One of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. I hate to repeat spots but I’ve been here 5-10 times and get different dishes depending on the season/what’s available and every time has been fantastic.

It was a cold, rainy day. We had to sit outside. The good news is that they had overhead light heaters, and they provided free space blankets. Very hip with a cool vibe. Food was tasty.

Came early for dinner, was empty on a Saturday during happy hour but quickly filled up decently and the decor and service were excellent. The food overall was very good and the cocktails were excellent, the only issue was the oysters were a bit rough (sadly among the worst I’ve ever had).

Updated: hate to do it but don’t get the oysters - everyone in my dining party got food poisoning so that’s today for me

I had the chicken salad, it was great! Very fresh and filling! I would ask for extra lettuce because the additional toppings you can add plus the protein is a lot. The hot sauce is absolutely delicious too!

We had brunch here. I would give 2.5 stars. Why not anymore? The atmosphere was pleasant. But as soon as we sat down, it was noticeable how milky the glasses and cutlery were.
It took quite a long time before we could order. We had poached eggs (eggs in purgatory) and a brisket sandwich.
After a very, very long wait, the plates arrived. The poached eggs were so hard I had to give them back. On the second attempt, at least one egg was still liquid.

The meat in the sandwich was super dry. Think if the brisket was pulled and topped with a good sauce, the sandwich would be perfect.
The drinks were good.
In my opinion, there are better quality brunch places in Brooklyn.

Wow it’s been 2 weeks and I’m still thinking about this meal. We started with the halloumi which was our fav! The Brussels sprouts were delicious too. I had the braised chicken which was so tender and moist. I also loved the mashed potatoes that came with the chicken. The staff were amazing and service was speedy, friendly and I’ll definitely be back soon. We ate right before attending a concert at Irondale and it was a perfect start to our night!
food was p good but the staff asked if we were finished while we were eating and one guy was desperately upselling the mocktails and mimosas. i was having digestive issues from the food but maybe that’s just me :) very rich food. decor was cool

I went here to have dinner with my aunt. We both loved Olea. We came at the tail end of happy house and grabbed the house red. It was a good red unlike your typical house selection. I had the pumpkin soup with candied chickpeas and it was absolutely fantastic. Perfect meal for a cold winter day. My aunt had the filet of sole which she also loved. We also had sole “fish sticks” to kick off the meal which we peculiar but also very good. I would absolutely come pack. Great place for a date, a small birthday dinner, or just a night out with the Judys.

Nice and cozy interior, but we sat outside under one of the heated lamps. Servers were nice and friendly, food was good. They have one warm cocktail-a spiked apple cider that was good, as well as some hot teas. The trio of dips is great for sharing (the feta labneh is very feta forward, but in a good way), the patatas bravas was great, the fried halloumi I could do without (I prefer grilled and think you lose some of the texture once it’s fried). The brisket was a great main; slightly sweet and accompanied the Greek salad nicely. The pumpkin basque cheesecake had a nice texture and spice to it.

Sandwich Girl cafe in Park Slope is an absolute feast for the senses! Having savored their entire menu, including standouts like the Young Choppa, Vicky Velcro, Becky, Mac Momma, Brooklyn Goddess Burger, Emo Reenbow, Pita Latifa, Kiki, Luna, Egyptian Salad, Nightcrawler Taco, Pistachio Baklava, Nightcrawler, Almond Croissant, I can confidently affirm that every dish is a masterpiece. The flavors are a delightful explosion, and Shreen's culinary finesse shines in every bite.

A favorite spot for many and for good reason. The food is thoughtfully prepared and served. New takes on traditional ingredients. I especially appreciate the falafel encrusted artichoke appetizer. We ordered the Greek paella, perfectly portioned and prepared for two. The atmosphere is eclectic and relaxed, church pew seating, well rubbed bronze accents, Mediterranean tiling with weathered wood all combine for a delightful dinner. I’m never disappointed when I visit, and the staff are all wonderful.

Great food and a comfy atmosphere. Stopped by during the afternoon at happy hour and was presented with unique dishes that had great flavor. It gets a bit busy, but the service remains excellent. Their ingredients were fresh and local. Cocktails were well crafted. The raspberry sorbet ice cream was creamy and sweet!

What an amazing experience from the moment you walk in the service is personal . Our waiter was such a good means of giving suggestions. The dips were incredible we tried the humus, red pepper and you can’t go to a Mediterranean restaurant without some tzatziki all the breads were fresh and tasty. We also ordered the fried Brussel sprouts, dates wrapped in bacon, mussels and for me my absolute favorite was the split pea soup, different never had it quite like this but it was delicious even with a beets. I also ordered the Bronzino which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right As for my son he loved the brisket with mash. Espresso martini was a perfect dessert pairs with the sesame ice cream. And even though we were the last ones to sit on Christmas Eve they really treated us with so much poise, warm, it really felt as if we had gone to eat at a family members house. I will be back!

It was tasty. Service was good. Cute place. Mezze plate was nothing special. But it was cute in there. The drinks were like an espresso martini but it was w coffee & some spice. Good for light bites. For me
It felt like something was missing on the menu but they execute well w what they have on there.
The food are beyond delicious. And my son 5yrs old loves everything. I have to drag him out because he would love to stay there and eat everything. I really suggest everyone who reads this review to give it a try and then see for themselves. The place is so clean and the the environment is so comforting that you don’t think of leaving. The staff is so kind and friendly I love going there. I wish I live in the community to go there everyday. Thank you for such amazing place to enjoy your delicious food.

They were able to seat three of us on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation and it turned out to be an amazing brunch. The food was well seasoned, the burger was on point, it has a little spice to it and the chicken schnitzel sandwich was also well made. What was even better than the food were the views of manhattan bridge and the city. The lighting here is beautiful and the service was on point. All around great experience.

The place is really nice, with a wonderful view of the bridge. The food was also really good, and easy to share with our group of 5 people. We had the mezze platter and it was really tasty with warm pita bread. The roasted beet salad and cod croquettes were probably our favorite. Our wine and cocktails were also really good. Recommend going!

One of the coziest nooks in Brooklyn during the winter, and most refreshing patios during the summer. The menu changes just often enough to keep you interested, and the waitstaff treats everyone like family. 10/10 recommend any time they are open, and you are in Bushwick!

I never give reviews, but this place is criminally underrated. Only speaking on the food, as I only tasted the house wine so I don’t think that’d be a fair judgement. Our dinner was delicious. My boyfriend got the all-you-can-eat mussels, and they were SO good. And you can’t beat the price (if you’ve got a big enough appetite to indulge in at least two portions). We’re also pretty harsh critics of French fries, and their’s were great. Nothing to write home about, but exactly what you’d want when ordering fries at dinner. The broth the mussels are in is honestly chuggable on its own, but compliment the mussels so so well. I got the fish of the day (can’t remember what fish it was), but it was DELICIOUS. The full plate of flavors are honestly magical. So light but so satisfying. I think about it often. Service could have been a bit more engaged/pleasant, but everyone has off days and it’s not enough to knock it down a star. Go here. It’s vastly better than the other French spot nearby.

Great place with delicious food, especially fish. The owner of the restaurant is a great person and expert in this field for a long time. Highly recommended 👌
This restaurant is delicious. Right at the waterfront of the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO Brooklyn. Great views, exquisite drinks, flavorful foods and a great staff. Our waiter looked like Paul Rudd lol. Amazing time, have the Filet and Caesar salad. To die for. A proper Margarita! Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya!

Highly recommend coming here for brunch, there were four of us, without a reservation on a weekend. We were quickly seated.

The server was friendly and gave us time to make decisions all of our orders did happened to take a very long time to get to us so late in afternoon, they were all worth waiting for.

We ordered the mezze feast added a few sides and cocktails :) all in all 9/10 and the pickled cabbage I could bath in, I do wish they would include a zesty flavor in the mezze, everything was fresh and flavorful Halloumi, cabbage and beets were the stars.

The decor is so beautiful here well worth the quick trip to Greenpoint.

Ordered the Goddess Burger, Choppa sandwich and side salad. Salad was extremely fresh and food looks beautiful! I wasn’t a fan of the other two - but the owner went out of their way to provide a solution, which was kind of them. Glad others enjoyed the food - I think my taste buds are weird lol. The owner really cares about customers having a wonderful experience so this is one restaurant that’s definitely worth giving your business to!

Lighthouse BK is a Mediterranean restaurant in Brooklyn. They have a few tables outside and maybe 20 or so inside. The staff here are amazing, so friendly and helpful but also always around to get you what you need. They have a decent sized menu and prices arefair for the portions you get. The taste though is amazing. If you got a group, the mezze platter is perfect to try everything. Their steak is cooked extremely well, and their fish is fresh and delicious. Overall an amazing experience and the service couldn't have been better. Highly recommend making reservations at least a few days ahead of time.
I came here with my husband, we loved the atmosphere and candle lit table. The drinks were cute and had good options for both of us, they kindly comped us for the drinks because we waited 30 min for our reservation.

We ordered the Labneh which came with a flakey bread. Next time I will try the hummus or smoked Eggplant because the labeneh was okay, the flakey bread made up for it. I loved the grilled branzino would definitely have that again, however we were a little disappointed with the chicken was a little dry and but the crumble of what believe was pistachio and touch of lemon was creative.
Next time we will order a bunch of small plates instead and only one bigger main plate.

Loved this place overall! Will definitely be back for the small plates and atmosphere!

Thank you!

Pictured: chicken platter - $12, steak shawarma wrap - $11, zatar fries - $4, mango lassi & baklava shake

Taheni Mediterranean Grill recently opened up its third location in the Staten Island Mall Food Court. You can customize your entire meal by choosing the type of rice, hummus and sides you want in your platter or wrap. The chicken was a little dry but the rest of the platter was very flavorful. The steak wrap was delicious - especially with their garlic sauce. The zatar fries are a must! The mango lassi was a 10/10 - definitely preferred it over the baklava shake. The service was quick and they have Ziosks to make the ordering process even easier. Definitely check them out! 🌯

Great spot to grab drinks and small dishes with a few friends. We came here after a work day and though there wasn’t a happy hour, they had reasonably priced drinks. Everything was delicious and some of the small plates (like the assorted dips) really stood out. Would recommend if you’re looking for a spot to catch up with a few friends or family!

I always order Kiki(blew my mind every time), but today I ordered Vicky Velcro for breakfast.
It was the best burrito I've ever had. I love the restaurant's atmosphere and the relaxing outdoor seating. Not only sandwiches but also fresh lemonade and baklava are great!!

This place is amazing! Our overall experience was great. Delicious food, great service and very relaxing atmosphere and stunning view, you can start outside and then just finish your dinner with a cup of coffee inside with Brooklyn Bridge view ! No loud music, and tables are arranged in the way that you have your private space and others' talks don't bother you! Will be definitely one pot our favorite spots in New York! Thank you!
best Uzbek food. Superior berry kompot.
Halal food that is super delicious. Hard to find chicken kebabs cooked the way they do. Enjoyed everything we ordered. Tried all the kebabs and the pulao.

Solid French spot tucked away in Bushwick! Went for Brunch, so can’t speak for their dinner- but was better than I expected! Got the chorizo eggs dish, which was like a Benedict with slices of chorizo on top of potato latkes, with perfectly poached eggs on top. It tasted good, but I don’t think it has to be $20. Same for the chickpea fries-very good-tad salty-but shouldn’t be $9. So that’s why Le Garage gets 4 stars- solid food but nothing crazy amazing and pricey.

Food 6/10
Extremely salty, way too overpowering flavors in most of the dishes that just did not sit well together. The only thing I liked about this meal was the yams. The labneh was not bad, but both the baklava and cheesecake were excessively sweet, and the dips were pure salt. Quite an unfortunate experience.

Atmosphere 6/10
The air conditioning was so weak that we were sweating and felt so sticky throughout the entire meal. My skin felt so sticky and uncomfortable.

Service 6/10
Quite slow, laissez-faire hipster vibes.

The actual restaurant was great, decor, furniture went well and had a certain vibe to it. Service was good, attentive and prompt. However, the food was subpar. Their apps were decent and had some interesting flavors, their entrees seemed a bit lacking in presentation and taste. I got the mushroom farro and it had a very strong taste of umami, soy sauce and peanut butter, it was a bit too salty for me. However, their apps were good, hummus, beet salad was great and their corn dish.

We ordered angus burger and chicken tenders, burgers were decent and we enjoyed it. However the chicken tenders were so badly charred burned, then we showed them what they gave us, they offered us to order something else instead. So we ordered eggplants, and they were also nearly burned and full of grease. And oil had the sour taste to it, i guess it is due for them to change the oil. I was disappointed that they dont care what they serving to people in exchange for their money.
Giving them a higher star bc burger was better

Never disappoints. What other sandwich spot is 5 stars? They’re on ChowNow so it’s easy to order in advance. My only complaint is they sometimes go a little crazy on the onions. BEC is A++.
Delicious sandwiches. Very creative. Great bread. Small spot but a lot of outdoor seating. Coffees and iced teas as well and all day breakfast menu. I had the chikagirl - so good

I was the last customer of the day today and the proprietor was so friendly and cheerful. I am happy they agreed to make one more sandwich because DAMN! It was delicious and I have had a lot of crispy chicken sandwiches. If you’re in park slope hit up sandwich girl cafe for a BB with garlic aoli

Decent food quality- not authentic lamb meat, uses the same lamb meat as halal carts, but nothing spectacular about the lamb wrap. Alot of Arab delis do the same.
There were flies in the restaurant that were attacking me unfortunately. They don't pick up phones and don't take your order, you go to a computer screen. So that's why all together 3 stars given for customer service not being there.
Phenomenal! Rarely do you find a cafe which innovates traditional foods in such a way, that it feels like you’ve made a cuisine discovery, well I made mine with the Tova. It’s not your abuleitas sandwich, it a blend of refined flavors to satisfy even the most trained pallet. A great option for someone who wants to try something different (:
Love this restaurant, and every time I am in Brooklyn, I drop there for lunch. The food there is great, Pilaf, lagman and kebabs are fantastic. The price is surprisingly reasonable for such quality. Definitely recommend it to those who love Central Asian Kitchen.

One of the best brunches in Greenpoint, hands down! Get the Mezze it’s perfect to split with 2-3 people. Ours came with falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, labneh, pickled cabbage, beets, and pita.

I got the iced coffee which was perfect. It was on the small side and no free refills, but delicious.

The waitstaff is all very nice and attentive, but not pushy.

We went with a couple of friends and their 7 month old baby. There were families there with their babies and children, too.

Overall a lovely dining experience, we tried the steak salad and grilled market fish. Both were delicious, though I wish there hadn’t been so much sauce on the fish because the fish on its own was already beautifully cooked and seasoned without needing all the extra sauce. Fries were impeccable (the ketchup was a slay). Service staff were also amazing and attentive throughout!

Great food with multiple options to share, dips and delicious sourdough bread. Service was kind and fast. The space is cool but the acoustic is not that great so it gets loud. Would definitely come back to try other dishes from the menu

The food was phenomenal!!! & of course the view was amazing! Everything we ordered we enjoyed, including dessert. Would definitely recommend the Olive Oil cake. Was a surprising delight. The drinks were also fabulous. And, everything was reasonably priced.

One thing that did bother me because I’m such a germophobe, where that the utensils were left on the table that had not been thoroughly wiped down in a while(there were noticeable cup rings). I did request a glass of hot water but I never received it. Other than that, great experience.

My favorite neighborhood French brassiere. Today I had the unlimited mussels with potatoes and a glass of white wine. The mussels were delicious and the bread was a great combo to soak up all of the juices the mussels were cooked in. The potatoes were prepared amazingly with a nice crunch. The crème brûlée was just the perfect amount of sweet, without feeling guilty for consuming!

Definitely a recommend if your in the neighborhood and looking for a great value meal.

Brunch on the weekend is also great and worth a trip.
We ordered burger and shakshouka. They’re good! But the burger beef is a bit cool (probably because the burger is waiting for shakshouka to be served at the same time). Service is ok. Decoration is not bad. Not busy in Sunday afternoon (winter)z
Food was tasty. Service is great. Drinks are unique. Dessert (cake) wasn’t good 😌.
We ordered foie gras, butternut squash soup, prefix menu, mushroom with polenta, fish of the day (bass), Iron Lady drink. I would recommend everything except the cake! Overall a nice restaurant!

We have to talk about their sauces because no one’s really mentioned it yet which I feel is a cardinal sin because their Shattah sauce is a tiny little container of PERFECTION.

Seriously they need to find a distributor and bottle it up, because I’d be first in line at the grocery store. Or even just sell bottles of it. It’s so good there are times I’ve gotten food elsewhere but will do an entire order of just that darn sauce because nothing else compares. Buffalo who? Sriracha where? A1 what?? I’m officially ruined for life because I don’t know how my tastebuds will survive in the future without it. Beware it’s spicy (I have high spice tolerance so to me it’s just a slight kick). TMG & Taheni Sauces are also mouthwateringly delicious. But garlic sauce I wasn’t a fan of.

Zaatar fries are fantastic, though their shawarma fries are my go-to. Deliciously crispy and more filling since it’s topped with chicken and tons of that delicious TMG sauce.

For the wraps, I’ve had better in my life, but these are quite solid. Probably second best I’ve had in the neighborhood (best by a mile is Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab, and is so good you might actually cry - so very hard to beat). Chicken option is good, though I do find it doesn’t have much seasoning on its own and is definitely helped by sauces. Gyro option is great, though you can tell its not high quality meat - kinda has that common mystery meat texture. Great flavor though! Steak…not so no good - meat was pretty unseasoned and relied heavily on the sauces & fillings for flavor. Not worth it given the higher cost. I’d go for gyro if you want beef. Same applies to the platters.

Their TMG Chicken sandwich is nice but I kinda wish it had an option for a regular bun, as the cheese pita is a cool idea but a bit too heart attack inducing. Same with the Halloumi fries - would be nice to have a basic grilled option with no breading & deep frying.

5 stars for food, 3 stars for delivery/takeout as they deliver fast but are very unresponsive. Have called on different occasions and no one’s ever picked up. Have also added order notes (like asking the halloumi cheese not be fried) that go ignored. Hopefully that improves.

Absolutely fantastic experience, 11/10 would recommend. Went with 5 people and a reservation, seated immediately, had drinks and food. The chicken and tartare were standouts to me, but all the food is good. I love olives, but I didn't know how much I liked fried olives. Turns out - I love fries olives. If you are in Greenpoint, go here
2nd visit to Williamsburg Hotel. This time we stayed. Went to the Candlelight concert tribute to Amy Winehouse, excellent. Lunch at the bar tuna tartar and the Williamsburg burger with Truffle fries, very good. Staff is friendly. WC doors dont stay closed in our bathroom.
Terrace of our room was nice. Rooftop bar at sunset was amazing. There is a pool of you want to pay for seating , it is a little high. Majority is the under 40 crowd. Dj music .

The food and service are pretty good but the prices are pretty steep considering the small portions offered here. It is a nice place to eat, however be advised that the menu prices are somewhat outdated so the final bill will most likely be significantly higher than the prices on the menu. There's also a service charge added to the final bill. Put it this way, whatever you'll spend at Outback to feed four people, you'll spend more or less the same amount to feed two people here.

One advice I would give is to avoid the Jiz Biz. On the menu it's priced at $19.99 however I was charged $35 for it. The protein size was very small considering the price. It was pretty much full of fries and salad topped with red onions with a side of meat. A better alternative is to get the Mix Grill which is about $24.99 even though it's priced a bit less on the menu.

Nevertheless the food was tasty and we definitely enjoyed it. They cook the food from scratch so there is a wait time here. We'd have to think twice before bringing our friends or relatives here especially if we are the ones paying for them.
Great restaurant with very nice atmosphere and ambience. I had a great time here. Service and staff were great. The food was delicious and the my espresso martini was amazing. Loved going to the rooftop afterwards enjoying music and views of NYC. Highly recommend.
Service, attention, presentation were all great. Juan our waiter was very good. Drinks were pretty good as well. Food was just ok...except for the octopus on the flat bread as appetizer that was really good. The view from the roof top is one of the BEST. Vibe, music, service and over all ambiance was great at the roof top. Would recommend and will be back for more.
Wait staff were really friendly, and the food was pretty good. We did the high tea deal, which was really fun and filling. Great decor and live jazz.

That said, there was a mandatory service charge and built in gratuity that totaled 40% of the bill - $30.00 tax, tip and service charge on a $60 experience is too steep.

Amazing brunch at lighthouse! East-going vibes inside with AC and good fans for summer. Everybody who works there is so kind, and you don’t need reservations weeks in advance to get in. I’m excited to try it for dinner!

I highly recommend the Bloody Mary. I always get a Bloody Mary at brunch and can confidently say this was one of my favorites ever. So high quality. The iced coffee was delish too.

For food, we started with some oysters, which were all SO fresh. Extra points for a smart approach to mignonette sauce: they put it in a dropper bottle! I also loved the eggplant labneh and olives from the mezze part of the menu.

The heirloom tomato starter with feta is so perfectly seasoned with spices and olive oil - loved this!

For entrees, we split the chilaquiles and the green omelette. Both were fantastic. The chilaquiles were especially good for sharing given how many chips it’s served with.

The omelette was so simple and yet one of the most flavorful omelettes I’ve ever had. The Smokey tahini that comes with the omelette is an especially great touch!

My Husband I have decided to embark on tasting the worlds foods starting with Uzbekistan. I can tell you we were not at all disappointed. We had the Plov combo that comes with Non , salad and green tea. The Green tea was a little light but beyond that everything was amazing. The place was very clean, waiter was amazing, the decor was stunning. That plov was A-Maz-ing. Meat so tender rice to die for and those carrots yum yum. The fresh salad was great with some of the infused vinegar. I could not have asked for a better first time experience. Thanks Taj Kebab we will be back with friends and family.

2023 update: there was something wrong with all of our food orders. Everything was fine, but nothing was spectacular.

Service was slow.

2021: decent

Very delicious food and sweets. As a fan of Pakistani "Yakhni Pulao" I really wanted to try "Uzbek Plov" and trust me, I didn't get disappointed. Carrots on the top are not too sweet, but they are simmered in full savory flavor of Plov.

In Grill section I took mixed grill so I could have a chance to taste every thing! Meat is tender not chewy and full of flavor.

Highly recommended for family gatherings.

The falafel tastes so fresh. I had the wrap and dined in. They bring your food to the table. My partner had the steak platter. The woman working the front desk was kind and answered many of our questions since I'm vegan. The cool thing about this place is ordering food on the kiosk.

Casual, no pressure to turn the table. Food was good. We sat at the bar and ordered dinner there. The homemade sourdough was amazing. Started w the hummus, which was deconstructed, but good, all of it was fresh, but I was not expecting to have to mash it up myself. Wish I had a blender. I got the chicken sandwich which was excellent. My friends got the fish of the day and a cheese burger. Both enjoyed immensely. I would go back and would recommend to friends.

Nice designed venue but not the best tasting food. In fact, I had to add salt, pepper and hot sauce to my eggs. I ordered a side of bacon that was more like beef jerky due to its stiffness. I wouldn’t go back. Etsy (might be misspelling her name) was probably the highlight of my experience. She was very attentive and a lot more helpful than our actual waitress..

Pretty decent price, but it is nothing fancy either. The atmosphere is pretty relax, seats are a little tight but not over crowded. The service are excellent. However, the food and drinks are just ok. 2 out of 4 cocktails are pre-made and bottled from a local cocktail place, but the best of the 4 is actually one of the pre-made. The fried paniess were just soggy, and doughy. There’s not special about foie gras, and I feel like they just throw in 2 slices of bread and called it a dish. The hanger steak is really good tho, perfectly cooked and season, it’s the only thing that I will recommend. The duck breast has crispy skin and good flavor but it is too chewy for my taste and gave my jaw muscle too much of a work out. The ravioli is pretty good but it’s less than warm when they bring it to the table.

Woooooooooah daddy! This place is awesome. Definitely one of the best shawarma wraps I’ve ever had. It’s super clean and the staff is really nice. Prices are very fair especially for this area. No complaints here. I highly recommend it!
