Be careful what you buy from the bakery. Recently bought a pack of 6 store made Calabrese buns and they went complete mold right at the expiry date. Usually takes way longer than this for mold to show. I am thinking they may have re-packed and re-labelled expired buns to avoid throwing them out. I have heard stores might start to implement tactics like this to reduce waste and keep costs down.
I have visited this store a few times since it's opening, yesterday being the last other than to use a rain check. I'll gladly use it at another location if I can. What was a not so great Loblaws is equally a not so great No Frills.
This No Frills is probably the worst of any No Frills I've ever been to. On EVERY occasion I have visited this store, they never have what I want in stock. Staff are rude, or generally don't care. That would obviously be a trickle down effect from the manager or owner.
Shelves are disorganized and empty. It's also not as clean.
I think they're just waiting to sell the location to developers.
Dont waste a TTC fare to get here because you'll be disappointed. Go elsewhere.

I’ve decided that Saturday was my last visit to this location. After the transition from a mediocre Loblaws to No Frills, I wanted to give it some time to settle, but unfortunately, it hasn’t met expectations. Unlike the Carlaw No Frills, this location consistently disappoints. Week after week, I’ve searched for sale items from the flyer, only to find they’re either out of stock or still marked at regular price. On my most recent visit, I needed six items and left with just two.
Thankfully, I have two other No Frills stores nearby that I’ll be visiting from now on. As for the Broadview location, it’s just not worth the trip.
My gut feeling is that they're not putting much effort into this store, as it will probably become one of their new "No Name" stores in the not so distant future.

A bit long story ---
I needed to buy some top soil yesterday, specifically the Compliments product, which is very good quality and I have been purchasing in the last few years from Sobeys.
I first drove to the Danforth store, but it has got none. To not waste time, I called the Broadview store to check, and I was quite pleased to hear it has got the soil and price too.
I drove to the Broadview, but there were no Compliments top soils. I then found the young lady at Flowers, shared my experience and asked her help if she can find any.
She admitted right away that she was actually just talking to me on phone and she was very sorry that she mixed it up as she was eyeballing the soil piles in the parking lot from inside the store.
She sensed my disappointment immediately and showed an apparent & sincere desire to help the customer, thus proposed she will message the store manager, trying to get me another top-soil product at some discount. While no response after ~10 minutes, she tried to call the store manager, nor answered...

At the end, the twist of the story made such a warm impact in my (and my family) heart, we talked about during dinner, and we feel obliged to write it up here.
It must be the great customer-caring culture (haha, the fertile soil) at Sobeys on Broadview, that she is so honest, sincere, able to sympathize customer's sorrow, and do all she can to earn back the trust of the customer, while not breaking the rules.

No parking. Went to the store at 3:15 on a Friday. Not one spot available; that is not unusual. Parked off-site and went into the store which was mostly empty. Parents from Montcrest park in their lot when they pick up their kids from school. I asked the security guard and he shrugged his shoulders. Sobey’s just up the road has tons of parking. That’s where I’ll be shopping from now on.
Not such a great experience for me today. I’ve been a Sobeys customer since I’ve move to the neighbourhood and lately I’ve been disappointed by the quality of the meats. Today is an example: packaged today 4, best before the 6 and the color is that. Outside was looking good, nice pink/red color inside brown! That’s how you waist 9$, I put all in the garbage without even trying to cook it (don’t want to pay more for medical expenses).
This is my local grocery store and was a Loblaws until last spring. It was never that great a Loblaws but is considerably worse as a No Frills.

-on many toiletry items, they do the same thing that dollar stores do in stocking smaller packages that carry smaller price tags but are much more expensive per unit than buying similar items at non-discount stores

Really went to store to access the wine store which turned out to be a separate entity but ended shopping in the sobeys. Store spacious and clean. Visited bakery deli and meat section. Was happy to find beef strips for me and beef liver for my dog. Happy for good dating on both bakery and meat will definitely visit store again.
A truly one stop shopping experience for me! What I enjoy the most is that it's a relaxing experience to go and shop here. I've never felt rushed, rarely if ever deal with unruly shoppers or crowding. The staff and patrons are usually so nice. The people at their stations are always so pleasant and ready to take my order or give me a moment to see what calls me. Some of my favourite amenities are:

Overpriced basic products, this is far from a affordable or discount supermarket as they claim to be. Lack of options for different brands. Their own brands (PC, No Name, etc) are more expensive than others. Check food products quality before taking them as many are in poor condition.
Service there is only for the Average & persons who don't care about their wallet.
Disabled folks-Stay away, folks struggling to get Great food , Well the Quality of foods indeed is Great.

This is a smaller store that still has plenty of variety. Their prepared foods selections are excellent. They have all the varieties of chicken asking with roast beef and pulled pork.
They have a parking lot. The store is wheelchair accessible. And they even have a small garden centre.

"Come back after paying the bill or complete the rest of your shopping" - sounds familiar? -- বিল টা পে করে আসেন, অথবা আরও বাজার থাকলে সেরে আসেন।
I bought meat from this shop around 4,5 times. Each time they said this and I was praying so that don't change the meat while I'm paying. I didn't notice any major issue with the meat after making payment before.
But, this time after giving me the receipt the new employee didn't tell me such thing and I thought maybe this time they are not even thinking of doing any scam or anything. Unfortunately, this time they finally did it. Trust me the chunk of meat looked fresh when I chose it. While cooking I noticed something is not right and ignored. But while eating it was obvious that the meat was very old and in bad condition. Thank god, we didn't get sick. My assumption is either they mix old meat with the selected meat or totally swap it. Never going back to Ababeel Supermarket for meat again.
It's very disappointing to see how our fellow “deshi” people scam their own like this! No wonder non-Bangladeshi people avoid these shops.

Cannot express my love for Galleria enough. Fantastic prices on delicious ready to eat meals and snacks, meal kits, and other staples for cooking back home. If you haven't got mom's fried chicken, you're missing out 🔥
Poorly organized isles and badly overpriced produce. No gluten free section. And was told today that they don’t have trolleys so good luck hauling your shopping around. Not coming back. I’ll support the mom and pop grocers on Roncy instead.
I visit to get original Korean foods every day..I can also find many nostalgic items that I used to eat when I was a child.. they always manage qualities good and fresh..my favorite store

I asked and demonstrated the saw cutter to cut and portion my fishes to my satisfaction. He understood my directives peacefully. Unfortunately, at the time of delivery, I saw the cutting was very bad, which actually spoiled my expensive fishes. They accepted their fault but declined to replace the faulty product. It appears to me that the cutters and staff were not skilled as they hire these types of unskilled people to augment their profit, and they don't compromise profit in whatever situation. I requested them to do something to resolve the matter, but they didn't care. I tried not to give any negative reviews as I thought if the products were good, I wouldn't leave any review on this issue. But after I ate the Hilsha Fishes, I was very unhappy with the product quality. It was tasted very bad, which led me to garbage their product.

Overall there's great imports, the prices are highly inflated unfortunately. You can occasionally find some stuff on sale but not too often.

Great store. Big variety of different products. Clean facilities. A lot of parking. Great customer service. A little more expensive though than other stores such as No frills for example.
This experience happened to me a couple of months ago but never posted a review until now because I still can’t believe it. I bought one of their pre packaged feta pasta cause it was 50% I believe and when I got home, I ate about 70% of it and looked down and there was a freaking earwig!! I couldn’t believe my eyes, I felt absolutely sick. Nasty establishment! I didn’t go in cause it wasn’t worth going back and getting a refund since it’s a bit far from me but I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else!

This is a revived one with new options and products. Their meat and fish section is better than the others. But we need to wait and see what happens in the long run. For the time being 4 ⭐. Prices are significantly higher than the others.
I think it’s more than a year and I am yet to get a small refund. I bought a pack of Kala Jeera rice and they charged me for two. They also added a frozen fish to my cart that was actually not mine. My wife called them later and provided all the details. They said they will get back shortly which they never did. My wife again called them after a month. They said they will refund the money and we provided our email address for etransfer. We never got that e-transfer. It’s not a big amount but it shows how bad they serve their customers. I don’t go to that store anymore. In canada, I have seen companies sending refunds where postal ticket cost is higher than the refund amount.

Their beef and duck sourcing is really very good. I would say best in the city. I tried lots of different community shops for beef. But end up here. Hopefully they will continue this. Another addition recently is fresh fish from bangladesh. Only concerned thing is very unpleasant smell inside the shop which seemingly runny washroom condition.
I got scammed with price on 9 december 2023 the chips on rack was $1.25 but the bill was $2.25 !! There is no any barcode on the product and expiring date !! What kind of service the shop giving to the customers??? The worst Man !! And the same chips I bought on 26th December 2023 It was $1.25 what the heck is this ??????
You can get All Tamil grocery in one place. But don’t expect cleanest store.

The two wonderful gentlemen working the photo counter were incredible kind, patient and helpful. They even taught me new tricks with my Google Drive. I was shopping at this location today around 6:45pm. I found a great deal on pasta sauce but couldn't figure out how to load the coupons.(Yes I know I am not good with apps)
The young lady at the customer service desk was so sweet and patient with my confused questions, she guided me through the whole process without stress. And the other associate there was also helping out another person with their order.
Great customer service ladies. They went above and beyond what they should have done and that is GREATLY APPRECIATED.
What WOULD have been a stressful situation anywhere else wasn't here because those two ladies had compassion and patience, something that is lacking in todays retail settings.
I hope the manager and DM read my post and understand that these two ladies are great workers and that you should invest more time for them to move up if they want too because they understand what it means to be a customer service rep. MOST PEOPLE DON'T.

My first time here. I needed tomatoes but was curious about the store in general as I enjoy Asian grocers and cuisine. I was not disappointed. Many of my favourite items were here. As a grocereteria it's quite well stocked and clean. I would have no fear of consuming anything spoiled from here. Cashiers are helpful and friendly too.
This loblaws is perpetually under stocked. Currently, they have been out of kosher salt for almost a month. Their produce section is sad. I often find produce that is clearly gone bad. The deli, is slow as molasses and grumpy. Literally never a basket insight at the entrance. I always have to go search for them.
The selection is decent and the location is convenient because it's central. But the items can be a bit overpriced and the staff are rude. I'd rather travel the extra short distance and shop at the Dundas location for better service. Or shop at T&T.

Very spacious and with a lot if variety of goods.. However bit difficult to find the stuff.. Been walking around asking from the staff to find a certain item but no one knew and couldn't find it..
I have just been racially profiled at this Walmart. The common insulting habit of store associates asking Black customers to see receipts of items in their personal shopping bags. I had just come from Canadian Tire with a toilet seat, in a visibly non-Walmart shopping bag. Shopped using the cart placing Walmart items besides my bag, removed items to be cashed out, paid for them. As I was packing Walmart items into my shopping bag the associates asks to see the receipt of the toilet seat. It doesn’t matter whether you carry the same item as the one in my bag, you have no right to think I am carrying it from your store without paying for it just because I’m black. What a demeaning way to treat Black customers, especially because this Walmart is in Etobicoke where there are a lot of newcomers, immigrants who can easily be harassed by such associates. Walmart, train your employees on micro-agressions, subconscious bias because these are all acts of racism. Do better.

I accidentally bought expired BABY food from this location. Thankfully, my baby did not get sick. After this happened, I have found many other expired food items on their shelves. They must not check their shelves regularly.
Family run business been getting subs from them many decades from their original and various new locations. Best tasting subs.

Metro is not for everyone. Basically it targets a specific group of clients. So either you like it or don't even bother going there.

It has all the supermarket departments. Parts of the store seems dark due to lack of bright lighting and lower ceiling. Daily fresh bread from bakery department comes out late morning, so anticipate to buy day old baked goods at store opening.

My favorite location of this chain. Has lots of staff members present and there is usually ample parking on the weekends. On today's visit there were a lot of empty shelves. There seems to be a bit of a supply chain issue in the area lately, and this location of Walmart seems to be rather heavily affected.
Came back to this store for the first time in months. Prices are INSANE. And there is simply no justification for it, items are not organic nor local, literally just the same quality as other supermarkets, just much more expensive. Their fresh products section used to be good as I used to go to Sobeys for years but now, unless you are looking for a specific item, it’s really not worth it to shop here.

Freshland is great for their supermarket section as they carry pretty much everything you can think off from all different countries.
But my most favourite part is their Cooked Food court section. They have the best Chinese food counter with varied options of super yummy dishes. Just recently they added a fresh Sushi counter and I love it.
They have also added a vegan food counter which I have no tried yet but I am sure it will be good too.
This food court has become my go to! Love it!

My visit to "New Spice Land" was a nightmare today. Around 2 pm, I was in the restaurant, ordered a veg meals. The lady in charge was unbelievably rude, arrogant, and shockingly unprofessional. Her name is Karthika. She not only refused to serve me but also had the audacity to yell in my face in front of the other customers. This appalling behavior is utterly unacceptable, and I will never subject myself to such mistreatment again by stepping foot in that establishment.
TERRIBLE costumer service, cashier was great, but the seafood guy was aggressive with me and my friends mom. He refused to help us pick a crab and started yelling at us when we kindly asked to purchase two. Even the cashier agreed that he was aggressive. Boooooo.

Produce is usually better quality with a wider variety than most chain grocery stores, sometimes at a considerably better price as well. Some of the marked down produce they are getting rid of is better than what you might find at No Frills some days. Fish is fresh as it gets, meat counter is also value for quality. There is a separate meat counter just for halal.

It is what it is, largely a korean specialty grocer that sells many of the things you would want for any asian dish plus tons of snacks, sweets and drinks direct from Korea and other asian locales. Depending on the store size some things might be found in one and not another.
The store manager and staff were very helpful! Great choice of products - they have many items that I can’t find at different asian stores

Metro has all supplies, including groceries, dairy products, meat , washing supplies, bathroom supplies , hygiene products , and cosmetics. Bakery items are fresh and good in taste. Bouquet and greeting cards are also available.
Decent place for getting weekly grocery supplies. There are discounted products available in all areas.

This place is a scam. I went to this store 2 days ago to get mutton and they gave me all fat meat like there was no meat at all. I paid about a big price for it for about $34 which was not worth it at all. They say halal meat store and they cheat like this it’s not fare for consumers like us who believe to come into a store and get the right customer satisfaction for the product. Also, I kept saying to that guy at the meat side section I want more meat he lied and said they will give a lot of meat . I have attached an image below for reference they meat in the bowl is how I got after cleaning and the rest on the side is is just fat. Worst place ever I hope someone see this review and does not go there and they need to stop cheating people like this it’s not good. We cannot afford to promote such places in canada being Canadians we have rights and such places misuse them.

This grocery store not just caters to all Asian food needs, I have also found Latin American stuff such as corn flour and "Abuelita" Chocolate from Mexico. My wife found most foods reasonably priced. Meat department has one of the best deals. This store was even opened on Canada Day! This is the 2nd time we visit.

Good selection of fruits, vegetables, meats and spices, but is not always fresh nor does it taste good. Nice that they still don't charge for bags and open almost everyday, including holidays.
So why operate the store to have customers shop when your just going to block aisles with skids and product. Pretty sure it’s a fire hazard, not only that boxes higher up and wrapped for safety so if you bump it they could possibly fall. Not a good idea for evening shoppers the store still has two hours before it closes

Staffs are not good. And bit expensive. The good thing is that most of the produce is fresh.
Just came in looking to buy some late night groceries, but kept on getting uncomfortably approached by one of the male staff (not the security) with long hair (that’s tied up). Upon entering the store, no one greets you and doesn’t seem to be interested in your business. The male staff on the floor immediately gave me a dirty look and kept on following me very closely while I was shopping for groceries. If I’m not mistaken, they have a security guard present (that’s always leaning on things) that’s on the floor because I see the same security leaning on things at the Ryerson/TMU location, so I don’t understand why is the floor staff following me so closely, is lost and prevention part of their responsibility? If so better training needs to be done, especially if you are going to have floor staff trying to do the job of a security officer.

Food court first store (left to bubble tea shop) do not buy, rice was cold, much like over night rice. Pork tasted fishy. Had to throw the whole plate.
Located inside the Bridlewood Mall in Scarborough. This is a huge chain and this particular branch has everything you need for your daily needs. Check out their flyers on Flipp or on their official application for the current offers. There are self checkouts available as well. They accept all kinds of payment methods. One of the supermarket chains in Toronto Ontario. Didn't have to wait in line for the checkout.
One of the Asian supermarkets available in Toronto Ontario region. Has all kinds of spices and sauces you need for your Asian or Indian cuisine. Located inside bridlewood mall in Scarborough. It has a separate meat, fish, bakery corners. They also have household items like the carpets and other useful stuff. Checkout is hassle free and there is a good amount of space to shop around. Overall, it was a good experience since its close to my house. You'll get all the Chinese cuisine that you are looking for.

Didn't know about this supermarket until I saw it on a flyer last night. Went there today and I was surprised by how spacious and clean it is. It also has a good variety of Asian products. Will definitely go again.
I bought a small bag of roasted peanuts two weeks ago. It is the worst peanuts I have ever bought. The peanuts were not mature when they were harvested and the kernels are very small. Because of this, almost all the peanut shells are half empty and peanut kernels do not taste good. The brand name is "Farmer Brand" "味香园- 咸干花生“ -正万里望花生。Please refer to the attached photo. You are advised not to buy it. If you do, you will waste your money and feel very disappointed.
This supermarket has all the things you want if you're a non vegetarian. From fresh supplies to the frozen ones, you just name it. Good variety of fruits and vegetables are there as well. It is a big place and never too crowdy. It also has other grocery items like housewares and kitchenware. Chinese and Japanese cuisine items are also here. Prices are good as compared to other stores.
I only ever go into this location in a pinch. I find I need to pay attention to expiration dates too much and find many of their items close to expiration- sometimes beyond.

I arrived in the early morning at this Walmart location. It’s always great to do the shopping at the first hour of opening because the shelves are always full. There are no empty shelves and the floor is well polished. Walmart is always a top notch retailer in the world and I always have high regards to its management. Highly recommended.
We absolutely love the Sri Lankan/South Indian food here. Their Breakfast Combo is affordable and very tasty. You get two dosas, 2 idly and a vada for around 5CAD which is amazing!
The sambar is pretty good with loads of veggies.
You also get a lot of other small tea time snacks here.

Small store with various south asian spices, snacks and other grocery items. I agree with most reviewers here in that they definitely have good quality meat. We got the goat meat from here and it tasted quite good. The staff are also friendly and service is nice. One con is it is definitely a tiny store so its harder to locate stuff and you might feel cramped up for a bit.

This is the cleanest asian supermarket in the area. Ambience is very nice. Your place where to get your everyday kitchen necessities. Only small comment are in the meat section crews, some of them are impatient and has to know that customers has to be served right. Try to be tolerant with them but if they went too far, just report to the supervisor. That is what I will do.Overall, 4 stars for them
Small Korean grocery store located downtown that has a variety of imported products and a small hot foods section. There is a large section for refrigerated vegetables and other products along the wall and in the middle area. Prices feel reasonable compared to its competitors.

Based on many years of experiences at H mart in different locations, their customer service level is lacking compared to the competitor, Galleria supermarket.
I emailed a customer service to express concern in the past, they never got back to me.
It is convinient to get essential Korean food items and sometimes they have good promos on items, therefore I would still shop here but that does not mean that I am happy about their quality or service.
Their prepared food/bakery items are okay, not that great. Produce is pretty fresh most of time tho.
The other day I picked up a vegetable croquette for a snack and found very excessive amount of oil ( about a table spoonful) sitting in the package. I purchased croquette from H mart many times before and it was never like this. I met with a manager so he could speak to the bakery department. My first visit to this location, well organized and clean store. Friendly staff on duty to serve you.

Visited Yours Food Mart in January of 2022 now that it is open. It is intensely bright inside! That lifted my mood stepping in from the darkness and cold of winter. And it's fun to shop here. The music is not your usual for a grocery. There is an interesting cross section of food items including impressively large amounts of hot sauces from Asia, Caribbean, India etc. There is also the biggest selection of chicharrons I have ever seen in a Chinese grocery. The fair values that I expect are also here for basic items. The tanks of fish look healthy in the seafood section which is a good sign, as is the overall neatness and cleanliness of the store. The split aisles make it easy to navigate the floor.
Housewares are found in the adjacent Best Living shop and it looks like the prepared foods will be found in the future at Nana Bakery. There's plenty of free parking in the huge parking lot and now this mall has both Yours and a Metro and having choices is good.
On my cash out the cashier was also handling customer service duties at a separate station which bogged things down, but other than that my first visit left me with a really positive impression of a grocery store serving the community at large and I will no doubt be picking up some groceries from here again in the future.

Discovered this Korean Store while walking to the nearby subway. Couldn’t help but go in and get lost in world of Korean food. I got a packed Kimchi Fried Rice but it wasn’t spicy at all. I want to believe that their fresh food tastes good. The red bean cake was just so-so.
Somewhat tidy but that's because it's just opened. The store offers not much different from any other Asian supermarket in the city. Its prices are high and even Metro (known for its high prices) in the same mall would giggle at how high they are. If you buy only one or two bananas, instead of the whole bunch, they will charge you more per pound! This place is definitely no replacement for Price Chopper :/

Meat department, good selection of meats and it was brightly lit and easy to view everything. The fridge section has packaged meats from chicken to pork and was priced reasonable. Vegetable & fruit departments I thought could have been larger to carry more fresh produce but it wasn't. This grocery store caters to Chinese and to other international countries like India and Caribbean (large selection of spices) and North American products (prices are bit higher). A large selection of snacks not focusing mainly on Chinese snacks so its very limited (disappointing). What's also disappointing was the little selection of instant noodles (No Nissin instant noodles).
You will realize after you walk around the aisles that things aren't really where they should be shelved and might just be put in there to fill in an empty spot. The freezers for the frozen seafood are not located in one area and you have to walk from one side of the store to the other to view
everything. I believe the layout was not thought out very well if they could, it should be corrected.

I always have great experiences at this location. Because it's almost Halloween, they sell a lot of super big pumpkins here. Especially if you want to accumulate Optimum points, just buy 10 pumpkins and you will have 2000pts. Not only that, here are super rare promotions if you want to buy candy for Halloween, you only need to pay half of the normal amount and get the same amount of candy. Especially this place sells very delicious cakes, many options. This is always my favorite place when I want to buy cake and bread and other cakes. Finally, here the space is clean, spacious, there are many discount offers.

Very convenient H-Mart location near Bloor Subway Station. Products are always fresh and they have a nice corner of ready-to-eat food! Very organized and always stocked by staff. Great pitstop for a quick snack. If you're interested in more hot food, also visit the location just north of Dundas Station as it has a food booth as well.
Never thought food will be so great. So tasty, fresh and staff is very friendly. If you are from South Asian country you would love this shop you will find all types of exotic food stuff including cookies as well. Lot of parking as well.

Typical Chinese Supermarket but most of the Asian goods are available. Fresh vegetables and fruits are available economically. If you are looking for different types of Fish, this is the place to go. Downside is you won't be able to get any help since nobody speaks English, you are on your own.
It is your go to place for asian snacks and drinks. As well, they have ready to eat foods as well or pre cooked meals that need heating up. The selection for korean banchans is awesome as well as fresh raw fish and kimbaps. They also have a huge selection of instant noodles. Good shop, nice staff.
Decent prices, horrible conditions inside. So many insects and bugs flying around. Some of their fresh produce is riddled with diseases and fungus, decaying away, not to mention the bugs.

OMGoodness. The 5 star reviews are fake!!!! Shame. I guess they have a ' Don't ever answer the phone' policy there. The worst produce I have ever seen at any store in any country I have been. Very small selection. Every time I visit there is always something I want to buy that has no price. Also no public bathroom!!??
