Phone lines are always closed when trying to call even during opening hours . Classic Czech mentality.
Rude receptionist. Declined to speak English while I have chosen to communicate in EN. Declined to route me to a corresponding department. Declined to understand why I was calling the embassy. All of this while I was having an emergency as a Czech citizen abroad. Horrific behaviour that can cost death. This is an embarrassment to the title CONSULATE. Waste of taxpayers money. Smells of old sickness. Please clean up your embassy.
My daughter applied for a visa, in between we need to travel to Istanbul. They allowed my daughter to hold process and continue after returning back to London. Absolutely outstanding and extremely helpful and very understanding. Gregory (Receptionist/ Security) is a gentleman and very kind, the lady (sorry didn’t ask her name) who brought down the passport was very kind and the second (Receptionist/Security) as well. I can’t thank you enough for your help, bless all of you. You are all Rock…..👍👍👍
Zelmira is a star! So kind, helpful and efficient in processing our citizenship and passport applications. However, this is a long process and may take many months, but she was up front about this and at least we have a timescale! A big thank you also to her former colleague Christine Bonnet who helped us previously. Christine was so friendly and also most efficient and wonderful at answering queries and ensuring that we had all the paperwork we needed for our appointments. Thank you to both Zelmira and Christine 🙏

I was stuck in transit during my flight to the uk from Qatar and I wasn’t sure what to do as the British embassy , and the Saudi embassy was keep on ignoring my calls as I needed some assistance. I travelled through the Saudi Arabia and the uae, so I thought that it’s best I call their uk embassy during out of hours. The phone kept ringing and no one answered it , so I thought let me try my luck on the qatari embassy in the uk, even thought I was mentally prepared for no one to answer as it was late at night. To my surprise they answered immediately at 3am, and the staff from the Qatari embassy was so helpful as I had several issues. I was surprised because they was so nice and even gave me a call 2 days later to see if I’ve arrived home safely. I forgot to take down the name of the amazing staff member from the embassy , so I’ve decided to share my experience on here !, thanks once again
Probably the easiest passport renewal I've ever experienced. I came early at 8.30am and the doors were already opened. The 2 people before me didn't show up so I was first in line and was called to to be processed even before the official 9am time. I then came back at 2.30pm for the 3pm pickup time and was able to collect my passport before the official time as well leaving me more time to explore the city. Even had a pleasant chat in Malay with the guy at the counter too.
Absolutely fantastic service and staff. I've been applying for Schengen visa for over 15 years, my experience with Czech Embassy in London has been the best so far.

They are very quick and responsive. They welcome you and try to help you at the embassy, best possible way they can.

They were aware of my case and limited time I had, so they did their best to get me my visa in time.

Truly grateful forever. Best visa and consular service ever!

Very efficient and professional service from Zelmira. My daughter and I had an appointment with the MHC to present all our documentation for our application for Maltese citizenship via my mothers bloodline who was a Maltese citizen by birth. Zelmira was so helpful and patient as I handed over the many certificates (English and Maltese) for her to check, after all was completed she wished us well and looked forward to meeting us when/if our request was approved. Thank Zelmira and all at MHC, you are a credit to Malta and an example of Maltese culture of friendship.

The best embassy I have ever been!
If you are Taiwanese visiting Serbia, please come here and make an appointment.
The staff here are so friendly and helpful. I just submitted my prepared documents and then I got my visa in two hours.
Courteous and professional staff. I went there to renew my passport, and the overall process was systematic which was as explained on their website. The queue moves fast, I was in and out in 30 mins (~9:30-10am) with around 10 applicants ahead of me for the first part of the passport renewal process.
I was told to return at 3pm to collect my new passport.
However, I have deducted a star because the process to collect your passport is disorganised since you don't get called in the order you arrived in, which means it's a "free-for-all", but the crowd was small on the day I was there so people tend to follow their turn, although it's just as easy to act selfishly I would expect. I'm unsure if this was because the queueing system was turned off on purpose during the collection process. No complaints apart from this, because it's a relatively smooth process.
Oh, and they only take cash, no card transactions. Having exact change is your safest option for a speedy application. Go to their website and read to make sure you have all the relevant documents in hand.
Feel like stepping back home with the great hospitals culture! Thanks to all the officers there today in helping not just us but many other older citizens of Malaysia in solving their consular problems.

I gave the High Commission a 1 star review previously due to the frustration of trying to get any answers. However, once I got the contact details of the correct person she could not have been more helpful and went out of her way to assist. Many thanks to the passport officer for your help.

Update: Jul 2023.

Walked into Rabat, Gozo passport service without an appointment. Walked in with my expired passport, Maltese ID card and walked out ten minutes later with a smile on my face and told to come back Tuesday for my passport.

In London I had an appointment months later and was told to get numerous documents prepared for then.

London Malta House seems to be ridiculously bureaucratic and inefficient. Very poor explanation of why certain documents are required which simply was not required when I came back to Malta. Bla sens.

Don’t bother. Just renew next time you’re in Malta.

thank you embassy staff I tried to call qatar Airways regarding to travelling to Brazil and I called Qatar airways various times and They didn't answer , however when I called the embassy once you gave me the answer directly. they should learn from you and how amazing you’re staff is, thank you again.
We came to register our infant's birth with the Consular service (not open on Monday) and then apply for a passport with the Immigration service, both done in one day. As other reviews may have already mentioned, the office at the lower ground level is open for taking numbers around 8.30am.

We took 2 numbers at the same time, one for Consular (Birth cert) and one for Immigration (passport). Even if it's already your turn to apply for the passport, while you still need to wait for your turn to apply for the birth cert, they will still attend to you regardless of the number queue, so don't worry about having to get another number and queue again.

The birth cert requires 2 sets of document photocopies, while the passport only requires 1 set. Fill in the copy of Borang D first, and the counter will double check the details for you before asking you to fill in the actual Borang D. If you do not have photos ready, they will take photos for you, all for £10 (they gave us 4 printed photos).

*Parents: You'll need to get thumb prints from your child, just try your best, the staff won't be too strict. Plus, the staff will pass you a tailor's measuring tape to measure your baby's height.

Try to get the exact amount of cash (no cards accepted!), although the counter was flexible enough to give me a £5 change.

Also, although the counter staff mentions you can only collect your passport from 3pm onwards, you can try your luck going in early. I was No.15 in the queue, but went in at 2.15pm, and the passport was ready for collection.

Overall good experience, efficient staff and quick process.
I have never been to Prague or the Czech Republic, and would like to check your records under the Freedom Of Information Act ! As I have only ever had acces to a UK passport.
I have been here several times. The staff at the counter are courteous and helpful. However, it would be significantly better if there were more staff at the counters to service the 100s of people who have to wait with children and the elderly without adequate seats.
Extremely bureaucratic establishment! Non existent phone/online service. Not to mention their limited office hours. Simple issues taking ages to resolve.
Went to renew my passport. I study in Germany but am allowed to renew passport at this high commission. Passport was issued on the same day at 3pm. Faizal Mustaffa was the administrative representative in charge and was a very friendly and funny character. He even told my friend that his head was wonky while taking his passport picture. Definitely recommend going to him if you feel in need for a roast. But in all seriousness, such a hassle free experience, would definitely recommend anyone who needs their passport done within an day from nearby countries to come here.
Came here all the way from Germany to renew my passport and received it on the same day. It takes 3 months if done in Germany. Faizal Mustaffa was the officer in charge of handling my documents. It was a very pleasant experience, and managed to get a good laugh out of it as well, as I got called wonky for everyone to hear.

Contrary to other government offices in Malaysia, the officers here were pleasant and easy to work with. Would 10/10 recommend coming here to renew your passport. Thank you Faizal Mustaffa for giving me a story to tell for generations to come.

PS. None of it was intended as an offence, and I genuinely enjoyed the service provided here. Would most definitely come here again in the future to renew my passport if Malaysia isn't an option.
Awful customer service, can reach no one by phone and are very inflexible. Still do passports in person despite the pandemic and don't reimburse you for the hundreds of pounds spent on train tickets. Do better.
Very helpful, engaging people who helped me to secure my visa. Thank you so much for your help. The university was very slow, but the attestation department made up for that. Thank you again. Now looking forward to my second Saudi adventure!!

Don’t bother calling this embassy I have never ever come across staff that are so rude!! I live in the U.K. and all I wanted to ask is how I can apply for the tourist visa to doha as I wanted to take my family for holiday only my wife and child are British. As all there websites are just as useless as the staff at this embassy! He literally acted like his better then a normal human being mate your going to the same hole like everyone else! Did not help at all just kept talking to other staff ignored me and literally said OH WE ARE CLOSED I DONT KNOW NOTHING! i guess I called the chicken shop down the road as clearly if your closed you don’t answer calls. STICK TO GOING TO DUBAI EASY TO DEAL WITH PROCESS IS THROUGH EMIRATES AND MUCH MUCH CLEARER AND HELPFUL!! QATAR FIX UP IF YOU WANT TOURISTS MAKE YOUR WORKERS KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM. Disgrace. Also fix your websites no clear indications of anything and half of them don’t even work.

Unbelievably unprofessional and slovenly. Some guy answers the phone like you've called someone's house. You'd have no idea it's supposed to be an embassy for a respectable country
People not been trained properly have no dignity at all!!
Just 2 days visa, I had a lot of Schengen and 4 times I visited Budapest before, live in UK and have my own business, they just granted 2 days visa, it is unbelievable, I have never faced such a situation in my life. I spent a lot of money for visa but just 2 days, also they work with VFS, they sent my visa 2 weeks ago to VFS office but VFS has no information that my passport was sent to them. I spent nearly £300 for 2 days visa mockingly.
Have been trying to contact for last two days regarding my e visa, no answer . They charge me for visa but rejected without any reason. I managed to chat online they advised me to contact with embassy but I can’t reach them. Almost all day I tried. If you don’t answer the call they disconnect the phone.
WHAT A JOKE!
Not answering emails, website really hard to navigate and has ZERO information, impossible to talk anyone on the phone and if you do get a chance to speak to the reception by pressing random numbers in the phone menu, you will be given zero information or phone numbers with German speaking automatic machine or phone numbers that don't exist.

Went to register to vote in the CZ presidential elections in the UK because I am unable to fly to Czechia to vote. It took about 20 different papers I had to fill by hand to get registered. I've been then told I have to use Royal Mail to get my voting ID because they don't know when I would be able to pick it up in person.
Went for the Royal Mail option and obviously they sent my voting ID to my Czech address in Prague.
Am I able to ring them about this to get my voting ID so that I am able to vote? NOPE.
Absolutely excellent service from the beginning till end. Staff absolutely brilliant I couldn’t find parking 🅿️ in the area the guy who was on reception was really nice and explained me where is possible to stay. I was taken on time as appointment has been booked. The lady who was dealing with my request of passport was so friendly and professional with anything I asked. everything takes only 15min and I was out. Really good experience with service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff, non-Qataris but acting as if they own the place - starting with security at the door who have zero manners and forget it’s locals entering their own embassy whilst talking through a glass panel at the door and then once inside, the actual staff, clueless and just as arrogant. The Embassy is amazing. Wish they hired better quality staff.
Disgusting service. I called to inquire about the Hayya card and the person who answered did not have adequate skills of the language to explain to me about anything. Also while he was talking to me, another person in the background said something and he hung up on me. Very unprofessional and does not represent the country in a positive of in a friendly manner

Seems like the staff in the office for Legalisation Section has a huge problem when it comes to answering their calls. They keep avoiding the calls by requesting us to call again in the next hours and even when we did, they gave the same excuse until the office finally closed. And it’s the same thing even for the next days. This is so frustrating! I had to reach out to MOI in Qatar myself to get some help! The receptionist staff (the guy with thick English accent) is the only one that has been so helpful and patient with the calls but must be frustrating when the staff in the office were the ones trying to avoid the calls.
Start from August onwards, they get back to normal operation hour. Walk in for immigration service and consular service are acceptable during submission hour.
I renewed my passport last week and was arrived 8:20 a.m. At 8:30 a.m. the officer had opened the door and let us took the number and seating inside the office. At 9 a.m. they started to call the number one by one, collect documents, scan thumbprints, take photo. It’s my turn at 9:30 a.m. 5 mins of deal with documentation and took photo. After that, they ask me come back to pick up and 3 p.m.
At 3 p.m., everyone queue up and pick up the new passport one by one then it’s done. Smooth service for passport renewal.

Was good until we arrive there late, we understand that you wrote " If you're late, your time slot MAY be cancelled!" But that is wrong, you should write "If you are late, your appointment WILL be cancelled" so maybe people don't try to reach you from the other side of London with an infant after being stuck for 30 minutes in traffic, if you are that strict.

Dont let people to be frauded by VFS for schengen visa applications. Why dont you handle your applications by yourself? They charge 124£ for a simple schengen visa application, are you aware of it?!!!
Went to get VISA for my boyfriend, everybody was sooo lovely. First time at any embassy and I had this idealistic image in my head, that embassy is here to help people, which was confirmed after this visit. Thank you so much for your help♥️ such welcoming and warm staff♥️

The lady working there is very rude and arrogant and for no good reason since she's not really good at her job and the gentleman is friendly but useless. After 7 phone calls and one visit they forgot to tell me some crucial information that I specifically asked about ,actually they told me wrong so I came from Dublin to London for nothing ,wasted a lot of time and money and on top of that the lady working there ,whatever her name is, made me feel like it's my fault and I'm pressuring her to "break the law" even tho I specifically asked about my situation (my serbian passport has expired and I'm applying for a travel permit for my newborn daughter that has no passport) was told to bring my expired passport and some valid proof of serbian citizenship, which I brought 3 only to be told they can't do it cause my passports expired but i can apply for the passport. Multiple phone calls asking the same question and these professionals tell me the wrong Information. The gentleman was atleast nice enough to apologise while the lady was rude to the end .
Been 3 hours and no one in the whole department asnwered their phones.

Edit: spent five days calling from the moment they open till they close which makes it 6 or 7 hours and still no answer. Good job in helping the students.

Unlike in Hungary, at this embassy the staff is actually helpful, kind and I had a sense that it is actually there to help it's citizens. Government offices and officials in Hungary should take some notes.

I can only agree with recent comments, the staff goes above and beyond to help, I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I had a very good experience at the embassy. I had a lot of paperwork to sort out, therefore had a long appointment. I was worried if I had all papers and if I completed them well. The lady was very professional. She helped me to fill out everything. Printed me new papers if I completed anything wrongly. Explained everything in detail. I appreciate the service as I had to travel from Wales and it wouldn't have been easy to travel again if anything was wrong with my papers or appointment. Well done for having well trained, kind people working for out London embassy.

What a delightful Embassy to visit.

The Embassy itself is situated on the ground floor of a shared building. After being buzzed in I was introduced to the acting commissioner, he kindly advised me on my issue and what I need to do.

Myself, the commissioner and the secretary had a lovely chat on all things Seychelles and as always it's a pleasure to speak to fellow Seychellois.
Contrary to all the negative reviews on here, my expectations were far exceeded tonight at the embassy. As soon as I arrived, they called me in and I did not have to wait a minute. Szilvia, who was dealing with the replacement of my passport and my national was kind and polite, she explained everything to me and answered all my questions in detail. The whole process was really streamlined, I was in and out in 15 minutes and that included all the paperwork, all the signatures, photos, fingerprints, payment and everything else. Thank you once again!

I haven't had much experience with anyone other in this embassy, other than Natasa from the consular services. I heard really nice things about her, but even then I was not prepared for her level of kindness. helpfulness and humour! I am absolutely blown away by how much she's willing to help at any point in the day, find out everything you need and provide it. Thanks for all your help and work, Natasa!

I've had an amazing experience in Serbian Embassy. All of the staff that work in Serbian Consular are professional, polite and helpful. Nataša is fabulous and friendly, and as soon as I met her, she put me at ease. She dealt with my issue in a professional manner, and I couldn't be more grateful.

Realmente excelente atención y un alto grado de servicio, tuve que acudir por la pérdida de un pasaporte y fue sentirme como en casa, personal amable, entregado al servicio que brindan, colaboraron en todo y cuando apareció el pasaporte hasta ayudaron a enviarlo de regreso a CR ya que ahí estaba la visa estadounidense.

5 stars to Lady Natasha from Consular Services. She is professional, polite, friendly and very prompt when replying to emails. My case went smoothly, from getting initial information to picking up final documents.
I was a bit nervous before going to ask for my son's passport but ended up having a really good experience in the embassy. Hungarian is not my first language so I needed some help with filling the forms and understanding some procedures and Judit, the the lady who helped me was wonderful, very patient and very nice. I wouldn't count on getting service over the phone but once you have an appointment it's not a problem.

Update: went again on January 2023, this time to renew my passport, change name and get a new passport for my baby, and again I had a great experience. Brigitta was so lovely and helpful, patient and thorough and made me feel at ease. We just received our passports and papers and I couldn't thank her enough for her help with the whole process!

Need to be more better Service
Originally, they were assigned to provide help and support for us , but instead of that they create a lot of problems. As a matter of fact, they stand against us in many situations. Based on their current status, They are a distraction. I really wish this was not the case. Many students are saying that the situation might be better without them.
Safeer Website services are great BUT we have troubles with phone calls! You never answered me before spending 25 minutes or more on the phone waiting and paying as well!! So time and money wasting! Please find a solution for phone calls!

They NEVER answer the phone !!!
when I came all the way here in London. They said sorry we cannot do nothing for you. your paper are in the ministry. you should contact them :(
If you had answered my calls I wouldn't have come to your office. You have been ignoring me and my calls I had no other option. They are not helpful at all.
