No review of medical history. $50 fee for new patients. Zero depth in medical inquiry, do not recommend.

Generally the doctors here will not review your medical history nor take into account your medical back ground. They seem very restricted in their capacity to help beyond simple GP parameters.

As I am new to the area. I had made sure my medical history was uploaded and was hoping to find at least one doctor here with satisfactory qualifications to issue my usual scripts.

I even booked a preliminary appointment to run over my past operation and a few things just to touch base with their system.

However after seeing 3 seperate doctors here on 3 seperate occasions. None were capable to issue my usual scripts.

It's a bit disconcerting and does make me wonder how qualified the doctors here really are when it comes to genuine health concerns.

It feels very much like the minimum care is their best care here.

How do you reach your Doctor/the practice if they don’t pick up the phone anymore? My Telehealth appt was at 9:30am, had already been bulk billed first thing this morning but still waiting for the call from the Dr after 11am…
How can people get on with their day? This is impossible! Has the appt got forgotten?

I understand that the medical staff are busy, but when you use hotdoc, make a booking and confirm via the link, noting the practice doesn’t accept walk in’s. It is hard to accept a 40-60 wait in the waiting room here. They have never been on time. For all patients over 15 the new billing fee applies. Phone ahead if you make an appt here. If you are a patient and wish to obtain records to move to another practice a $20-$60 fee applies.

I was visiting Sydney for business and needed to see a doctor on a Sunday. I found Botany Medical Centre to be very well presented and the service provided was excellent. Dr Prabhu was professional and very happy to recommend.

Had the misfortune of seeing Dr n Chowdhury today .
from the moment i sat down she was very dismissive and condescending.showed on interest in my medical problem.
was not eager to answer any questions ,made me feel very unwelcome,needs retraining on her bed side manner.will not be going to her again or will my 3 kids.Botany medical center please hire better people for the community .in my 25 years coming there i have never had such a rude and uncaring Physician.

The receptionists are absolutely awful people with zero social or communication skills. I wont even mention empathy as they wouldn't know the meaning of the word.

One of the doctors tried to overcharge me for a long appointment and all the staff got very rude and hostile when I tried to have this explained to me.

Official complaint has been lodged and based on the reviews it seems like this isn't a one off situation.

Cant wait until this medical practice and its staff get investigated.
