The coursers are really helpful and intensive, there are many assignments and projects that helped my to develop my technical skills, after graduating there was an opportunity to join real client projects to address their unique business needs, this is crucial to improve soft skills like communication and problem solving, as well as continuous enhance technical skills, and this part of experiences is so important to put in the resume to get an interview. And the teachers, TAs are also very professional and helpful. TAs are online to help students almost everyday even after dinner. Highly recommended to improve yourself at WCD.

WARNING - DO NOT WASTE A PENNY ON THIER DATA ENGINEERING PROGRAM AS IT'S A RECIPE FOR DISASTER!!!

I completed their Applied Business Intelligence program, however their Data Engineering program wasn't good and this review is purely about DE program.
Background: I worked in traditional ETL space for a while, know data modeling, most of the lingo in the data space.

Most of the companies out there will ask interview questions on SQL, Data Structures and Algorithms for any of the Data Engineering roles. You will not learn any of those skills in this course whatsoever.

The biggest problem I encountered is there's way too many tools squeezed into this DE program. You don't get fair amount of depth and wide knowledge on any of those tools because you're rushing onto the next without having your foundations strong.
We started with Docker, didn't quite learn much and teaching style of that particular instructor didn't help whatsoever to pick up any bits and pieces of docker commands to deploy applications. I remember almost everyone in my class struggled to capture the docker concepts. When instructor asked in our class if we're feeling confident about docker then everyone said, no, we're not and confused. Some even said that they will have too google or take a separate docker class or lessons to pickup those skills.

The data modeling module was good since the instructor had pretty good background, took his own time to explain the concepts in depth. Almost everyone is the class felt happy about that topic. In data engineering, data modeling is crucial part of building infrastructure. Hence, the extra time and effort to get through those concepts are very important for anyone. If the data in the fact table is not stored at the right granularity then entire data model can go wrong. I was happy that they assigned an experience instructor to that module. Forgot his name but he works as an Analytics Engineer.

Spark is another important tool to know in order to survive in data engineering space. I personally think, they should have at least assigned 8-10 weeks for this topic since it's not easy to pick up Spark. There's lot to learn about Spark from in-memory, caching, optimizations, performance tuning, optimization, bucketing. Only some topics were covered to good depth while other areas were skimmed.
There was lot of AWS infrastructure work we had to do like setting up network, IP's, firewalls which could also be done using Terraform (Infrastructure as a Code), but we did lot of manual work.

Overall, it didn't stand up to my expectations and had to drop half-way through the program. Couldn't transfer any of the amount I paid for DE program to another program of theirs and had to pay full fee for the Applied Business Intelligence program.

It wasn't worth paying all that heavy $$$$ to sit through a program that doesn't teach you a lot. I personally don't recommend anyone enrolling into their data engineering program.

I attended WeCloudData Applied BI program in 2022 Jan and finished in early April. After the course I was assigned a mentor helping with my resume and interviews, from June to until I landed a DA position in September. It was a very comprehensive program, covering different business industries knowledge and required technical skills.

Every instructor, TA and mentor at WeCloudData are all responsible and helpful, they always would love to share their experience. I'm very glad that I made the decision to grow with WeCloudData. I highly recommend this program/institution. At the same time, I must say even with all the assistance how far you can go is depending on your determination and how much efforts you make.

Great place to learn new skills, I enrolled for Data Analytics bootcamp by 2021, Post 8 months of completion I have landed role of Senior System Analyst

Some of the pros:
1. Team of lecturers are very knowledgeable and were currently working in Data field
2. They teach what are the required skills (Python, Excel, PowerBI, Big query, Tableau) that is required and how to learn and implement in Data field
3. Part of Bootcamp we were able to work in real time projects which was very useful in adding it as portfolio under Github

Would definitely recommend WeCloudData for any of their Data courses. Its definitely worth the money and time spent

I had a great experience with the Business Intelligence bootcamp. It was beginner friendly and well structured. I learned new skills like SQL, Python, Tableau and Power BI and used those skills to work on projects i could add to my portfolio. The course had useful quizzes and assignments to practice my new skills. The icing on the cake is the career guidance where they have a mentorship program. I highly recommend this bootcamp for people looking to pivot into the world of Data Analytics.

I got my data science and big data diploma at WeCloudData this July and absolutely loved the experience here.
The program was fast-paced yet allowed enough time to fully understand the concepts, and practice with different projects. I also enjoyed the projects to be a combination of the skills taught throughout the program. Guest lectures were very helpful for students to improve their learning in a more interactive way. I highly recommend this program and WeCloudData to anyone who wants to launch a data related career with practical, hands-on experience.

I attended the Data Science & Big Data Diploma from WCD. It helped me learn new concepts in Data Science, Big Data and even an introduction to Deep Learning. More importantly, they give you a chance to work with real world projects with interesting clients and present insights. The curriculum is quite comprehensive and well designed. The group assignments, industry guest lectures and discussions were also fun to be a part of.

Even though after few weeks of the course, we had to move the classes online due to the pandemic, they ensured that the learners still have an ongoing engagement and have all the necessary tools and people in place to help with the learning experience. Everyone in their team is extremely helpful, including the lecturers and teaching assistants. They try to guide you as much as possible and give enough personal attention. Only thing that is required of the student is to put in their best effort in the process of learning - be curious (it's a data ''science'' program), follow their instructions, work on your assignments, projects and ask questions.
