I have been to West Kensington Surgery 3-4 times since returning to the UK and have been incredibly impressed with the caliber of all the staff and service provided. From the receptionist to the nurses whose bedside manner and approach was exceptional. I met with Dr Skinner who was very helpful and knowledgeable and equally empathetic and able to disseminate information and clarified a few things that was very concerned about. Thank you for all you do!

I recently had a rather disappointing experience with the customer service at this practice. I called them after being informed that my GP had moved to this location, as I needed to retrieve my patient file while living outside the UK.
However, the receptionist’s approach was far from helpful. Upon asking for my date of birth and checking their records, she briskly informed me that I was not registered there. Her tone was unfriendly, and it felt like she was trying to dismiss my concerns quickly.
I explained the situation and mentioned that I was advised to call this number, only to be told that there were two practices at this address and that I should contact the other one. When I requested the phone number for the other practice, she unhelpfully suggested I should ‘just Google it’. Even when I asked for the practice’s name to aid my search, she refused to provide any further assistance and asked me to “Google it” again.
Expressing my dissatisfaction with the level of service, especially since her role is to support and assist patients, her response was dismissive. She reiterated that I was not registered there and that “this is not my problem”.
This experience left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a patient. It’s unfortunate that the first point of contact in a healthcare setting lacks the basic courtesy and willingness to assist, which is crucial in fostering a supportive and caring environment for patients.

I have been with this practice for decades and I have been very pleased with the care and consideration I have received. Dr Skinner is my GP and he is just wonderful and kind.

I went with my baby some weeks ago, the attention that we received was faster than the others places.
The staff of the clinic are friendly and I feel comfortable in this place.
I really recommended visit West Kensington NHS GP Surgery.

I called the Surgery as I needed an appointment. They were able to give me an appointment at relatively short notice (I think the next day). All the staff are charming, and the receptionist on the telephone could not be more helpful. I could not recommend this practice more highly based on my experience so far.

Dr Paul Skinner is a true gentleman. Very kind, helpful, and enthusiastic. I am blown away by the time, effort and care made by his team in transferring my records and setting up new services. Dr Patel was even so kind as to call me on a weekend! WOW! My previous GP Dr Luma Ali, was also a wonderful professional, however, since ‘leaving’ Canberra Old Oak Surgery, patient care has been negatively affected. Dr Skinner has capacity (currently) to register new patients. I thoroughly suggest his practice to you! Yours faithfully, Aaron

Wonderful GPs and Nurses! Always do thorough examination and give proper treatment. Receptionists are rude and abrupt however. Always up for confrontation, even when there’s no need for it. Often make mistakes resulting in having to put in new requests for same, unresolved issue- prolonging treatment unnecessarily.
