Visited after a few days of rain, the waterfall looked great, it's a beautiful walk, fern city, streams, birds, giant old gum trees and the odd black snail. The falls are visible from a viewing platform some distance away, you can't get to the base of the falls easily if at all, (very steep and sketchy terrain, especially when wet). Track was very muddy and slippery after recent rains, so if you plan on going when wet good waterproof footwear helps. The walk is about 5km or 2.5 to 3 hrs return, little kids might struggle, middle aged overweight adults might also struggle, but with a few short rests to recover along the way it's doable. Just give yourself plenty of time and daylight.

A very pleasant walk to a lookout looking across to the Falls. Suggest an afternoon walk to get the best light on the Falls. Sign at car park is confusing, distance to the Little Aire Falls is 2.6km each way. I did the return walk, taking photos and did the circuit walk around to the Triplet Falls in 2 hrs 40 minutes, total 6.69km. From the car park, track descends steps and little aire Falls walk branches off to the left. Muddy in parts, the worst section is after the third board walk creek crossing until the track picks up an old tramway formation (c 0.8 to 1.3km) from car park. Final 1.3km is mostly on more gravelly path. About 380 m total ascent and total descent for complete trip. Beautiful forest.

This was one of those walks where I should have read the sign! It took me nearly 2.5 hours. The old wooden sign says 2.5km I think and the newer one say 4.5km but my phone tracked over 7km as a looo and in my experience this felt more accurate. It was extremely wet and I was grateful for good comfy waterproof boots. Lots of steps and reasonably difficult but well worth the view at the end. At least all the rain made for a good waterfall.

If you visiting Otway tree top, you don’t want to miss this beautiful hiking place. It’s one of the good tracks I have been too in recent times. It’s mix of a track in a beautiful and mesmerising rain forest. Walk along side the beautiful trees and lovely fauna along the way. The track is mix of both steps, highs and low pathway. Track itself is approx 2.5km long one way but it’s worth doing it and watching the amazing fall. Watch out for a weather conditions before you go for to do this hiking. Forest is pretty dense and not ideal for rainy day. On your way to fall you’ll come across few little tiny water ways which look awesome. For nature and bird lovers you will hear serine sounds of trees and birds in the background, which truly is relaxing and away from city noise. Worth giving a try and watch this magnificent water fall.

Grade 4 hike which was 5.5km (return) and takes approximately 2-2.5 hours. Extremely muddy so need shoes with good grip, but ground was pretty even with some steps. View of the waterfall was pretty.

Little Aire falls is a long walk leading up to a viewing platform from afar. You can see the waterfall really clearly from the platform but was disappointed that you could not get down closer to the waterfall. The walk involves a lot of steps but apart from that the track is not difficult. Triplet falls is also in the same area and I would recommend doing both waterfalls on the same day.

A beautiful hike, a little more challenging than Triplet Falls but some beautiful scenery along the way to make it worth while. Be sure to pick your time of day as I was there around lunch time and the sun UV made it difficult to capture photos. All in all was still impressed and would recommend
