One of the finest South Indian restaurants I've tried so far. All of the dishes I've tried were fantastic and it’s really impressive how much flavour can be brought out of vegetables. The staff was very accommodating and offered their recommendations especially Asanka Also the prices were really reasonable. Highly recommend this place for anyone to try out.

Went out for late night dinner since this place is opened until late midnight and would say the food was okay. Their quality of food and quantity used to be great earlier but in comparison they have dropped alot. We ordered daal makhni, delhi walay chanay, schezwan noodles veg, butter naan and kerala paratha along with drinks I would highly recommend do not get their chocolate shake and watermelon juice it is not worth it. The only item good were the noodles and daal makhni.
We were like 5 people that went for dine in at this restaurant and ordered food that was almost burnt and was not freshly made. It was just reheated and tossed at our table. Disappointed and don’t recommend it to anybody.
I tried ordering shrimp noodles as I am a spicy shrimp noodles lover and had tried so many different places to get the taste I want. But trust me, none of the other restaurants offered me the taste I expected. Here in Godavari, the shrimp noodles 🍜 was so good. It was hot, medium spicy and the taste was as expected. If you are a person looking for some good Indian spicy food, then this place is a must try. I enjoyed each and every spoon of the noodles that I was served and I highly recommend it to anyone. I am placing the order for the second time today. Thanks Godavari for the wonderful noodles 🍜
Don't come here for the biryani you had at other US locations.

Godavari in New Jersey, US is known for its large variety of biryanis, so when we found out that they have a location in Toronto we decided to visit. Man were we disappointed 😞. Very limited options in biryanis. The one we ordered tasted more like a pulao than a Vijayawada Biryani. Most folks here we're ordering main course dishes instead. The only highlight of the meal was the veg Chetttinad gravy, it was quite flavorful along with the Kerala paratha.
Go elsewhere for your biryani cravings.

The only highlight of the meal was the veg Chetttinad gravy, it was quite flavorful along with the Kerala paratha.
Go elsewhere for your biryani cravings.
1 star service for 3 star food. It was a shame because I was really excited to eat here. We started with the vege sweet corn soup, chicken hot and sour soup and samosas. 1. The sweet corn soup is actually sour.. it wasn’t bad just falsely named?… samosa’s were okay — not the best I’ve had.
We ordered our mains after we got our soups. However, 5 tables after us received their food before we did even though they ordered between 10-20mins after us. After 40mins of waiting we asked our server what happened to the rest of our food, to which she said she’d check with the kitchen, runs back to us to say the kitchen was backed up (meanwhile, plates and plates of food were being served to those 5 tables after us).. runs to her POS and places in our order. 2 more tables after that arrived..both tables received their food before us and all 7 tables finished eating before or just as we got our food. 4 of the 7 tables left before we even started to eat. Another thing..they brought out one of my bf’s dish before the rest of the side dishes (rice and naan) but he was so hungry from the wait that he actually ate his chili chicken on its own (1 star chili chicken might i add).
Regardless. The naan was good, the rice was good and the butter chicken was good. My issue was more with the clear lie from our server rather than the food wait time. And still i don’t blame her as it seems she was untrained. Please train your staff to deal with customer facing issues as it can drastically improve your service!
