When I visited Washington with my family, we also visited the National Gallery of Art. Of course, only a part, because it is not possible to capture everything that can be seen in a few hours. A few days of intensive sightseeing and study would definitely be necessary. Magnificent.
Excellent exhibit for those that love Ancient Asian Art History (Asian Art History Before the Renesaince).
I especially loved the Neolithic exhibit room. The Jade craftsmanship was amazing. I good exhibit for art during the peak of the Silk Road with a room to my favorite dynasty, which was also one of the few Epoch Dynasties, which is the Song or Tong Dynasty. I only wish they had more Southern Song pieces. The Northern Song Dynasty was the epoch dynasty as it is the dynasty that united China. The Southern Song Dynasty was when enough neighboring Mongolian nations got together and defeated the Song Dynasty, causing them to flee and make a new capital in southern China, thus beginning the Southern Song Dynasty. This reflects in the art of the artist difference between the northern and southern Song or Tong Dynasties.
This place is a must visit! It is such a unique experience. The views are absolutely gorgeous. It is worth every penny! I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary if visiting NYC. It was a little bit hot inside but the views were so amazing that it didn’t matter much. I would love to come back again and see it at night time. The experience start to finish was fantastic.

What a spectacular experience 👌
To all of you, NY lovers, photography gurus, social media rats, etc..
Don't go, RUN there!
I've been in quite a few of the best skyscrapers of Manhattan, but the mirrors which are all over the place.. Making it a totally different ballgame!
I must say that it was more crowded than I wish, as it made shooting quite a challenge, but than it is August.. the city is packed with tourists.
It's definitely worth another visit.. it should be interesting during the snow season.
Very good view of Manhattan. The glass floor is quiet impressive. There are two floors available for observation. If you move to the second floor you cannot go back to the first floor. You either stay there or proceed to the exit. Visited at 6 pm and stayed there enough to view the city at night. A whole new experience.

Boy oh boy did I have a great time at the Brooklyn museum! Very clean, friendly staff & the entire exhibit on Jay Z was one of a kind. Worth the trip to NY
360° views with a punch. There’s multiple floors and activities to do at summit. The best building to conquer in the city. It offers the best view in my opinion. I went there at 9:30 pm Thursday night and it was PACKED. This doesn’t come with the CityPASS so you’re gonna pony up some hard earned dough for the well deserved praise and clearly astonishing views. The staff were cool. It was very cloudy when I went but I still had a blast. You’re verbatim in the clouds, any higher and you’re gonna need a protective space suit. The best time to come is an hour before sunset, so you can experience both day and night on the highest point of the city. The gift shop is whack for not having a metal replica of the building, but that’s a minuscule issue.
Will be back. Probably the second best museum in the world next to the Louvre. Unfortunately I only had 2 hours to explore. You could easily take multiple days exploring and seeing the colossal collection that they have. I saw arms / swords / guns, ancient Egypt, Arab art, and little bit of European art. Van Goghs starry night was there. I couldn’t go because you have to sigh up for it. Which I think is a silly hoop to make your visitors go through. You can feel the love the establishment in charge and government of NY put into this place. Conveniently located in the center of the eastern vertical part of Central Park.
Beautiful museum. My kids enjoyed it very much and didn't complain throughout the whole time. The gift shop had prices not too expensive unlike some museums I've come across. I recommend taking your family with you.

A worthy experience that beats the Empire State. Ladies be sure not to wear dresses or skirts if you don’t want your body parts showing. Buying tickets right before sunset runs out fast so buy tickets ahead (the transition is gorgeous). Overall, awesome!
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is an absolute gem in New York City. As a cultural enthusiast with a passion for history, culture, and religion, this museum is a paradise of knowledge and inspiration. What makes it even better is that it's free for New Yorkers, a fantastic perk that encourages locals to explore the vast array of art and artifacts from around the world.

Walking through its hallowed halls, you'll be immersed in a tapestry of human creativity, from ancient civilizations to contemporary masterpieces. The museum's vast collection includes stunning artworks, sculptures, and historical artifacts that span centuries, cultures, and continents. The exhibitions are meticulously curated, offering deep insights into the rich tapestry of human existence.

Whether you're intrigued by ancient civilizations, fascinated by religious artifacts, or simply appreciative of the beauty of human expression, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has something for everyone. From its exquisite Egyptian artifacts to the captivating European paintings, every corner holds a treasure waiting to be discovered.

Even beyond the permanent collections, the museum hosts numerous special exhibitions, lectures, and events that further enrich your understanding of the world's history, cultures, and religions. It's a place where you can broaden your horizons and deepen your appreciation for the diverse facets of human civilization.

Visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art isn't just a museum trip; it's a journey through time, space, and the remarkable ingenuity of humanity. Whether you're a local New Yorker or a curious traveler, this institution is a must-visit, offering an enriching experience that lingers long after you've left its magnificent halls.
A world class museum that offers iconic pieces of legendary art from legendary artists. The wait inside is long, with lines being stretched down the staircase and to the streets. Inside, there is a metal detector machine to detect threats. That part was a bit of a hassle, but is necessary given the gun laws and stuff. The interior of the museum is cramped with people, lining up to buy tickets and stuff, which is why I definitely recommend you buy the tickets beforehand. The exhibits on display are numerous and historically significant. There are works from many various ancient cultures and societies. I enjoyed the beautiful works of art from the periods 1800-1900. Additionally, the Roman busts are quite magnificent to look at. Overall, this is a must-visit museum.
Most spectacular museum!!!!
The museum collections are enormous. I must been here close of 100 times for past 25 years. Never had I been here and not seeing anything new. As busy as it gets, but you can always find a quiet corner, just you and the arts. Many different art works from around the world. From traditional to modern, and anything in between. Roof top installation is must see. You get to take in not just art but also view of the Central Park and the impressive nyc skyline. Music event on Friday abs Saturday are super fun. My favorite is to come for industry gala. It’s something special. And this museum is something truest special.
Ticket is $30 per adult. Pay you wish if you have NY and NJ license.

Not really my type of art—I think I'm just not into modern art, but it's a cool building with colourful bathrooms. The view from the top floor is pretty nice too.

The Summit is a social media experience first. The "observation deck" is an excellent backdrop for the reflective experience. There are unparalleled views of Manhattan's icons from every direction. The staff is numerous and incredibly friendly. The venue offers casual food and beverage, and extensive museum quality shop, and compelling photo concessions. This attraction is very busy and appears to be admitting more customers than they are designed to handle. Be patient. It's worth it.

Beautiful museum with an interesting design that takes you through several floors with a winding staircase. Elevator is also available with benchs in front of elaborate paintings and sculptures allowing vistors to spend time admiring them. The shop also is worth checking out. It has interesting items and coffee shop as well.

I went there on Sunday afternoon. The structure of the museum is quite big but it has only few artworks inside. The thing that I really didn’t like was the selection of artists inside. I would recommend to get a stronger curator and think wisely what to show. Some of the shows are not even art . I wouldn’t go back.. but maybe for a first visit can be nice
This was a great experience for my kids. It opened their eyes to a new world. They were able to distinguish between the different styles, eras and artists. I will really recommend this for any parent or anyone interested in art.
This is the best museum in the city. We could spend all day here. It’s an easy 5 hours.
It’s incredible to be surrounded but such beautiful art and history from all over the world. Being surrounded by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Monet, Manet and so many more is simply magical.
Stepping into the statues and monuments from Egypt and Rome is breathtaking.
To note as well, the security line is efficient and the restaurant serves actual food. Best experience in the city!
Wonderful collection of art from Asia and also a neat Egyptian exhibit. There are some pretty old works here, including some from the Neolithic period! The museum is on the smaller side but has plenty of fascinating exhibits ranging from wood-carved sculptures to ink paintings. I recommend checking it out.

There are full of corners that can easily take you back to the 19th century. You don't necessarily would get there early for Broadway theaters, but please do for shows in Park Avenue Armory. It's more like going to a home theater of someone's mansion than dedicated performance theater, which is sometimes cold.

Except for the sadness of missing Juliet Stevenson the night we attended (and Dee Nelson was outstanding anyway!), our experience with "The Doctor" and the Armory location was transcendent!
Small, you'll spend ~1 hr here. You will find many genuinely incredible pieces by Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso and others. There are free roaming guides you can walk up to and ask questions. Walk-in entry is $10, discounts available. Well worth visiting.

The New Museum"s exhibitions and programming has gotten so good over the last few years. Makes it worthwhile to be a member and see every new show. Currently there are 2 must-sees: Pepon Osorio (2nd fl) and Mire Lee (5th fl), and a wall piece by Wynnie Mynerva in the lobby.

saw 'the doctor' starring juliet stevenson here. the play itself was good although was far too undecided to feel like it was saying anything substantial besides 'wow isn't this all quite complicated'. but the venue was stunning, particularly the lounge. good views from all the seats also as they're all tiered - we were sat in the back row and could see everything well.
Everything is great about this place. I am pretty sure it is impossible to see everything in a single visit, possibly two, from how massive this place is. Took the kids, and they were having a blast looking at everything while asking questions, trying to learn about everything we saw.

Honestly, there is very little to complain about. It may be crowded at times... but if that happens, move to a different area and come back later. Walking around almost becomes an adventure, as it can feel like a maze at times 😀

It's great. We loved it. Look forward to visiting again whenever we get a chance to come back to NYC.

The museum is relatively small and can be toured in 1 hour. The rooftop view is pretty good and the “My Beating Heart” exhibit was very interesting.
Wonderful exhibit of Asian art. I only saw the Japanese in Chinese exhibits but there are many more to see. If you want to see the whole museum plan on several days.

Pay what you can when you enter. Beautiful work, beautiful historic school turned art gallery. I stood in front of the giant Kehinde Wiley piece for a while and just marveled at it. The building is full of Black, Native, LGBTQ artists and art that everyone should see. Maybe don't bring young kids to the basement level though, there is some... dark stuff down there. Got a nice iced coffee on my way out. Loved the experience!
One of the city’s best attractions. You’ll definitely want to spend at least a full say to properly savor the art displayed throughout the pavilions.
The museum has such an incredible collection of art pieces starting from the Egypt galleries throughout the medieval times and even modern times.
If you’re interested in coming in for the weekend, would recommend Sunday as street parking in the area is free. But it does get crowded on summer weekends
We've wanted to go to this museum for a long time, but we've only just been able to go. We will go again, especially since we couldn't catch the butterfly section. other chapters human history, diversity of animals, visual effects were very good. skeletons of dinosaurs and models of animals were superb. It is necessary to come early in the morning.

Beautiful space, interesting history of the building, beautiful staircase, sculptures and paintings gives the space zen vibes. The cafe is quite serene, plenty of space, peaceful music, nice selection of treats. Interesting selection of Himalayan and Tibet Buddhism art; including Nepal, India, China. The Mandala Lab is a casually fun experience, enjoy the bongs, let go of your anger.

Rude security officer and not much art
Dangerously low rail that you wouldn't stop you from falling over to your death. Security officer said that they were closing soon when it was 3:59pm but Google Maps says that it doesn't close until 5:00pm. I guess he just wanted to leave early.
Great museum. It’s not too large so you don’t need too much time to see the whole thing. I came on a Saturday in July and it was not at all busy. Best exhibit here is the display of ancient Chinese jade. And of course it’s free time enter. 5/5.
Prepare to run out of phone memory from all the photos you'll be taking. The views from the summit are spectacular on all 4 sides (including the bathrooms have floor to ceiling windows). I recommend dedicating easily 2+ hours for this attraction as there are interactive things to do in every floor. I'd say show up two hours before sunset (cheaper tickets) and then spend the hours leading up to sunset exploring the first 2 floors before going up to the terrace as you cannot go back down to the other floors once you move up. Overall highly recommend and can see myself taking friends and family there in the future.
The National Gallery of Art is certainly a must-see on any trip to DC. It took us about 3 - 4 hours or so to see both the east and west buildings. We went on a weekend and it wasn't incredibly busy -- it was comfortable enough to stop and see everything without it being crowded. The pieces of art were absolutely stunning! I specifically enjoyed the Dutch 17th Century paintings -- interesting to see the detail that went into this work, even being several hundreds of years old. It says a lot about humanity and what has been accomplished. Overall, I would absolutely recommend a visit to anyone in the DC area.

Went today. 12 July 23. Interesting exhibits. Spacious. Cool. Fear-inducing elevators that seem to never arrive and then won’t go. Take the stairs if you can.
Visiting the Buddha Room provided a serene and calming experience which alone is worth the visit. For those who appreciate ancient sculptures (dating back to 2000+ BCE), there are abundant beautiful pieces to admire. The whole place exudes a wonderful and positive energy.

This is truly one of the must-see museums in all of Washington. I visited this past 4th of July holiday, and I was blown away by all the fantastic exhibits that they have on display. A person would need two visits in order to see everything. This museum, which is under construction, is very large and well maintained. Security can be very strict, which is understandable. This place has a lot of pieces from well-known artists. They also have several cafes and gift shops to check out during your visit. Overall, if you are an art lover, then I recommend checking this place out. It is absolutely spectacular and the price of admission is even better.....free.

The Rubell Museum DC is a hidden gem in the city's art scene. Housed in a beautifully renovated former school building, it offers free admission for DC residents, making it accessible to all. The eclectic collection of works is a testament to the curators' vision, featuring a diverse range of modern art. From paintings to sculptures and installations, each piece captivates and sparks contemplation. The museum's layout is thoughtful, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, providing valuable insights into the artwork. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious, the Rubell Museum DC is a must-visit destination, offering a unique and enriching cultural experience.

I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful this play was (The Doctor). The acting was perfect, the direction was amazing. I had a wonderful evening. I look forward to returning many, many times for future events. If you are "on the fence" regarding this play, think no further and go.
One of the best museums in the world.
It’s possible for a visitor to spend a day here and have seen something beautiful in a beautiful place. Two days would probably make it feel like it does to me. A familiar, beautiful place. Probably my favorite place to spend time in the City.

It’s quiet and crowded. Special exhibitions are often packed but worth it (show up early).

How kids engage the Met is often something joyful to see.

TIP: if you visit with a local, they can buy tickets for a reduced price. Weekends and Friday evenings are crowded.
One of the best art museums in the nation- with so many beautiful pieces of art from statues, to drawings, and paintings. The entire day was spent here admiring the beautiful pieces of art and there was such a wonderful variety of styles. Would 100% recommend if you are in the DC area.
Fantastic art museum. I didn’t expect it, but they a wonderful exhibit on northern renaissance painters. The highlight of the museum is easily Thomas Cole’s The Voyage of Life set. I came on a Saturday before the Fourth of July and it had some people inside, but to my surprise it was not overly busy. 5/5.

Absolutely marvelous museum and a great place to go if you're visiting NYC and want to get out of Manhattan for an afternoon! While not as large as some of the bigger museums in the city this place still can take a few hours to properly go through! The building is absolutely beautiful and the exhibits are all very well designed with detailed descriptions of each piece when possible. Highly recommend getting the combo museum & garden pass which gets you into the botanical gardens next door!
Wonderful and magical place where you can enjoy some of the world’s most beautiful paintings and pieces of art, by the biggest artists throughout the history. So worth visiting. They also have nice museum shop and restaurant. Free admission, which is really nice. You don’t have an excuse not to visit! Enjoy :-)
As an Asian going to this museum, not impressed and disappointed… underrepresentation of Asian culture. Most of the exhibits here are Chinese art and I only saw a very small section for other countries as Japan and Thailand. I would like to see more diverse countries such as Indian, Vietnamese, Mongolian, and others’ art and artifacts here in the future. Not worth visiting and a waste of time. The item in the gift shop aren’t very unique either. You should see the African Art Museum instead and let me tell you it is way better.

Really great museum tucked away in Chelsea. I was really pleased with the entire museum and thought that everything was displayed in a way that was incredibly flattering to the art itself as well as to the building as a whole. The museum is all centered around a beautiful staircase that spirals up the center of the building. There were a great amount of interactive exhibits and some very helpful staff!

Most museums with serious collections all seem to suffer from overcrowding, and the inability to get a close up look at the art. The Kreeger museum is the exact opposite. There were no crowds, and the majority of the paintings and sculptures have no ropes around them. I was allowed to get within inches of works by Picasso, Chagall, Monet, just to name a few. Once you step outside, the architecture is amazing, and the sculptures by Noguchi, Arp, Brzezinski are scattered thoughtfully around the property, inviting you to wander and explore both the manicured and wooded grounds. DC is a city awash in museums, but none of them will give you the personal experience of the Kreeger.

To be honest, I love the museum very much, and for a very long time I was going to get specifically to this museum. The only inspiring place it's rooftop. Otherwise, all the exhibits and paintings that I saw made me deeply depressed, and I left after 10 minutes.I do not want to offend anyone and I think that creativity is wonderful. Ah, but I probably just didn't get it. The only thing that seemed to me that the people who created it and have some kind of mental disorder. I would not advise anyone to visit this place if you have a healthy mind.

The Rubin museum is a must ! The Buddhist Tibetan art is beautiful! The mandala lab and art is amazing ! So spiritual. Truly enlightening! I was able to take a sound healing class and a guided meditation at the museum. The gift shop has great jewelry and cards and books and sound bowels! I am delighted my mandala collection is sold at this beautiful shop. Unique building that is historic and wonderful interior spaces, which being restored are a special performance stages. It can be utilized more, but certainly an additional room space for the performance chamber idioms.
A museum might not be the first place you think of when it comes to wedding venues, but a great location like Kreeger Museum is well worth checking out. The main indoor ceremony space is a perfect spot for an intimate wedding ceremony. The hardwood floors are lovely and give the room a warm feel, the huge windows on both ends of the space let in lots of light but the curtains ensure that it's soft and even, and the artwork hanging on the walls adds a touch of class and elegance. Perhaps the best part of a wedding at Kreeger Museum, though, is the chance to do your wedding portraits near the installations outside. Though you and your wedding photographers need to be careful not to touch any of the art, they can be used to create some really unique, one-of-a-kind portraits!

Have been to all the Observatories in New York City and in my opinion this is THE best!! Our experience was just amazing. The views are spectacular, perfect time to go during sunset! We were lucky to witness a gorgeous sunset as well as a full moon! The rooms are very well designed. The glass of this observatory is awesome, the photos come out amazing. We went on a weekend, there was a little bit of line to get to the elevator but that's totally understandable! It is totally worth the money! And if you are a photographer you will be not be disappointed with the shots from here. Everyone is given a shoe cover before going into the elevator. There is water fountain and restrooms at every floor. Overall, a must visit if you are in NYC and if you have to visit just one observatory, will suggest to go to this one.

The best thing about visiting this museum is witnessing the effort the team puts into each exhibit.

Information on how the museum came into possession of the art and stories on the artists are so well executed here.

There’s also a large collection of African art here and also many recent works from local artist which is great to see.

For those looking for classics there’s that too.

I spent 1.5 hours in this museum but I think a good amount of time to see everything would be 2 hours. We had to leave before because the museum was closing.

Overall, it was an amazing experience, especially since admission was "pay as you wish" (except for special exhibitions).

The museum's extensive collection spans many different eras and cultures, from ancient Egypt to contemporary art. The building itself is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room to explore and take in the exhibits. The exhibits feature current events, artifacts, and incredible works of art from all over the world. Visitors can expect a lot of walking, but it's worth it to see the art everywhere, from the entrance to even in the parking lot. It was an absolutely fantastic and informative experience.

I highly recommend visiting the Brooklyn Museum. It's a true gem in the heart of Brooklyn and a wonderful way to spend a day exploring art and culture.
This was such a waste of time. We saw the reviews and pics of what others saw, but none of that was in the museum this time. We love art museums and have visited most of the others in the city, both big and small museums. Sadly, this one was a huge let down and it only took us 5-10 mins to walk the gallery. My husband was very let down and we even heard another guest say it was the worst one they've been in. They make you sign in, which no other museum in the area does, very odd. They also make you hang your small backpacks on a hook at the front door and the only thing keeping someone from stealing it is the security guy who may or may not remember that it was your bag should someone decide to grab it 🤷‍♀️. At least offer secure lockers or a coat/bag check if you'll require it to not be in the gallery. I guess they don't have enough visitors for that to be an issue.

Super nice art museum! Great for a date spot. Small enough you’ll want to go slow, not large enough that there is plenty to see. The front door is a bit hard to locate with no sign. Would recommend!

Bonus: if you are a DC resident, the museum is free with ID!
An interesting little art museum featuring Latin American art in a building with very nice architecture. The museum is obviously smaller than the surrounding Smithsonians, but the collection is nicely themed. It is a shame it is such a long distance from the nearest metro. I don't think I would recommend it for someone with limited time to spend in dc, given the other options, but if you live here it's definitely a nice stop.

Ive been trying to come to the Rubell since it opened and the wait was worth it. The museum is an adapted high school that Marvin Gaye attended, and the entire musuem is curated around his song "what's going on"

I love how the school has been lovingly restored and is just as much on display as tnt art works. Speaking of, the curators are masters of their work! Each peice is carefully exhibited and hung to best display the art. 10/10 will definitely come back and you should too.

Heads up you have to grab a timed ticket so don't just pop up at the musuem.

Three of my all time favorite artists have works here and i was pleasantly surprised! I wont post pics of the art because i don't want to spoil it for you. But I've posted pictures of the exhibition texts.

Hidden gem of queens. I've been meaning to go to this museum ever since I drove past it years ago. I just never knew how to get there. I ended up going and learning so much about the area and about the world fair. I wish this would be possible again but I don't forsee that happening. If you have the time on a Sunday definitely go take a look and take a walk outside once your done

I had a pleasant visit to the Rubell Museum in DC. The exhibition spaces were well-designed, and it's a bonus that admission is free for DC residents. Keep in mind that if you bring a backpack, you'll need to use one of their free lockers. Overall, it's a great experience that I'd recommend to both locals and visitors alike!
Great museum in 2 buildings. Was thankfully not overly crowded and very spacious. We spent a good 2 hours seeing the exhibits including the Peacock Room. It's got a lovely formal Moon Gate garden behind it as well. Go through the bushes or you'll miss it

The space was very cool. The stage was inside an enormous space with the seats on risers. Thankfully the actors are amplified so they can be heard. Staff was very helpful. Hope to see a better play there in the future. The one I saw tonight was awful.

Just saw a much better show, but I really don't like the performance space that much.

highly enjoyed the museum. the main exhibits are on the top two floors and the rest are interactive experiences that invoke thoughtful meditation. it was very relaxing, especially playing with the sand to remind us of the impermanence of everything. an exhibit just opened up so it was free admission, which im thankful for seeing as the budget isnt so great lately. even the location i heavily enjoyed since its only like a 6min walk from the 14th St Station. really glad i came. it only took me about an hour and a half to go through most of the prints and sculptures.

Great museum to visit for contemporary art and for some of Queens and NY history of Expo. I like the comfy couch in the main concourse. You can also take a nice walk in flushing meadows park.
The Rubin Museum is truly a beautiful place that houses a collection of art from the Himalayan region. The sculptures and other artifacts are magnificent. I came in on a Thursday and was able to participate in the mindfulness meditation session which was lovely. The Mandala Lab is an absolute must see and a sensory experience very much unique to the museum. For $19 a ticket (including the meditation) the Rubin is well worth a visit. They also offer a delicious lunch that is provided at an additional charge. I highly recommend this. The Rubin is truly a wonderful museum that everyone should visit!

Kreeger Museum is a pretty small, but decent private museum, very pretty nice collection of Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Moro, etc.

The outdoor sculpture garden is a bit tiny, but is also a good walk. Overall, it’s a cozy, casual museum that will take <1hr to visit, making it a pretty nice weekend visit location.

They also have monthly jazz event, which is really nice!

A thought-provoking and well laid out gallery in the heart of Southwest DC. They're exhibits ranging from grandiose and spectacular to disturbing and somber, and all points in between. The art is staged throughout the gallery on three floors including a below ground level. For the less agile there are elevators to take you throughout the building. We really enjoyed our time spent here!
Awesome if you have family , black white brown Asian, please go it's very educational . It was MARVIN GAYE OLD school. I really enjoyed my self touring WITH THE HOUSE WIVES OF BETHESDA .

Very interesting contemporary art museum with constantly rotating exhibitions highlighting a variety of artists and perspectives. Highlights include some live events such as a live organ performance while I was there. They also have a beautiful outdoor deck on the top floor with surround views of the city.

Really fun modern art museum for adults (wouldn’t bring kids to see some of the installations). It is free for DC residents and you’re ticket is good for anytime on the day you pick, which makes it very easy to plan around. The whole museum took us about an hour to an hour and a half to walk though. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something fun and free to do on a weekend!
The Kreeger Museum in Washington, D.C. is a hidden gem, a stunning and unique venue that is perfect for a wedding. Located in the heart of the city, the museum boasts a grand mansion with sweeping lawns and beautiful gardens.

The mansion itself is a true architectural masterpiece, with modernist lines and grand, spacious rooms. It's the perfect setting for a ceremony, or reception, with space for up to 300 guests. The museum's lush gardens are also the perfect place for an intimate ceremony, with their winding paths and charming gazebos.

But the Kreeger Museum is more than just a venue – it's also a place of art and culture. The mansion was once the home of David and Carmen Kreeger, two art collectors who filled their home with works by some of the most famous artists of the 20th century. Today, the museum's collection includes works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Marc Chagall. ig @iamthesam

Rating for Julian Rosefeldt's show - Euphoria.

Wow. Powerful, sobering yet hopeful.

And the setting is very unique I bet you have never seen a musical like this. Best / most appropriate way to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Adam Smith.

This place is unlike the Broadway theaters, it’s inside the armory warehouse and very large space converted to the theater, the seats are build up levels with armchairs, seats are comfortable and the levels are high enough so you don’t have peoples head blocking your view. There’s not really a bad seat in the theater because everyone is facing front sitting in square space.
The public facility are also very nice, dark wood decor with large oil paintings of military figures second floor has gender mutual bathroom and lower floor has another smaller bathroom. The room to get drink is also very cute like a library.
Must visit museum! It's a smaller galley but that happens to be a benefit. Visited this weekend and had the entire space to myself. Features art from north, south, and central Americas all nestled in a beautiful older building.
What an oasis! This is a very small museum. It feels more like a gallery space. There is $5 donation if you want, but it is free. The building is charming and I am guessing it was once a beautiful home.

We truly loved Geandy Pavon's work. She is truly a talented artist. I especially enjoyed the tiled enclosed patio with the wall of windows looking out towards the garden.

If you want a experience a small museum and don't have a lot of time, the Art Museum of the Americas is a perfect escape from the city and for one to enjoy art.

Got to meet the fascinating women artists who have installations there at this time. Socially conscious art.

5 stars for the huge panorama of NYC. It was truly a WHAT-THE-HECK-THIS-IS-AMAZING moment to see the entirety of the city modeled with hundreds of thousands of pieces. Don’t miss out on the informative audio guide!
60-90 minutes should be enough to get through all the installations.

ON THE MUSEUM’S FIFTH FLOOR, just off yet more solemnly sober portraits of wealthy colonialists, is one of America’s oddest museum features: a heavy sampling of the Brooklyn Museum’s hidden collections and artifacts. It’s some of the stuff that cannot fit on the institution’s walls and display cases, and includes formal art, as well as more mundane objects such as a dozen old-school alarm and wall clocks. The items are professionally lit and arranged but are stacked high to evoke the cramped feelings of a rich uncle’s attic or a warehouse on Indiana Jones’ to-do list. The curators had fun with this space, and it shows!
I love a good museum, but this one is one that's safe to miss in DC:

1) It's VERY small. There are only two floors to it and the art isn't the best in DC.

2) They take suggested donations, so it does cost unless you want to feel guilty as the museum workers stare you down if you don't pay.

Pluses:

1) One of the rooms is beautiful with its blue walls and cool architecture.

2) The back of the museum is great with a beautiful fountain. It would be a great place to rent for an event!
