Dark and depressing. I went in expecting a good cup of coffee, and they couldn't even provide that. 'House Blend' was all they had, and it amounted to a cup of weak diner coffee, not something that a coffee specialty location should ever serve. What has sucked the life out this establishment, that comes across as more an employment agency feel? People. People make the difference. Their staff were as dull as the product, day dreaming off into their phones while on the job. I'll avoid this at all costs moving forward, and recommend others do so as well.

I ordered a cake on Uber for my moms birthday, but it was nothing like the image on their website. Gave them a call and they kindly offered to exchanged for the design I was hoping for. Thank you Karen and the team for helping me out!

A good cafe to grab a quick bite or to sit and linger with a friend. It can get crowded so plan accordingly. I liked that all the ingredients are listed, along with the caloric measurements. Helps people who are keeping a close watch on their diet in choosing an item from the menu.

quality has really declined post-covid. presentation of my food was terrible.. piece of bacon and scram eggs kinda just unceremoniously placed on my plate . my friend ordered a croissant sandwich. croissant was not crisp/flaky. way overpriced for small portions as well. sorry. .
Don't go here, this place provides very unfriendly service, You can easily find a bakery with better service in Monkland.
If you’re looking for a bakery with ALL of the yummy pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth, check them out!! Plus their prices are reasonable. Definitely a must go to when I’m in Niagara!

I never give bad reviews, but this time I unfortunately just have to. The place is pretty, the products fine and the location amazing, but the service we received was awful. The cashier didn‘t greet us, was standing right in front of us without talking and just being on his phone for about a minute, very slowly took our order in a disinterested demeanor while continuing to text, didn‘t say a word after payment and left even though there was a line behind us. He stood in a corner, still on his phone, not giving a single look to what was going in the café. The barista also wasn‘t too engaging, was fairly slow and didn‘t do the drinks in order since the people who ordered after us got their drinks first. I hope they just had a bad day but it didn‘t seem that way.

Excellent friendly service. I was visiting Vancouver for vacation, and went to this cafe for breakfast everyday during my week long vacation, due to the friendliness of the staff and delicious food. Their truffle mushroom wrap and the ham & cheese croissant were delicious. They also made my chai latte extra strong when requested, exactly to the way I like it. Thank you for the great service.

I have been eating croissants from crust for years. They have a flakey, crunchy outside and a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth inside. Yet today, I had the saddest croissant from the uptown location. It was flat, stale, dry, and tasted like your average thrifty/saveonfoods/costco croissant that had been left out for a day already. There was no way that this was a true crust croissant, let alone worth $4 for one.

I am a loyal crust bakery fan and have been eating your croissants since the $2.75 days. Hopefully this is a one off and I'll be heading to the fort st location next time.

I love ham and provolone cheese pastry. While the shop, pastries, and the area is so sexy and inviting, I don't give a 5 star since they can do better with their coffee.

This is our first time ordering Uber takeout from you. For the prices you command, it doesn't feel like the quality is there. For a $17.45 crepe, I would hope that packaging would be better so that half of the crepe doesn't stick to the paper that it was housed in. It literally fell apart. The fruit cup it came with wasn't the freshest either (many grapes were uncomfortably soft). The sandwiches and pistachio chocolate croissant seemed to be fine but the crepe/fruit part made a mediocre impression for a $48 breakfast.

Went by this afternoon to check out the one on Hornby. Paid over seven dollars for a large latte. Seems like it’s turned into another tourist trap coffee shop. Apathetic, ESL staff, dirty dishes on most of the tables, bland food and Mediocre coffee. They had a promotion for a complementary croissant with a latte, the croissant was a plain day old bakery item about as tasteful as the cardboard box it came in. This used to be a great coffee shop but now it seems like another business that didn’t recover its service after Covid

I went to Artigiano this morning to grab a coffee and food. When I leave from the entrance, there was a caretaker blowing the street leaves and dust all over me, including my coffee and food. I hope that there could be improvement from the property management to provide clear guidance to their staff not to blow the dust toward customer or any entrance of these coffee shops. located in their building. It is common sense.

Whenever I come to Niagara on the lake , I leave the dessert in any restaurant and come here for dessert instead . A small place with one product , but has all what it takes to make you sugar satisfied.. not your ordinary fritter , it is an upscale fritter stuffed with apples and covered with a sauce of your choosing . Absolutely love it.
Today - I bought two *flavourless* almond croissants 🥐🥐. Those at Croissant Monkland are bigger and sooooo much tastier... Then, I bought a small walnut sourdough loaf of bread, thinking it would cost me at the most $4.50. Not so! It was priced at ** $6.25 **. Conclusion : This place is snooty, and rips you off shamelessly. If you have some self-respect, just walk passed it. Shamelessly.

Great ambiance at this cafe. Quiet during the week days. Can be very lively and busy once cruise season hits in the summer with lots of tourist. Super busy on the weekends. Coffee here unfortunately was very watered and gross. We ordered two cappuccinos and they were watery and bitter. Bathroom is available without key required.
The food is exquisite, from the bread products and pastries (patisserie here is not cheap) to the amazing lobster roll (guédille au homard) on offer right now. It rivals many we’ve had in lobster country. Perfectly seasoned with a sprinkle of paprika for a subtle kick. Service on the other hand is not so exquisite. Several young servers meandering behind the counter without much of a clue who’s next, who’s being served, who should be where along the long counter. Had to add money to the meter for a “quick” in and out. A number system might be helpful.
The coffee is average but the cakes are on another level of tasty! The baklava & butter tarts were incredible!! 😍😍😍😍

Great selection of fresh savory and sweet pastries. Also a variety of coffees and other hot and cold drinks for everyone in your family. Service is quick and staff is very professional and patient with everyone. Plenty of outdoor seating where you can just relax and enjoy watching people pass by.
The best place so far in Montreal for croissant & cheese cake 🍰 🥐 yummy , especially the croissant . Lovely place to gather with friends. It’s going to be my favourite cafe 😊🙏🏼

Title: Outstanding Savoury Pastries and Creative London Fog Cheesecake!

Review:
I recently visited Crust Bakery located in Uptown, Victoria, Vancouver Island, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The moment I stepped up to the window, I was greeted by a warm, eclectic, and a relaxed inviting atmosphere from staff, that set the perfect tone for my visit.

The savoury pastries at Crust Bakery are absolutely mouthwatering. From the flaky crusts to the delectable fillings, each bite was a burst of flavor. The quality of the ingredients used truly shone through, making these pastries a savory delight.

However, the show stopper was the London Fog cheesecake (photo attached). This unexpected creation took my taste buds on a journey I never anticipated. The blend of the rich cheesecake with the delicate hints of Earl Grey and vanilla was simply extraordinary. The balance of flavors was impeccable, and it left me wanting more.

Aside from the exceptional food, the staff at Crust Bakery were friendly and attentive. They took the time to explain the different menu options, repeat our order since it was little noisy from the beautiful central ground fountain nearby (photo attached), and made sure I had everything I needed. The level of service I received was top-notch and added to the overall enjoyable experience.

If you find yourself in Victoria, Vancouver Island, I highly recommend visiting Crust Bakery. Their savory pastries are delicious, and the London Fog cheesecake is a true masterpiece. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

I ordered the durio cake for Father’s Day, the cake was super dry, there was no fresh durian like advertised. First and last time ordering here. Spend your money elsewhere, there are way better places for cakes.
This place is beautiful! That’s definitely the first impression. Then you actually try the pastries or bread, or cakes and it’s that stuff that will keep you coming back! All the products are fresh and flavorful, on top of being beautiful.

Terrible service. I watched the cashier (assistant manager) making mistakes when submitting customer orders. Instead of easily rectifying the issue she was escalating the situation by telling them they were wrong and made the wrong order. As a customer standing in line, it was clear it was her mistake. Regardless this Assistant Manager needs to receive more training and set a better example for their staff. There are way too many cafes in the neighborhood to bother dealing with such bad service. I left without ordering after seeing the interactions.

I gave them 1 star because of their poor service. I ordered a soy latte because I’m lactose intolerant and while the barista was making the drink I noticed she used whole milk. I quickly told her I ordered soy milk and the cashier quickly said I didn’t say soy. She then gave me a weird look and told the barista a couple times saying I didn’t say soy. Instead of apologizing to me for the mistake she made, she turned it into an uncomfortable situation. I will not go back again.
If you're in the mood for some delicious fritters & ice cream look no further than here. Not only are the fritters perfectly crispy and flavorful, but the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. You'll feel right at home when you step inside, and the owners are kind, full of love and amazing! Overall, this is a must-visit spot for any fritter or ice cream fan looking for a tasty treat and a warm welcome.

Nice place for a decent cup of coffee with some pastries and wraps. Cool vibe with friendly staff.

I will recommend mushroom truffle wrap.

Plenty of options for vegan and vegetarian folks.
This place is a great place to sit, has an amazing smell, cute patio and great food, and the owners are so kind. Both times I have received an extra fritter at no cost. The fritters are literally to die for they are so amazing. I 10/10 recommend!!!

I ordered the Tiramisu cake and some cupcakes for my sister Birthday and they are really good! I really recommend this place.
Great desserts, but only one person attending on a busy Sunday is unacceptable.
The person running the place is really kind and sweet. There was lots of desserts that we picked up and they were overall pretty good!
I usually don't write reviews, but I had such a great experience here that I had to write about it. I was initially hesitant to order two fritters (which is the minimum) since I only wanted a quick snack, but somehow I ended up eating four fritters (including one free sample and one complimentary fritter!). I had never tried fritters before, but I am a fan now. The staff were very warm and friendly, and I will make sure to visit again if I am ever in the Niagara region. The photo has only one fritter because I had already eaten the other fritters by then :)

Literally the best fritter/doughnut I EVER had!! They tasted so fresh and heavenly! The owners and staff were super kind and we got ice cream on the house! Will definetly be coming back here when in the area! :)
I ordered Tiramisu by online!
If you are looking forward to fine original Tiramisu flavor with cocoa powder, this is not you looking for. However, this is perfect coffee flavor cake! Whenever I have cake from other store, I always think cake is so heavy! This Tiramisu cake is not too heavy and super delicious. And look at the decoration! Thick chocolate decoration!!! I wanna highly recommend this shop. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ !!

Long overdue to write this review. I have frequented this coffee shop for quite a number of years, but much more regularily in the last two or three. It is now pretty much my main destination for coffee, to sit in or take out, and I cannot say enough about how great the currrent ownership and staff are. It is not common to find such consistently pleasant and professional staff like the group here. They are wonderful! The coffee and food are good too, and the decor and surroundings are lovely and well maintained.
The service here is very confusing and inefficient, the croissants leave a residue on your palette, and the coffee is pretty average. I guess it would have been ok if this was just another boulangerie, but PM’s so hyped and i don’t understand why. The trio chocolat is good though.

Crust Bakery is my favorite place to get sweets in Victoria. I love love it because they have a lot of choices of bakery and the most important thing is it is not too sweet and always fresh. It was a long line-up but it’s worth it. I wish one day they will open in Vancouver. Highly recommended.

Picked up a few mousse treats and cookies to take home and so glad we did, they're all delicious! Light and full of flavour.
The prices were a bit high but average for a shop in a tourist town.
Will definitely be stopping in for more treats.
So many delicious flavours, I had the coconut flavour and salted carmel type. I found the flavour very fresh and smooth, and the serving size was nice. There are many gelato places nearby, and this one hands down is the best! They also have nice sandwiches, and fresh pastries that are full of flavour. Not sure about some of the poor reviews, as I’m a foodie and I can tell you the pastries here are spot on. I would recommend this gelato place for the variety and nice staff.
Their patisseries are a great example of how something can be sweet and flavorless. We got 2 items and both were densely sweet, but there wasn’t much to experience outside the sugar. Unfortunately they were quite bland.

We ordered the sausage roll and the Portuguese pie so we could have a savory and sweet option. The sausage roll was a little too minced for me but the Portuguese pie was so good that I'm still giving it 5 stars. Tons of eclectic food to choose from and have the chance to try something new and different. A fun experience to add to your Niagra on the lake day!

I ordered 2 cakes online for my wedding on February 22,2022 for my guests. One was the black forest vegan and gluten free for my niece and sister who are celiac and vegan and OMG it was delicious !!! There was absolutely no way GF/V can taste this amazing !!! The second one I ordered was the larger cake in the photo was the Tiramisu half slab. Again DELICIOUS!! Only a tiny portion was left over with 65 guests. Was super easy to order online and no hassle picking it up. We were recommended this by our caterer Ponchos and let me tell you I’ve told everyone about these cakes and will definitely be trying more down the road! Thank you for making our wedding cake experience flawless!! ❤️❤️

Visited their W41st Ave. location in Kerrisdale expecting to be impressed. The place was busy, and the staff there were shorthanded. Faubourg is affected by the very common problem in Vancouver, not enough people interested in working in the restaurant industry... Despite being super busy, staff were diligent and explained that drinks in particular, might take a few minutes to be prepared. No problem there. Ordered a Nutella filled crêpe, a couple of macarons, and a double baked pistachio chocolate croissant. In general, the 3 were ok, but not spectacular. The croissant in particular, probably better when recently baked, but by mid day just ordinary, and therefore not worth the price in my opinion. Will have to give their other specialties a try. The cakes, tarts and savoury treats look great, and I'm really hoping that the experience will be more exciting...

They will waive tax if you buy 6 items!

We tried all the tarts that were available at the time - think the blueberry cherry tart is my favourite, it isn’t too sweet and cheese isn’t too dense, which is my preference. The cinnamon pear tart is quite good as well, it seems more like a cake inside the tart, but I like the taste of it

Like every other store in the town, this bakery is also in an old European building. The bakery has an old classy feel. They serve tarts, cakes, cinnamon buns, drinks, tea, coffee, pies, croissants, puff pastries etc. I tried a cappuccino and a carrot cake. Both the coffee and the cake tasted really good. The carrot cake was soft and freshly baked with cream on top. The bakery is take out only.

I'm not sure where to start, though my rating probably says it all. Website was easy to use and ordering my cake was no problem. Picked my cake up in their cute store and had to resist buying everything I saw. I purchased the vanilla white chocolate raspberry cake and was not disappointed. I'm not really a cake person, most are way too sweet and dry. This cake was neither of those, very light and moist (yes I said moist....moooiiissssttt for all who cringe at the word 😈😁) all around a very delectable cake, a great end to the party. Okay I'm done rambling, I 100% love the cake as you can see from the pictures. Worth it and will definitely stop in again for other treats.
Great selection and healthy options! Pumpkin soup was great and very filling, served hot. I’d always come to this restaurant on work breaks for lunch and it always checked all the boxes. Only giving 4 stars because it’s slightly overpriced, but considering the amount of seating and nice decor it’s almost justified.

First off, i hate cakes. I see no point to eating em. But before u crucify me, allow me to say that 7cake have changed my mind on what a cake should taste like.
Growing up, all i had were sweet diabetic cakes with so much icing it makes antartica feel jealous.
But then... 2021 summer happened. It was the wifes' friends' birthday and upon picking her up, she told us shes got a cake for us to try at home. I'm like great... cake... so what (inside my head).
Got home, tasted it.... and i was BAMBOOZLED 😱😱😱😱 WHAT INTARNATION IS THIS CAKE.

Fast forward to my birthday.. wife bought me the 2.5lb cake from se7en. I was Elated. The creamy, delicate thousand layers cheese&seasalt crepe cake just melts and hugs my entire pallette and fills it with joy.

The next month after my birthday, wife complained that i didnt give her a bday cake (but we dined at the CN tower for lunch.... bye wallet). So i decided to sell a kidney and with that, i bought her a 5lb Cake from se7en cakes again. SAME CHANTILLY millie cake.
BAM! cant say nothing to me anymore (lowkey, 2 birds 1 stone, i love the cake 😉). Everyones happy.

A week after that... im getting withdrawals, I'm looking for this cake again... fast forward, YURI CAO looked after me and at this very moment that i am typing this review/story, another 5lb chantilly cake is on the making and will be delivered by the time i get home from work 😅. I mean, i still have left overs from when i sold my other kidney so why not... LOL (kidding with the kidney thing, prices are fair).

Stressed spelt backwards is desserts ..
Se7en spelt backwards is... not a word.

Can i end a story abruptly? Ok bye. 😇
*this cake is becoming a weekly ordeal... i may literally have to work extra shifts just to support my cause 😭😭😭😭😭

I visited this French bakery shop at the heart of Kerrisdale yesterday seeing the pretty pastries, eclairs, tarts on display. There was a long queue inside.
The ambience of the place is nice and relaxed. There is a big seating area inside as well as a patio at the back. We tried their decadent tri-chocolate mousse. It was delicious. Most of the pastries cost about 7.6$ which I found to be quite expensive.
I would love to try some of their other pastries in future.

Delicious cake. Pork cake is too salty. Sometimes they offer free delivery to York region. Driver location can be tracked. They also have a pick up location for north customers. Overall good shopping experience.

My friend recommended this place cause everyone was talking about it. First timer ordering the cake and very lovely design like how on the website (except this colour is more lighter than the one on the site), delivery 5-7 and he came quite early which is better but if he's late understandable due to traffic. Very beautiful cake and everyone was happy about it. Quite pricey for a small cake but what to expect from this beautiful design. Will orders 2 more next week and many more to come.

I LOVE their coffee but i find the food overpriced for its quality and compared to other cafes. There are plenty of outlets and seats. Staffs are nice and I’d love to go back!
I am hooked on the croissants from Boulangerie Premiere Moisson. I have been to three of their locations, and they all have not disappointed me. The croissants are fresh, very tasty, and delicious. The plain croissants are buttery and have lovely flakiness to it. The almond croissants are not like all others. It has almond paste baked into the center, and it almost tastes like a soft, flaky cake. It was delicious. There are street metered parking which makes it very easy to access by car. They take both cash and credit card. They speak the universal language of pointing my finger at their croissants. But they also speak French and English in case you can't use your pointing finger. I would come back again. If you are visiting Montreal, this chain of boulangerie is a must visit. Try the croissants and let me know. If you know other boulangeries, please also let me know.

My girlfriend took me by surprise with this fabulous "Moana" cake from 7cake. It was my very first cake from the company and it instantly became one of my FAVOURITE cakes of all time!!

The cake was fresh and moist covered with the soft texture of mango. Because it was freshly made from mango, the taste was absolutely AMAZING! Despite the relatively small size of the cake, the sweet mix of mango and milk gave me just the satisfaction I needed after a meal.
It was definitely NOT the typical mousse cake you would think of finding from a bakery.

I recommend this cake to anyone who just LOVES mango like me and wants some good dessert after a meal. Definitely a HIGH-QUALITY cake!! HUGE THANKS TO my sweet girlfriend for discovering this cake for me XD

7cake is an e-commerce business. There are no seats or cake displays at the store. You simply browse and order thru their online catalogue, and they deliver to your address.

I was delivered a Veneto cake for a taste review, and it was quite good. The cake itself looked gorgeous, and shaped like a fancy pillow. I got a lot of "ooh and wows" from it when I shared it with some coworkers. I really liked the lightness of the mascarpone cheese, and the cake itself was not overly sweet, which is great.

Also received the FES cake - even more gorgeous! It is shaped like a heart with with beautiful angles in a lovely pink colour. Filled with an earl grey mousse and fresh peach slices, this cake is light and refreshing. I do however prefer the Veneto cake as that is more my taste.

The pricing is a tad on the pricey side, but these aren't your typical cakes. These cakes are made to impress, so I would suggest giving them a try for a special occasion.
