Nice place for fresh kimbap, staff issues friendly but the space is a but small, not suitable for big group. Price is a bit pricey but definitely go back when craving for kimbap

Looking for authentic Korean food in Melbourne? Come try this place out, it’s a small cozy restaurant so if you want to dine in then best to come before or after lunch peak hours to avoid waiting. I still think about this meal, my friend and I finished every bit of it. Friendly staff and the kimbap was definitely the highlight!

I really enjoyed the prawn and ham gimbaps. But at $16-18 for what looks like the size of 3 sushi rolls seemed a bit steep. My partner liked it too but also balked at the price. In saying that I'm still keen to try some of the other items but the shop is tiny and only seats like 6 people.

really loved this cute small restaurant. cosy vibes with limited indoor seating. very polite, friendly and helpful staff. service was phenomenal and quick. I ordered the tteokboki bowl that comes with dumplings and cheese for $38. really yummy and absolutely recommend.

Tried their beef gimbap and fishcake soup and it was so so good, would definitely visit again to try other items! The staff are super nice and the place has a very cozy vibe.

Most authentic korean gimbap you can get, although it may be a bit pricey it is worth the price and youre supporting a small business ran by a cute korean husband and wife.
There arent many sittings inside but you can just do take away and eat at a park etc.
I recommend spending a few more dollars on better and local food then a chain like shinjoen where they cheap out and lower the food quality.

A casual and compact place for hearty and delicious Korean gimbap and other traditional Korean dishes.
I enjoy eating both Japanese sushi and Korean gimbap. However, the former tend to leave a sweet mouth-fill and the latter, to me, taste fresher with the inclusion of more cooked and pickled vegetables. Jang Go Mama's gimbap ($17-$23) caters to vegetarian and meat eaters - all freshly made with good flavour balance. The fat cylindrical roll has a thin ring of rice and a very generous ratio of fillings to rice.
And if you prefer something warming for winter - the simple, but hearty and delicious dumpling soup ($22) is a good fit. Or even a refreshing bowl of cold noodles ($25) with a chilled vinegar-ish broth, topped with crunchy pear, red cabbage and cucumber, and full of sesame seeds aroma.
Service is with a smile.
Note: There are a also couple of kerb-side tables available
