Gantry Park Landing was home for 2.5 years, and a great one. Quaint area with lots of little shops and daycares, and the apartment’s nestled right by the water. Doormen are always very kind and on top of things, and maintenance workers are all great at their job and a pleasure to be around.

I’ve always preferred a small to mid size apartment building, and Gantry Park Landing does an amazing job running one. Sad to have left here but will always be fondly remembered

There’s a lot of problems now that I’ve lived for 2 years. the building is not settling m, and lately have been hearing my neighbors above me (i feel like they move furnitures all the time or they do not have carpeting. Smoking in the hallway has diminished. Other than that I’m contented for now

Wondering how many of the good reviews for this place are genuine. Not sure how many people would go out of their way to leave a 5 star review saying its the best place to live in LIC. Happy tenants are just living their life. 3 months ago, 5pointz management was approached with some concerns regarding sudden charges for "amenities" ( that include access to literally everything in the building) and other items. The letter was completely ignored. If you are wanting to move here, don't get sold in for the amenities because they cost extra. This does not seem to be common practice in SOME other high rise buildings. The building has been riddled with leak problems for years. Maintenance response is fairly quick, they can at least get credit for that. But the shortcuts during construction are apparent. Part time, on site staff is pretty good. Those who manage all the way up at the top, maybe not so much. Dog friendly building but no place to take the dogs. Window washing never occurs. Some guy also committed suicide by jumping and landed on the terrace some time ago....it was brushed under the rug. The sky lounge that is advertised on the home page has never been open to anyone. Perhaps that changed for amenity members...WHO KNOWS. Initially the building promised kohler faucets, among other higher end brands for appliances. They made shortcuts along the way, and apartments have varying brands. Mostly, they suck. What would be appreciated is a little honesty and care for tenants, It's tough out there, and you would think that with a luxury building, charging high initial rents and then insane rent hikes with lease renewals, maybe a tenant would be allowed to go outside on the terrace for some sunshine. Crazy ask. 2 stars because it could always be worse. Please don't reply to this message @magement....you didn't in the first place, so why now?

I lived at Gantry Park landing for 2.5 years, and the staff have been amazing. Emil, Joe, Danny and Lama have all been phenomenal, easy to talk to and always ready to help. In the event I had any problems with my apt, David and Elvis would always help me as needed and were always so kind.

I recently had the opportunity to visit 5 Pointz Apartments and wanted to share my experience. I was disappointed to learn that employees from certain non profit organizations are not accepted as tenants, which was unexpected. Additionally, the leasing process seemed overly rigorous and the process of scheduling appointments proved to be quite challenging. Staff behaviour was very unprofessional. Unfortunately, due to these factors, my partner and I have decided to explore other housing options.

Lots of bad vibes in this place it's a revolving door of people moving out and in. They can't stop the smokers from smoking in this non smoking building I've lived here for over 3 years and the issues are coming up ! Let's start talking about the locks for the apartments when I first moved in the maintenance was putting on an extra barrier by the locks cause he said people apartments got broken into one morning I woke up with the thing I put behind my door moved away like someone opened my door in the middle of the night. There is no safety when a stranger has access to your apartment key it's just a matter of time before something happens etc. In addition the building gives one day notice for any adjustments needed for your apartment abviously everyone is not going to be home so their coming in without permission. !!!

This building delivers an exceptional experience with its cutting-edge amenities. The handymen are very helpful if I have an issue (which is not often). A rare gem in this area, and the added convenience of having Trader Joe's across the street makes it truly outstanding. Most importantly, it’s a safe building.

Recently four cars were stolen from the garage at gunpoint. Management never let the residence know. Building is breaking down. This building is so cheap. There is an article on realdeal about this building breaking down.
Constant smoking in the building. Management does not seem to care about the residents. You have to pay for golf. Sauna is not clean. Management does not replace the Sauna in a timely manner. They advertise a roofdeck but its not built.

What separates 5 Pointz from everyone else is the wonderful staff. They are very personable, take an interest in all the tenants and genuinely care. The front desk, mail room, and handyman are all very helpful and nice. Also, you can't beat this stunning view!

My experience has been extremely pleasant. From the moment I moved in, the staff has treated me like gold. The amenities, including the state of the art gym, and throw back arcades is a great blend of lifestyle and health.

Building is already breaking down after 2-3 years of opening. Multiple leaks throughout the apartment (including my ceiling). Not the first time this happened. Management is non-existent.

Carlo over at front desk thinks he owns the building. It's sad when doormen don't know their place and can't just do the job that they're hired to do.

He interrogates everyone who enters the building in a patronizing and sarcastic manner. It's unfortunate that these nice buildings have such scumbags working here.

Our server was Vera and she was very sweet, very good service. The food was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants quality service + food.

Location: Excellent (but active construction across the street for the next few years so beware).
Front desk + maintenance staff: Amazing.
Building management: Hard to reach and slow to respond.
Rent increases: OK but also be aware that the building's tax abatement is phasing out so you will be charged an additional % surcharge above your rent increase so it will raise faster than you think.
Move out process: Bit of a disaster. You are informed of absolutely nothing ahead of time. You WILL be charged ($250 studio / $300 1BR / $350 2BR / $400 3BR) no matter what condition you leave the apartment in so do not even bother spending time cleaning the place before leaving / hiring your own cleaners. It's taken the greater part of a month of emails with management and I still have not received an itemized list of deductions. I'm under the impression that I'm being overcharged for normal wear and tear but management refuses to back up their claims with anything substantial other than "trust us."

You will be charged $300 on move out no matter how clean you leave the apartment. It’s part of their security refund scam.

Other than this, they charged me $500 to repair 1 panel of wood that was scratched and yet have not responded with receipt of work done.

Also the leasing office is a disaster. Not sure how they are still employed there. Very bad experience but the building staff is very nice, stars for them.

Not sure why they think scamming people out of security is what a legit building management would do.

Edit: To your response below, I have sent you an email to discuss this matter. Also, no receipt of actual costs incurred were shared, it was general estimates. I was quite surprised to learn the repairing a single floor panel costs approx $500. actual receipts of work done by vendor would help clear this up which your team for some reason is not willing to provide.

Final update for readers here: please dont be fooled by their comments and responses. No one has reached out to me or has responded to my email. With this I have written off their scam as a loss for my choice of living in this building.

Very nice building …really only accept people with children

I loved living here so much! Quiet building, mostly quiet neighbors, Steve at the front desk was the best. The prices are astronomical now and unfortunately I couldn't stay, but I would absolutely move back if I get rich one day. Stayed there for 2 years thanks to a COVID deal (they hiked up the price unreasonably for our third lease renewal just like every greedy landlord in the city) and so I couldn't resign, but the experience of living there was truly pleasant and enjoyable.

The entire process in this building has been going very smooth. I appreciate the building's quick responses. They have a very good team to work with in this building. I'm very pleased.

We lived here for two years and had a great experience up until we moved out. Although our lease ended in June, we were illegally charged for July rent. When I discovered TF Cornerstone’s mistake I called the leasing office and was told the reimbursement could take up to 90 days, but that they’d send an email confirming the reimbursement details. It’s been a full week, and after following up several times I have still not received any confirmation or any contact from the leasing office.

At this point it is unclear whether we are going to be reimbursed. Unfortunately, we are now filing a formal dispute and will be taking legal action.

The doormen needs to be be respectful to the delivery drivers. They should not let the delivery drivers to wait in the line. I went onto deliver the order to the customer because the doorman who is working on 9:50PM JUNE 25 ignored my existence. And he ran after me and accused me that I was sneaking in the build. This is outright disrespectful and very disappointing l.

This place is awesome! Moved in a month ago. Coming from Manhattan, I was concerned I would miss it, but damn I love LIC! Gibraan and Jack were great during the leasing process. The front desk - Luis, Edi, Sharmean - all so nice and helpful. And I’ve gotten great responses from Nellia in mgmt. If you’re even thinking about this place, go for it - you’ll love the building and the area!

We are moving out but this was an excellent place to live for 3 years. Very friendly, responsive hard working staff and well run building. We moved on to a "nicer" more "modern" place but already wishing we stayed because more modern cannot cover up lack of attention to detail and poorly run building.

I've lived here for almost a year now. Unfortunately will have to move but I want to put a recent review for this building. An absolute gem on the Long Island City waterfront. Beautiful, spacious apartments that are modern, brightly lit, and rent stabilized. The entire building staff is wonderful and welcoming and the amenities are so well taken care of. The folks at the front desk especially are the nicest I've experienced in any apartment. It was a pleasure living here and I'd recommend the building to anyone who wants a cozy home in a healthy community without the mega corporate feel of the surrounding high rises in the area.

I live in this building for 2 years and love it! All staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Anytime we need some maintenance, they quickly respond and fix the issue(same day). Overall building is well maintained, has great amenities (tennis courts, big gym, beach volleyball, cabanas, grills and more) also having a large parking garage makes it convenient. So far great experience!

I was supposed to get a apt in there last year I was late getting some paperwork,I'm disabled they denied my appeal..it really hurt me I was looking forward to living there it is so beautiful after surviving 4 surgeries and afterwards 2 accident I thought that would be my comfort zone on

Very nice place to live. Only problem is that majority of the time I don’t have any hot water. I have to boil water to shower myself and my children. And it seems no one cares to resolve the problem.

Beautiful building staff are friendly and help whenever you have an issue. IF YOU OWN A VEHICLE I wouldn't recommend you move here, but if you take public transit this building is in a prime location. All electric apartments and everything is brand new. Great place to live.

Beware: Building management is absolutely awful. They will claim it improved with new management, but it is the same. Their email responsiveness is abysmal. They do not follow NYC laws with lease renewals and do not care at all about the tenants, only about making a dollar. Do not expect your security deposit back unless you show up to their office and pick it up yourself. They will claim it was put in the mail and the mail will never come.

I love this building. The management is great. They respond to requests or questions within a day. The people working here are kind and friendly. The view is beautiful. I appreciate the work they put in to make our experience great. 100% recommend.

We lived here for five years and loved it. The staff is super responsive (I still remember the time they showed up at 3AM on Christmas Eve to fix a beeping smoke detector) and very friendly. We made many friends both with the people who work here and live here and felt like part of a caring community. Sad to leave but we needed more space. Highly recommend especially for young families

The place is very unprofessional and the staff are very rude. They discriminate against single people and students. You will only qualify if you have children, which would be fine if that was specified on their website or the housing connect website. Instead the employees in the leasing office will waste your time, making you come all the way up there, just to make you fill out paper work with your signature, only to reject your application because they didn't specify online that as a tax credit building you have to have dependents.

5241 Center Blvd and TF Cornerstone are by far the best. My husband and I lived there for about 1 year and received the absolute fantastic treatment. The units are modern and stunning. But even more importantly the team at 5241 are second to none. Every person (Brian, Marvin, Vince, Shami and more) at the front desk and the package attendants knew our names and even our apartment number. Someone was available at any hour to help us if need be. The building is safe and secure and very well maintained. Maintenance addressed problems quickly (within 24 hours) and have an awesome leader, Junior. Junior loved our pup (and she went crazy for him) and even gave her treats at any passing. We loved our time at 5241 and only left due to relocating to the West Coast. My friends are even annoyed with how often I tell them to move over to LIC because of how awesome our experience was! We love and greatly miss our home at 5241!

Love living here! People working here are the nicest, most welcoming and helpful. Really feels like home!

Highly unprofessional leasing staff and was racially profiled and harassed by a weird looking receptionist/building worker named Martinez. Note: I was a tenant and paid ~$5000 per month for the nonsense. Plenty of other better buildings to chose from, trust me

This is a great building. I’ve been living here for 18 months now, and since Covid struck, of course I’ve been spending even more time at home. I love my apartment! It seems to be a very well run building. The doormen are friendly, and the management is attentive and professional. Any time I need something, they respond quickly and efficiently. It’s a great place to call home.

I was a long-term resident here, and I love the location. It is clean and well maintained. This area is pristine, and it is straightforward to find your way around. LIC is smacked right in the middle between Astoria, Greenpoint, and Manhattan. It is easy walking distance to Williamsburg; you will need to take the Polaski bridge. Most of the apartments facing West and South will reveal amazing river and skyline views. The view could be your stress relief medicine to take every morning after you wake up here. Now, all of the bldg is managed by TFCornerstone. By far, this is one of my favorite management to work with. They are very attentive and always professional to deliver beyond your expectations. The staff in all the buildings is friendly, and once you are a resident, you know that you have a team of people to take care of you. It is amazing how this area has transitioned from industrial to residential to become one of the most preferred neighborhood choices for so many people lately.

Don’t rent here. The management company is awful, and not a true management company. They have some random person answering emails and she has no clue what she’s doing and changes her responses many times. Also takes days on days to answer. They say one thing then switch it up the next day. In terms of the unit, the air conditioning units are broken half of the time and some vents aren’t even installed properly, in addition everything is cheaply made. Plenty of other nicer buildings. (The front guys are nice, but that’s about it in terms of nice here)

Genuinely surprised this doesn’t have a 5 star review. I’ve been living here for several months and have never had any issues. It’s a beautiful, brand new building with great views of NYC (especially from the roof!). It’s very quiet and spacious, and the doormen are very friendly and helpful. Definitely the best apartment I’ve ever rented!

I am a 2 year tenant in the Park Haven Apts and the Super Randy is very quick in responding to work orders, he and his team keeps the building very clean & maintained. In addition, when I go to the office Jacinia/Amanda & Daniel are professional and always greet you with a smile.

This building is very good. I lived there for 2 years and enjoyed my stay very much. Everybody on the team is great and does a wonderful job. Apartments are clean, everything functions very well and if minor maintenance is required management reacts quickly and fix everything.

Amenities like rooftop or game room are awesome. Gym has everything you need and they offer free yoga there.

Lived here 2 years and will miss it tremendously. The staff are friendly, responsive, hard-working. The building itself has great amenities which we used on a weekly basis. The rooftop has amazing views and is great for guests, the gym is never too crowded, has enough equipment. Other residents were also very nice, no issues with neighbors. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would recommend to any LIC resident.

Just did an upgrade to a higher floor. Ivan and Daniel made the transition seamless regarding paperwork.

The building has amazing amenities as well as a great gym and terrace. The club room is great for having guests over for entertainment.

The parking garage is super convenient by having access directly to each floor within the building.

The free shuttle bus to the train in the morning makes it very easy during the morning commute. The shuttle is also available in the afternoon for the return trip.

All in all, this is a fantastic place to live.
