Good affordable lunch in DC. Food could have been warmer and it was hard to hear when your order was called. I'd go back.
Miss DT from pre-pandemic times. The portions got smaller, the salsa bar is gone, and the soda machine is now from Atlanta's Big Red brand and not the punch of deliciousness it once was. To add to the list of bummers: Bacon taco comes with one and tiny piece of bacon. Sounds interesting but leaves one hungry. Chicken and fish are the best.
Clean. Service was mainly no contact and fast. I got three tacos and chips and salsa - carne asada, chicken, and fish. Loved the fish, wasn't a fan of the carne asada seasoning, and the chicken was okay. Chips were fresh but I wasn't a fan of the salsa flavor. I would go back for the fish Taco.
Pork was decent, definitely not traditional street tacos but better than taco bell. Very fast service but the tacos were stuck to the paper they were wrapped in and had to be torn off. The price listed online for their 3 tacos is 8$, but the prices are all higher in store and 3 taco meal was 12.75 after tax. Nice area for seating, kept clean.
The owner is super friendly. Food was delivered quickly. Ordered chocolate donuts, Mediterranean breakfast, and American breakfast. Price was very good. Would definitely order again.

This sandwich shop also offers salads and soups, as well as a few other side items - even shakes. One orders up front, chooses your bread and sandwich style, and your choice is loaded onto the toaster. Here you may also grab your beverage of choice from the cooler before moving on to the chip selection (mainly kettle style) and the toppings area. From here you advance to the pay counter where you can also pick up a dessert and or a cup for your soda fountain. The atmosphere is nice but busy. There is generally seating inside but you are like 200 yards from the mall or wharf, and the food carries well - just sayin. The bathrooms were clean for my visit. The service was fast food friendly - overall a good choice for a quick bite.
I glimpsed at their seasonal menu and noticed the roast beef Swiss melt, featuring juicy slices of medium roast beef, a smattering of onion jam, and packed with just the right amount of arugula. The arugula was very fresh and flavorful, and the toasted ciabatta was perfect. If I had any criticism at all I would say it was a little too light on the jam and a little too heavy on the aioli, as it dripped a lot on me. It's more of a carry out place, but they do have a couple tables in the corners by the window. Overall a nice little stop for visitors and locals in downtown DC who want a quick, tasty bite to eat for breakfast or lunch.
I was a taco on Taco Tuesday Halloween and they didn’t want to give me a free taco. They told me sorry we don’t have any promotions like that which I respect but I was kind of hurt still. I would give 5 stars but they wasted the perfect opportunity to give someone a free taco. The fish tacos with chipotle mayo and pico de gallo are always 🔥

This place is dirty, they have mice roaming in the back kitchens and constantly have bugs/roaches out in the dining room. They were also very rude about it when bringing it, take your money elsewhere with better customer service and no sanitation concerns.
The best dining experience I’ve ever had til date. Granted, I don’t usually seek out more expensive restaurants but we were celebrating our engagement and we decided to splurge. We’re both vegetarians. Although it would’ve been nice to have vegetarian friendly entree options, the mezzes were more than enough and super tasty. My favorite was the summer squash dish. I really enjoyed the cocktails, the wine pairing and the desserts too!
My sandwich tasted good. The line gets rather long during lunch, but the employees keep it moving at a good pace. The employees were also courteous.
Great sandwich and actually made a 2nd trip for another sandwich. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful by advising what is best on menu. Place is clean and service is quick and efficient. Going to stop in again for another visit

My husband and I stopped by for a quick bite. We both agreed that the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was probably the best we have ever had. We ate it immediately when we got it. The cheese was gooey and melted. The bacon was crisp. The eggs were fully cooked. The croissant was lightly buttered, flaky, and delicious. The sandwich was so good, I didn't even consider putting ketchup on it, like I normally would. Highly recommend a fresh bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant from City Place Cafe!! 10/10! The staff were polite as well. Prices very reasonable too!

The GreenBee Café is my favorite cafe in Washington to enjoy local seasonal cooking. Their dishes are a burst of flavor with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. I love their classic cobb salad and blackened catfish sandwich– fresh, and satisfying. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it a perfect spot for a lunch date or solo meal. They cater well to my dietary needs, which is a big plus for me. You can enjoy their all-day breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, and pasta. Evergreen Eats Cafe proves that healthy eating can be a delight for the taste buds. It's my go-to place for guilt-free indulgence.
Hopped in for a quick lamb pita while apartment hunting and was not disappointed. Lamb was tender and very flavorful and I loved the tahini sauce on the lavash. I will be coming here again!
Visiting DC for a few days and having been disappointed by the hotel breakfast, we decided to head somewhere else. Found this place on Google and was heavily impressed! Low prices for the area, lots of choice, and very good food. Quick friendly service :)
The night started off a little rough, the hostess was a bit rude when we let her know we changed our reservation to be indoors, but other than that the food was amazing. I had the Truffle Ricotta Cappalletti, and we also had the Squid Ink Pasta, and the Fried Artichoke appetizer that we are still thinking about.

We loved our meal at this classy and beautiful restaurant. The sauces that came with the meat were superb. Our favorites on the mixed grill were the beef and the chicken. I tried the Lebanese panna cotta dessert which was delicious. The pita bread with the hummus was soft and airy, so amazing! There was nothing to absorb the sound so it did end up being pretty loud in the restaurant. The service was very attentive. Highly recommended!
The most beautiful thing about this restaurant is its decor! The whole restaurant has these bird cages above head and are so tranquil. It's really lit during the day and is really nice. The chairs which I captured in images are also really cool each ones design on the back looks handmade. Adding a quite beautiful look to the whole place. The servers are quite attentive and it's really nice! The food was decent 👌 we didn't try the mains but apps were good.

Great food and friendly staff. Had a lunch with falafel, and chicken gyro, and both were excellent. The $38 price point for two entrees and four beverages was a great deal. High value and good food in a friendly and low-key space makes it a worthwhile stop.
French bread is not as original as the real French bread that you eat in France. Good bakery, but not great.
Ended up sitting at the bar for a cocktail and instead of moving to a table we sat at the bar for our full meal.

Got the hummus with added jalapeños, fresh baked pita, Grandma Marie’s Lebanese Toast, Shakshuka, Rosti, Sfeeha Danish, & Swiss Chard Benedict. Amazing food, boho atmosphere and service! Great brunch vibes. At one point, there were 6 staff members at our table serving dishes, removing plates, filling water, and cleaning the table mid meal. 5 stars!

Great food! Went there on a Friday morning. Too bad they were closed on Saturday, or we would have gone again. I loved the oatmeal.
My first impression of this Potbelly was shaped upon my arrival, hours before closing time, at 1pm, when I encountered a locked-down-tight exterior entrance door which had a sticker on it stating “PULL A LITTLE HARDER.” (see photos). That this door, with this sticker, was locked, struck me as a cruel inside joke played by someone with bad intentions. As I sat inside and ate my lunch, I watched several would-be customers, large groups of them even, attempt to enter this door, and then give up, apparently concluding this Potbelly was already closed for the day.
I would be shocked if this locked door isn’t a blatant fire code violation. I ended up entering though the exit doors. A surprise inspection by management, or, if needed, DCFD, would solve this problem in short order.
The sandwich I ordered was at par with a typical Potbelly sandwich. The person making the sandwich was friendly enough and made a decent sandwich that I did enjoy.
The selection of chips was plentiful. The drinks in the cooler were cold. One of the two restrooms had no soap.

Really great food with talented staff. Plate presentation was nice and the atmosphere was also lively. My mother would not approve of the pricing as she would insist that she could make it better at home for a 10th the cost, but that said though the food was very close to authentic with limited exception.
Check your receipt. I bought a big sandwich and was charged for 2 regular sandwiches. So I was ripped off for the $4-5 price difference. I was too tired to go back and argue it. Not sure why the lady did that. She asked me what sandwich I had right as she was ringing me up. The sandwich was tasty and the guy who made my sandwich was courteous...just a weird rip off. Like was she fixin to take a sandwich home? Was it an honest mistake? idk. Just check your receipt right away!
EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Great tabouli, very fresh and high quality olive oil. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and even had a wonderful texture. The baklava was crispy and not overly sweet. This would def be a go to place to eat if I lived here.
After walking 1/2 mile to get something to eat employees informed my group of 7 that they had closed early really disappointed and still hungry sorry I didn't read the reviews until after to anyone reading this please check out the other reviews perhaps owners or management will actually listen to customers in response to your response I'll not be back
The food was delicious! One of the best meals I have had in a long while. The service was attentive and appropriate. The cocktail was lovely. Great outdoor seating overlooking the river. It was recommended to me and I highly recommend it as well.
So many ppl say how good this place is and it’s true. Alfonso took such good care of us at the bar, we had the perfect Friday lunches w libations time. We had the chix parm over spinach, excellent and the muffuletta, that was monstrous! When I think about layering it down thick, this is what I think. Not some chintzy ultra thin see-through cold cut Italian from Pot Belly’s, ack. Osteria Morinis’ is a class act, through in and out. For dessert, we had the Espresso martini, made w real espresso. Delish! I think we just found our Fridays staple.
5 stars for a sandwich shop. Outdoor seating. Indoors is clean too. Warm sandwiches were excellent. Fresh bread. They don’t ask for a tip on the checkout machine.
Fast service. Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Right next to the FBI building and enough parking. The meter take bout coins and card. There is also a garage near by if you’re driving. A lot of great options to chose from.
pasta was amazing! the sauces were so simple and such good quality. my only dislikes were the fact that the tagliatelle pasta was a little bit over cooked and the mortadella was very expensive for the amount you get (although delicious and imported)

I visited Morini on a midweek lunch date and it was an outstanding experience. Our server, Edwin, was excellent and made it very clear that he takes pride in his work, as did the rest of the staff. Under Edwin’s guidance, we had two glasses of perfectly paired wines. When we requested an off-menu cocktail, the bartender was kind enough to oblige, and delivered a very tasty drink. Our meal consisted of the meatballs, marbled potatoes, duck ragu pasta, and squid ink pasta. It was quite evident that everything, including the ricotta and pasta, was made fresh, in house. To top things off, dining beside the marina on a summer’s day created the perfect atmosphere. Not to be missed, are the bombolini! I was tempted to order a second serving to be perfectly honest. I look forward to coming back to try the branzino before the summer is through!
This is a reliable place for good hearty food. Prices seem to have increased quite a bit over the years, but the food is consistently good. I miss the old days when they had a self-serve salsa bar. My personal favorites are the burrito mojado and the breakfast tacos. I ordered online for pickup today and my food was ready and waiting right on time. As long as you don't go in expecting a Michelin-starred experience you are unlikely to be disappointed.

Best quick breakfast in the area. This is more of a grab and go place with some seating. The manager greats regulars and remembers their usual orders. High top counter inside to eat at or patio furniture outside on the sidewalk.
The manager for today 6-14-23 was really disrespectful and rude to the lady worker and customer and shouldn’t work with people.The sandwich was wrong I got back it had no meat I ordered a tuna sandwich smh sad place don’t go there.

Awesome place to get shawarma, hummus, and fresh pita. Salim, the owner, was super nice and welcoming and the staff overall were just wonderful. Prices are reasonable for the delicious food you get and portion sizes are large (see pics!). Highly recommend this place if in Cleveland Park!
I used to clean this place in the evenings and I can tell you this place is roach and mice infested. The rodents run through the stove and on top of the counter tops. The leave food boiling overnight not topped up. They don’t clean throughout the day i would really be scrubbing 3 day old grease. Not to mention they only had us coming in there 3 days a week. The place looks atrocious when I got there on the 3 evenings I cleaned I can only imagine what it looked like the rest of the week. Also don’t order anything with onions from this place. They are usually stored uncovers underneath a sink. I would recommend the whole nation to stay far away from this place.

Really enjoyed it here. Went on a Thursday after work and had an excellent cheese board. Good size portions of cheese for 2-3 people. Also loved the spaghetti + stracciatella. Great open atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Dessert was very tasty as well. Will definitely be back
Get off the beaten path and away from the food trucks. A solid place for coffee ( varieties) and a danish or a breakfast goodie. Break the Starbuck's habit. It's just diabetes in a cup. And it's across from the FBI building. ( A lot happening there.)
This was my first visit to any Au Bon Pain. You can order a made-to-order item at the counter, but I elected to self-serve with a bagel. It was very easy/quick, restaurant was clean, and employees friendly. If I'm in the area again, I would pop in for breakfast again!
Teri was a pleasure to work with for my catering order! Placing the order on the phone and e-mail was quick and easy. The delivery was on-time. The food was delicious and packed well. The box lunches are great for catering.

My wife and I finally got a babysitter to watch our son and decided to go out for a nice date night. We love Italian food and wanted to try something new. I read great reviews online about Morini and wanted to try it for ourselves. I was able to quickly make reservations from their website the same day. The location is nice right off the water with a great view. The lighting and ambiance of the restaurant was romantic for our date night. The staff sat us at our table quickly and the waiter was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. The food and drinks were very good and full of flavor. I highly recommend the tagliatelle and cappelletti pastas. My wife and I both enjoyed our meal and drinks. Highly recommend this restaurant and will return for another date night.
This place was very good. The line was long and it was packed, but don't let that dissuade you as the line moves fast. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes. I had the new Yorker and it was delicious!
Tacos were so good, First time eating in DC and I gotta say this taco place is awesome, good food and the employees were very nice. I had chicken tacos and my daughter had a chicken quesadilla in which she ate it all and normally she dont so she loved it too. If you’re in DC check them out

Very Reliable! I've used this location for catering at work and they have been spot on! Food delivered on time and fresh. Friendly customer service over the phone when placing an order and upon delivery. They're in multiple cities, so if I need another location in a different city, I'm definitely calling Au Bon Pain! Thanks!
I come to this place for lunch as its adjacent to clevland park library. Today i tried one of the egyptian meal named ‘kushari’ and i loved it. Its really affordable and welcoming.

We came to DC from NJ and we had breakfast here all 4 days! The owner and staff are wonderful and the food is great. My son was dying for a bagel and I told him there is nothing like NY bagels but low and behold these bagels came from the Bronx and they are amazing! Thanks for yummy breakfasts!

I ordered an Avo Turkey, the avocado was bad. I don't know why they used the old avocado that tastes awful. 😕 I did not expect it. Specially when the avocados color clearly shows it is bad.

Disappointment: I realize once I left which I live in Baltimore that they did not put my churros x3 in the bag and there was no way I was driving back to DC to get them, super disappointing.
Overall I would visit again, I would not order the fish tacos. I would try something different the salsa and guacamole was amazing. service was subpar, Restaurant was Decor was ok. No one cleaned the tables in between Guest but I walk with my own alcohol so I cleaned my own table.
Wonderful food and great staff. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because the inside of the restaurant has turned into a storage unit for them. It is no longer pleasant to eat there. We used to go all of the time, but no longer come here because of how bad the interior is.
The only place open for a sandwich in the evening. Very friendly staff. Also, I like their bulletin board where folks can post notices.
So, this is exactly what we needed ! After traveling 5+ hours we needed to eat somthing “safe” so we called in some sandwiches ! One of the best choices we made ! The Italian and A wreak delicious delicious delicious. The delivery was so easy, placed it online and it was very fast…. Amazing thank you so much. Pretty fresh meats and bread. No complaints. Will highly recommend!
We tried a bunch of things and everything was extremely delicious! The lentil soup is phenomenal and the falafel might have been the best I’ve had.
My work is nearby so I come here very often. The staff is so considerate and kind and prepare everything in less than 5 minutes. Always finding a way to make someone laugh or smile after a bad day. Food is absolutely amazing and the price is so good. Coming here as much as I do is not good for my bank account 😩!
2020: Great spot to grab some fresh and flavorful food! Probably the BEST sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. They have a gluten free rice wrap, which may not work as a sandwich (but that’s how GF works), but it’s a nice addition! Maybe order the catfish as a salad with the GF wrap on the side.

Nice sandwiches and soup!! The tomato soup was very delicious.
They move u through the line quickly. Food is delicious. Tried the sandwich called "The Good Egg" and its delicious. You do need to be careful of how you eat it because it can slip out of the bread. They dont have a big variety on hot teas though.
Probably the best breakfast sandwich that I've had. Very reasonable price too! The bagel was excellent. Great flavor and perfectly toasted. Eggs was wonderfully cooked. Cheese and sausage were great and a nice helping of fruit on the side. A lot of space inside to sit and eat. Has a nice modern/ industrial feel with exposed ductwork and some other features. Extremely friendly staff. Very happy I decided to pop in here instead of Starbucks. I will be back when in the area.
Subway is Subway, but pretty much only game in town at NRL.
So sad, it happened a couple of times to me! I used their mobile app to place the order. When I got there, standing for 20 minutes around “Mobile pick up” area, no one came to help. What even worse, they hadn’t make the food, so totally 40 minutes after I placed the order, they gave it to me without any words. Like you deserve to wait for that much time. I have been coming to this stores for years, but would never use their mobile order.
This store is on the grounds of my work place. The service is always pleasant and quick.
Knew I loved this place from the moment I told the cashier my meal was ‘for here’ and she said ‘ok, I’ll bring it to you with silverware, don’t get the plastic’ - I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that as we all need to be a more cognizant of our waste (especially plastic) usage. Cloth napkins were a nice touch as well.

I had the Egg 🍳 and Smoked Gouda, add avocado, side of Fruit. What I really wanted was the fried chicken 🍗 biscuit, add egg with home fries 🍟 ....but that will have to wait for another time.
The sandwich was delicious 👅 . The Gouda 🧀 was super tasty and the avocado 🥑 set this baby off!

A lot of different breads to choose from to prepare your sandwich, bagel or croissant. Different coffee flavors, fruits, bakery and soups. Prices are very accesible and it’s very centric, it’s near the museums.
Visited this place sometime last week of December, between 9am and 10am. The place have ample space, tables, and stand-in area.
Customer Service: The staff looks friendly, and they are nice, nothing wrong with the team
Food: We ordered their soup and half-sandwich menu item. We like the sandwich and soup. We have tried Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Florentine and Chicken Vegetable Soup. All 3 were superb, very hearty, tasty and delicious. The same goes for the sandwich, the bread tastes great and fresh. They also offer coffee which is freshly made.
Place: Ample space for ~20 people . Several tables are spread around the area, not too noisy, and clean. It is also bright, have enough natural light, and looks nice.
They are in great location, I like it, very easy to visit by foot or other means.
Price: For the serving size and for the taste compared to other food shops in the area, it's reasonable and affordable. I understand that it's DC but I paid about ~$8 for each soup and it's a fair price. Planning to go back again to this shop!

Yo their NEW spicy bbq pulled pork sandwich was so DELICIOUS. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. No joke.
I came here after an afternoon in dc. I was walking around browsing for restaurants to eat at and their shop caught my attention. It was their poster promoting their new bbq pulled pork sandwich to be exact. So I decided to give it a go.
Their workers are very nice. I told the lady making my sandwich of my dairy allergy and so she switched her gloves and made sure there was no dairy in my sandwich. Other than the default of pulled pork, bbq sauce, and spicy jalapeño crisps, I added lettuce and pickles. The crisps were like mini French fries or chips. It was a nice touch.
I ordered a big and my sandwich was so good. I wish they had bigger sizes. The sub was a nice blend of sweet and spicy taste with the juiciness of the pork. The crisps added that extra crunch which I really like.
TIL that this sub, Spicy BBG Pulled Pork and the Classic version are available for a limited time only. So, I highly recommend grabbing this scrumptious sandwich while you still can. I'm sure you won't regret it.

Consistent, affordable and reliable....
Great sweet spot to seat in or outside. The venue was well lit and I love the trendy branded color. A very nice setup of both seating areas. The attendant was nice and provided timely service. The danish and chocolate chip cookie were fresh, soft, and tasty.
Can't complain, sandwich was very good, service as well. Also it is open on Sunday morning which is a good thing.
Kinda meh food but good in a pinch if you forget your lunch. It's standard subway quality, so about what most would expect.
It's hard to get to (you need a badge to get near it). Also, it runs out many popular items like meatballs or spinach by 1pm. Also, they never have the toys, but they advertise them in the window regardless.
