WAZA Japanese Restaurant

we had an amazing dinner here, super quiet sunday night, the meals were very fast and super hot, fresh, and tasty - i had a katsu ramen and my partner had a grilled eel rice dish. great value for money as well. we eat a lot of japanese food and this restaurant ranks super high for us!! we would definitely come back.

Seriously peaceful and lovely vibes in here with the ghibli piano music they have on. The food is delicious. Highly recommend the namban chicken for its delicious sauce. There's not many staff members (only one guy who often disappears into the kitchen for a while) so help yourself to the self service area with water, cups, sharing bowls, cutlery, and condiments. The cold ramen is great on a hot day and it's a dish I haven't really seen elsewhere. It's cold ramen noodles mixed with a sweet sauce with a pretty salad on top and a protein of your choice. Some dishes are on the smaller side for portion size.

I ordered two salmon bento boxes and don't know how you have the decency to serve this to someone. The photographs speak for themselves...

Four of us came to Waza Japanese Restaurant on a Saturday evening for dinner. It was very quiet and we were the only patrons, other than a few delivery drivers who came in every now and then to pick up orders. I ordered the sukiyaki beef Udon and a mango-flavoured mogu mogu drink. The food was served quickly and was very delicious. I love this little restaurant, and I think it deserves 5 stars because I have no complaints. Quick service, tasty food and efficient customer service. Thank you Waza!

I ordered the beef sukiyaki teishoku which just means a set meal. It included a spring roll, edamame, mash and a salad for an additional $3. This brought the total to $16.80 which is pretty affordable.

Other than that, the food itself was great. The sauce was tasty and they went well with the rice. The beef is soft and flavourful, and the side dishes were great as well, providing some variety to the meal.

I also ordered their namban chicken for $9.80 and it was so good. The sauce coated the chicken well. It was delicious as well.

Overall, I recommend coming to this place if you wanna try out their food. It’s affordable and tasty

One of the Japanese restaurant in the Clayton area.
We visited this place to celebrate birthday. The sushi portion is quite generous, so we are not able to finish it all and have to take away some of the leftovers.
The taste is quite authentic and the sashimi is quite fresh too.
