Manchester Airport Short Stay T1

The staff go over and beyond our car would not start probably didn’t like being stationary for ten days very temperamental car, after flying for seven hrs it was the last thing we needed RAC couldn’t come for 5hrs and I was near to tears. They got the car started and I even got a cup of tea and nothing but kindness would so recommend this company. Very reasonable prices.

Mistakenly I parked up at the T1 drop off point. But then read the notice saying you would not be able to pick up from the T1 drop off, I decided to go to the short stay to pick up. I must say that it was a pleasant experience. There was a nice chap to direct me and all went like clockwork. It did cost £6 and if you stay any longer it costs more. But generally I am impressed.

Turned out better than I expected. But my expectations were unbelievably low.

But it's still very expensive. I needed to kill time outside the airport to ensure I didn't incur even more expense.

I researched it in advance by "driving" there on streeview and got best possible postcode etc.

But I still went into a wrong turning and was charged £5 for zero minutes !!!!! Be very careful you can't reverse out.

It's a total rip-off but if you're careful the costs can be kept down.

I've only given it 1 star because I'm not going to give it any positive feedback it doesn't deserve.
In an ideal world I'd go nowhere near the place.

So they think making you pay a minimum of £6.00 to pick someone up will ease congestion?
Go and witness the mayhem. The only thing that's changed is the charge for the privilege.
We got picked up and dropped off at Reykjavik airport - no charge at the airport.
We got picked up and dropped off by taxi at J.F.K. - no charge at the airport for the taxi.

T2 says £6 10 mins £5 5 mins, mcr airport have been ripping people off for years. And it's nearly impossible to get out in 5mins drop off because of the que. Also, they have airport or normal police patrolling the area to ensure you have pay! And a £2 non-refundable charge for a trolley to move your baggage from the carousel!. Absolute joke!!.

Decent car park, easy to find. Gets very busy and can get jammed by the entrance due to selfish people collecting (presumably that's what they're doing), pulling over and blocking you passing. A few minutes from the terminal across the road. Expensive, but no worse than other regional airports. Be careful to park on the right floor...ground floor is best as you don't need to bother with lifts or stairs.
