Reviews

We love our apartment and everyone on staff who makes our experience at Parker Towers. That said, I wish there was a better system to address issues in the gyms. For example, 2 of the 3 Preston bikes have not worked in nearly two months. Additionally, there a broken benches and other equipment. For $45/month, I find that to be a little disappointing.

This used to be a great place to live. Then it got acquired by Chinese investors and so e hedge fund.... You know how it goes after that. They have put lipstick on the pig while the plumbing is falling apart.
Office staff is rude as hell unless you manage to establish a personal rapport. They will nickel and dime you for everything unless you have a rent control apartment who are treated as royalty.
My advice, unless you are getting a rent control apartment funded by stupidity of you fellow taxpayers, give this a pass.

My family and I love living at Parker Towers. It is safe for my family. All the employees are fantastic, and help you when needed The convenience is great, stores and restaurants are within walking distance. I highly recommend Parker Towers as a great place to live.

I have been a resident of PT since Covid and overall it's been a great place to live. The apartments are spacious with beautiful views of the city and management is cooperative and caring. The resident managers and doormen work hard and are always pleasant and helpful.

A special shout out to Ioannis for showing us the building and for his thoughtful, well informed, responses. Looking forward to the start of our lease!

I've lived at Parker Towers for several years now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the management team. Joe and his team work tirelessly to keep the building clean and well-maintained. Every time I walk through the doors, I'm always greeted with a smile. Their dedication and hard work truly make Parker Towers a wonderful place to live. Highly recommended!

Jose did a fantastic job of repairing the plaster around my AC that was leaking into the wall. Michael who did the initial removal and repair of the AC unit was great as well. Thank you!

Management gets progressively worse every year. They harass you to renew a lease 150 days before it’s up but they won’t respond to you when you have genuine concerns.
Don’t even bother addressing your concerns with the leasing office just call 311 if you want actual assistance.

Jose the plaster man at 104-20 Queens Blvd is awesome. He’s been so helpful to us and is always kind, caring and attentive to our needs in the apartment. Not to mention, he does great work. Love it!

Fantastic pet policy with no additional fees or pet deposits required. The building has outdoor area designated as a dog's playground. Truly a one-of-a-kind building!

Parker Towers were a perfect place to live in terms of location, cleanliness, facilities and good people. Trader Joe’s which was reopened in Nov. 2023 made our life more than perfect.

The apartments and the building staff are nice, however ever since we moved in a month ago, there has been a horrible strong marijuana smell that comes into our apartment vent and in the hallways that makes me give this building a 1 star review. This is a daily occurrence and the smell is so bad it’s going into our bed sheets and clothes. It’s ridiculous and just unacceptable that a building that has a supposedly “strict” no-smoking policy is allowing this to happen. And considering the marketing they use to promote these apartments as high-end! We’ve complained and contacted management several times, yet the whole month nothing has been done to stop it. So unless you smoke marijuana, I wouldn’t recommend living here.

I absolutely LOVE living at Halletts Point. The staff is fantastic - maintenance is fast, the porters are great, every concierge knows my name and welcomes me home daily! As a single female and native NYer I feel incredibly safe here (not something I felt most other places I looked at.) Use some street smarts and common sense walking around the neighborhood and you’ll be fine. My dogs are welcome which is a huge stress-reliever. Yes, there’s construction noise, like everywhere in NYC, but it’s not at all intolerable and this is still one of the quietest areas you’ll find this close to the city. The ferry is super convenient for me working on the UES. There are also several buses and a free shuttle to the subway, restaurants, shopping, etc. They have some pretty cool monthly events like wine tastings, dance classes, barbecues, etc. Also there’s a grocery store downstairs and an urgent care AND wine shop a block away. Need I say more?

Been living at 10 Halletts Point for almost 2 years now This has been my favorite home after living in NYC for over 10 years.

The building has a lot of potential. They just need to take care of it better. Small details can make a great difference: changing light bulbs, taking care of the entrance of the building ,replacing outdated furniture in lounge,Gym and rooftop, better cleaning of common areas (although owners and tenants do have to do better at picking up after themselves) . Small things that don’t cost that much money, but will make a huge difference.

Terrible management don’t matter if you live here or visit someone you get treated horribly high rent for poor service the people in the office the worst very unprofessional.

Couldn’t be happier with the building as it has a fantastic location, close to parks, Costco and transportation. Awesome views from the rooftop. My apartment has a washer and dryer and a balcony, a luxury in NYC.

Having called this luxury building my home for the past year, I can confidently say it has been an exceptional experience. The building's prime location in Astoria adds to its allure, making it a perfect blend of urban convenience and luxorous living. The apartments are beautiful and spacious, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. And as for the views - they are absolutely breathtaking.
The amenities here are nothing short but impressive. The state-of-the-art fitness center has been my go-to spot for maintaining a healthy lifestyile, while the rooftop lounge offers a luxorious retreat.
The 24/7 concierge service ensures that every need is met propmtly. Additionally they're always very helpful and friendly.
The building itself creates a warn and welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home.
Living here has been an extraordinary experience and I recommend this luxury building to anyone, seeking a higher standard of urban living.

Classic looking apartment building.

The rooftop is not maintained at all. The residents don’t pick up after themselves and staff doesn’t clean.

This is not a good place for families/elderly/individuals. Management office is actively discriminatory across most racial lines. They think because they are occupying an administrative role that they can belittle you or do not provide assistance to your issues in your apartment. Many times I have had to hire outside contractor to fix issues that they are in charge of fixing (lots of $$ spent to live in dignity). They routinely make errors and you just kind of have to put up with it until they change the entire administration or leave ofc. The building itself has issues with dirty water and bugs. The single star would be the serene view of the ocean and the maintenance team who work really hard to make sure all (27) floors are clean.

Beautiful building with fantastic water views outside of the hustle. I love all the amenities here, the 4 the floor BBQ terrace has beautiful view of the city. The staffs are nice and keep the whole building nice and clean. The only down side is it’s far away from the subway station and the bus seldom follow its schedule. Although the building has its own shuttle, it’s barely on time, which makes the commute not so easy. It’s several block away from the Astoria park, where you can enjoy the sunset and exercising. The neighborhood here is a mix, during the day time is fine, but needs to be alert during the night time in certain area. But overall, it’s a nice place to stay.

This building has been maintained pleasantly! They have awesome doormen, who are very kind and respectful. I can say this by living in this building for two years. My dog has gathered a bunch of buddies through the way, and awesome neighbors.

This building is not maintained by the management and staff. The rooftop furniture has been broken and unusable, there are huge weeds outside of the building, the floors are always dirty and there are footprints on elevator buttons all the time.
Recently, the bike storage that tenants pay for was broken into and bikes were stolen, including my bike. When I contacted the management about the incident, they refused to take accountability, did not inform tenants of the theft, and have censored my post about this matter on the building's community board. They also don't have cameras installed in the basement where the bike storage and gym are located.
The building is advertised as a luxury, 24/7 doorman building, but it's a ran down and unsafe place that overcharges for rent/ownership and "amenities."

Submitted an application a few years ago, and finally got an interview last November. Never heard from them again. I called about two months ago (May) to follow up and turns out they lost my application and I would have to begin the process all over again. Very unprofessional. Maybe it’s best that I didn’t end up there. Sad because it would have been convenient considering my folks live there. Plus it’s beautiful.

We have lived at 10 Halletts Point for two months and are very happy! The amenities and staff are 10/10. The shuttle is almost always on time, however, there is a bit of confusion as to whether or not you need a control access keycard to get on? This has been unclear from the driver as well as the concierge who told us not to worry about it.
I would say that a few things to be mindful of (that are out of the control of the building management) are as follows:
The park next door is very frequently a venue for late-night raucous parties and some over-night loitering. The parties are sometimes loud and almost always leave an aftermath of strewn garbage and tons of rib bones and chicken bones from barbecue so PLEASE watch out if you have dogs!!! As young women, we avoid this park at night because it is used for sleeping, transactions, etc.

I love it out in far rockaway. The beach is steps away, food and a grassy area for bar-be-cueing.A bathroom, and the building, all apartments have balconys,it looks like it.Hard to find parking.

Not happy. I live in an apartment overlooking Whitey Ford Field. My wife and I were very happy to move here from the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The first night here there was a party in the park that went until 4 am with loud music, fireworks, etc. Also, the flood lights on the ball field were on the entire night. Of note, there are eight poles each standing 80 feet tall. Then on each individual pole there are eight separate flood lights. That's a total of 64 flood lights glaring into my apartment every night ALL night long.
We asked about it and were told that the lights are supposed to be turned off at 11PM. They had petitioned the parks department and were able to "work that out". Even worse, when I asked why we had not been told about the lights and parties I was told, "we don't have to divulge that information to you". OK, well where I am from that is considered a lie. They also told us they were unable to do anything about the lights and we ourselves would need to call the NYC Parks Dept. According to the NYC Parks website, the lights are supposed to turn off at 9pm. We have made numerous calls to the Parks Dept and no one calls back.
The building itself is very nice but my apartment is lit up all night long every night and I have with music from block parties every weekend pouring in as well.
Bottom line is Durst and their employees willfully lied to us / withheld information that would allow us to make an informed decision about whether we would be happy with the apartment - and the rent isn't cheap We have raised the issue a number of times. No resolution.
My advice is don't move here. I am just waiting to learn the other things the Durst corporation has withheld from us or outright lied about. Take your money somewhere else.

Stunning views. Nice neighbors. Good management

Great amenities, one of the most well kept buildings in Astoria. Full time dorman. Private shuttle to the Subway.

This would be an even nicer place if the residents cared more and management! The laundry room has roaches which it didn't before. They would exterminate on a monthly basis but they don't now. Its like they are cutting corners in every way possible. It's sad that a lot of places in NY just don't care. They don't take care of their tenants unless you live in a more upscale place not to say that this place isn't nice because it could be if it was better maintained. Ppl slam the door to the stairwell and garbage disposal all hours. If you have bad management and tenants then your bldg will eventually run down. It's like why can't ppl care!! It's annoying honestly and sad. Some of the floors in the apartment's are supposed to be changed out but they still haven't. Again this would be an amazing place if it was maintained better and had different tenants.

Not sure why there are negative reviews here. The management is very responsive. I moved into my apt with absolutely no issues. The rooftop is beautiful and the gym is great with updated equipment. Apartment fixtures are top of the line and overall built very well. Only thing I will say is I live at the sister building that’s off to the side, and we don’t have a buzzer for each apartment and it’s very inconvenient and I hope that changes because it’s very impractical, if you have guests coming over or order packages.

I was interested in renting here and am highly allergic to mold, so I asked, over email, whether the building had *any* history of water damage. Jonathan Zarka, from the Daniel Group, wrote me back promptly a few days ago, saying "The building is 4 years old and has never had any water damage." Thankfully I saw the review below mine, and did not pursue. A building management company who calls a history of massive flooding throughout the building on 2 floors "never... any water damage" is not someone who you should feel comfortable renting from. By the way, I texted Daniel after I found out, to see his response, and here is what he had to say: "I was not aware of any water damage. It was not a lie or misleading. I just started working for management several months ago and I guess there was a sprinkler system that leaked like your (sic) saying, I am not sure. Additionally, the question regarding water damage general (sic) refers to water from the river or water underground affecting the structure of the building." The management here is not to be trusted.

I was the project superintendent of this building he of my best projects

Great location. Ferry across the street. Killer views, especially from roof deck. One tier below the luxury brand they promote. Had a huge sprinkler system roof blowout during the frigid winter, causing thousands of gallons to cascade down from roof, flooding 7th - 6th Floor, elevators, stairwells, lobby. Zero communication from Mgmt. Could have been minimized by basic training of weekend doorman, who didn’t have a key access the shut off valve. FDNY pried the door and finally shut off. Weeks of hallway carpet tear outs , drywall cuts and replacements, etc. One quick hallway meeting with tenants that were around to attend. Ask about sprinkler flood if you’re considering upper floor units. Roof deck furniture not maintained. Dogs galore. A few sketchy tenants that stiffed them for months of back rent and then took off. One guy, said he worked for ‘UPS’, was the area DD. Cars coming by at all hours. Quick in and out. You get the drift. Great day concierge.

My grandma lives there and it's great I love the beaches and parks and everything about it it's like my second home

It's a pretty descent place to live. However, the quality has gone down during the past 7 years since I have been there. It is not to say that the maintenance team isn't doing its job... trust me they are. It's just the people that are brought in now who doesn't have any respect for rules & regulations, good values, and their neighbors. Management tries their very best to make this place a proper dwelling and affordable place to live. We embrace and look forward to having neighbors who are good citizens - who won't put their needs ahead of other's. As a suggestion, I believe this place will do very well as condominiums.

This place is the best!!! The company owns the building are great, fair prices, very good Super named Jose, best 24/7 doorman!

5 star. Luxury. Clean. Beautiful.

Back when ocean park was built in the day, it was an awesome place to live. Then residents crashed this atmosphere with nearly every tenant having a copy of the elevator bypass key. The pool was in summer use.
The beach was crowded, I worked for the consession but drug users started making it their home.
