trying to understand why the big hype for this place. you clearly need a reservation to get in most night, unless you come at the right time between 8:30 and the kitchen closing time around 9:15 and they want to accomodate you.

foie gras seemed to be just dumped on the plate with 2 pieces of toast bread, without much flavor.
even the service was not that great with a request to add the salad in between courses which did not happen nor explained that they don't do that. I see no reasons to come here again.

The manager/owner is very friendly. He accommodated my wish to surprise my wife on her birthday. Our food is EXCELLENT! The mussels and sauce are delicious and well cooked. 1/2 Lobster dish is GREAT. It is very tasty on grilled lobster. The birthday dessert is very good as well. Nothing to complain, only happiness when we walked out. Will definitely visit this restaurant again…. Please make sure you make a reservation since it has limited seating.
Absolutely amazing! I loved every single meal, and every single second of the ambiance! Props to the staff for being so kind and welcoming 👏we had grill dover sole and seafood paella with fresh lobster and the taste was divine!
We had 2 mussels with the house sauce and it was delicious! The mussels were creamy and had the perfect texture. One pot was very big and comes with fries. We also had the lobster soup and shrimp croquettes. Everything was perfect and the service is very attentive and nice. Would definitely come back for their seafood 🦞 thank you for the great lunch 😊
The food here meet the standard. The portion is perfect, generous. Recommend. If you want to have Saturday dinner, you should do some reservation or else they are full😅

Bien qu'assez confidentiel, c'est pour moi le meilleur resto d'Uccle, avec Koyzina Authentica. Ce resto, par sa cuisine et son ambiance anti-stress, est super bon pour le moral.

Google showed this restaurant as being open, and their listed hours indicated it was open, and we walked-in during the normal (somewhat limited) Belgian lunch window, to be told by the very friendly staff member “I’m sorry we’re closed”. Lesson: Might be worth calling to double check they really are open. Having said that, the decor & atmosphere (even empty) indicated this would be a great spot! We will try to eat here again for sure.

I thought it'd be expensive but turned out really worthy of its price!! The paella was amazing. We ordered mussels in white wine and mussels with garlic and cream and these were very delicious and fresh too. Definitely worth its price (99€).
Spent a night in Bruges this past August and walked around trying to avoid the touristy places to eat and wow did we find the perfect restaurant. We had the croquettes, mussels and coq au vin and they were the best of each we’ve ever had. Beautiful restaurant and truly wonderful meal. We walked in late with no reservation and we never felt rushed. I want to return to Bruges just to go back here again.

The restaurant is located little away from the crowded area. It is in between St. Catherine and Grand place.
Staff is very nice and food options are good. You will always find it full but you can find seat. There are many non-vegetarian (meats and seafoods) options available. You may not find many vegetarian options.
There is sitting space outside and you can enjoy your drink.

A very underwhelming / borderline disappointing experience.
We decided to give the restaurant as it looked so promising and it always looked busy when passing by (which is usually a good sign). Unfortunately we were let down on multiple fronts which I will detail below:
Food 3/5
We ordered the following:
- snails (6 pieces for 15 Euros, good, no complaints)
- frog legs (excellent)
- cheese croquettes (okay-ish, nothing great but quite overpriced at 16 euros for 2 pieces)
- shrimp croquette (1 piece cost 11 euros and it was very fishy, as if it was made with frozen, low grade shrimps, wouldn't recommend it)
- mussels in snail butter (very average, lacked salt and flavour overall)
- the fries accompanying the mussels were hard, as if double or triple cooked, which can quickly turn hard when cooling down
- rabbit in white sauce (at 28.50 Euros, the only rabbit dish on the menu and it was very bland, the white sauce tasted like double cream with almost no seasoning or salt)
- veal tongue stew (24.50 Euros, excellent, probably our favourite dish)
I attached photos with all the food and the receipt totalling €153.10 for your reference (for 2 people and no alcoholic drinks)

It's mind boggling how an expensive restaurant cannot bother with basic comfort for their clients. Unacceptable by any standards.

Great place right in the center of Antwerp. Booked a table for my family while visiting the city. All the food we ordered was very delicious!!

Best dinner we had in Europe! Excellent service and an incredible meal. The truffle steak tartare was unique and a true delight. We both ordered the specials, ribeye and sea bass and were both ecstatic with our choices. We will definitely be back again.
Absolutely WONDERFUL meal from start to finish! We had the set meal of croquettes, Flemish stew, and creme brûlée…all were superb! Also we don’t drink alcohol and were very pleased to see two “mock tails” on the menu…the strawberry lemonade was amazing! All servers were super attentive and friendly!! Can’t wait to return on our next trip to Brugge!!
It was a great place in terms of food, drinks and service. The prices are a bit higher than average for these high standards and the central location, but this did not affect the attendance of the establishment in any way - I was lucky to find a free table without a reservation. Definitely recommend for a visit in Bruges.
I've been here a few times now. We love love the food. The amazing prawns in a buttery sauce, or the mussels oh my god, or the chicken with a flakey crust. Everything hit the right spot. The best was the dessert though, the perifotols (if I spelt it right) were the best thing we've ever eaten. We recommend the whole menu.

Some days ago I went with my husband to celebrate my birthday in this restaurant. We made the best decision to have dinner here. My husband ordered the beef stew and I ordered the fish pot. It was delicious. Don't order appetizers, it's enough with one dish per person. The staff was very friendly and they spoke English. The restaurant it's in the city center near the cathedral. I recommend this place for a romantic dinner.
Service was excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff. I was only there for the Grimbergen beers which I loved. 5 out of 5 for the beer. My only regret is I was not hungry enough to try the mussels which had an absolutely delicious aroma, from the diners seated next to me. Hopefully, I get to try them next time 🤞

(American review) Came looking for a taste of Bruges, and De Gastro turned out to be the highlight of the city. Gorgeous beef here (the stew is 🤌🤌). The service and food were outstanding, and at a very reasonable price point. They should really charge more — every bite was memorable. Stayed for the smooth jazz.

Watch out for this tourist trap. We ordered mussels and stake with fries and the sauce and a small dish of ketchup cost you $$ too. It’s not really the money but Nicole and dime way of doing business is absolutely “inventive”.

Exotic tasty food with a very fine présention. Excellent service. Loving the Colombian traditional food when reaches a gourmet and refined level. BRAVO!
A lot of thought went into a great selection of dishes. Very good waiters.
Our server was friendly, professional and accommodating from start to finish. We all loved our food and cleaned our plates! My son has celiac disease and they were especially accommodating to his needs, including a separate gluten-free plate with GF bread. He appreciated that they even gave him separate butter. Menu items with gluten are clearly marked with * so it was easy for my son to navigate the menu. Thank you for your thoughtful service!

I have chosen this place from Michelin guide app and it definetely proved it is worth to be included in it. Excellent cuisine in every direction. One of the best mussels in Brussels (they have variously prepared mussels in the menu. we tried 3 different versions and all of them were delicous). Perfectly cooked meat and and fish dishes. Locally brewed beer Veulmant is unique and huge choice of wine including famous fine wines like as Sancere and Pomerol. Finally, the service exceeded all the expectations. Very friendly and professional staff. 8 of us ordered things alltogether and the manager remembered all dishes and how each of us wanted the the dishes to be cooked.
P.S. Though the restaurant is in a Michellin guide, prices are affordable and the place is definetely must visit if you like fine cuisine.

Nice family-run restaurant that seems very popular with locals and tourists alike. Good value for money and very friendly service. The wine selection is rather small, but the Calabretta we had was quite good. Would come back here any day. Book ahead if you can.
Yes it’s packed so make a reservation beforehand, yes the service is firm, not rude. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive to us. We had a huge group of 14 and they managed to take very good care of us. Mussels, risotto, carbonnade were amazing.

Booked De Pottekijker for my birthday dinner with my family and the experience was really good. Cozy atmosphere, great food. The slow cook ribs were amazing as was the fish pot. Will come back again!

We had a scampi in garlic sauce and a cocktail with brown shrimp as appetizers. Both of them are not bad, only my understanding of scampi is different from the restaurant. The main dishes we ordered are a fish pot and a beef stew. The fish pot is quite rich, there are shrimp, codfish, salmon, and mussels in a very creamy sauce. The beef stew is just okay. The flavor is rich and special, however, there is one particular flavor in it that is extremely strong and kind of covered all the other flavors... The drinks are fine.
They also served bread with butter but..butter in a small package...
I would recommend it as a dining place and I may revisit it if nothing else to try in this town, but I would not recommend any special dish that you really have to taste.

My last meal in Brussels. What a lovely place. Great service, starched table linens, good food, generous portions, no fuss. Pricey but worth it. Was tired of fried potatoes so I had boiled ones 😄
My opinion is that if you want the real French-Belgium food w. French fussiness of service. This is the go to place. I went there for 1 thing only that is the steak tartare. It is excellent with the option of making it yourself or letting the kitchen do it. I opted for the latter as I was running short on time. The steak tartare was incredible, not minced like other places but finely chopped and with the right amounts of gherkins and peppers. It came with Belgium fries. The atmosphere, vibe and service was also perfect, I had a small insect in my water which was promptly apologised and replaced. Servings of food are big but reasonably priced.

The food was good except for the sausages, they were over cooked. The beef stew is easily the best dish they serve and their fries are good but really greasy because they’re fried in pig lard. The service was good.
We had garlic mosselen and they were so sandy we could not finished. As well as a beer. The prices are a bit high.

We chose this restaurant from the Michelin guide. On the other hand, we were looking for a restaurant with a Michelin star, but it was a little late for a reservation. It was our last evening in Brussels, although I was quite hungry as I was pregnant. We wanted to go inside and try our luck and explained our situation. They arranged a table for us in this restaurant, where we were greeted in a very nice and hospitable manner. You can choose the dishes yourself or from the menus. We chose a salmon dish and goat cheese salad and a rmenu with dessert. It was like a sweet treat. We liked the food very much. Portions were very filling and even I couldn't finish it. Dessert was offered as a treat and they stated that they had other special desserts, and the treat was an ordinary dessert. We loved the goat cheese. The employees were very interested and in the meantime we drank wine with the meal. As for the prices, it cost around 50 euro per person with wine. It was a nice dinner. It is a stylish, high quality and hospitable place that can definitely be preferred for a dinner in Brussels.

Good option for some nice Belgian food and beers of course. We loved the carbonnades (a beef stew cooked in beer, Belgian cuisine classic) and the Angus fillet. The courses are normally served with fries or salads. One main dish and you will be fully satisfied. Nice ambiance inside and large terrace to sit outside.

Déjà pas de sourire, pas un bonjour rien et il nous dis qu’il va voir avec la cuisine si il peut nous servir. Il était tard jusque là c’est normal… à son retour il nous annonce que c’est bon super ! Nous demandons s’il est possible d’aller à l’intérieur il nous annonce « Ah non non je vais pas vous redresser un couvert » jusque là ok! On s’installe on choisis nos plats… le serveur revient pour prendre notre commande, nous annonçons nos entrées et il nous répond « ah non non je vais prendre qu’un plat je vais pas vous servir plusieurs plats en plus vu l’heure » dans ce cas pourquoi nous accueillir et nous faire perdre notre temps ?? Nous avons donc évidemment proposer de s’en allait si on le déranger et que nous allons aller ailleurs dans ce cas… « il nous a dit oui au revoir et vous avez des snacks juste à côté » sous entendu nous avons rien à faire dans son restaurant! Alors je ne sais pas si ce monsieur était déranger par notre jeune âge, la couleur de peau de mon amie ou alors si juste c’était une personne en manque d’intelligence. Mais le commerce ne fonctionne pas comme ça. Le respect est le minimum sur ce marché. Je conseille de fuir :)

Nous sommes arrivés un dimanche à 14 h. (heure de fermeture annoncée sur Google = 15H)
Nous avons donc demandé une table pour quatre, une personne très désagréable, fermé, nous autorise à s'asseoir uniquement en terrasse, car "il était trop tard pour aller dedans."
Après 2 minutes d'installation et de lecture, la personne qui nous a accueillis nous demande si nous avions fait notre choix.
Nous posons une question sur une entrée, il nous interrompt en précisant que nous n'avions pas le droit de prendre d'entrée. Uniquement 1 plat et pas plus, car monsieur n'avait pas envie de rallumer certaines machines ????????
Lorsque nous commandons nos plats, ce monsieur ne cesse de nous dire "celui-ci n'est pas disponible, celui-là non plus" alors nous lui posons la question "Que pouvons nous manger ?"
Il nous dit "Mais si vous n'êtes pas content, vous pouvez descendre la rue, il y a des snacks". Nous nous sommes levés et ce monsieur parlé dans sa barbe en insistant d'aller au snack plutôt que chez lui.
Alors, comment dire ? Ce restaurant est absolument le pire en termes d'accueil, le personnel est incompétent, vulgaire, et condescendant.

Service was superb, very attentive and friendly.
Food was average above overall, wouldn’t say all the dishes was the best I’ve ever had in Brussels but definitely the service and whole dining experience made up for it. Weekday lunch menu was also a deal!

This restaurant is close to the city center, offering good traditional Flemish dishes like mussels, meat stew, local fish etc. Absolutely loved the paprika butter spread with bread offered on the house, before our food was ready. The sorbet dessert with Limoncello was lovely too. Friendly staff as well. Online reservation is possible and advised. Overall recommended.
We had a dinner for a couple. First - you have to book a table, otherwise it will be low chance that you will get a table when arrive.
We were seated upstairs. Soon all tables were occupied.
Service is very good. All waiters were attentive, advised us.
I took a famous beef stew and my wife - beef tenderloin. For starter we had shrimps in garlic butter. All three meals were of high quality and taste!

Suuuper tasty pasta! Staff also friendly and there was cute dog name Hopi coming to me asking for a caress 😆🥰 I had nice dinner here 💗 will come back for sure!
It’s interesting that I found all clients are from Asia when I walked in. I think they all checked Google reviews and picked it? The lobster spaghetti is awesome. The mussels and beers are good. The starter and dessert are ok. The service is excellent! Highly recommend it when you visit Brussels.
Classic dishes with high-quality ingredients in basic presentation style. Milk-fed lamb from the Pyrenees was great, although vegetables and gravy were a bit bland. The bottle of rioja wine had a corky smell and taste, but the waiter was quick to get a new bottle. Quite expensive given the setting and presentation.
Food is delicious! Service is friendly. A casual place to chitchat and catch up over traditional Belgian food.
It's all appreciated that they have English menu. Will definitely come again.

We came across this restaurant when walking around Brussels, and since we were looking for authentic Belgian food, we looked into making a reservation. I am so glad that we did, because it was an incredible meal with even better service. We were greeted by friendly staff, and the chicken vol-au-vent was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal, especially for traditional Belgian dishes!
We ordered the Trout, Scampi Shrimp & Steak Tartar. The trout had to be dissected carefully to avoid bones, the potatoes and salad it came with were delicious. The steak tartar was very good. The scampi was also excellent. Would go again.
Highly recommend this place. The meal was delicious , the waiter was great , such a friendly man . Everything was perfect .
The restaurant is located just opposite the castle(well kind of). The food was good. Excellent service and atmosphere. Less vegetarian options but you can ask as they sometimes have some vegetarian options which are not present in the menu. It's a bit expensive but worth it.
If the kitchen closes at 22, you cannot declare that the restaurant is open until 23

je n'ai rien trouvé de négatif, ce qui ne veut pas dire que je me suis ennuyé !, que des surprises, de l'amuse bouche via les (2) entrées au plat principal, le ceviche de bar. délicieux et différent. les croquettes de homard, fantastiques, comme l'oeuf poché au pleurotes, le chef a beaucoup de bonnes idées, il maitrise parfaitement les épices (croquettes et ceviche), super technique sur les croquettes et l'oeuf poché, bon vins, rien a dire, et un excellent rapport qualité pris de nos jours, une des plus belles addresses d'uccle,,voir de Bruxelles, je je connaît pas de meilleure adresse pour la cuisine sud américaine , colombienne pour erre précis. bon digestifs ;-) et bientôt le beau temp et la terrasse. incontournable, unique.

The food was certainly delicious but the portions can be a bit bigger as compared to the price that you pay. They also have a great selection of beverages to choose from.
Side dishes come at an extra cost, something to take into consideration.
Reservation is definitely recommended.

This is our favorite restaurant to go on a Sunday night because the kitchen always open bit late compared with other places, didn’t visit for couples of weeks and they just renewed the place and look amazing and modern touch of fancy, the food as always never disappoints, very friendly staffs, nice environment and lekker food!

Typical Belgian brasserie, possibility to dine inside and out in a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and timely. Food was good and portions were generous. The price was competitive because we used the Fork (50% off) otherwise it would have been quite expensive.

Really friendly staff, nice vibe in the restaurant. Food was good though quite expensive, especially the desserts.

In one word: sublime! The food was overwhelming, we had a saddle of hare, never eaten that good, the wine was excellent and not overpriced. The chef came to our table to explain the dishes, the service was fantastic. The place itself is authentic art deco. This hidden gem is an absolutely must to experience
I really enjoyed this place. Their menu is short and simple, and the dishes are nothing fancy, but the quality of the ingredients and flavors are excellent, and for a very reasonable price. It's a cozy little place, so probably not a great choice for larger groups and you should book ahead. Service is fast and friendly. Basically these people know what they are doing and they do it really well!
Beautiful restaurant tucked away near the North of town. The old bistro interior sets a great tone, and the (very friendly) kitchen staff came to elaborate on all the suggestions at our table. The small menu suggests that these people are set on serving high quality, fresh products. And they delivered: top notch stuff! I'm afraid I felt that our waitress didn't really fit in.

I was a bit sceptical at first when this place opened, based on the pricing. It looked pretty expensive (bare in mind you have very little restaurant in the neighbourhood, so this one stood out as expensive). We went for the lunch, and it was excellent. Entrée + plat for 16,5€ is unbeatable, especially when you get hat you get. The food is refined, and delicious. The rest of the people around us took plates from the menu's and where very happy. The cook loves the flowers in the plates, which is his touch I believe. The terrace is very comfy, with a laid back atmosphere, service is kind, and effective. I greatly recommend this place
Fancy herbal tea, super nice and helpful waitress (sat us for 15 min so we could have drinks, with a few loud kids in tow, right before rush lunch hour on a Sunday). Coffee was lukewarm though, and prices a bit on the high end.
We had a high expectation from the great reviews of this restaurant on different sites. Our first visit was also failed due to a full restaurant on a weekday night. When we eventually got a table, it was quite disappointing. The menu is limited and the dishes are nothing special. They are also not very generous on their sauce, giving mostly dry pasta. Not convinced.
