The food portions have shrunk in size over the years so you are now getting less for your money. Food was delicious and service was good.
The food was simply delicious. Service was interesting at times but the food was so good the service could have been non existent. 😂😂😂 definitely going back again.
We had a booking for 13 people and were given a table with 6 chairs… luckily when we arrived the table next to it was also free so we could have an appropriate amount of space.
We did go on a Saturday when the DJ was playing so unfortunately it was very hard to carry a conversation with anyone.

This is a really cute place with great food and wine choices. T bone steaks were cooked well with lots of sides and app choices. They encourage you not to use your phone though, even taking it and locking it away for you, to encourage being present in your experience I think; some people like that, but I hated it. They let me hold onto mind, just didn't want me to use it in the restaurant.
Great experience and place to eat if you love a good steak. It’s t-bone style but the portion is huge for a great price. Had the gnocchi and pecorino with truffle honey to start, was tasty. The side we ordered for the steak was the eggplant Parmesan and it was my personal favorite. Love the concept of phones away from the table and the atmosphere in the restaurant is incredible!
I went to Taylor's rooftop on a Thursday night. Nice venue with enough seating. A pity the music was too loud and you have to shout at each other.
We had a great time at Gin lane bar! The staffs were very friendly and helped us pick out some amazing drinks. The cocktail experience was so unique and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic time, and we highly recommend it.
A super Valentine’s Day menu of 6 courses to share was really nice. Service was lovely and food was delicious! Love being here for the cozy atmosphere too!

This is definitely the first time my cocktail has come complete with the sounds of the ocean on an iPod shuffle, an spritz of ocean spray and a conch shell, we absolutely loved it!
This is definitely an experience for the senses, and the addition of sound and smell with the cocktails really was the cherry on top and nothing I’ve ever experienced before.
I won’t ruin the surprise, but you NEED to order the fire starter 🔥
This is a great spot for a fun night out and definitely somewhere I’ll be returning to!

Easy to get last minute noon reservations for lunch time. Their bread and butter was unique, a candle melts the butter. They say phones are not allowed because they want you to enjoy the foodand you're supposed to put it in a box so all these other reviewers with food pictures are breaking rules 😤 They slice the t bone steaks and cook it close to all the tables so you can see them at work which was cool. Got our steak medium rare and it was amazing. Best Florentine style steak I've ever had. Since the cuts are thick, they're harder to cook correctly and are generally more on the rare side so bravo to Bistecca. Highly recommended for a good t bone steak

Like a lot of other steak houses in Sydney they ask you to give them your phone, so you won’t see pictures on reviews here.great steak cut to your preference of size. Super high quality, professional service. Nice twist with the dipping butter for the bread that comes in the form of the candle and his wax melting is your bread add on:)

Reluctant to give this place a good review in fear of some hipsters buying it and destroying it, as they do with most good pubs in Sydney...

Nice rooftop environment, friendly staff. More beers should be included in the happy hour, otherwise be prepared to pay $15 on a pint. Only Carlton and Hahn are included in the happy hour.
So nice and unique cocktail bar. The staff was so friendly and took time to show me all the cocktails served with no ice. We got 2 tasty cocktails served in very memorable way. You should come and experience yourself as the experience will come with smoke, scents and great vision.

They have buckhunter (mates favourite), pool table, car racing...and others.

Amazing! Been here a number of times and the food is always great and the service is amazing. We went to the bottomless brunch on Sunday and it was fantastic. The food, drinks and service are well worth it! Special thank you to Brandon who went above and beyond! We will be back.
Come to this place if you want a step above your normal “drinks” night. Every cocktail is an experience - some even coming with music, incense, and more for an entire sensory experience. Highly recommend for cocktail lovers!
My daughter celebrated her 18th at 3 Doors Down. They were incredibly diligent in all aspects of our requests and could not do enough to help make her special night - one to remember. Thank you Team - you were awesome!!

The cocktails were delicious! The customer service was amazing by all staff, friendly and efficient. We ordered chips and the chicken wings, both quick and delicious. Music and ambience was good, not too loud. We had perfect weather as it was a rooftop bar. I booked this venue because we have been there a few times and I liked the fact that I could book a table online as most venues were only accepting walk ins on Thursday due to the Australia Day long weekend. Overall, great venue!

I came with my wife for some happy hour drinks and pizza on Thursday. The republic pizza was delicious! Special thanks to the security who found us a table out the front while we waited inside with it being so busy.
Awesome bar in terms of music and atmosphere. Very cool 💯 A little pricey though. A round of three drinks; a canned beer, a glass of sparkling wine and a dry martini, cost $63.00. We were all pretty surprised at this. Also, the martini was not great, not nearly dry enough. I'm not sure what gin was used, but it certainly wasn't in the expected London style.

We were so full and satisfied by the end.

Pub grub was okay and the service was pretty good but a bit slow, but the place was packed. If you’re up the on one of the open areas on a hot day take a little fan with you as it was really hot and the fans they had weren’t cutting it. Otherwise they had cool music and was a lot of fun

The beef was $180 a kilo. To make it sound better the menu says $18 per 100g. Their website doesn't say it's dry aged, for that price it should be dry aged. A Bistecca in Singapore dry ages. Sadly, the only photo that I can show you is the front door which is a fire escape. Inside they took my phone away. It was stressful and controlling. I felt like a sheep being rushed through service, I was first herded to the bar to order drinks and then led to the restaurant table. I felt coerced because even though they don't explicitly make it mandatory I felt pressured. I couldn't take photos of the food or have selfies with friends (one of their gimmicks). I believe a restaurant should trust it's customers and be confident with people taking photos of the food, but alas there are only the glossy manicured photos on their website. The bread dipped in beef candle wax was gimmicky. Gimmicky accurately describes this place. I read on their website afterwards that they only do the steaks medium rare, but I recall the waiter giving options and then glossed over to medium rare. I didn't feel that I had a real choice. The beef was left to rest but I didn't like getting warm meat, I like the meat hot. I felt like I was in a garish hyper Italian restaurant theme park "experience". I wasn't there for an "experience", I was there for a business lunch, which meant it wasn't realistic for me to leave to find somewhere else. I didn't choose the venue and having experienced it I won't return. The gimmicks wore off very quickly. Even the fire escape entrance was gimmicky. Plus the steak being the star of the show didn't have a nice wood fire grill taste even though it was grilled in their open kitchen in full view. I guess I wasn't happy with the "experience" so it affected my appreciation of the food.
The atmosphere was great, shame about the rude red haired bartender who showed no sign of customer service !! Please think about doing some rehiring ! From the reviews I’ve now read it seems I am not the first one to experience the bad service!
Have been trying to get a sitting at Bistecca for quite some time now and our first dining experience last night did not disappoint! You’ve lived up to to all the hype and we will certainly come back for more! Thanks to all the wonderful staff for creating such a great experience.

Located near Wynyard station, this is an amazing quiet spot for a special dinner. They only serve T-bone steaks but they are amazingly done. You can also order sides and all tasted great. Service and venue was also great (they also make you put your phones away in a draw while eating). One call out is that you need to book a few weeks in advance before you go. Recommended.
Had dinner there tonight, we were the first customers and were for about 15 minutes. Nobody asked us for our drink orders, when we asked the young wait staff for a drinks menu we were met with “scan the bar code”Ordered drinks, beer in a can was bought to the table with an empty glass to pour yourself, ordered a starter (Haloumi chips) highly recommended, gave our order for mains, 1 meal came out, 15 minutes later still had no 2nd meal, we had to ask where the 2nd meal was and was met with “I’ll check”, never came back to us to advise how long, meal came out 2 minutes later. Customer service was mediocre at best. Couldn’t wait to leave, greatly disappointed.

I came to Gin Lane with my boyfriend last night and we had a great experience at this bar! The waitress was lovely and helped us choose exactly what we were looking for. The presentation of the cocktails was also super cool. Overall great experience!
The food was nice, but very over priced! The service was terrible! No beers on tap available, the cocktail ordered could not be made because they did not have all of the ingredients. It was terrible! If you don't have things available, make sure you tell people straight away. We waited so long to just get drinks until the person who was game enough to tell us the drink wasn't available. I won't go back!!
People at the bar where great, howver petty bouncer with nothing else to do... really trying get onour nerves with no reason, to the point he said I was not welcome. Very disgusting individual. This was on 24 Nov 2023. Would avoid just that individual.

If you love pinball or just want to get your arcade fix, I could not recommend Beercade highly enough. It has the largest collection of playable pinball machines in NSW, and the owners take amazing care of the machines. I've visited regularly since it opened and I always have a blast.

We were with friends & just happened to be walking past this venue last Friday , so glad we decideded to pop in after hearing the Piano man from the outside. We had one of the best nights out , listening to some great songs performed by a very talented entertainer. We danced all night surrounded by friendly faces . Staff were amazing too. We'll be back for sure . 😊
Food was average ,service has been hit and miss,depending on personal waitress. We tend to have table service when we book a night there, all in all a great experience. NOTE music can be selective,its best you look at the theme for the night as the music may not meet everyone's taste. Crowd is good ,but on the older side, my experience has been positive every time.
We had dinner in this place and it was super delicious. I had pasta with cheese and veggies and I was a bit worried it might be bland. Actually it was the tastiest ever. My husband had oysters, squid and veal pasta. All were very good. The vibes were also very nice for a romantic dinner, with dimmed lights and nice staff. Definitely recommend!

I went there last Friday with a few of my buddies to check the place out after seeing all of the amazing reviews, and let's just say we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very comfortable. And don't get me started on the staff. A young boy named Romeo was waiting our table and he was very friendly and welcoming. He delivered our food to us quickly and didn't fail to put a smile on our faces.
Went down with a mate the other day. Really good spot. Right next to the train station, which makes it that much easier to get to. Lots of drinks to pick from and good coin bundles (Buy 20 get 2 free etc). Only complaint was the ventilation. Needs a couple more fans or something cause it gets really hot in there

Ordered some bar snacks and the food never came. After 45 minutes waiting we asked about where our food was and the bar staff said they would check on it, but never followed up. We then reapproached again after 1hr and 5 minutes since we first ordered and there was still no update with the staff looking confused. Obviously no one checked on it. We were told that there was some “system error” and that there was no ETA and we would not be made priority because the kitchen was busy. Absolutely ridiculous service with rude waitresses and not acceptable! Not what you’d expect in a 5 star hotel. We will never come back again.

We were served by Brandon, who was quite rude. He seemed like he was having a bad night. I wouldnt come back here, plenty of more friendly places close by.

Great place for a Bento Box and beer lunch special for $15. Choice of protein (karage chicken, crispy pork or squid) with two other choices (Gyozas, coconut rice, Asian salad or fries) and any beer on tap. Great value!
Cocktails were great and the bar tenders seemed to know their craft. It was a quiet night and we enjoyed the ambience on the outdoor terrace area. BUT we ordered a pizza ($27) and it was literally a microwaved frozen pizza. Disgusting.

If you’re going to serve food using a microwave/ deep fryer only, then choose more suitable items to put on the menu. The arancini were at least tasty.

Fancy looking but not classy. Every single wine glass had lipstick marks on it. "Bowl of salted cashews" looked like a cheap Coles own brand bag of mixed nuts. Overpriced and disappointing.
Amazing service. I have a gluten allergy (celiac) and they made sure to prep everything separately for me. We were a big group and the service was immaculate! The food was amazing.
We visited twice during a longer stay in Sydney. Initially we happened in due to a wait at another nearby spot but Brandon, the bartender, was so hospitable and warm - not to mention knowledgeable and skilled - that we fell in love with the place. Can’t recommend the cocktails, oyster special, and small plates enough. And everyone there was incredibly welcoming and pleasant. We had a blast and can’t wait for our next trip to Sydney so we can return.

What a great place. Ella's hospitality and her team's service was outstanding. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and our group had the best night dancing and singing along with the piano man. Thank you

The concept is nice, the bar has different games but the games are expensive and short. 2$ per person for 1 game which is less than 2 mins is a bit fast burn money. I prefer the concept of another bar in Brisbane where the priority is more on the drinks, therefore the game is 1$ and easy mode for 2 players, so we can play longer all evening, enjoy more the games and of course drink more. 1 game costs 1$ for 2 ppl instead of 4$ as here. Due to the cost and duration, we didn't stay long. Woulf be nice if we hv more multiplayers games

Quiet little corner joint. Good specials. Tasty food. Great selection of wine too. Loved popping in and finding a gem. Definitely on the must try list in the trendy part of Sydney near Chinatown.
My partner and I just celebrated our engagement party at There There bar and it worth every star! It was such an incredible night! Lachlan and the team managed everything from start to finish: planning the event; the event itself; and everything in between! It meant that we could just enjoy the whole experience, stress free! The food was amazing, the DJ had us on the dance floor all night and the cocktails were delicious!

Had lunch at Taylor’s Rooftop during the week with work friends. The setting is really nice with a summery, light ambience. The food is reasonably priced for what it is - standard pub lunch fare. The quality was ok, not great. My nachos were nice, however a friend ordered the fried chicken burger and had to send back the side of chips as they came out cold. Maybe skip the food and focus on drinks with friends.
Have been a regular for several years, I cannot fault the venue in any sense of the word…. Bartenders are full of character and highly knowledgeable (will spit in drink if you ask), and the security are some of the best (incredibly in touch with their patrons)
Didn't expect a wine room would have such lovely food!! They should probably make it a restaurant. We were really happy with the wine we selected, there are many options. The service was superb, the staff were very attentive, they knew exactly what we needed and when we needed something.

Dined here mid Feb. Wanted to try their bottomless brunch however there was a minimum of 4 people so just opted to get a few things.
Our table was initially inside however the the tables inside were so loud that we couldn’t even hear our table talking. Thankfully we were switch tables to outside which felt much more relaxed & more easy for the ear.

Nice place to hang out. Prior entry ID and covid certificate will be checked. $10 for entrance. The open hours in Google is not updated, we nearly got to somewhere else because the google says it's closed, but apparently they're open.

One of my favourite places for coffee in Surry Hills, consistent quality and flavourful. If you are having your drink there, the cups are also really nice.
We went here to celebrate a wedding with our family, the venue was fun and quirky. The spring rolls we had were delicious, the staff seemed really friendly. We liked that there was seltzer on tap! The cola wasn't very nice, seemed like off brand to me... So I just got lemonade. I did get given a chipped glass and so did my relatives, and the tables were wobbling. Overall it was a good and fun venue and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the event just a few minor let downs and there's not much parking around.
We went just to have a drink before our booking at THe GLASS and was the best decision we could have taken! I recommend this place 100% for a drink whilst enjoying a nice city view!

Unbelievably good service and vibes. We stopped for a drink after work and couldn't leave. Both the wine and food that were suggested by the staff were a perfect match.
Very modern dining room with warm and attentive service. Starting with the bread, everything was well above expectations,the oysters were very fresh and the crumbed prawns were cooked perfectly (the pictures don't do it justice). We each had steak with truffle sauce and the steaks were cooked perfectly but the truffle lacked smell. Loved the mushy peas and chips. Wines were fairly priced and we were too full for dessert...
Sitting here on a Monday afternoon enjoying a smooth, tasty cup of coffee and having a chat with the bloke working - super chill and enjoyable experience. Lovely open shopfront that lets in the breeze as well as plenty of natural light. Great little find in Surry Hills

These guys nailed it. Spectacular coffee. They have Little Marrionette coffee. Some nice filter options also. The latte art is pretty damn fine. The coffee was also very tasty. There are some nice treats available in the fridge and some pastries and jaffles that are pretty rad. The fit out is very slick also. Good place to sit out the front for a meeting or just chill with your coffee. I always appreciate a good sound system in a cafe also. Nice work. I reccomend .
Lost my money looking for a feature on a few of the 14 pokies machines. Paid a bit too much for a couple of beers but credits for the fact I could have a ciggy inside. Not a lot of places left I can do that these days. The red vinyl chairs remind me of a swinger club I was once in. Probably won't return.
Ace little spot with friendly staff and a great atmosphere - went on a Friday night for happy hour burgers and pots. Was ecstatic when the gluten free option was also part of the happy hour deal! That never happens elsewhere. You guys made me so happy!
I accidentally left my IPhone there on Thursday night and only realized a couple of hours later, I was pleasantly surprised that they had saved it for me and I came back and picked it up. Thanks Sami and team luar biasa 🙏
