Physical Equilibrium is my go to for a great workout! Lift Club is the perfect environment for small group training. Sara, Zach and all of the instructor focus on form while pushing me to get the most I can out of the work out. The work outs are customized depending on my weaknesses, what areas I would like to focus on and taking my current ailments into account. After about a year of training, I feel stronger than I ever have. Can not say enough about how great the team at PE is!
Have worked with Sara at PhysEq for a few years now and she has helped me achieve many different goals: Boston Qualifier, the Boston Marathon, my first two 70.3 Ironman, my first 140.6 Ironman and the New York City Marathon. These were all huge milestones for me and I believe Sara gave me the tools I needed to level up in distance running and endurance sports. Along with the training plans, she’s very responsive via text or phone with any questions I have regarding training. Through PhysEq I was connected with a great endurance dietician (Clare) and a great PT (Marisa).

I have had a great experience taking Pilates at PE with Amelia Bonvento. She is an excellent teacher with obvious understanding of Pilates and how it can be used as a tool to improve both flexibility and strength. Amelia thoughtfully plans each session so that the exercises build on the last session but are always innovative and never repetitive. Each week I feel like I am making progress in my routine and also challenging myself while enjoying the workout which is an ideal combination!
In addition, the PE facilities are friendly, well run, and extremely clean which is very appreciated.
Physical Equilibrium has top notch trainers in a well designed, pleasant and clean environment in Midtown. Boutique feeling with personal attention. They are centrally located but if you prefer, they also do house calls. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a personalized, results-driven approach.
I could not be more grateful to Dean Geller as a personal trainer! I started working with Dean as a post-rehab trainer, coming out of PT after my 2nd shoulder surgery. He has done an incredible job keeping me on track, progressing safely and at exactly the right pace for me. He thoughtfully plans each session, but is quick to adapt and truly tuned into what’s best in the moment. I always look forward to our sessions, and it feels amazing to be getting so strong in a safe, fun and sustainable way. I would highly recommend Dean for personal training.
Physical Equilibrium has been great for my physical and mental health. Through training with Zach M I have been able to strengthen my entire body and can feel the results every day! Zach challenges me during personal training workouts to push my boundaries while still maintaining safe bodily metrics. Thanks for making me feel so good!
I've been strength training with Sara Dimmick, co-owner of Physical Equilibrium, for more than five years and it is a wonderful facility with fantastic instructors and equipment. I love it's small size ... definitely not a gym factory! Sara has over twenty years of experience and trains all types of athletes, in particular triathletes and marathoners. I'm an endurance cyclist and given my long hours on the bike, strength training is key to having a strong core for stability and of course lower and upper body strength to tackle the miles and the climbs. Sara also works extensively with clients with injury rehabilitation. The gym has a wonderful sunlit Pilates and yoga studio as well and private rooms for massage. I highly recommend Physical Equilibrium for its personalized service and extremely talented trainers!
I love PE! Zach creates workouts that challenge me but are still manageable. He pushes me to try my hardest while emphasizing safety and injury prevention (so important for runners!). I have better upper body and core strength now. And I’ve been intimidated by Pilates in the past, but Amelia makes it accessible and fun! My posture has improved. I always leave PE feeling energized and excited and just the right amount of muscle soreness.
I highly recommended Arialle, as a coach and mentor, she is very knowledgeable in all areas of health and fitness. Arialle goes to the next level by uncovering the deeper aspect of your wellness by exploring your spiritual self, this was a new experience for me. Her guidance helped me to focus and practice my new skills relating to my health and fitness goals.
The results I achieved with UpFit Training Academy are like nothing else I have experienced. Covid really did a number on me but thanks to UpFit I lost 25 lbs in 3 months training 3 days a week! WHAT?! Best decision I ever made for my mental and physical well-being. I couldn’t have done it without the UpFit coaches and community. Love y’all UpFit fam!
Overall solid gym. Replaced a couple machines lately which is nice. Even during peak hours (4-6pm) it is not too packed. Good value overall.

Great place to workout. Hardly ever crowded and showers and everything there is clean
Staff at this location are incredibly rude. Came in this afternoon at 4:45 to grab a quick shower before our next appointment. RAY decided he "didn't want to risk staying open past 5" and tried to refuse entry. We just wanted a towel to rinse off quickly. RAY then tried to tell us we were required to work out if we wanted to use the shower. Excuse me? Show me where it says in the membership agreement we're required to work out to use the facilities. If I want to go in and stretch out or sit in the sauna for a few minutes, as paying members, we're within our rights to do this. RAY was on a major power trip and tried to refuse entry just because he felt lazy. If this was a white manager refusing entry to a black kid, it would be front page news and this gym would be sued into bankruptcy. It is illegal to refuse entry to a paying member while you're still open. I have always been polite, clean, and never created an extra minute of work for anyone at this gym. Hostile staff like RAY who are on a power trip should find another job rather than hassling customers, otherwise, you will wind up in court.
Besides this place being an outdated dive. Even if you are not under contract they will not let you quit and keep charging you. Every time I call, I am told I will get a link right after the conversation that will direct me to quit. However, this link never comes through leading to more and more phone calls. Terrible establishment, terribly ran.
I have been blessed with an opportunity to work with an extraordinary mentor. Arriale has not only allowed me to thrive professionally but also personally. Her belief and confidence in what I can do has empowered me to strive in being the better version of myself.

She has provided me access to trainings and workshops that are not only for my career but for my personal growth as well. Her leadership, compassion, and unwavering support has extended beyond the workplace making me even more grateful to be working with such an exceptional boss. On top of that, she has allowed me to see health and well-being in a new perspective, leading as my guiding light to understanding the importance of holistic health. I have never been this enthusiastic to get healthy physically and mentally, thanks to Arriale!

I’ve been working for years and this has been the first time I really felt valued not just as an employee but as an individual. She recognizes and appreciates my abilities and has helped me learn to be more confident, to prioritize self-care and have a healthy work-life balance as well. Overall, I am just blessed to be working under her guidance, she has been a huge help to my improvement as a person. I will forever be grateful for the positive impact she had given on my life and career.
Arriale's holistic approach to fitness has helped me get refocused on the importance of my health and fitness. Her program has been life changing! Thank you Holistic Health And Fitness!!
My experience with UpFit over the past year has been life-changing! This program has proven to be the best investment I've made for my personal growth and well-being. The coaches take the time to understand my goals and tailor workout routines that have been instrumental in helping me achieve them. The strategy sessions have also helped me lead a healthier relationship with food. The entire community exudes positivity and support, creating a motivating environment that encourages me to give my best effort every time I attend a session. Thanks to the consistency and accountability provided by UpFit, I've not only lost weight and toned up significantly but also gained confidence and improved health. I highly recommend UpFit for anyone looking to transform their fitness journey!
I remember walking at 6 am in the morning on Thanksgiving day, I was on my way to Penn when I saw Wes teaching. I remember, I just knew I was walking on 30th St but I did not know the name of the gym. I googled it, wrote an email and right away on Monday I got an answer. The next week I was part of Upfit community and I haven’t stopped ever since.

Do not get a membership without knowing all the details. They back you into a corner without explaining your contract. Never notified of anything but they will continue to charge you. Don’t go here
It has been such a good experience joining UpFit. People are the heart of any business and i have only experienced kindness, cheerleading and a good measure of tough love from the coaches to keep me pushing through to get back on the exercise track. It’s a great atmosphere in the gym facilitated by obvious pros in the field of fitness .Worth signing up!
Initially I reached out to Arriale and decided to join the Holistic Health and Fitness Coaching Program, because I wanted to have more energy, to manage my weight, and improve my well being. I was dealing with a lot of weight gain over the last 40 years. I was dealing with back pain, arthritis pain in my hands and fingers, poor sleep patterns. I had my gall bladder removed in the past, and I had several surgeries, including on my knee, that limited my mobility significantly.

I’m 75 years old now, and I have never exercised in my life. Not since I was a kid in school. And I knew that the only way to improve my well being now, to improve my energy and mobility, was to start to exercise and improve my diet.

I changed my nutrition, I stopped eating ice cream, cakes, pies, and sugar. I never eat junk food. I’ve been drinking low glycemic shakes daily, and I started to do intermittent fasting periodically. I really enjoy the shakes and the intermittent fasting is not that hard for me to do. This has improved my blood sugar a lot, and it has helped me to manage my weight, so I’m not gaining weight any more.

Since the start the program, the exercises became familiar to me, and I know what to expect from them, and from myself after doing them. I’m open to this training now, and it improved my mobility, self esteem, mood, stamina, mental clarity and focus. I feel much better if I do exercises that are intermediate in difficulty. I do them faster and easier and I do them with more pleasure, then the difficult ones. Performing well with my fitness training, elevates my mood.

I’ve been in the program for 5 months. My biggest take away from the program is that my mobility improved a lot. At the start of the program it was was 1 out of 10. Today it’s 6 out of 10.

Also my stamina improved during the program. At the start of the program it was 0 out of 10. Today it’s a 5 out of 10.

I can walk for an hour with no problem. I can do exercises now that at the beginning were impossible for me to even think about how to do.

What I would say to someone who is hesitating to reach out, is that it will only help you. Struggling alone with all your health problems for years, like I did will hurt you in the end. Getting a knowledgeable Health and Fitness Coach to help you change your life, now I realize is a must. I couldn’t do this on my own, and I wish I started when I was younger. Changing your diet and exercising will only improve your life. You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.  If I started a fitness training program when I was younger, I know my health today would be 10 times better than it is.
I’ve been training with Arriale for now going on 3 years. When I started, I wasn’t overweight, but the one place I had fat on is around my gut. I had a lot of gut issues and allergies, and I didn’t know why. I was eating as healthy as I knew how. I was definitely lacking lean muscle and tone.

The first thing I notice on this program, is my anxiety decreased, and my sleep got a lot better. Then my gut issues improved. I wasn’t bloated all the time. The fat around my gut started to go away. I was exercising 3 times a week, and that was perfect for me. I felt a lot stronger, mentally and physically.

I had an injury to my left hip and leg from a car accident in the past, that never quite healed. There was always some shooting nerve pain, and I had gotten so used to it, I wasn’t paying attention to it anymore. But maybe a year into the program, it dawned on me that that pain is gone. I wasn’t feeling it anymore. I thought I would have it for the rest of my life, because I went to a chiropractor and acupuncture and it helped with other things but not that shooting nerve pain. I was very relieved that it was totally gone one day. That’s when I knew things are working on a deeper level than I was aware of.

Drinking more water, the supplements, cutting out most of the sugar intake, were very helpful. I used to have brain fog for every day, I didn’t know it was from sugar. I thought natural sugar was ok. But even eating fruit was giving me severe brain fog. I just couldn’t make good decisions, at work or in my personal life. I would stare at a page for 5 mins and read the same line over and over. It just didn’t make sense, and my eye sight was getting blurry. I knew this was getting bad.

I think the biggest thing that released a lot of the mental anxiety and stress I was dealing with for many years, was the fitness. Exercising 3 or 4 days a week consistently was the biggest game changer. I was never consistent on my own. But doing it one on one with Coach Arriale is what helps me to have much better mental focus, concentration. I’m alert and present when I’m at work and with my kids now.

What I would say to someone who is hesitating joining a program is that it’s the best thing I did for myself. Don’t wait, things don’t change by themselves.
I have been going to Ed for three years. I’m substantially stronger and more active as a result. I recently broke my foot (due to an accident) and came to him limping. I left the appointment walking without a limp. I was back to normal activity much faster after the bone healed b/c of the MAT sessions with Ed.
I have been attending Upfit Training Academy for several months now and have been extremely pleased with the results I am getting. I feel my conditioning has greatly improved and that I have made great progress. All the coaches are excellent and very supportive. These personalized workouts were exactly what I was looking for and I am very happy I found this gym. I 100% recommend it to anyone who is seeking a healthier lifestyle. They really are the most people focused fitness company I have encountered.
I’ve been an on again/ off again member at this location since about 2008. Recently joined again in 2023 after moving back to NOLA, and was pretty disappointed to see it looks exactly the same, just significantly more worn down. Definitely feels outdated and unclean.

And I’ve noticed the weird smell that other reviews have mentioned. It’s very off putting.

Staff has been fine from what I’ve seen, but there’s little they can do to counteract the fact that this location is in desperate need of an overhaul.
Great gym for folks visiting New Orleans, came here a few times during a work trip. Passes are affordable, there are plenty of lockers, and the space is well maintained and clean.
Nope. No Variety. Hahaha and I LOVE Everyone’s Review! ESPECIALLY Mr. Nguyen! Brilliant! Even the Owner Admits there Trash! Equipment. Bench press is a Death Trap. Lacks Basic incremental weights. Lacking it All! ONE stationary Bicycle with back rest. ONE. Like that’s my Jam. I just Can’t. Place is Incompetent to Customer Service.
I think one of the biggest and frankly unexpected things for me was the breathing and lung issue resolving. When I fist started Arriale’s Holistic Health and Fitness Coaching program, I had severe asthma and breathing problems that were getting worse. I was on 4 different inhalers, using them several times a day, along with several other medications. I coughed all day long. My doctor thought it could be long covid and referred me to a breathing specialist. That was the road I would have been headed toward, a worsening condition and more and more medical treatment. Then I met Arriale and started this Health program. I just wanted to overall feel better, do more physical things, keep up with my grand kids, have more focus and concentration in my work. I was also focused on weight loss. I didn’t have an initial goal of lung improvements. Frankly, I didn’t imagine that I could improve that.

By getting rid of all the junk & processed foods, taking the right supplements, and exercising, within 4-6 weeks I noticed that I could breath again! And one day I noticed, "wow, I didn’t cough at all today, I can have a conversation. I can breathe again!" I was quickly able to cut the use of my asthma inhalers in half and I now believe I will be able to discontinue my other allergy & asthma medications in the future.

Arriale and I talked about clearing allergies. I have dog allergies - and I have dogs and love dogs. I wanted to work with dogs professionally. But 12 years ago, I found out I have terrible dog allergies. It was devastating to me. I never thought I’d be able to heal my body from all those allergies. I still don’t know all of the things that are possible, but I see now that it is possible to get rid of dog allergies and do some more work with dogs in my future. That gives me incredible hope & joy.

In the 2 months that I have been in the Holistic Health and Fitness Coaching program, I have lost 17 lbs. I feel like for the first time ever, that I can do this long term and sustain the changes. In the past, I would do a few weeks of a diet, and I’d get stressed out or just give up. Arriale taught me ways to build this into my lifestyle.

Arriale holds me accountable and is showing me ways to build nutrition and exercise into my lifestyle that is sustainable and not reliant on a health club, fad diet, or other program.

I have a history of depression and anxiety. For me it comes out physically. My body gets sick from stress. Arriale is helping me to manage stress. Minnesota winters are horrible, it is a cold and dark season. I started this program in the depth of Winter. I’m also a recent Widow. Doing this program has already improved my mood and my outlook on life is brighter.

Another example of physical healing is that my carpal tunnel is better. I don’t have the intense pain anymore. My doc said the only way I can resolve it is surgery. I won't need surgery as I know now that my body has the capacity to heal.

My goal is to work on my physical strength, increase my energy, and to be off the asthma meds. I see the possibility that I might get off all of the medication. I never imagined that could ever happen, until this program.

I’m 58. I feel that there is still time to heal myself and live a fulfilling life. For me, that is about having alignment with the spiritual path of what I’m here to do.

I just started doing spiritual work with Arriale. I don’t think I was ready for it before. I needed to feel better and be on a healthier path, to even be open to other possibilities. Now the timing of it is perfect, I’m ready for it. Arriale keeps the program simple in the beginning, allowing time to adapt and integrate the changes. She then adds and builds on that, while going at a pace that works for me and is not prescribed.

I look forward to my continued work with Arriale and working to be the best version of myself possible. I have hope, encouragement, belief, and confidence in building a future that is aligned with my soul destiny. And that is priceless for me.
Best decision I ever made! Personalized workouts structured to achieve micro goals on a weekly basis leading to long term results. I’ve learned a whole new meaning to empowerment, accountability, and strength. For someone who never used to workout before joining UpFit, I’m now going 3x a week and loving every minute of it. Not only have I noticed a difference physically but also mentally and emotionally, which is worth every minute and dollar. It’s the best place to really understand the meaning of trusting and enjoying the process. I’m also making new friends, which is an added bonus to it all. I love the UpFit community.
I've met Arriel about six months ago. She is a very knowledgeable coach, and she has improved my understanding of health from a new perspective. What I like about her coaching is that she teaches all elements of wellness. They include spiritual, nutrition, energy, and exercise. I would highly recommend her kickboxing program.
Great place to do workout and clean facilities and equipment. Everyone is very friendly!
I’ve been training at UpFit for about 5 years now and have seen tremendous progress in my strength and conditioning! I love how helpful and knowledgeable all of the coaches are, as well as encouraging. Having them challenge me and remind me that fitness is about mental toughness and constantly pushing past your limits to get better. It’s a great place to start your fitness and wellness journey, refine it or elevate it!
In 4 months of working with Arriale, I have seen great results in my physical and mental/emotional health. Arriale prepared a personalized multi-stage protocol for me based on my needs and we have actually been achieving the goals and milestones that are laid out. My most important take away from the program so far, is knowing that I’m capable of changing my life, and living the life I didn’t think I could. I've found my voice in a way I never have.

Physical improvements are night and day. I've struggled with arthritis for over 10 years. I had resigned myself to the idea that I just wouldn't lead a life like other people. I had daily pain and severe fatigue and brain fog. With the changes we've made with Arriale's protocol, I've been mostly pain-free for almost a month and regaining both physical and mental energy.

The improvement in my mental energy feels like I just woke up from a long dark sleep. I wasn't performing at work as well as I knew I could, but now I'm proactive and organized in a way that doesn't burn me out. I also finally found the inspiration and energy to apply to graduate programs -- something I've wanted to do for years but lacked the energy and confidence to do.

I've also been in therapy for years and have worked really hard to improve my psychological issues and trauma. But that's just it: it has required so much emotional labor on a daily basis. With Arriale, I've done Soul Retrievals that have given me answers to questions I've spent years searching for. And it doesn't require the same emotional labor as my therapy work (although it complements it extremely well!). I just feel lighter.

This also relates to the Mindset Coaching. Whereas before I always thought about what my "values" are, now I think about what my goals are. Living in alignment with my goals is so tangible, and Arriale has given me the space to allow myself to think about the things *I* want and prioritizing myself and my health, and then she's helped me figure out what steps to take to achieve that.

I had a decent diet before but was still struggling with gut issues and inflammation. I feel that the spiritual, diet, cognitive, and physical changes all go hand-in-hand and it's impossible to look at which one is enabling the others. With Arriale's help it's taken small incremental changes but I've been cooking all my own food for weeks now (and have the energy to do it). I've specifically not wanted to lose weight, and Arriale has made sure to consider that with me. So far, so good!

It's important for me to say here also that I am totally new to the Holistic approach and Naturopathy. I grew up very much surrounded by Western medicine and science, so I was skeptical about things when I started this program. But Arriale has been patient and willing to work with me to do what I'm comfortable with at my own pace. I really, really appreciate that. For others who might be skeptical like me, that's okay and all I can say is that there is nothing to lose by trying something new. All the results I've described speak for themselves! Thank you Arriale!

I'm bad about names, but the staff was very helpful & accommodating. I wasn't expecting to be here long enough to get a 2nd workout in, but here I am. I LOVE the old school Nautilus pullover machine, maybe it's nostalgia, maybe it's that I'm super close to being able to do the entire stack, either way, it's one of the most underrated & effective back exercises. I'm trying to start doing a different workout style with High Intensity Training, Mike Mentzer Rest Pause approach, & it requires assistance from either a training partner, friendly gym goer, or staff.

Staff & a friendly gym goer hooked me up today so I could hit the negative repetitions on the pullover machine. The gym is clean, it has everything you would need to get a good workout in. They also took care of me with a reduced rate as a veteran, that's always appreciated, especially with our current economy.

Good to have options for when I come to town, glad I shopped around to find a spot close to everything with good folks working & working out there!
Great facility and really nice staff. Came in for a workout while visiting New Orleans. Gym was clean and well managed, everyone super respectful and kind. Definitely recommend if you’re in New Orleans.

Your average run of the mill small gym. The guests there are all nice. Extremely overpriced for what you get though. My issue was with management. Everything was through text or email, even when I tried calling. Not to mention there was never staff on duty regardless of the time of day. I called back in April to cancel my membership. I was told I'd have to pay a hefty cancelation fee. Fine, whatever. Then i got a letter in the mail saying my overdue membership fees went to a collection agency called Internal Credit Systems. Google them, they have a history of criminal activity and fraudulently trying to scare people into paying them money. For weeks I was harassed by the owner of the collection agency who said I didn't cancel my membership as they dont allow cancelations, theyre against the law due to a contract i signed. I never signed anything. I never even saw one employee there in person, my key fob was taped to the door. I requested the said contract i allegedly signed to be sent to me and they did not provide it. The whole process was so unprofessional that should have been my first red flag. So I reached out to the gym to get things solved and left a voicemail. I got a text saying I never canceled my membership and that they were waiting to hear back from me the whole time. I of course disputed this fact as I without a doubt canceled in April and had not been back since. I even offered to pay the cancelation fee if it didn't go through. I never got a response. Thankfully my good credit score was not affected as the membership was a gift to me and the card used was not mine. Will never associate with Anytime fitness or ABC Fitness again.
Absolutely love this gym and the trainers. It is a safe space to train and everyone is incredibly supportive. You form relationships with the trainers, you get to know them and they get to know you, and they know exactly how to challenge you and support you in your journey. Joining UpFit was the best decision I have made. I have met wonderful people, have been challenged and have been loving every minute of it. I love it so much I have recommended it to a friend, who has also joined.
Left this gym due to constant pestering to do a “fitness consultation” with them. Emails, texts, calls and even approaching me during my workouts to do one. One woman (I think the owner/manager?) was straight up abhorrent about it.

She told me she wanted to be sure I was reaching my goals. Apparently to her, I wasn’t showing enough improvement after coming in regularly for months. I mean, I wasn’t losing weight, so I guess she gave herself permission to comment on my body that was evidently not improving. I'm assuming she meant because I wasn't losing weight.

I’m disabled. It might shock some people to know that not everyone is exercising to lose weight/have an acceptable looking body. Exercising regularly IS my goal. Apparently that’s not good enough for her or this was some weird manipulation to try and up-sell me something. It felt like an attempt to body shame me into buying something.

Disabled folks are accustom to some level of able-ism everywhere, but I can’t imagine anyone in the world wanting to be sold something while they’re working out. And then again via email, text and phone. And then feeling like someone is watching you in the gym to "make sure you're progressing".

Super gross and invasive. I joined a gym, not hired someone to nag and shame me. It’s vulnerable enough being in the gym. Just leave me alone.

It was bizarre, off-putting and I feel much safer and better going to the Canal St and Bywater locations. I go in, workout, and leave. Seems simple, right?

I’m leaving this review as anonymously as possible because I wouldn’t be surprised if this lady tried to reach out AGAIN about the consultation or to get me to amend this review.

It’s an ok gym for what it is and location is great. I have no problem with the gym at all, my concern is someone accidentally broke the shower head how I have no clue! But that’s been over a month ago almost 2 months now! And still the shower head hasn’t been replaced. There’s literally a home depot right across the street! There’s always gonna be overhead cost running a business it’s a $30 tax right off at that! And at these gym prices going up the company needs to do their part and fix equipment that’s broken.
Mid, I’d like to say I’m a connoisseur of anytime fitness gyms as I have been to quite a few across these 50 United States. This one was a hard no after a few attempts at a good leg pump tonight. Most of the equipment Is dilapidated and archaic especially the leg machines and squat racks. The water from the fountain tasted like ethanol but I’ll put that blame on the city. The low ceilings gave me a a fight club vibe and I will say the lighting was pretty good but the full body mirror in the male shower has horrible lighting preventing me from mirin my non-existent leg pump. The poster board which is intended to be plastered with motivating quotes and local business ads was empty, do better.

Really nice gym! I was in town for a week so their pass system is great. The equipment is old fashion but really
complete (better than many gyms), lots of space and weights, never crowed. The staff are super friendly, will definitely return when I come again in Nola!!
Great place to train my fitness clients. Clean, well equipped, and well run.
I have been going to Ed Morand on and off for a number of years - his personal concern, caring demeanor and spot-on understanding of the human anatomy continue to impress me. He has treated me for different issues - most recently knee issues - and he never disappoints!
Ed provides outstanding help with pain reduction/management as well as top-notch therapy advice. My wife and I feel that Ed’s treatments are more effective than acupuncture.

Good set up and use of space with equipment along with enough weights to go real heavy it you want to. The (Hammer Strength Equipment is great) and considering the size of the gym with whats in it and being 24 hrs it's a solid membership to have. The atmosphere is never overly crowded and kept clean which is a big bonus.
Love the space, music and equipment. Definitely not an intimidating place. They validate parking for a cheaper rate. Dana and Paul at the front desk are very nice. And I bought a t-shirt today and the material is phenomenal!
As you can see members and guests are getting in a workout on Fridaynight Feb 4th 2022 ⚜️💪🏋️- Has everything you need to work out.
From what I can tell, This is an older location, but still one of the better locations in NOLA. The equipment is nautilus, which is older but different from other locations. They do have alot of precor cardio equipment and glute machine. They have multiple sets of dumbells and kettlebells. In terms of square footage its also a larger location then others. Its also at an easy to find location in NoLa at Tobert E Lee and west end.
First, I being in the service, and the day filling Veteranbs’ day, asked for a discount. No! I was charged $16 for my entrance... Then, the owner was rude to a Latino family and perspective customers; because, they had children, stating “I will call security.” Then, the machines are from 1980’s, a few not denoting the weights of each plate. One pin came off in my hand; whereas, the owner jokingly stated, “ you broke it...” I promptly mentioned the apoxy remaining on the previously broken pin. The establishment is a dated cash cow for the hotels in the area. It’s most marketable attribute is it provides day passes, and many of its competition does not. When I said I would be posting this reference, the owner demanded I leave immediately. He did give me a refund.

Muy bueno para entrenar y tener tu cuerpo figura
I have been training the last few years with Anton Thompson and have never felt better. I enjoy and recommend Anton for the following reasons

1. The work out is once a week so I am able to fit it into my busy schedule

2. He has the ability to push and challenge without causing injury.

3. I feel better and it has improved all the sports that I enjoy/play.
Ed Morand is a true master of MAT. I have been to Ed for a number of muscle issues including neck stiffness and pain, knee joint pain, and shoulder pain. One MAT session with Ed and you receive a full education on the technique and walk out with a feeling of relief. Ed carefully tests my muscular system, identifies the areas of weakness, and corrects the imbalances caused by many issues including life stresses. It is a practice that keeps my body working at its highest capacity.
I have been a client for over 10 years and I highly recommend Ed Morand to anyone looking to relieve muscle pain and improve overall muscle efficiency.
Ed Morand is a master bodyworker and I am happy to recommend him to anyone! He has healed both my body and has also helped direct how I continue to take care of my body on a day to day basis. After years of being a dancer, performer and set builder, I had aches, pains, and muscle soreness that would not go away. His work helped to heal my body in all new ways. He also allowed me to understand the ways in which my muscles were working or not working, and through MAT and Posturology (both of which I knew nothing about before coming to him) significantly changed both my body and my posture, and I am so grateful. I highly recommend him to anyone that wants to improve and continually to improve the use of their body.
I am 78 and have been seeing Anton for about 10 years. I quit a big, commercial gym when I lost confidence in my trainer and his approach. Now, instead of spending an hour per session, I complete an intense workout in 15-20 minutes - in my street clothes. I like the convenience, short time which I can fit into my schedule and results. Anton is very good at modifying exercises and stretches to meet my current aches and pains. I recently returned from a hiking trip in Arizona and was pleasantly surprised to find that my cardiac capability was as good as when I was jogging regularly. I have no problems walking 18 holes of golf several days in a row. My doctor says that I am at least a decade younger physiologically.
I have been training with Anton for about a dozen years and credit him with keeping me strong, healthy and relatively injury-free. The strength training and flexibility work Anton uses has enhanced my performance in a number of sports and more importantly, helped make sure that my joints and muscles were well prepared for the strains weekend-athletes put them through. And as I have entered my 50s, I am even more appreciative of the benefits of the strong back, legs and core that Anton emphasizes.
Anton Thompson is a great trainer. We started together 5 years ago in my mid to late 30s. I was someone who played way too many sports in my youth and had serious hip and knee issues (from Soccer & Squash) going into working with Anton. I never really stretched, or did Yoga. 5 years on (touch wood) I am pain free and in better shape and definitely stronger than I ever was. Anton is good at pushing you but never to the point you actually flare something up. It's a short but effective work-out which is amazing for the busy professional. I run a lot (most days) and feel this work out is essential to keeping that going. This guy has your back and becomes a member of your personal team. Recommend highly.
I’ve been training with Anton for over four years now and am stronger than I’ve ever been. The workout he guides me through is so efficient, the results so impressive, that I can’t imagine replacing it with anything else. This is quite meaningful for someone like myself who struggled for years to find a workout regimen I could stick to.

Anton is kind and knowledgeable, always making me feel comfortable and supported while continuing to challenge me. And he actually makes working out fun, something I never anticipated.

I would recommend Anton to anyone, but especially those like myself who have a hard time committing to working out. You will see results so quickly that continuing to come back will be a no-brainer. Working out with Anton has greatly contributed to my quality of life. I’m grateful that I found him.
I am a physician in Brooklyn NY . I started working out with Anton Thompson when I was 52 years old. I was always active, but I was interested in becoming stronger , and maintaining good bone density.
I am now 73 years old and still working out with Anton every week.
I am pleased to report that Anton has never caused an injury. He is a real, careful, professional, and I have since recommended him to my friends, relatives and patients.
Since starting with Anton, my strength grows constantly. As a result , my biking, skiing, tennis, swimming and walking have all improved every year that goes by. My posture is good, and my gait is confident. I seem to be "youthening" because people constantly mistake me for a younger person- not the great grandmother that I am.
“Anton Thompson has been working with me for about 5 years, following an orthopedist’s suggestion that I needed a knee replacement. I no longer need one. At 73, I have managed to strengthen my body sufficiently to have no difficulty in walking or moving. Anton is a kind, dedicated, and thoroughly knowledgeable trainer whose advice and training have resulted in my feeling and becoming more fit and extending my range of movement and strength. His program of slow weights and stretching works for all ages and I feel it has been of extraordinary help in allowing me to avoid surgery and feel much better overall. I can highly recommend him and feel his work can be of great value to everyone.” -Elena H.
I've been working with Anton for about 10 years. I was "in shape" because I had been a runner -- 120 to 150 miles a month for many years -- but my hips were starting to really bark. I had to change. I don't run anymore, I work out with Anton for 20 minutes once or twice a week. And I am, at age almost 72, in by far the best shape of my life. Working with Anton has built my upper body beyond where it has ever been and my endurance is just as good as it was when I took an hour out of most days running. He's a miracle man. And a lot of fun even when he's making you do "three more" when you'd just decided you were completely spent. And he's always right. You CAN do three more...
I am on a fitness journey. I have Goals. Big Goals. Enrique my trainer is helping me. I am a lot stronger than I thought. If you are looking for an understanding trainer who listens to what you want and how you feel. Enrique is the man.

4 years ago, I had surgery on my right shoulder and ever since have had pain in my neck and upper back. I tried everything to fix it and was going to give up. Then I reached out to Ed about MAT. I was skeptical, but 3 months later I am pain free! The combination of MAT and posturology has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you Ed!
I’ve been taking classes at Beyond Pilates for over 2 Years now and I can honestly say it’s changed my body shape and confidence level. The small intimate classes are personalized to your fitness level & needs and the very experienced instructors actually care about your goals and progress. I look forward to my classes every week as they have become a part of my overall well-being.
Ed knows how to make workouts fun. When you choose a studio, you are really choosing the instructor. There's no one better than Ed Morand. I have been a client for over 15 years. I feel great after each workout and keep coming back for more."
Under new ownership. Car jacking in the parking Lot recently. Very limited equipment, my wife hates how it smells. I could list dozens of problems, however it’s open 24 hr and 3 min from my house.
The Canal St location is super nice. Today they built this strange “outhouse looking” room in the middle of the free weight area. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️😢🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ The local lady’s who run the gym day to day are very nice, but they have limited resources from the higher up’s.
