There's a reason why they're an award winning restaurant. Service is the best in Gouger St. The food is always a hit with friends that we take there for the first time. Our go too for a great meal.
Chinese fine dining - hardly. After reading all the 5 star reviews could not wait to dine there.
Arrived 7pm left 8.20pm. Rushed you betcha.
The courses appeared on the table 3 minutes after ordering. Leading to a suspicion of being prepared ahead of time and just heated.
The only prawns in all the prawn dishes were whole with shells intact.
The mixed Chinese vegetables came with big chunks of red onion. First time ever.

Marvellous experience here. We had no reservation and they graciously found room for us. The staff were so lovely and very tolerant and helpful with our 3 year old. The food was brought out super quickly and was divine. Couldn't fault anything. Thank you and we'll be back!
I think the restaurant is perfectly balance in all aspects, that it is able to please customers from different background regardless of western or Asian. The environment is very classy and comfortable, it is not hard to tell the owner has put up some really good effort on it. The food are equally amazing (our crew really love the egg plant 🍆). The manager Irene is a star ☺️, and she definitely made a positive impact to our visit! (Thanks for the ice cream for the kid). If I have to recommend a place for Chinese fine dining, then Concubine will be among the top in the list without any hesitation. 👍

Food was amazing. The Angas beef curry with potatoes and peanuts was delicious. Beef so tender and the curry was just right.
Red curry duck with lychees and pineapple was just right. The sweetness the lychees and pineapple didn't overpower the sauce.

Wow! Service was impeccable. And the food absolutely delicious. We did the feed me menu and we weren't disappointed. Definitely try the lychee martini - one of the best I've had. We will definitely be returning.
