I was assigned to Dr. Sarah Gage who was honestly pretty dismissive to any concerns I had. Due to life events getting in the way, I haven't had a physical in 20 years. When I asked to book a physical, she responded with "Well, if you don't feel anything wrong, I don't think you have to do one." The front desk was equally unhelpful as they barred me from booking a physical online and called me to give me a similar reason despite me insisting that I really wanted one.

This experience just felt very negligent.

We have been patients here for the past 7 years. The medical station has taken care of us as our family grew by two and we are so pleased with their service. Despite the current government making it tough for family health offices to properly operate, the staff and doctors at the medical station continue to provide exemplary care for my whole family.

I love that this is my doctor's office, and I tell everyone to go here.

I trust the administrative team here, and I know they do their absolute best, even when they have to tell me something I don't want to hear. They offer whatever solutions they have at their disposal. I know they get a lot of flack (stop yelling at them!), but it's got to be hard being the administrative team for hundreds of patients, and they always have our backs.

My doctor is amazing - she is kind, compassionate, funny, and is supportive. I feel heard, which is a welcome change from many other medical experiences I've had. She genuinely cares for her patients and her line of work.

The facility is always spotless and safe. I highly recommend!

According to their website "The Medical Station in North York welcomes all new patient inquiries", but when I tried to register, I got the following response:
"Thank you for your inquiry.
At this time we are not accepting new patients. We do not have a wait list.
Sorry for the inconvenience."
For someone who has been looking for a family doctor because they really need one it is not just "inconvenience"... Please, correct your website, as it is very misleading...

Dr M Baron is understanding to your needs. Wonderful bedside manner. Extremely sharp and knowledgeable. Very clear way of articulating and presents it in such a way that you understand fully what needs to be done.

After my recent visit with Dr Lisa Saldanha, I must say that I was disappointed with the level of attention and care provided during my appointment. Despite sharing my concerns and complaints, I felt that the doctor was not attentive and did not spend enough time addressing my needs. This lack of attention and care made me feel that my concerns were not being taken seriously, which was concerning and unsatisfactory. I believe it's important for healthcare providers to listen carefully to their patients and address all of their concerns with compassion and professionalism. Unfortunately, this was not my experience with Dr. Lisa Saldanha, and I am hesitant to return to her for any future medical needs.

There are rarely any availability for an in person visit, the appointment available is often 2 weeks out, which you are probably recovered by then. To book appointments and receive messages from the clinic, each person has to have an account on their online system, including kids, so every person has to use a unique email address. If, god forbid, you mix them, they will keep rejecting you, no flexibility there. They also won’t let you see another doctor at that clinic even your doctor is unavailable, no matter the urgency. Even though they strongly discourage you to see outside clinics, I try to abide to. My tried to make an urgent appointment for my kid once, letting the doctor and receptionists know how uncomfortable and painful it was for my kid to do a regularly necessary activity, her doctor had to leave right at noon but they won’t assign someone else to help either. I ended up using Polysporin and she was already almost fully recovered by the time we got to the see the doctor a week later, who prescribed steroid cream. If you’re late, the receptionist makes a point of burning this fact into your brain, don’t bother with your reasons, understandable but most people already feel really bad.
I travelled to another province in Canada and forgot my daily prescription pills, so I called my doctor to send a prescription. She wouldn't do it because she's only licensed in Ontario, even though I let her know she can send it to a pharmacy in Ontario and the pharmacy in my current province can request emergency stash but she wouldn't do it and was ready to hang up and I was on my own, local doctors didn't take health cards from another province. Feel like she doesn't care about my health at all.
I called my last doctor for a prescription and he did it right away.
My last doctor had very long wait times but was always available and easygoing. He didn’t charge for trivial requests but this clinic charges for EVERYTHING.
End off on a positive note, wait times are short, doctors are very nice when you talk to them.
