NO STARS! (Had to give it 1 so I could publish this review)
This Surgery is I'm sure, a very busy one. Having said that, they would have a slightly easier time or at least more time if they all knew what they were supposed to be doing,
While the reception staff are generally friendly and helpful, the actual attention to detail with regard to patient care seems to be sadly lacking.
I have on more than one, two, three, four, five, six occasions been fobbed off with misinformation. Left without medication. Been accused of losing a prescription , which the receptionist had already admitted had never left the surgery and spent an Hour standing in a chemists waiting for a prescription to be sent over electronically. I had already called into the chemist at around 3pm that day only to be told thay had not received the script and that I should check with the surgery to see if there was a problem. On phoning the surgery, I was informed that the script had been signed off and sent to the chemists earlier and that I should go back to collect it after 4pm.
At 5.30 pm, I once again went to the chemists , , no script.
Pharmacist call surgery . . . It has not been signed off yet! However the surgery says they will sign it off and send it over in about 10 mins.
At 6.30 pm No Script, Chemist is closing, Surgery is closing and I have No Medication!
During my Hour waiting at the chemists . . .
Woman comes in with script for tablets that can not be issued her because they are no longer available anywhere!
She had to return to the surgery to be issued with a new script for the new replacement tablets.
In summary
You can not rely on getting your prescription.
Your prescription may go astray (not their fault, you must have had it)
Your Doctor may not be completely up to date with current brands, dosage or availability of some medications
Having your repeat prescriptions sent electronically does not always mean they will be sent. (Even if the surgery say it was)
I have sat in this surgery and raised these issues before and I am sure that complaining to the NHS in writing will be just as helpful.
So, I will just do this review and hope that anyone else using this surgery is having a better time than I Have.
