I don’t understand how this bakery is rated this high. I’m French so I’ve tried hundreds of different bakery and I was very excited to try this one because of its rating. I ordered a lot of pastries and not one was even decent. Most of them were undercooked. Disappointed.
DO NOT EAT HERE. I used to Love Villa Madina. I still do (only some locations) I’ve been eating since I was 8 years old. This used to be a good location 5-6 years ago. What’s bad about it ? The food has no taste. I just ate and I was given blocks of chicken that I couldn’t even eat in 1 bite if I wanted to. Not to mention no taste. The potatoes were so dry I had to throw it out of my mouth. And believe me this is not the first time they’ve had dry potatoes. The quantity used to be so good before. But they are so stingy now. Barely enough quantity. And not to mention the staff is ridiculously rude and arrogant. Hate this place now. No taste or flavour and horrible staff. No reason to go anymore. I hope if anyone sees this not that I think they will please fix it. This is ridiculous. No one pays $20 for one person’s meal to get food that has no taste with a side of attitude.
servers are very impatient and want to just get done with the order. rice was not salted. beef shawarma lack flavours. Whenever me and family went to square one, we always used to eat from here as it was delicious and provided good customer service. But after this experience, I will not order from here. I will keep an eye on the reviews with the hope that they bring back the authentic taste of villa madina.
Numerous times my order is either missing something or items are "sold out" after i made my order. I use mobile checkout to save time and multiple times I have been waiting 10 minutes or more for my orders to be complete or just to be told that an item I ordered is soldout. Also my order has been given to other people multiple times which then caused me to waste more time. I go to this location during work so time is a big factor.
This is the last place in Toronto with Banh Mi under $5. You'd be wrong if you thought you got what you paid for. I was surprised with the amount of meat and pate in it - alot! There are lots of varieties of banh mi ( i.e fried chicken, bbq pork, shredded chicken etc) that I will give a try next time. One note that the bun is on the crunchy side so if you like soft buns, this is not for you.

I went to get a Mamie Choc de Noël like last year. Major disappointment. I understand shrinkflation but this was ridiculous. See last year and yesterday’s photos.
Love the red barn. Locally sourced items and hard to find any were here else items l. Always fresh and the stir is always clean and staff is great.
I've been to the St. Henri location. This one is pretty similar, although the seating is much better. More seating available in the upstairs room, there's even a piano I played around with a bit. Couldn't remember the first location's selection well enough to compare. But independently it's great, splendid selection of sweet and savoury items. Service was fine as well.

So food was amazing. Staff not so much. Not all, but a few were irritated to be in the service industry. I get it,. part-time kids. Guess I should be happy they're working!!
We did a group catering order for a team event and everything was superb! The food was delicious and everyone loved it. The quantity for the price is great! Highly recommend!!
There is this girl name Maria who is always so disrespectful and confused for no reason. We are regular customers always grab coffee literally everyday. I don’t really understand what is the math and science in understanding the instructions. She needs to learn manners and politeness.she is too dumb to understand the simple words like rewards . I literally said I don’t wanna redeem these points today and would prefer to pay for this coffee and then a kind gentleman offered a gift card literally for everyone in line and asked me not to pay but still she wanted to charge us. Very disappointed with the way she treated us and that also for the second time.
I am a regular at this tim hortons for my morning coffee and let me tell you that the service is disappointing every time. There is one employee in particular, Maria. She is so disrespectful and treats the customers with an attitude. Today, a gentleman wanted to pay with his gift card for everyone in line. She started telling us how we had to pay while she had the gift card in her hand. It was really embarrassing for me and my friend that she singled us out. Everybody was looking at us like we didnt want to pay when in reality we were ready to pay. Overall it was very embarrassing for us and we felt like we were being targeted for no reason. Unfortunately we wont be coming to this location anymore, solely because the server makes us feel very disrespected.
Super busy store that does a good job of keeping up with the traffic. They handle mobile orders fairly quickly so you can skip the line, too. Tim’s is usually very inconsistent, but this location hasn’t done me wrong yet.
Staff are not very friendly and helpful. I tried this place for the first time, and was very disappointed. The food was oily, and my chicken had pieces of unedible fat. The portion of rice is huge, but the same cannot be said for the salads which are actually healthy for you. I don't recommend spending money at this place. The quality of food doesn't match what you end up paying for. Also, this message is to the person who keeps copying and pasting the message about sharing more about our experiences-there is nothing more to share. Customer service and food quality need to be improved. It's as simple as that.
Decent banh mi for $4 each. Got the assorted and chicken sandwiches. Overall the sandwiches here are on the sweeter side. I'm a savoury kind of gal so probably wouldn't come back here again. Note: it's a grab and go place, no sit down.

I generally have a poor experience at Tim Hortons, but being served by Anamika really changed my day. It was starting to rain outside, so I made the decision to head inside the mall. When I was placing my order, Anamika noticed that I was upset and respectfully asked about my well-being. I was having a terrible day. It was a small action that made a big difference. She also recommended me a great drink and I couldn't be more thankful. Definitely the best service I have ever encountered at Tim Hortons.
They’re charging extra for crispy onions in store orders, while on the app it’s for free even you want extra crispy onions… upon asking why they are charging, they don’t have any proper, reasonable answer… taste of the items also keeps changing every time
Wonderful little shop. Great Bahn Mi. Already planning to come back soon. Spicy assorted was delicious. Good value. Great bread. But it truly is a hole in the wall - in the best possible way. Can't wait for my next visit.

Poor service . Disrespecting customers. Learn how to do a better customer service. Employees talking about customers with each other and making comments in front of customer. There is a white guy with spectacles his name starts with L and he is one of the worst employee ever hired by tim hortons. They should teach him how to behave wisely otherwise your location is worst location to visit for a daily coffee. Very poor service . I hope this review reaches the management of the place soon.
Found this little gem in Ottawa. We chose to dine in. It was quieter noting that we came late in the evening but everything was perfect! We started off with Lentil soup which was phenomenal. Then we got the chicken and lamb platter. They had the freshest ingredients, Greek salad was amazing and the meat was the best I have had. Will be recommending this spot to everyone I know!

I have been buying food here many time , which give local business and super people. Some lady here has horrible customer service, rude , horrible rude !!! And the food been in garbage after I bought many time . I didn’t bother to tell them , but I did tell call two time and tell them the food already stalled. The answer is ( oh ok ) and today again. My husband just buy a Cha lua , it’s already smelling and viscous !!! I call want to tell them and see what they said ! Guess what , they Pretend not heard me , and they just hold the phone there and no one talk to me . This is ridiculous how you guys treat your customers like this . !!! I don’t recommend and food here , I have buy and nothing is good, special to expensive. I make it better. No more supporting from me or my family and friends 👎👎👎👎👎👎
I love middle astern food, but this place, I favoured for so many years every time I go to Square on, however, the last year or so, the quality of the food have been declining dramatically, the customer service is just dry, no smile from anyone that works there. I have attached a photo of what was ordered, I personally do not mind paying any amount for a decent meal, but to have such horrendous, very dry meal in front me, I just could not let it go. The Kofte did not taste or look like Kofte, the falafel was the absolute worst i have tried and the Tabbule, I make 10 times better one at home, and I am not even a cook. I asked for the manager, and instead of trying to absorb my disappointment and frustration, he insisted that the food is good and all their customers were satisfied. Unfortunately for him, he has no way of knowing that if no one posts a review, most people at square one food court, have a million options, and I can assure you, that if anyone went to eat from this place, anything beyond their mediocre Shawarma, will be very disappointed and will never go back.. I personally would never recommend this place to anyone..

I have an 18 year old homestay student from England visiting for his gap year. He expressed a fondness for sausages (something I rarely eat), so I went - of course - to the Red Barn Market on Oak Bay Avenue. I took a chance on the Octoberfest sausages. Wow - heavy score. My student's face lit up and he said he'd never tasted sausages that good in England! I hope they keep them in stock! The meat department at Red Barn is so helpful and the meat is always of a superior quality. That's why I always take advantage of the Barn Bucks offers! Thanks, Red Barn, for the huge smile on my homesick student's face!

Ordered 8 of their #1 sandwiches which is what I normally see. They've got a lot of different varieties, which is a nice option. The person behind the counter offered one free sandwich if I buy 2 more. Ok, twist my arm, I bought 2 more.
The bread is fresh as well as the ingredients. The "paste" they use as their mayo had some flavor which I don't remember if that's normal, but a nice touch.
Overall, the sandwich was good but I can't say it's a 5* sandwich.

I came on saturday aug 19th around 12:25pm. Staff was rushed to take order and cook. He was literally speeding thru his questions as he asked me what I wanted on my sandwich, and if I wanted to add fries or a drink. I have never had anyone ask me questions so fast when ordering food, if i was older or did not speak the English well... i would have had so much difficulty understanding the young man. So that was already a bad impression. service wasnt the best.

Do the employees know what toppings are what, did a pick up order and everything is wrong, ask for green peppers ,get red onions, ask non toasted, get toasted like how hard is it to get staff that can READ AN ORDER TICKET!! Do better Subway
I've been at this location 10+ times within the month and everytime I add something new and it always exceeds the expectation. I've tried all their cheesesteaks and fries options and it's been very consistent. The team here is also very focused, quick and friendly with their service.
I like it but I have not been here for long time today I passed by I think it’s closed permanently because I saw the store was in renovation and full of dust. Sadly

I’ve been eating at Charleys at Square One for 20+ years but recently had to stop and I will not be going back. On more than one occasion, I found chicken bones in my sandwich that I almost broke my teeth on. It was either bones or plastic. The first time I chalked it up to a one-off incident but it still threw me off. So I gave Charleys a second chance and it happened again and I almost threw up at the food court. I sent an email to the team at Charleys and received the most generic response ever. It was clear they were not willing to remedy the situation as they kept giving such flippant responses even when I responded. They don’t care to investigate these incidents at all. This happened about 6 months ago and I have not eaten Charleys again nor do I plan to, and I’ve told everyone I know who frequents Charleys about my experience. They wont eat there anymore either. For anyone ordering any of their chicken sandwiches, be weary. It’s too bad that this establishment has gone downhill after so many years of making great sandwiches.

I was stuck into hospital last night and wasn’t expecting anything to be opened this late in night. But then I found this Subway located right inside hospital. The attendant at the store was so kind enough to help us with the order and treated us really nice. Aafiya was generous enough to share her name with us.

Best Vietnamese Sandwiches in the city. As of June 2023, where else can you get so much for $5.00 nowadays? They also have Vietnamese rice paper wraps with shrimp, Vietnamese Sausages, and Vietnamese desserts. The real treasure of this place is the lady working the cash, she's very friendly and talented, she speaks Vietnamese, Cantonese, and English fluently.

This place has gone downhill, used to be great for fresh veggies and meat, not so much now. Prices and quality are the worst in the area. Meat department is very limited. 2 stars for the sandwich bar.
My friend strongly recommended me this spot. Its absolutely surprised me. Really underpriced, Banh Mi is so flavorful and I love their Patê. Take out n cash only.

They limited the number of veggies you can put on your sandwich. The worker only put 6 pieces of spinach on my sandwich. When since did they limit the number of veggies? it is not worth it to buy a sandwich there for the price.
Great croissants and baguettes. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Just like they should be. The cakes also look great although I haven't tried them.
On March 23, 2023. Through uber, I ordered 2 chicken and bacon pepper corn ranch salads. I received the salad with rice in it. I was recently diagnosed as a diabetic and cannot have rice. I called the store the next day where the employe told me I would need to speak to the manager. I said ok I will call her. I spoke to her on March 30th were she told me to come in because I told her I had pictures to show her that the salads were wrong. I came in on April 1st, 2023. After showing her the receipt and the picture she told me it wasn't her store. Her store isn't 2867 Ellesmere. Her store is 2863. She sent me across the stree to the other subway telling me it was them. When I went there, their address is 2872. I went back to her as said this is the address because it is showing the location in the centenary Hospital. I told her she has two addresses for her location. Either way she told me she couldn't give me the money back because I would have had to come the next day to get a refund. I told her I couldn't have come the next day because I go to school in the mornings and work in the evens so the weekend is my only time I can come. She then contiuned to say she cannot refund me, the system wouldn't allow her. I told her so wasted my money on two salads i couldn't eat. She srugged her shoulders. I asked for the number for head office. She lied and told me there is no head office. I would like to konw if I could get conpensation for going salads and for her sending me on a wild goose chase with the location of the store.

I think this is one of the best banh mi in town. I always order the ‘banh mi dac biet’ and ‘gà xả ơt’. Their sauces/mayonese are really good. Their chilli and soy sauce are really good as well. The owners are super nice and friendly. When i bough a-lot of stuff, they often gave me extra stuff like the fried banana. Their prices are much better compared to others.
Had the Philly Cheese Steak and it was great. Pretty quick service. Two guys there not the most pleasant people in the world, I guess they rather be elsewhere.

The guy I bought the foot long sandwich on Feb 15, 2023, he took my money with his gloves on and went to give me the change in the cash register, he still has gloves on and when it's time to put the ingredients on my sandwich, he use the same gloves on the food which he took my money and give me change with. It is so disgusting, money is very dirty and has thousands or million of bacteria, some can be deadly. If I get food poison, I will sue this location and they can go bankrupt, so if you are the owner, tell your employees to change gloves if he collect the money and give change to customers if he is to prepare the sandwich afterwards. There were two guys working there. The other guy was at the soda, drinks stand and busy doing his thing and talking to the guy who is serving me. Either one person should collect the money and one person should prepare the sandwich.
Love the place! Its where I go for those special products hard to find at regular grocers. Many local farms are sourced and the veggies are bursting with full flavor. Even the imports are chosen for quality and the freshness of flavor. I don't mind the occasional "bad apple," keeping in mind that organic lacks pesticides, wax and other chemicals. Staff are always helpful and friendly, and the general ambiance is one of a family run business. Their deli makes the best & biggest custom sandwiches/ wraps crammed to the brink with fresh veggies too! Oh, and the deals in the meat department will blow your mind.

She got fries and when she got the delivery the box was open and instead fries in the box she got the fries in the bag.
The box was open and even the bag wasn't closed properly, its just waist of money, because who wants to eat those fries. They not supposed to give orders to ubereats not closing the order properly, I don't know if someone didn't touch her food.
This is very poor service.
Never again I will order from them.

The sandwich was with instructions for no lettuce. Clearly the staff cannot read simple instructions.

Ordered 3 big subway paid over 40$, all the subway had 5% sauces even though we added 3 sauces. Also, the vegetables were missing. Bad experience.

I’m a subway footlong lover but what I had today is totally unbelievable. I don’t usually put bad reviews but then this is just unacceptable. Gave this branch a try for the first time but I guess it will be my first and last. White italian bread was hard. Bought just now a foot long steak and cheese, and 2 side kicks honey mustard ham. The footlong bread was so hard and it took me about 5-7 seconds before I can have each bite because of the breath that is supposed to be soft. Maybe the bread is old or overcooked. Meat on the footlong was placed uneven because I had it cut in half and seems like the half side of the footlong that I got is that the meat that was placed was just like a usual size of 1 tablespoonful. Tasted like I ordered a footlong full of veggie than a supposed to be footlong steak and cheese. I should have just gone ordering a vegetarian option if I knew that the guy will not put enough meat. Not worth the money I spent.

I write this review for Tim Hortons near Walmart Square one, They took my order by mistake yesterday but I was fine with that. Today, when I wanted to receive the new order, I received more than my order, what they did gave me a very good and positive feeling, I thank them.
Hands down the best croissant I've had. As a huge croissant connoisseur, gotta say this place exceeded all my expectations. The croissants are so crispy on the outside with the layers adding to the crunch and it soft inside with the almond and chocolate filling made to perfection - not too sweet or too gooey. Wish they opened locations in Toronto.
Approached the front at 9:40. Lady told me they were closed. Asked her “you close at 9:40?” She shrugs her shoulders at me. Keep in mind this is in a hospital where this is the only food option or I have to pay for parking twice. Garbage customer service

This is an amazing subway. Staff is always freindly, sandwiches are always good. The place is always clean. I've been going regularly for 3 years and in the past year I have seen major changes for the better! Keep it up!
Favourite Subway location. I don’t live in Boucherville but I’ll always drive there for this. Its clean and the staff are very friendly. :)

Except the girl working on the cash everyone seemed like they don’t respect the customers. Had a very straight face and a weird attitude while asking for options.
Also it’s actually like an assembly line, half of the platter will be prepared by guy x and the other half by guy y and you move around the counter to place your order and ensure that both the guys listened to what you want. The experience can surely be improved.
And most importantly the quantity is very less for the price they charge and as compared to what other shawarma places provide.
The salad & sauces taste good.

I just went there today and order a bunch of banh Mi and vietnamese dessert.
The dessert has been sitting around for so long that it went sour and taste kinda funny. All 4 vietnamese desserts taste the same and the casava is not fully cooked. The 3 colour dessert, the pomegranate is so hard because it probably sitting in the fridge for too long. The banana in the dessert tastes like the frozen banana that got toss in. Overall, very disappointed.
For banh mi, the bread is a bit stale and the cilantro is wilted. Needless to say, overall disappointment here too.

If $11.99 for a really average sandwich seems like a good deal, this is your place. Not as charming as it used to be and the butchers are now hidden behind freezers of pre packaged stuff. The packaged to go food is their priority now and it's really hit and miss. If you travel to other cities and see what their urban grocers are doing, Red Barn just doesn't compare on price or quality. Still a nice place, glad they're around but they used to be so much better.
Love their cassava desserts and coconut drinks. Not too sweet, yet delicious & GF. Caramelized oven-baked cassava square is my fave ❤️ Smells amazingly caramel-y. It’s a very busy place with Vietnamese regulars looking for real good stuff.
One of the best bakery in Montreal for taste and price! Their portions are generous and the price is just right. I stop here often when I need a fix of a good bread some desserts or pastries to bring to the office or share with my family and friends. Always served with a smile and the smell when you walk in warms your heart. You will be a happy camper walking in here and grab yourself any of their sweet or salty masterpieces
Delicious chicken banh mi. Love the spice level, love the freshness of the ingredients. Cash only. Just don't love their price in comparison to the other economical and just as tasty banh mi offerings literally within 1km of this place (see Banh Mi Trung Son for $3.50). No complaints otherwise.

N’essayez pas de poser des questions, ils ne connaissent de toute évidence pas les produits qu’ils vendent. J’avais demandé recommandation à la vendeuse, elle m’avait assuré que le mille-feuilles était vraiment bon.

Food is excellent, the staff is super friendly, all the way to the cash. Great place. The only problem I have is that with a high school across the street, this location gets very busy at lunch time. The line gets way too long, so if you are in a rush, avoid this place at lunch. That said, the line does move pretty fast but you’ll have to tolerate the loud kids.
