The worst doctors surgery ever avoid at all costs. Dr Bindra does not have time for you or have your back as a patient AT ALL. He needed to send an urgent referral to a hospital department, he didn’t he decide to book me one 7 months in advance, I had to chase multiple times this resulted in my condition to become life threatening.
I saw a locum doctor there previously with a serious medical condition ‘a lump’ he prescribed me a pathetic cream.
Bindra is so blazay about things it’s dangerous he does not care. If you want a doctor who cares and will fight for you - do not consider this surgery at all.

On the rare occasion I try to make an appointment it's impossible, I'm happy to book in near future as NHS worker I understand the pressures and rarely need same day, but no consideration for working people unable to call at 8 or accept an appointment during working hours.

5 star to one of the receptionist Grace who was a massive help to me! She was so understanding, kind and extremely helpful. I had another encounter with one of the other receptionist however I didn't get their name and they were extremely rude, unhelpful and had no sympathy whatsoever. Grace went above and beyond to help me, many thanks to her.

I felt compelled to write a review when I saw how many negative reviews there were for Derry Downs surgery. I have always been able to get an appointment when needed and I have always found the reception staff helpful. Yes, sometimes you have to wait in a queue on the phone and I haven't always been able to get a non-urgent appointment straight away - but what doctors surgery isn't understaffed these days?! I Always get the help I need and I have Always found Dr Bindra kind, understanding and helpful and he has always called me when I've emailed or telephoned to ask for help for myself or my children, and whenever I've needed help urgently somebody has always been able to see or speak to me. I highly recommend Derry Downs surgery.

Every time you call and highlight no return calls or actions not being actioned, the staff refer to their experiences with their doctors
are the same but as a patient calling about my own queries, I do not want to hear about the staff's doctor issues and that i should just except it's that way for everyone everywhere and that's ok when it just isn't ok.
The blame of human error is used far too much that there's an issue in that itself!
Finally, fed up of being told to email by reception staff to then receive a text from the dr/surgery to tell me I shouldn't be emailing....tell the staff that then.

Rang today for travel vaccinations, told can't get them as they have no nurse to do them until maybe middle of Sept'. Alternative is to go to a travel clinic and pay for them. Asked what happens if there is still no nurse in Sept'. Told "we'll cross that bridge if we come to it". Really? Worse thing is on each occasion I've used this practice there's been an issue with, "we don't have a nurse". Oh well... It's a salary saved.
