The atmosphere at night and during the day is entirely different, with churches, castles, restaurants, street grills, and enticing signs for cream-filled cakes. It's a spectacle to watch the clock tower strike the hour, but be cautious of pickpockets. Some female friends I know had their wallets stolen twice in one day—one time from the backpack, and when they returned to the hotel with a small change purse, it disappeared along with the phone charging cable. In crowded squares, it's advisable to wear a side bag in front, not on the back.

Letná Park, located in Prague, Czech Republic, is a popular recreational area known for its beautiful views, historic significance, and various attractions. Here are some of the highlights of Letná Park:

1. Panoramic Views: Letná Park offers stunning panoramic views of Prague's cityscape, including the Vltava River, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the Old Town. The elevated location of the park provides an excellent vantage point to admire the city's landmarks.

2. Metronome: One of the most prominent features of Letná Park is the Metronome, a giant functional art installation that replaced the former Stalin Monument. The Metronome symbolizes the passage of time and has become an iconic landmark in Prague.

3. Gardens and Green Spaces: Letná Park is a perfect place for leisurely walks, picnics, or simply relaxing in nature. The park features well-maintained gardens, shady tree-lined paths, and spacious green areas where locals and visitors can enjoy outdoor activities.

5. Sports Facilities: The park offers various sports facilities for outdoor activities. There are jogging and cycling paths, tennis courts, and a skate park, providing opportunities for exercise and recreation.

6. Hanavský Pavilion: The Hanavský Pavilion is a charming Art Nouveau building located within Letná Park. It offers a café with outdoor seating, where visitors can enjoy refreshments while taking in the park's scenic surroundings.

7. Letná Beer Festival: Letná Park hosts an annual beer festival, attracting beer enthusiasts from all over the city. The festival showcases a wide selection of Czech and international beers, accompanied by live music, food stalls, and a festive atmosphere.

8. Cultural Events: Letná Park serves as a venue for various cultural events throughout the year. These events include music concerts, art exhibitions, outdoor film screenings, and festivals, adding vibrancy and entertainment to the park.

Whether you're seeking panoramic views, a peaceful stroll, or a lively beer garden atmosphere, Letná Park has something to offer for everyone.
One of my favorite places to study. The library is big and it offers many beautiful places, like the garden or the old corridors. Individual study room is very comfortable, it has nice chairs, huge desks and many outlets. The main study room has more spots but it is older and less comfortable, although it is very beautiful. To enter you have to leave the jacket and backpack, which you can leave in the wardrobe or in the lockers, but you can bring smaller bags.
This could have been so much better. Start is great, first few rooms are great, good light, morbid torture devices and really cool descriptions. But it is like they just lost interest along the way, first descriptions are gone one by one, in last few rooms there are no any descriptions at all, just mannequins in cages. And the worst thing is lighting. You can find some descriptions by accident in the dark corner there is no light so you cant read it without flash from mobile phone. Just like with descriptions the longer you walk the darker it gets. You can see there are lights on the wall but they just dont work. Its like no one did any maintenance there in few months and bulbs are fried. Last mannequin is just in dark black hole without any light. Again you need flash from mobile phone to even see it. Wouldnt be surprised if many people didnt even see half of the exhibits in the end. Because few people that were in front of us just walked by them without stopping and checking dark corners and holes.

First time in Prague and was well worth a visit. Loads to see and do and countless places for something to eat / drink...would go back without hesitation. Spectacular at night.
Loved stopped off to see the book tower. There was a small queue but it moved very quickly and we got time to have a good look and take some photos before moving on. Worth a visit if you're pottering around the town.

This city park is gorgeous during the fall, and offers wonderful views of the city year round. You'll have a fair climb up to the park from street along the river, but you can use stairs ir a very long ramp. The park has many fields, walkways, and benches. There's also a skating park area and a pond. It's a perfect place for a date, walking dogs, playing with your kids, or spending some time alone.
The book tower is a masterpiece!
The so-called Idiom, a column made of 8,000 books !!
The old doorman was very rude. The rule in the library is no coats and bags - but some people are allowed to make exceptions. 🤨 😠 It was so cold today that I was asked to take off my jacket and just wear a sleeveless top, while some people were allowed to go right in with their down jackets. When we questioned the discrimination, he couldn't afford any reasonable explanation and started to yell at us in Czech out of nowhere. This is truly ill-mannered and unacceptable.

The front desk staff can speak English and be helpful.

The library itself is fine. But it's truly a shame we had to encounter this awful treatment.

Cobbled streets with amazing architecture, old town square in Prague is a fine piece of art. It's like a painting 😍

One of the best squares i have seen in any of the European cities. You get hacked, when you are strolling on the cobbled streets of this place. And take turns to explore each of the location.

I strongly recommend to visit this place if you happen to be in Prague 👍👌

Nice place to roam around and enjoy the The Old Town Square in Prague is a picturesque and historic gem, featuring stunning architecture, including the iconic Astronomical Clock and the Church of Our Lady before Týn. The square is bustling with activity, from street performers to market stalls, making it a vibrant and cultural hub. The atmosphere is truly enchanting, especially during the Christmas market season. It's a must-visit for anyone exploring Prague's rich history and charm.
As expected, a crowd to visit this tower of books. Nice for a picture, we waited for around 40 mins. Before cloaing line is very small so go there before closing

If you are interested in old architecture, this area is incredibly exciting to visit. It is nice, clean and cozy here. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, cafes and bars, so there are many places to sit and relax. There is a good atmosphere here, but also many tourists. 5 stars from me. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Walking through Old Town Prague felt like stepping into a beautiful dream. The old buildings, with all their intricate details and stories, just took my breath away. Despite their age, there’s a certain vibrancy and charm they radiate that’s hard to put into words. During the day, you’re met with a tapestry of history and artistry. But come nightfall? Oh, the magic! The entire town transforms, with lights casting shadows that make the streets seem even more enchanting. If you ever get the chance, take a stroll through Old Town, day or night. It’s an experience that stays with you.
Very interesting museum and well worth a visit if you enjoy classical music. I learned so much about the life if Smetana. Staff are friendly and helpful!

Great central plaza in the Old Town area to eat, site see, and people watch. Lots of cafes for indoor and outdoor dining. Make sure to watch the wonderful Astronomical Click with a mechanized skeleton ringing a bell. Several beautiful monuments within the plaza with benches to whileaway while you people watch and some great churches to explore. Enjoy your time here!

Possibly the best spot to watch the sunset in Prague. Vegetation has grown since some of the pictures you can see online, so it is not as nice as it used to be.

Other than that, it is a nice enough park to stroll around but I would not get out of my way to visit it.

There are toilets available, but portable.
The elderly male guards should stop harassing people sitting in the garden 😬😬😬 I was working at a table alone just now and one of them started screaming from across the courtyard for me to come over, asked me if I understood Czech at all (I do moderately), then repeatedly pointed at the stickers at the garden door explaining how I must keep the door shut—it was another person who had left it open as I told him—then he said it made no difference and patted me on the shoulder 🤮 Sat 30 September 14:15

It’s a darn shame and not the first time this happens.

Otherwise the library is fine, with a lovely historical reading hall and a decent collection (I only wish they returned the longer opening hours)

Huge park, lots of stairs tough, but once you get up you’re very well rewarded with this amazing view of City of Prague. A lot of places to chill or even have a bath. You can even train in there or do other activities.
An underestimated park with a great and free panoramic view towards the city with all bridges and the river. Very nice spot, easy climb and big enough for everyone.
Well, a nice way to attract attention to books, I commend them on that, and my rating goes for that rather then the tower. The tower is cool, yes but it's too much of an IG spot rather than meaningful to the library. It's free to visit, the central entrance, there's usually a line.
Very intriguing but dark place. Many exhibits and descriptions of torture. The sounds of the victims' suffering create a specific atmosphere of the Middle Ages. It's quite dark in the dungeons, but you can use the flashlight on your phone. Only the cashier lady should occasionally smile because she looks like a character from part of the exhibition.
Scams for tips
I wasn’t asked to tip anywhere in Prague as it’s not common but I wasn’t even asked. They put in a tip in the bill then randomly read through your bill quickly to get you to say ok and then take the machine themselves and hit yes to everything to scam for tips. It is more the principle of deception by far than the money. I would have rather given to one of the homeless there, so ruined our overall experience.

The park is enormous and full of things to explore. There is a lake to enjoy, sculptures to see, benches to read and sit down to take in the view, plenty of green and activities you could engage in.
The Prague Old Town Square is something really special. It's truly unlike any other place. The unique vibe and atmosphere make it stand out. The historical significance and the overall greatness of this square are quite impressive. If you want crowd free picture, come early in the morning
A quiet and beautiful place. We entered during a hot summer day and found here a perfect place to rest and admire some of the greatest baroque pieces or art. Everything is self service and the church is open anytime for anyone. I recommend.
Fun museum with a pleasant ambience, quite cheap to enter, nice amount of things to see though quick to finish. The interactive conductors area was a great addition to the museum as it allowed visitors to enjoy some great music.
The paid part of the museum is located underground, so it has a proper climate. It was scary and interesting at the same time. In the background there are agony sounds from games like Gothic and they repeat really often, what can be irritating to some. The pile exposition wasn't working during my visit.

Open every time I have visited, morning and evening. Beautiful daily mass and blessed silence in the city center! Amazing place to pray with few tourists and finally a church where all are free to enter and pray any time. So fortunate to visit the blessed sacrament here. 🙏❤️‍🔥🕊️
Good places for make nice photos
It’s beautiful, but it doesn’t worth it. You can’t step inside the library, only taking pictures from a dark hallway.
Not recommended.

Btw, there is an elevator, but you are not allowed to use it.
An awful excuse of a museum. I struggle to understand how this has received any positive reviews; too much beer maybe?

It’s very small. Signage is non existent, or impossible to read. A torch is required- as many of the displays aren’t lighted.

Even the lady running the museum seemed surprised we wanted to see it. I include several pictures of what you will actually see - a whole lot of nothing.

Note- I had to remove several pictures (essentially a blacked-out picture of rooms without any lights) as it somehow broke Google’s rules (ludicrous!).
The library in Prague is a haven for book lovers, offering a captivating blend of stunning architecture and a vast collection of literary treasures. Stepping inside, you'll be greeted by grand halls adorned with beautiful murals and rows of shelves brimming with books. It's a serene sanctuary that invites you to explore the wealth of knowledge and immerse yourself in the world of literature. The library is not only a treasure trove of books but also a cultural hub, hosting events and exhibitions that celebrate the power of words. A visit to this remarkable library is a must for anyone seeking inspiration and a deeper connection to the written word.
Nothing special, small place and expensive for what you will get in

In honor of Smetana's achievements, he retains his spirit. You can experience good music in a good place. It was a cultural space to learn from. However, the admission fee is questionable. The ticket says 30kc, but we received 50kc each. There are improvements to be made in this part.

It’s a beautiful large park. I went there for a walk almost every day during my stay in Prague as it was near my accommodation.
It’s very suitable for families and felt safe for me to walk there alone (I didn’t go there during the night tho). There’s quite a few benches and spots to sit on the grass under the shade.
There are some really beautiful views over Prague from the park.
Most foreigners go there to see the book tower. It's a good piece of art to attract readers and book lovers. It consists of 8000 books, 5m hight, 2m diameter. Very close to the square of the Old town.
The horrible long waiting queue might let people go without watching this unique piece of art, yet it really worth the wait specially for book lovers. A must visit when you are in Prague.
DO NOT GO ! the guided tour is fraud ! they do not let you enter the library, they just open you the door and say "this is the library, see it from here, do not make any step in it!" .
The people at the entrance were not helpful. The view from the tower nothing special, you can have better view from the castle ! The worst tour / exhibition I have been in Prague. There are many more better places to visit .

Visited Prague last year in December while the Christmas markets where going on. The square was a highlight of the whole trip. Some restaurants are expensive and aimed at tourists. But the market stalls that sold food where all very reasonable. It was magical and it really felt like Christmas
The library is beautiful but your not allowed to enter it. the ticket is around 8€ and a bit expensive for seeing a dark library from the door.

A large and imposing church with beautiful baroque architecture
The church is a large one, but is almost lost from view in the winding streets of the Old Town. Near to sites like the Golden Tiger and the Bethlehem Chapel, St Giles’ Church is worth seeing if you are in the area. The interior is one of pure baroque splendour and it is a peaceful place where one can rest and contemplate. Despite being in the heart of the old town, it is less visited than many other attractions.
Very nice but you are not allowed to be in the library. They allow you to take a picture from a distance without entering.

Guide English level was not good enough. So we didn't understand his accent.
So cool, dark and interesting.
Some of the instruments can also be seen in Prague castle, in a more authentic/boring vibe.
Not a lot special here
A lot of witch hunting, burning, etc

A voir si ça vous de passage sur Prague.
The museum was a bit small, no proper lighting, although they tried to achieve a certain vibe for the exhibition, it was difficult to see the exhibition or read what was written. A bit disappointing but would be interesting and worth the price if you could read the information. Also no toilets. Student discount until the age of 26 (26 not included).

A to v Praze chybí.
This is a review of the National Library only, not the Klementinum (the historial part). I don’t think this is a good regular study space—you need to pay 20 Kc to enter, while many other libraries are free.

You first need to go to the cloakroom on the left of the turnstiles, pass the personnel your bag and coat, enter the main hall to buy a card for 20 Kc, then return to the hallway to tap the card on the turnstiles to enter.

There were spaces available when I visited, and a bistro inside.

There is really only one hallway that looks historical and pretty—the rest are modern library spaces, like that of the Municipal Library next door.

If you want to study, you might as well use the free Municipal Library, which is near this building. Unless you need something specifically from this library, I don’t think it’s worth visiting this.

If you approach this church, it doesn't look like much. The inside, however, is a work of art. Definitely worth checking out if you are passing by.
I think the museum is super. The setting is terrifying, it's scary, especially if you go alone and there are no people in the museum, as it happened to me. The information is very detailed and impressive, it was a very intense experience.
Erected in the 15th century, whereby Kafka is known to live there between 1.889-1.896
Everyone goes for the spiral pile of books. Yeah, looks nice but not big deal, people care too much about the ig pic, I think. Sometimes even has a line for it! And Prague is so nice so this cannot be overrated. It's worth a few minutes around.

Found this church entirely by accident but like seemingly most churches around prague it took your breath away with the grandeur of the place
The House at the Minute at number 3 (Dům U Minuty) is undoubtedly one of the most dazzling houses you will encounter on our free Prague walking tour. It was originally a late-Gothic house from the 15th century that received a Renaissance makeover in 1564.
The house is famous for its numerous beautiful sgraffito etchings that were added to the facade in 1610. The white etchings on the black facade depict Habsburg rulers like Philip II of Spain, Rudolph II, and Maxmilian II, among others along with scenes from Greek mythology and references to biblical and Renaissance legends.
The house has served many purposes and has had varied names. At one time it was an apothecary and called “The House at the White Lion” for the sculpture of the white lion at the corner.
The house also once served as a tobacconist shop, and the current name, “House at the Minute” was taken from the word ‘minute,’ i.e., very tiny, referring to the diminutive pieces of tobacco sold there.
It is also famous for being the childhood home of Franz Kafka and his family in the late 19th century.

It gets under shadow at 12 half of the year ;). It does not follow the day saving time.
This is a very old church that seems to have been swallowed up by the advance of the city, the outer walls still maintain some inkling of what this might have been in the 14th century but the interior is all in 18th century baroque style and similar to many other churches across the former Holy Roman Empire after the Counter-Reformation took hold.

Great to visit because it's a lesson of history and art and off the trodden tourist path so you can enjoy it to the fullest
Really interesting museum, mainly suitable for musicians and music lovers. It's difficult to appreciate for those unfamiliar with classical music and Smetana's work.

A fabulous and extensive park with sweeping panoramic views of one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Dog friendly and with plenty of beer gardens. Can get busy but extensive enough that you'll always find somewhere. Well situated, away from the major tourist routes but within easy walking distance of the castle and the technical museum. A good place to escape the throng of the city center and cool off in the shade.

I love the way this building looks! I want this to be my wallpaper in my room
Very small museum of only one floor. All the exhibits were high quality. Probably need to be a fan of Bedrich Smetana or have a knowledgeable about opera and classical music. They do hand out guides in many languages including Chinese, German and English, but all the major items have at least an English exhibit label.

I visited as part of the National Museum combined ticket, otherwise I’d probably not have visited.

Es curioso, un pasaje con tiendas y una decoración muy art nouveau, también hay antigüedades, una cafetería..
Merece la pena atravesarlo para ver cómo son estos pequeños centros comerciales.
Very nice for children - 5 floors of fun interactive exposition. Admission is Free for kids up to 18. An adult 150 kc. There is also nice garden in the museum with carousel and chickens running around. The view from the rooftop on all Prague is spectacular. In the garden you can have your lunch or eat in the nice cozzy restaurant. Food was good and I got the best salad in czech republic in 13 years that I live here. Enjoy 😁

Historically, where the sun marked 12pm. Fun landmark to spot. It can be a little hard to find.
As you cross over Charles Bridge you will not miss this beautiful museum that is dedicated to the life and works of famous Czech composer Bedřich Smetana
Exhibits include copies of letters, photographs and newspaper cuttings relating to Smetana’s life as well as various personal possessions. There are also folders on music stands which contain material about some of Smetana’s most famous works.

This is an excellent museum on the banks of the river with good displays about the life of this composer. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

That said, dad this museum is really on a specialised subject, the main interest for tourists will be the paintings on the external walls, which are quite amazing.

Maybe its not the most distinctive church in Prague from the exterior, but I invite you to enter it. One of the most intricately decorated church interiors, with a beautiful Baroque style, it didn't cease to amaze me.
I strongly recommend attending one of the sublime concerts they host, the atmosphere elevates the musical experience so high.
