Wow! We almost didn't visit here, but it is an absolute must for any visitor to Leipzig! The monument is incredible both in scale and design! It's a little outside of the main city, but there are easy tram and bus connections. It costs €10 to enter and is well worth it. You can climb right to the very top - there are several lifts, but the final ascent is via fairly narrow one-way steps. The view at the top is worth the climb and offers great views over the city. You should allow yourself at least an hour to fully enjoy it. I cannot recommend visiting this beautiful monument enough.

Incredibly huge monument, entry is quite expensive (10€) but I didn't care. Monument is beautiful and views from the top are incredible.
Inside the monument, there's a lot of expositions

Incredible structure, well worth the visit. I especially love the small lake in front of the Denkmal, a beautiful addition. The views from the top are breathtaking.

Very interesting place, worth a trip if you’re in and around Leipzig. Easily reached from the city centre on the #15 tram. The actual monument is €10 to get in to, but you can have a good look around without paying. There is also a cafe and toilets (€1) at the far end of the lake, which are OK.

What an experience, don't pass this one by. I recommend spending some time here and going up the 500 steps to the top. Top tip, you must not be afraid of spiral stare cases or tight spaces. This is not for everyone, but for the ones that do take on the adventure, it is amazing. There is an elevator to get part the way up, highly recommend at minimum doing this.

There’s quite a lot you can see here for no cost, and no ticket. We got the 15 tram from the city centre (ok so that was not free). It’s nice to get off a stop earlier and walk about 8 mins through the park. You can see the monument in the distance, it’s a good experience to walk towards it this way. When you get there you can go right up close to it, climb up a bunch of stairs that go halfway to the top, and also walk around the whole structure.

In spring and summer the linden blossom aroma is pleasant and strong. It’s worth taking the time to come here - German victories are quite rare after all 🙂
