A lovely park in Prague where you can find peace and enjoy the great views.
There are playgrounds for children there so it suits families with kids as well.

Not knowing much about a Mucha, I loved seeing his work and leaning about his style, loved it the most of the three. The Dali exhibit was a nice change from the other Dali exhibitions I’ve seen. And I loved learning about Warhol/Warhola from a different perspective.
Easy access from city centre. I highly recommend this place for children and couples during summer ☀️. A perfect relax zone for gathering 😀
The food was great! I would recommend the schnitzel with mashed potatoes and Napoleon. The portions are very generous
A very particular and curious museum to see. I must honestly confess that initially I was in doubt whether to enter, but then it is an interesting experience also due to the theatrical ability of the guide who will immerse you in the explanation of the history of the KGB, but above all of the objects, some of which are truly rare and unobtainable. Wenceslas Square is one of the main city squares and the centre of the business and cultural communities in the New Town of Prague, Czech Republic. Many historical events occurred there, and it is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings.
The best spot, to see the whole area of the square is just on the top side from the National museum stairs. You can admire the architecture changes throughout the years from the oldest buildings to the latest modern sites.
While it is the most crowded place in the Czech republic I recommend to be aware of your belongings and careful about pickpockets.

Highly recommend, not a conventional museum but highly factual and enjoyable. I love Russian history and this was great fun, my wife is less keen on the subject but also enjoyed the time spent.

My favourite part is close to small ponds and newly renovated Slechtovka. Great viewpoint is from a small platform right next to Mistodrzitelsky letohradek.

Very cool place for a refreahing art stop.
We got tickets to see Dali and Andi Warhol and it was very cool.
Place is very clean, art is well displayed and it feels nice walking around.
The location is super comfortable near the astronomical clock so it is very central and easy to get there.
If you are up to something a bit different and want an art break you can hop on and get it!

Quite a busy place with all the cars running around and the restaurant in the middle. A bit confusing during daylight, I liked it more at night as it's quiet and the National museum lights are very attractive. The pedestrian part of it is good but it was quite chaotic when I visited at least.
A very unique experience. He explains a lot on how the kgb was organized and demonstrates and explains various wespons. A bit disturbing was when he showed a video of modern operations. Just say no when he asks to show it. Hes a bit crazy but i think its part of the show and he is very enthusiastic about hes collection.
You just have to visit it and witness the world of KGB. Many requisits, a very nice storyteller and a lot of history.
A tour costs 500 czech crowns aka 20€ and you can pay with cash or card.

Amazing park! It's really big so you can get lost walking and admiring the nature! Even if it's full of people you can still find spots to relax away from others.
At sunset there is a beautiful View of the Prague castle.
Well done modern museum but, hot damn, was that a lot of writing to read. Depending on your level of interest (and how much you want to read) you could spend 30 minutes or a couple hours walking around.
The day we went there were people there but it wasn't super busy, no need to buy a ticket in advance.

Interesting exhibition of the country from before WW2 right up to the fall of the communist block.
Really shows what people went through, the hardships, torture and just every day struggle under an oppressive regime.
The shame is that communism is intended to never let that happen, but humans will be humans.

An amazing historical bridge and well worth seeing. Just be prepared to face the crowds
Beautiful bridge with decoration in art nouveau style. Named after famous Czech writer, Svatopluk Čech.
A fantastic experience. The dark history of the KGB, with loads of great artifacts and the very best guide to demonstrate them. A truly immersive tour through the soviet years.
Museum multimedia life in the times of Charles iv and animated Prague etching from 1600’s. We worth a browse. Heavy on church construction but still contains many fascinating insights.
One of the busiest places in Prague for me but very stunning with a view of the National museum at the top of the square. Plenty of nice restaurants and we also visited vytopna railway restaurant and this for me was so fun and unique.

This is a hidden gem for those who interested in learning about Prague and Charles IV. It closes every Monday. The front door might be closed and doesn’t seem welcoming just open the door yourself. There are not many people at all during my visit, but it’s very a nice museum to visit with using techs and interactive approach, I love the staffs here they are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
I love this gallery so much, it’s right on the old town square and the view is so beautiful. I spent about three hours here (but I like to look at everything and read basically every description). I went quite late on a Tuesday afternoon and just got tickets at the door, it wasn’t crowded at all (also they started to ask people to leave about 7:30pm)

Very nice and calm museum, a bit hidden away which is why I guess it isn't packed. They make good use of relatively new technologies to display the past. The exhibition about Charles IV had some very well done videos and there were two city models where they used a laser projector to step by step explain how the city of Prague grew during the middle ages, which was very cool!

Very informative, mostly about the politics of communism. I would have liked to see more about common life for Czech people during those times.
One of the best museum in Prague. It's really cheap in comparison at how much you can see. Perfect for families: children's activities are many and various.
DON’T GO!! I agree with so many other 1 stars reviewers. This is not a great museum. It seems like they only care about the money. We payed 600 for the three exhibitions (we’re student). They didn’t check our student card. Then the disappointment: everything (!!!!) is a lithography (that means a copy) and some of them are really badly made: THERE WAS NO INFORMATION ABOUT IT BEFORE WALKING INSIDE!!!!! There’s not a single original piece of art !!! And then the girls working there don’t even know who the artists are: we’ve asked a very basic question just to test the knowledge and they didn’t even know not only the answer but even the person we were talking about! Sorry for interrupting time on your phone, but at least TRY to help us! Worst money spent in Prague!

Searching for a place to take my six-year-old daughter in Prague, this park was perfect! There are multiple playgrounds with rope courses, a zip line, monkey bars, and even a parkour course. There are trails, benches, shade, and clean restrooms.
It is a historical landmark of the Czech. The capital of prague.very beautiful...near the old town square.
Huge park not far from the Centre of Prague. Many picnic places, playgrounds, outdoor gyms etc. Great spot for runners. Used to be rubbish but now the park is super nice and clean.
The place is wonderful and beautiful, there are various restaurants to sit down or to order takeaway food and places to drink juice or coffee. Places remain open for a long time and there are shops 24/24 hours. The experience was wonderful

Really nice example of Czech cuisine. The pork leg might seem a bit smaller in the picture, but it's huge in real life, the meat fell off the bone! 10/10 would recommend.
What an experience to go back in time and read the text and time line and how surprest the people where the CCCP (iron curtain) just had their way and crushed every day common family and put them to hard work 14-16 hours a day 6 days a week.its been a delight spending a long weekend in Prague amazing weather it was great to cool down inside the museum of communism it was well set out on several floors with a cafe and gift shop all with air conditioning I mustn't forget the little film show enough room for about 20 - 30 people. So if you're stuck for something to do if the weather looks dodgy like for us and not enough time to to much and you like history give it a go also the under ground is right there
We took the underground tour of one hour with a very lovely guide it was interesting and very informative of the tower's history.

It is a good place to check out and doesn't take a lot of time if you have a lot you want to see in Prague. The exhibits are designed well. You get a sense of the impacts that communism had on the lives of every day people. Children should see this museum to see that communism is horrible and a bad idea.

We were a group of American college students and two professors, and we had Pavel as a guide. It was fascinating to hear a first person perspective of living under communism in Prague. I loved him as a guide: he made our visit much more enlightening.
It’s very happening place in front of the museum. Lots of shops and restaurants. Summer is the best time to see lots of activity. Day or night you can always be there. Place to sit and watch people if you are tired of walking.
I understand this is the oldest bridge in Czech. Beautiful l location. Boating is available in the river. The brass structure is said to be cast as a single piece
A really cool place to hangout! It has good shopping stores, food outlets and the view is amazing of the Museum!! Just sat for a while at one of the benches and saw a good idea to write down some good words on it!! Can visit and walk around the area!!
Extensive museum in restored medieval houses near the Tyn Church. Great introduction to life in the reigh of Charles IV & medieval Prague. Very inventive graphics & videos with artefacts & information in Czech & English 🇨🇿
I highly recommend visiting. Although the museum is really small, it’s jam packed with KGB weapons, uniforms, and other paraphernalia. The owner is a riot, and his enthusiasm is infectious. Really memorable, unique, and hilarious experience.

Highly recommended if you are interested in knowing more about the history of Soviet Union and Russia. The tour guide is very funny and informative let you know more details of past KGB how they used their secret weapons. There are many historical relevant things to demonstrate.

Excellent food, good location
A good place to chill out. There are arrays of benches to sit on. Especially in summer under the sun light. During the daytime it is a bit crowded and sometimes you can't get a free bench. There is also a wonderful museum which is worth going.

Number one in Prague. A guided tour option only but the guy is very passionate and well informed. The tours are mad to be entertaining and the whole thin is very interactive. I thought I knew a bit about the KGB but I didn't. After visiting here I do.

Overall very educational facility that teaches about communism from a Czech perspective. There is also some brief information about WWII as well. However, I felt like there were not enough physical objects from the Soviet era and most of the exhibits were just text on a wall about information I could have found online…
The place is super great 👍 Prices are reasonable as for the resort city. Staff is very friendly and thoughtful, moreover, they speak Czech, English, German and Russian which I find really helpful and client oriented.
The place serves traditional Czech dishes. We decided to go with the pig knee (vepřové koleno) and pickled camambert (nakládaný hermelín), for the drink we ordered a set of becherovka and beer. Everything was super tasty. Thank you!

I don't usually eat in this type of restaurant because it's not my kind of food. However we devoured everything, it was really delicious ! The workers were very friendly, the waiter nicely offered a change to the dish I wanted to suit my preference. Also, I am not a huge meat eater but here it was so good that I kept wanting more from my husband meals. We look forward coming back for our next visit in Karlovy Vary and 110% recommend. 👍💯
Tickets for tours can be purchased inside the old town hall. The tour includes access to view the mechanism inside of the clock as well as the underground rooms beneath the town hall and is well worth the money. This is the only way to go into the underground rooms, which are fairly interesting to see. You can buy tickets on the third floor but may need to come back another day for your tour, as they book up quite quickly.
Worth a visit. You'll be standing on lots of history with awesome views on both sides above the river.

Cool and large park, located north to Prague 1.
It is very green and clean, lots of places to seat, many artistic objects, great opportunity to take some pictures.

The restaurant had a lot of local dishes and czech cuisine. The chicken snitzel was the best dish according to my tastes. the salad with goat cheese was amazing as well. I found the chicken soup a bit tasteless. overall a very good experience, great variety of beers as well!
We ended up going here because the national gallery next door was closed. We are so glad we ended up here! If you like Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol or Alfons Mucha, this gorgeous little gallery is for you! And if you only like one or two, you can pay just for those floors!

Mandatory guided tour which the guide strongly recommended us to buy a brochure for the history and told Christianity stories...
WOW. First of all, when we came in, we were immediately seated by a waiter at a very nice table. Then, we were asked which drinks we want - and after that not even a minute passed that the drinks were given to us. Then we ordered - and after 25 short minutes, we got our delicious meals of chicken wings, sausages, and a schnitzel. These were really really delicious. We finished the food, and later were offered desserts, which we did get. And they were really delicious as well.
Shortly speaking - service is amazing, food is amazing and basically everything in this restaurant was great.

Michal), alla quale era annessa. All’inizio del XV secolo si trovava qui una cappella con la volta reticolata gotica, nella cui parte superiore fu rinvenuta una pittura murale dell’inizio del XV secolo raffigurante S. Procopio (sv. Prokop), S. Adalberto e S. Vito (sv. Vojtěch a sv. Vít), la quale fu rimossa, restaurata da František Sequens e conservata nel Museo della Città di Praga (Muzeum hl. m. Prahy). Nel 1594 c’erano già testimonianze di una casa più grande che sorgeva nello stesso luogo, nota dal 1684 come Casa all’Angelo e, dal 1726, come Casa all’Angelo Nero. Nella prima metà del XVIII secolo fu radicalmente rimaneggiata in stile barocco. A questa casa a due piani fu aggiunto il piano mansarda nel 1887. Sul lato sinistro della casa si trovava una viuzza che portava alla chiesa di S. Michele. Dopo l’abolizione della chiesa durante il periodo di Giuseppe II, la viuzza fu chiusa. La casa ha un bovindo sopra il portale in entrata, sul suo asse si trova un cartiglio con il dipinto di un angelo. La statua in pietra arenaria di S. Most important museum in Prague for history lovers!
As two archeologists we loved every minute of it and learned so much.
If you are looking for a place to learn about the history of Prague with great visual models and archeological artifacts and wonderful multimedia map of Prague this is the place!
And the staff are very kind and willing to help.

You will never look at Charles square the same way. I’ve found the museum very interesting and very engaging. Not at all a series of boring artefacts, but a lot of videos, models and projection, or a mix of the three. The name of the museum is confusing though as the main museum of the city of Prague is in Florenc and closed temporarily.
Whereas on the 1st floor was the main exhibition “In the footsteps of Charles IV,”, on the basement was also a very interesting exhibition about Jaroslav Foglar, a famous Czech writer for children and the exhibition was reconstituting the Prague streets and atmosphere described in his books. You also see references to comics Jan Fischer drew from his books. This exhibition, unlike the first one, isn’t English friendly but you can ask for the 2 printed sheets explaining the display.

Beautiful baroque-style Catholic church on Petrin Hill.
This was an amazing insight to the astronomical clock and the old town square. The main attractions were the law courts and then the ancient city that is underground. Due to water rising and floods everybody raised there house a level up making their old home their basement and this is all over the whole city of Prague. So there are many old ancient buildings in existence underground. This is well worth a visit and see how people lived in the medieval times
MAJESTIC! Unbelievable. Just mesmerising. If you’re in prague you have to party but also, you have to come here. The architecture, the heights, the castles. It looks like dream. You can see the whole city from here. I went to Prague on bachelor’s and still we had an amazing time here

A nice small church in lush green garden. I have not entered the church, but it looked very nice and calm.
I found this place to have the best view of the city. Really calm and quiet if you go early. You can take some nice panoramic pictures.

Originally, the house of the Golden (black) angel was built in the Gothic style, later rebuilt in early Baroque style and around 1720 in the top Baroque style. In the eighties of the 19th century it was raised by one floor. The bay (former chapel) has a Gothic vault from 15th century. Cellars have preserved it´s Gothic character, on the ground floor there are the top baroque vaults. The statue of St. Florián by I. F. Platzer from 1760 is placed at the corner. After the lost battle of Bílá hora, the "winter king" Frederick Falcký stayed in this house overnight.

V osmdesátých letech 19. století byl zvýšen o patro. Arkýř (bývalá kaple) má gotickou síťovou klenbu z 15. století. Sklepy si zachovaly gotický charakter, v přízemí jsou vrcholně barokní klenby. Na nároží je umístěna socha sv. Floriána od I. F. Platzera z doby po roce 1760. Po prohrané bitvě na Bílé hoře v domě přespal „zimní král“ Fridrich Falcký.

At night this place definitely offers great views. A really beautiful overview of the city is seen and relaxing too. Really nice on a dry warm evening.
This is an interesting trip, I recommend trying; the entrance is at the basement of the town hall building. The underground can be visited only as part of a guided tour: the tour guide will give you a badge and will escort you through the cells telling you the story of the old town undergrounds.

The Black Tower of Prague Castle guards the eastern entrance. It offers stunning views of the town and is a wonderful place to visit, especially when the skies are clear.
