairs to him.
Having come from a nearby (Portage) Walmart auto care center that won us over from competing tire shops, this location has had the complete opposite effect. You need an appointment for any tire work done, but it typically takes 4-7 calls (with associated time on hold) to get ahold of them to set up an appointment, then for a significant portion of our "appointments" they are running so far behind that they don't pull the car in until 45+ minutes after the appointment, so they're effectively running the place like a doctor's office. Completely normal for shops to have the occasional bad day, but issues, mistakes and delays are the pattern at this location.
For anybody who’s looking for any sort of bike needs I would highly recommend “GP BIKES INC.” The staff is amazing both Frank and Jen were not only very knowledgeable but extremely professional which led to an amazing experience with said company. This is hands-down probably the BEST bike shops I’ve ever been to I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
I call to mention the work they did on Monday my car didn’t sound right. It had a muffler sound they were so nice and understanding they said bring in I took it back yesterday 6/8/23 in the morning without any problem they look at it and mix the problem quickly… what I like the most how professionally they are and very nice to each guest that came in..The place looks great and they also have beverage to offer while you wait.. I left very satisfied with the service they provided at this visit thank you
I brought a new Ferris 500 series,52 inch deck and i have no idea how i ever lived without it,best mower ive ever owned and will never have anything but a ferris zero turn, mower. I had a great experience shopping i told the salesman what i had to mow and he knew exactly what i needed. Great customer service ,i would higly recommend buying a mower from them,when the mower was delivered the young man was so kind helped me feel comfortable on the mower before he left,

As a previous loyal customer, I had a not so well experience and am not sure if I will return. I bought my tires online and wanted them balanced and put on my car. I asked to keep my two rear tires after the new ones were put on as I wanted them. I also requested they put black inside balancing weights. So, my car gets done with 3 tires with black weights and 1 white weight. Remember I just paid $190 for this where other tire shops are cheaper. My rear tires I requested to keep are not in the car either. Thankfully, they fix it the weights. I then leave, only to find out my locking lug nut key is not in my car and instead back at their shop. I have to turn around 15 minutes to go back and get it. Just an unprofessional visit and very unexpected experience. I would also make sure you get a quote 100% before you use them because I was shocked with the $190 for 4 tire balances and weights, like come on...
I appreciate the wonderful staff at the Valparaiso Tire Barn. I brought my wife's car in for tires and told the staff that my wife is VERY particular about keeping her car VERY clean. They listened and promised me it would be cared for with meticulous care.

Charge 145 diagnostic fee that does not come off if work is done there 1st, 2nd 100% guaranteed that check engine light would go off after 2400 more in work was done. Well light came right back oops sorry. But to add insult to injury one of the jobs was to replace valve cover because the egr valve is built into it okay 500 for that it never leaked oil prior, one week later low oil light i rush to my daughters house no oil on dip stick, oil all over right side after about 5 minutes I checked cover bolts one is stripped, no way could you miss that so oil leaking for last week. I’m so mad I can’t see straight worst review I have ever given, and I have given a few. If they make right I might retract but dam why can’t expensive shops do jobs right I would not be so mad if I went to a cheap place they are in my mind expensive parts changers. I hope this is seen and they feel some accountability and make it right. 2011 Chevy Cruze picked up on 5/7 blue should be enough info to look it up.

I used the app provided by my extended warranty provider and Tire Barn was the closest Approved vendor, I booked the appointment and arrived at location and the staff was rude and said they don't deal with warranty coverage and I must pay out of pocket and deal directly with warranty provider, even thou it states in the warranty the vendor will call for authorization and payment and the customer has no deductible or out of pocket cost being I bought the Premier Premium Extended Warranty Coverage from Carvana provided by Silver Rock. It appears the staff just didn't want to deal with the process to get authorization and payment and that is what is wrong with most companies now, no one wants to do anything. Tire Barn should not be on the approved vendor list on Carvana app and Tire Barn should not be on Silver Rock app either as an approved vendor to use, I've used my warranty at Best One Tire and the service manager took care of everything.

Scheduled an appointment for 2 new tires. The price was comparable to other tire places. It took about 25 minutes to replace 2 tires. Quick service.

He listened to what I was looking for & didn't try to sell me something that I really didn't need for my property size. He told me he would have the guys take one out of the box & get it ready for me when I had time to stop in.
The buying & financing process was very fast & they delivered my new mower the early part of the next week.
Everyone there has been very professional & helpful, I would definitely recommend going to them.

Had a morning appointment walked in 30 minutes after open. No greeting to acknowledge I was even there. Nothing special about service here..
Bought tires online and shipped them to them, this seemed to make me a lesser customer. Now granted if I came in I know in today's market they would have to order them.
To top it off I had to drive back for my lug key they forgot to put back. Ugh not a great first impression.

I spoke with a gentleman named Garry on the phone. He invited me in for a free brake inspection. I had just experienced an inspection with one of his competitors. The amount of pad life the Belle tech found matched what I was told by the other tech. However, the Belle tech identified the cause of the wear which the other tech did not find. And, the Belle tech found a noise in the suspension system for which the other tech could not find a cause. Garry advised me that nothing required immediate attention and suggested I could wait a while before having any work done. Instead, I scheduled repairs with Belle because Garry seemed concerned and honest, Belle's were better, and service was better at Belle.
Hannah was a wonderful young lady that helped me today!!! Great place and great service! ❤️
Years ago I came here with my iroc z, I was from out of town and my muffler was dragging on the road. Valpo muffler was kind enough to reattach it so that it wasn't dragging on the ground, free of charge!
This is my second time using Heinold and Feller Tire for tire services in past six months. Two different vehicles. Both times the employees were great , exceptionally nice and accommodating. Ron helped me out with recent service. I highly recommend them.
The workers there were very accommodating with my busy schedule and got my car repaired quickly. They always will do a free inspection before charging you for anything and their pricing was reasonable. Definitely will come back if I have any more issues!
This Midas has become my go-to mechanic. Recently had a faulty ignition coil, and Tim up front took extra time out of his day and worked with my warranty company to get part of it covered. Friendly and informative service. Kept me updated throughout the process.
I give this shop a 10/10 on everything. (Especially quickness, professionalism, honesty, and communication.) I’ve sent in my old suburban and they gave me an honest quote for all the repairs that it needed. Only being able to get the essentials done he said he’ll be able to give me a quote for that too. Joe and his people are top notch and triumph over competing shops.
Busy bee has helped me out of a tight spot on at least 2 occasions. Last visit I had work done on my car that involved re welding my gas tank. Their always thorough and usually get it done the same day it's dropped off. It's hard to find a trust worthy mechanic these days and I will be taking my car there again for my automotive services in the future
I believe that they have good prices and good service. They let me know what I did and did not need in a professional manner. If I would have any problems in the future this is a place that I would go back to.

They got me in so I can go home, and very well could have made it more knowing that I was in a pinch. They were quick, efficient and so great. So by the time I made it to change them, I realized they were wrong and had to make 2 trips in the snow, with bad tires, 9 months pregnant. Highly disappointed that I gave it a second try.

I rent U-Hauls often from Busy Bee. They always have what I want but the lot is usually a challenge to get in and out of. Good staff, great rates, wish they had a larger lot.
Buy tires, ship directly to the store, and schedule all in the app with no hassles in less than 3 minutes of you k ow what you want to purchase. Along with warranties honored at all walmart tire centers no matter where you go. Highly reccomend!

This store has good selection of helmets and riding gear for its size. I bought a helmet, jacket, and gloves from this place, and their prices were better than Revzilla, which makes it that much easier to support local shops.
Everyone in the repair department was super nice! I popped a tire in the middle of the night and was lucky enough to get in that morning. But they fixed it quick, answered all my questions and were very friendly!
I really appreciated the time and care the staff provided. The staff was very approachable. Staff provided me knowledge about the product I was purchasing. The staff guided me towards areas of the auto section i was looking for products in . The selection of products at the super Walmart center was great. Most of the Walmart brand items were of the best quality and best price. I did find everything I was looking for; and used the app to find things that were in stock elsewhere. It was clean, easy to navigate, and well lit. Overall, a very pleasant experience at the Walmart Auto Care Center.

5 months later the engine did the exact same thing, and the exhaust had still been loud, so I took it back in. The mechanic wasn’t there that day, so they once again said they’d call but never did. I got fed up finally, and I took it somewhere else who said the mechanic completely messed up the timing and it would cost another $4,000 or more to redo. Don’t use this shop.

This review is long overdue. I have gone to Central for a variety of needs over the last two years. Eric and Joe always get me an appointment in a timely fashion, explain/show me the problem, and explain how to maintain my repair. I struggled with finding a good mechanic for years because a lot of mechanics talk to you like you are an idiot when you ask questions. Friendly staff and very very reasonable prices. Highly recommend :)
They have changed their times but will not update this online or on signage. I drove across town to find they were not open. The manager said that corporate will not allow them to update the times.
I took my son’s motorcycle here because the dash was flashing codes after running it on a Dyno at a local bike night. I was told by another local shop the dash needed to be replaced and would cost $800. Stopped by GP for a second opinion. The staff was great and told me it simply needed to have the codes cleared. In less than 5 minutes the codes were cleared and I was on my way. To my surprise, they did not even charge me. Amazing, honest team at GP! This will be the only shop I go to or recommend to anyone. Thank you!
As a single woman I am afraid of being taken advantage of at an auto shop. I didn't have to worry about that here!! These guys are awesome and honest. Their prices are pretty awesome too. I went in for new brakes and, at drop off, I asked for an oil change too. The price for the brakes AND oil change was less than I was expecting to pay for just the brakes!! Highly recommend this shop and the awesome employees that work here!!
I called on Monday about the cats and muffler for my 04 5.7 litre hemi ram. I told the associate that I liked the sound of my exhaust, and he said, well, it's going back to stock. Maybe do research before telling a potential customer that. The stock muffler is discontinued and there is only one cat system in the entire country available. Got a great deal elsewhere , and will have the sound i wanted.
These guys are great. I went in to find out what was going on with my car and they were very straight forward with me. Told me what the problem was and fixed it right away. I am very pleased with their work. Pricing is reasonable. I highly recommend this place !!
HORRIBLE PLACE. TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME AS A SENIOR WOMAN. To the tune OF 3400.00. I had to have it redone for another 2,000.00 by another certified mechanic. Lied about what he did! Put JB Weld on valve crack too. Have pictures. Lost four serpentine belts in two months. My Discover card paid for it but he lied about everything! Discover does not warranty there purchases either!
Got into a bad motorcycle wreck. Was very injured and ended up moving out of town because of it. Was told by head mechanic not to worry about bike, they will store it until I was better.
Few months later I called because I was driving 1200 miles to Melbourne to pickup bike. Was informed they were charging me $3,000 for storage. Scum bags. Don’t use this place, they take advantage.

Busy Bee handled my U-Haul van rental. They were a pleasure to do business with; nice people. They called me the day of the pick-up to say the van was ready if I wanted to pick it up early and talked me through the return so it was easy.
I had brought my car in for a bigger job on my motor. They kept changing the day I would get it back. They changed it 3 different times. The time I actually got there I had to sit for another 2 hours before it was done. I was called into the office and they told me the price was increased by 500$. I was informed when I dropped my car off that it would be a certain price. Papers signed ect. Witnesses there. I ended up having to call the police to get my keys back. They refused to give me the original price and my keys. I ended up paying the 500$ more. Very unprofessional! I will be reporting to the BBB.

This is the only mechanic shop I use. The staff are personable, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of their services and in comparison to other competitors that I called.
They once showed me something wrong with my car to let me see it myself. Some places will take advantage of a woman who goes in alone and with limited knowledge of cars but these guys are honest.
I get the impression that they have good values based on how the owner wants his employees to spend time with their families so they are closed on weekends. I think that says a lot about a place- how they treat the people who work for them!

Everytime I've taken my car here, I've come home with more problems, Got my brakes "fixed" not even a half a year ago and found out the rods holding the brake pads in where not put back in, needlessly to say NEVER take a car for repairs to farm and fleet

Great price and awesome service! I brought my Explorer in for a wheel alignment before leaving for a trip the following day. My lower ball joints were too worn for an alignment to be performed. Joe stayed 4 hours past closing time to get me back on the road so I could leave on time the next morning. Above and beyond service! Would recommend to anyone!
I brought my car in for a simple brake pad replacement. They told me I needed all new pads and rotors. They charge me $750 for pads and rotors and for a new caliper bolt, would she probably messed up while installing my brake pads. I pull my car out of the shop squeaking. They tell me that that will go away. A month later it was still squeaking and I brought it back in. Now they explain that I need a new wheel bearing. This cost me an additional $405, which is twice what it should cost. As I'm pulling the car out of the shop it is squeaking once again as the brakes are rubbing on the backing plate. Pulled it back in immediately and they made a quick adjustment and sent me on my way. This place is it complete rip off and a bunch of con artists. Last time I got my oil changed it took 4 hours because they were trying to take the tire off with 2 lug nuts left on... They are always super busy so be ready to wait a long time regardless. The only reason they get 3 stars is because their staff is nice and knowledgable.
My car started making a funny noise a few weeks ago. I thought it was a transmission issue. A highly ranked transmission shop in Valpo even evaluated my car and recommended a rebuild transmission. I looked for a second opinion and learned my issues was probably exhaust related. I called these guys and they said they'd take a look. I brought it in expecting to leave it there or at least miss a couple hours of work. About fifteen minutes later the mechanic came out and told me the problem was just a heat shield and rusted bracket. They already fixed it. The bill was much much cheaper than the estimate at the transmission shop. I gladly paid and my car now sounds good as new.
Also very nice employees and nice waiting room. I actually enjoyed hanging out, having a complementary cup of good coffee and a few chocolate as I chatted with the gentleman at the front desk.
I will definitely take my car here next time I need work.

Always very helpful, love their late hours, great they have a retail store down the road where I have bought my jacket from , horn, lights, etc.

Extreme level of professionalism. They always go above and beyond to make sure that work is completed to the highest standard of quality. Will not let you go before making sure the job is beyond your expectations. Charismatic owner who genuinely is concerned with customer satisfaction over any profit. All employees share the same enthusiasm and friendliness. Very reasonable prices, you won’t be overcharged. Trustworthy and honest. This place has my recommendation as one of the few auto repair shops that will put attention to detail and customer satisfaction first.
Update: Since my original review, Joe has been so helpful to me and my family. He truly knows what he’s doing, but he won’t overcharge you for it. All prices for service are extremely fair, and done right the first time. As we are small business owners we happily support other small business owners. I can’t think of another mechanic that I would recommend more than Joe.

They told me that they had no idea how to change a light bulb for my turn signal light, so they used a large screw driver trying to force my lights out and MESSED UP MY PAINT ON A BRAND NEW ONE YEAR OLD CAR!!!!!!!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT COST TO PROFESSIONALLY REPAIR THE PAINT!!!!???? they simply DID NOT CARE!!!!! ALL AROUND MY LIGHT WERE DEEP HUGE LINES that SCEW DRIVER left on my new car! MIND YOU THAT IN A GLOVE BOX WAS AND ALWAYS PRESENT owner Manual that clearly shows how to change the light bulb!!!!! I will NEVER use their services EVER again!!!!!!!!! UNPROFESSIONALISM!!! Un top of it, when I pointed to them to the damage and asked for they to pay me to fix it or fit it themselves, THEY REFUSED and added that they were not sure how to get to the bulb so THEY USED SCREW DRIVER TRYING TO FORCE IT TO POP OUT!!!!!.... than, they added that they finally saw that a screw was holding it from the inside!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! THE WORST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO CHANGE YOUR LIGHT BULB!!!!!!! stay a way from this place unless you want them to damage your car!!!!!!!

Have noticed lately, that they have been more professional, honest and caring.
Big difference from before, has changed a lot for the better recently.
The new lady; I think, Sandy? Has greatly improved the image of Busy Bee a lot.
I felt like they treated me like family, very fair and honest. Great work on my car, no problems at all.
Highly respectable people. Great place for car repairs.
