Wonderful place for west Indian grocery.
Nice store but the most surly miserable butcher I have ever encountered. Extremely unpleasant interaction with someone that should not be dealing with customers.
It is a nice small grocery store. Most items are very expensive, They have cooked food that looked good but I didn't get any. They have a selection of honey and jams of which I bought a delicious strawberry jam and some honeycomb honey which impressed the kids.
The aisles are too narrow. The back wall with the out swinging cooler doors presents challenges, as does the meat island in that section. I want be shopping there on a regular basis.
I am a regular customer for last 15 years or so at this location. recently I started to notice their chicken is now bigger in size and that means they are aged or chemically enlarged after cooking I get lot of burp same feeling I get when you eat at Indian banquet hall who serve halal but they all get aged chicken my brother calls it chicken that do not produce eggs anymore meaning senior chicken or older in age chicken I wonder if owner knows this or not because I am thinking of not buying from whoever sells older chicken because we spend lot of money buying plus cooking and result a chicken that gives lot of burp
Friendly staff, will help you find what you need, if going to the meat counter, best to avoid peak hours as they get very busy.
Love the red barn. Locally sourced items and hard to find any were here else items l. Always fresh and the stir is always clean and staff is great.
The customer service needs improvement. You would think you’re annoying some of them to do their job.
The renovations are complete, auto tellers are available, the Deli has expanded its space and offerings for the public, and the staff are trained, competent, and politely attentive to customers. What a relief!
I went there to buy some meat and I always come here. I asked the guy loud and clear that I want “4 chicken leg pcs without the skin and 2lbs of lean ground meat”. I get home and find out that I’m over charged for the meat at $18.45 given that it’s $5.99/lb. It should NOT be $18.00 and so I looked at the price tag and it says 3lbs. The meat doesn’t look like it was 3lbs. I weighed the meat at home and it was around 2.4lbs approximately. THEN, remember, I asked for only 4 legs but I got 5 in the bag.

all cashiers were on their phones, couldn’t tell if any of them were open to ring me through since they didn’t greet me, also didn’t tell me my total or tell me to have a good day.
Visit this place to purchase meat . And the workers were placing their hands somewhere that you know what I mean .. and just left the store immediately ..disgusting and unclean place to shop ..will never recommend this place to anyone ..
The selection is decent and the location is convenient because it's central. But the items can be a bit overpriced and the staff are rude. I'd rather travel the extra short distance and shop at the Dundas location for better service. Or shop at T&T.

Best grocery store u can find ! Love this place they got EVERYTHING. Fresh hot bread a lot of veggies and a whole entire full service butter with meat and fish. Cut just how u tell them. Can it get better than this. I will tell everyone to come here
Am I the only one who can't stand the smell of this store? It emanates from the meat/fish department. I avoid the aisles near the meat/fish department and avoid the store if I can.

Jas is the best store ever and the goat meat very very very very fresh!!!!!!!. i have been coming here for years and years now and so far the service is great as well as the butcher side is very clean and moist. if you are looking for goat meat but can't find any fresh then come on down to Jas Supermarket at 9025 torbram rd brampton ontario L6S 3L2 you wont regret and disappoint in this place and the best part about jas is they have everything from chicken patties to bakery and spices as well

Since Sobeys took over some things have changed. I noticed ALL apples are $2.99/ pound. Carrots are only sold prepackaged- in large plastic bags, or in a group with a rubber band around it. I tried the latter one day. Tasted really bland. Avocados are about $2.99 each every day. What happened?
I prefer Market on Yates or The Root Cellar. Delicious carrots! It’s easy to tell what is fresh because they leave some green on the end. Almost like dessert. Something in produce is always on sale at either store.

Visited on a friend's recommendation and found nice sachet packs of kashmiri chai which I was craving for a long time...
Halal store, sells a variety of very fresh meat along with grocery items, very pleasant, professional and accommodating staff. Also have a section for cooked meals. I always have a good customer experience whenever i visit and I’ve found that the prices are reasonable.
Excellent Location in Fairfield. Washroom available for customers, just ask. Easy Parking, on University Bus Route. Excellent selection and price. Newly renovated and up dated. Wonderful staff.
I always like to support new stores, but yikes, wont be coming back. The butterfish was freezer burned, it was stale, stunk and had to cut out all the belly on the fish to make it edible. Not to mention there was a lack of selection of items. Like I mentioned earlier, I try to support new stores, but the quality is embarrassing to the community.
Kabul farm is one of the best Hallal Meat stores, but the only thing is that some employees are very Rude with some customers I should give 3, but because the meat is fresh.

I have an 18 year old homestay student from England visiting for his gap year. He expressed a fondness for sausages (something I rarely eat), so I went - of course - to the Red Barn Market on Oak Bay Avenue. I took a chance on the Octoberfest sausages. Wow - heavy score. My student's face lit up and he said he'd never tasted sausages that good in England! I hope they keep them in stock! The meat department at Red Barn is so helpful and the meat is always of a superior quality. That's why I always take advantage of the Barn Bucks offers! Thanks, Red Barn, for the huge smile on my homesick student's face!

After one month in Victoria, visiting from Montreal, I must say Victoria's have strange ideas regarding the meaning of "thrifty", "dirt cheap" and the like. Prices are 30 to 40% higher than in Montreal, with some products reaching double the price (see berries ). I also found prices between various local grocery shops quite similar. You'll get fairer prices at Walmart (sadly!).

I ordered at 6:50 and got my food at 8:18. After receiving the food, I called the restaurant right away, but they said it wasn't their fault and blamed the delivery company. But isn't the taste and quality of the food the restaurant's problem? The sweet and sour pork was all soggy, the jjamppong soup leaked, and the jjambbong jjajang noodles were all in one piece. And the taste of jajangmyeon was a bit sour and tasteless, so I ate a bite and threw it away. It's the first time I've tried such tasteless food.
It is what it is, largely a korean specialty grocer that sells many of the things you would want for any asian dish plus tons of snacks, sweets and drinks direct from Korea and other asian locales. Depending on the store size some things might be found in one and not another.
Great local West Indian store has all your needs for Caribbean dishes. Great and loving staff. Fresh West Indian bread probably the best I ever had and their pastries assortment box is super addicting and very fresh. Love it !!

Great place for fresh baked Guyanese breads. Kiran and her family are amazing, very friendly and provides excellent service.
Brought some great guyanese pastries over the weekend, they were delicious!!! I will have to go back and get some more!! Store had great customer service and sell a variety of products.

Great grocery store with lots of local items, including produce. Plenty of foods targeted for dietary restrictions.
First visit at Kabul Farms. Many Afghan and middle eastern products. Halal meat butchers are there to cut your meat on the spot. Fresh not packaged. Prices are also very good. Get some bbq stuff here.

They Don’t care about customer. Everyone was inside and they said we are closed. At entrance i was amazed when i read only 3 students allowed.
Purchased a full wings ftom this store. They sold me pigeon wings instead of chicken wings. I realized how poor quality the product was. However I had already marinated them. I called tge store and was told these are "small wings" it is a special for kabul farms. He also said I can bring it back to his store. Not a good experience at all. Not going there again.
This place has gone downhill, used to be great for fresh veggies and meat, not so much now. Prices and quality are the worst in the area. Meat department is very limited. 2 stars for the sandwich bar.
Small location but always clean and neat. Items are great and selection of baked goods and food items are tasty. Their prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I always buy my Anchor cheese here as I can find it nowhere else. The coconut bread and pelau is very tasty. During summer they were the only West Indian supermarket with proper Jamaican yellow plums. Their fresh baked goods are what makes the list place above the average Caribbean grocer.Also coconut slice is divine!

A young gentleman came to help out with my request, I’ve explained to him that the meat meant for BBQ with no bones.
While he was walking me through choosing the right peace of meat his colleague (fluffy bold head) joined the conversion and choose the leg part weighted around 3 LB and change.
I’ve explained I need around one LB of meat and what he choose is way over what I’m asking.
Then he said the best option is the lamp neck since it comes in small sizes and it was around 1 LB, and I was like sure that works for me.
The guy started cutting the meat with bones-in, I had to stop him and informed him that I asked to have it boneless, the worker refused to serve me anymore and said it’s not possible with this piece.
They just lost a regular customer.

Just came in looking to buy some late night groceries, but kept on getting uncomfortably approached by one of the male staff (not the security) with long hair (that’s tied up). Upon entering the store, no one greets you and doesn’t seem to be interested in your business. The male staff on the floor immediately gave me a dirty look and kept on following me very closely while I was shopping for groceries. If I’m not mistaken, they have a security guard present (that’s always leaning on things) that’s on the floor because I see the same security leaning on things at the Ryerson/TMU location, so I don’t understand why is the floor staff following me so closely, is lost and prevention part of their responsibility? If so better training needs to be done, especially if you are going to have floor staff trying to do the job of a security officer.

Friends and I enjoyed the hot steamed dumplings. They also sell massive bags in the freezer section. $9.99 for 6! My friend is sensitive to spice but did not find them spicy at all despite the Korean chili flakes.

I love this place. I love this place because it's cozy, and it's like your neighbourhood friendly store aunts who knows you and says hi to you when you come. I love shopping here rather than Galleria and Hmart who don't know you.
Their prices are mostly likely cheaper than Galleria and Hmart (unless the items are on sale), especiall ramen.

We drove to the store at 8.45 pm and it was closed. What a waste of time ….online it says open till 9 pm but they had closed shop looks like at 8.30 …. Hate businesses that do this … don’t care about business
Love the place! Its where I go for those special products hard to find at regular grocers. Many local farms are sourced and the veggies are bursting with full flavor. Even the imports are chosen for quality and the freshness of flavor. I don't mind the occasional "bad apple," keeping in mind that organic lacks pesticides, wax and other chemicals. Staff are always helpful and friendly, and the general ambiance is one of a family run business. Their deli makes the best & biggest custom sandwiches/ wraps crammed to the brink with fresh veggies too! Oh, and the deals in the meat department will blow your mind.

Really friendly employees with great prices on produce! They have a rotation of homemade Korean food available every day. They also have a takeout spot for fresh items to order. We had a vegetarian fried rice (it's not on the menu—just ask them to make their meat fried rice vegetarian and they will) and it was delightful.

I emailed a customer service to express concern in the past, they never got back to me.
It is convinient to get essential Korean food items and sometimes they have good promos on items, therefore I would still shop here but that does not mean that I am happy about their quality or service.
Their prepared food/bakery items are okay, not that great. Produce is pretty fresh most of time tho.
The other day I picked up a vegetable croquette for a snack and found very excessive amount of oil ( about a table spoonful) sitting in the package. I purchased croquette from H mart many times before and it was never like this. I met with a manager so he could speak to the bakery department. Manager’s reaction was not apologetic or anything, he just came up with an excuse like it was because plastic package was closed when croquette was still hot. According to him, people were complaining about cold croquette and microwave to heat up is not available, that is why they packaged when they were still hot. Well, if they drained deep fried croquette properly before they package them, it would not be like this.
It is a shane that they don’t have any urgency to improve their customer service.

This place is amazing. Best Korean grocery store in this part of North York. Better than H Mart in every way especially in terms of produce and meat. Great prices, nice staff, lots of cool stuff. Best part is their various kimchi type products. The little cucumbers are incredible.
Very tasty meat. Chicken breast tandoori was amazing. Highly recommend the steak with bone in. Thanks to the owner for waiting for us before closing to serve great meat.

K-mart that also provides great variety of Asian food. As someone who frequently cooks Asian food I can always find what I need here. Also I keep finding good deals for different items when I visit. It's difficult time and we should show more support to local business.

This lady cannot be serious. What a disrespectful woman. That's why this place looks like a dump.
Discovered this Korean Store while walking to the nearby subway. Couldn’t help but go in and get lost in world of Korean food. I got a packed Kimchi Fried Rice but it wasn’t spicy at all. I want to believe that their fresh food tastes good. The red bean cake was just so-so.
Well-stocked Asian market with all the spices and sauces you'd expect. Vegetables are seasonal and might even be sourced locally with a few exceptions. Caution: Be sure to check best-before dates. I've bought bad tofu from here before. Otherwise, decent neighbourhood grocer with great frozen dumplings and rice noodles on hand.
Great start for a west Indian Store . Hopefully in time they will carry more and more stuff from the Caribbean. I have referred a bunch of people the store so I hope the business grows. Lots of great snacks and drinks from back home. Wishing them good luck and continued growth.
If $11.99 for a really average sandwich seems like a good deal, this is your place. Not as charming as it used to be and the butchers are now hidden behind freezers of pre packaged stuff. The packaged to go food is their priority now and it's really hit and miss. If you travel to other cities and see what their urban grocers are doing, Red Barn just doesn't compare on price or quality. Still a nice place, glad they're around but they used to be so much better.
Very convenient H-Mart location near Bloor Subway Station. Products are always fresh and they have a nice corner of ready-to-eat food! Very organized and always stocked by staff. Great pitstop for a quick snack. If you're interested in more hot food, also visit the location just north of Dundas Station as it has a food booth as well.
Loved the selection and cleanliness of this grocer! Saw snacks that you typically could only get in trinidad. It was refreshing! Keep up the good work. One point to remember is to ensure all staff are treating customers well. I had a cousins parent go in and got poor treatment from a worker and now they don't want to go back! Customer care and service is everything! I will definitely be back 😀
Great halal meat section but beware of typical cheat of their staff, if you are not on their head then don't expect they will be honest with you. Have couple of bad experiences at the store, as I ordered ahead or went into other ailes- and they will put the old/ rubbish meat.

Very good selection of Asian vegetables, asian cuts of meat, and a fish monger. The take-away food is a real gem to be had as well - inexpensive and authentic!
Amazing little Korean market eith lots of ethnic Korean options. I regularly come here to get taboki, kimchi soups and side dishes. They also have a ramen corner where you can get over 20 different types of ramens. 😱 Their meat section is also really fresh. Lots of good beef and pork pre-sliced for Korean BBQ. Highly recommended.
Closest place to buy narine bread for me, but that rude lady sells there makes people don’t want to come back there. Cant understand her nasty attitude for no reason.
The produce here is very fresh and fairly priced. it's also clean and I have never had a problem with someone who wasn't wearing a mask. the staff aren't outrightly rude but they also aren't overly friendly. I think it's just because I don't speak korean, and honestly that's fine with me. I come here frequently, you should try it out too!
when we used to live in verdun a few years ago, this was a frequent stop for us since the prices were great with decent selection. even after we moved across the canal, we'd sometimes swing by if in the area.

Go there for fruits and vegetables but MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE FRESHNESS of all perishable items you want. If you’re buying non-perishable items, it could be passed its expiration date. So make sure you check that! And if the item doesn’t have an expiration date, avoid buying it completely. If you follow my advice, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with this place! :)
Adopted this market over 8 years now. Great friendly service. Perfect to get vegetables and fruits at lower cost compared to grocery stores. Good variety of Asian products. Definitely a good address in Verdun.
Last three years I have been buying halal meats from this place. Lately there behaviour was downgrading,specially on my last visits they behaved like I am getting favour from them. I just want to let them know they just lost one loyal customer and I have plenty of options to shop around the place. Arrogant and aggressive employee. Blot of Muslim. Now I am shopping from Sunny.
They're not a very large Asian grocery store but they do offer an extensive selection of products, if you're looking for a specialty ingredient for your Asian recipes there a good chance you'll find it here. Prices are very good too. Open till late most nights.
The lady is very rude has no customer service skills. Will never go back. I bought a barell to ship something in from her and it had a really strong smell when I tried to return it she said if I returned it she said she wouldn't sell me anything else. Not a problem will never buy anything again. Been a regular customer for years

It is your go to place for asian snacks and drinks. As well, they have ready to eat foods as well or pre cooked meals that need heating up. The selection for korean banchans is awesome as well as fresh raw fish and kimbaps. They also have a huge selection of instant noodles. Good shop, nice staff.

Staff is very helpful, lovely selection of Oriental products, and the veggies are priced very low, which is amazing for every day shopping. They also have a decent mock meat selection, which is perfect for vegetarians and vegans.
Great prices, a lot of Asian products, good prices on veggies too. The service is good, cashiers are always very nice and smiling. Only downside are the meat, and the dairy departments, not much choice. For the rest it is my go to store! I recommend it for every day groceries
