De Bomma

I've been here a few times now. We love love the food. The amazing prawns in a buttery sauce, or the mussels oh my god, or the chicken with a flakey crust. Everything hit the right spot. The best was the dessert though, the perifotols (if I spelt it right) were the best thing we've ever eaten. We recommend the whole menu.

We wanted to have some Belgium food and ended up going to this place. It’s a pretty huge restaurant with lots of seating options.

We asked the waitress there for any recommendations that she could give us and she insisted we have the Beef stew and Baked Belgian endive with ham in a cheese sauce. We paired our food with amazing white wine - Riesling wine (my partner’s choice)

The beef stew was absolutely amazing. The gravy was honestly interesting since it’s stewed in beer.

The atmosphere was great as well as the staff. :)

Nice atmosphere, nice staff. The interior delights. Large servings of meals. Tasty like grandma's.

A couple of friends and I including one who follows a vegan diet recently visited De Bomma restaurant for a meal. The service was pleasant especially when it came to accommodating our vegan friends needs. However the food didn't really impress us. It was alright. Nothing, out of the ordinary. We were surprised by the charges for things like chips or sauces to accompany the meat dishes.

The staff members were friendly. Waiting for our food for 1 hour and 15 minutes felt quite lengthy and wasn't particularly enjoyable.

In summary De Bomma has an ambiance. The service is satisfactory especially for small groups like ours. Nonetheless the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. We found the charges and long wait a bit disappointing. If you're seeking a spot, with service it's worth giving it a try; however there may be better options available if you desire a more memorable dining experience.

Cost restaurant with a good rating near city center overlooking a fortress. Very friendly people and good food, prices are moderate. Good value for money!

Food is delicious! Service is friendly. A casual place to chitchat and catch up over traditional Belgian food.
It's all appreciated that they have English menu. Will definitely come again.

Ps: food portion is quite big(and satisfying)

The restaurant is located just opposite the castle(well kind of). The food was good. Excellent service and atmosphere. Less vegetarian options but you can ask as they sometimes have some vegetarian options which are not present in the menu. It's a bit expensive but worth it.
