The lobak is crispy, but I disagree with it being the best lobak. Firstly, the ingredient is just average, the sweet sauce overly starchy and it is rather pricey.
The ambra drink was lousy and expensive.

The cafe located in the heart of the town. Feels like good old days joint. Tried the nasi lemak, awesome and delicious. The wantan mee not as expected and it was a disappointment. Drinks are good. Price is lesser than average. Will come again.

My Aug ‘23 Market Visit (Penang). My First To Penang Since 2019 After Our MY Government Declare The Pandemic 🦠 Have Over.
Old School, Nice And Clean Environment 👍🏻.
Overall - Wan Tan Mee (Is So Tasty, Flavourful And Full With The Pork Lard Fragrance. Noodles Have Fully Absorbed With The Soya Sauces).
Lam Mee (Bee Hoon & Yellow Mee Is Just Nicely Blanched. The Chili Sauce & Garlic Sauce Is Mixed Perfectly With The Lam Mee Gravy 🍜).
Kopi O (Kosong) Black Coffee Without Sugar ☕️ - The Amount Of Coffee Powder Mixed With Hot Water = A Prefect Glass Of Kopi O ☕️

Such a yummy find! Loved the prawn mee with pork ribs, wonton mee and char kuay teow are all very good also! We got there around 11:30 and there was a few tables left, but it got really busy at 12!

This place offers a vintage look with a few stalls available - wantan mee, lor bak, char kuey tiaw etc. Tried the wantanmee and it has mushroom, quite a surprise!

The drinks are somehow disappointing. The chambing (ices coffee mixed tea) is pretty much tasteless and the iced tea is just too sweet.

Parking could be a problem especially during peak hours.

Suggested by my uncle, who claims their prawn mee surpasses what we have back home. At 9 am, the stall appeared shut, but it was operational, so appearances can be deceiving! Opting for the dry prawn noodles, the portion was modest yet satisfying, and the flavor was rich. While I wouldn't assert it's superior to our local choice, I'd say it's on par!

A one stop shop of goodness in my opinion, this place has a lot of great food from chicken rice to Lor back to Hokkien mee. Just be sure to get there before or after the lunch crowd. Highly recommend checking this place out as it’s sure to check many of your Penang food boxes
