A traditional weekly ritual for our lovely family, we could not pass on a visit to check this place out. For a moment, you'll forget you're in Canada as you step into a 60s-style American diner. A little quieter during weekdays, but reportedly just the same! The meal sizes are huge and are great value for money, Love that it's all freshly made in the open plan kitchen. A little warm inside because of this, no doubt that'd be great in winter! For a filling meal at a good price in great surroundings, you can't go past here!

Amazingly fast and friendly service, classic diner atmosphere complete with 1950s & 60s top-40 soundtrack and delicious food!

Eggs were perfect over-easy, great home fries and succulent sausage. I didn’t get a photo but the pancakes are some of the best I’ve ever had- light, fluffy and not too sweet. Will definitely be back!

This is one of the coziest place to have breakfast/brunch. Amazing food and really great service. The retro setting of the diner takes you to a couple of decades back in time. Sort of reminds me of Susie and Maisel’s diner spot on The Marvelous Mrs Maisel show.
Great value. The fruit options are impressive. Nice outing for the children and whole family. Won't break the bank. Plenty of free parking. Fun Times with the children.
The food items are very creative and unique. Taste is phenomenal. I'd eat here every morning.

Delicious brunch!
Both the savoury dishes (eggs benedict) and the sweet dish (waffles) were really good. The fruit on the waffles were fresh!
I've had the pleasure of visiting this establishment several times and would confidently say it's one of the best places in the area. The chefs here are quite skilled, consistently delivering dishes that stand out for their quality and flavor. The variety on the menu ensures that there's something for everyone, and the presentation of the dishes is always appealing. While the service is generally satisfactory, the food is what truly sets this place apart from its competitors. The staff are friendly and try their best, but occasionally there can be minor delays, especially during peak times.

On weekends, this spot tends to be quite busy, which speaks to its popularity. We usually visit during this time, and the bustling atmosphere is part of the charm. However, if you're planning to go on a weekend, I would recommend planning ahead to ensure you have a good experience. Arriving early or making a reservation can help you avoid long wait times and secure a good table. It’s worth noting that the lively weekend crowd adds to the vibrant atmosphere, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, this place offers a delightful dining experience with superior food that makes up for any minor service hiccups. Whether you're a regular like us or planning your first visit, you'll likely find the quality of the food well worth the trip. So, if you're looking for a standout dining option in the area, this is definitely a place to consider.

Service was a little slow, food came out fresh. Portions are quite large and they give a lot of fruit - almost too much!

Prices are a little on the higher side for a simple breakfast place

This place serves up amazing breakfasts! From fluffy pancakes to hearty omelets, every dish is cooked to perfection. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect spot to start your day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious morning meal!
So let's start with the bad stuff. Unfortunately the strawberries 🍓 were not the freshest and the cream wasn't as great as well.

Now to the great part. Lots of parking spots outside. The waitress was really nice. Took quickly care of my order, was really friendly and gave a welcoming ambiente. The maple coffee was great as well.

Standard Cora experience.

Space was bigger than it looks on the outside.
A bit tight seating though.

Food was ok.
Had to send back plate to get it corrected.

Price was ok.

Staff was accommodating.

Fish tacos and eggs Benny! Friendly quick service, what more can you ask for?
This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at Cora’s. My kids and I were very disappointed in the service, food & Hospitality! The server we had was not friendly and often gave us dirty looks. She forgot parts of our order and charged us extra for things we didn’t order. When we finally received our food all of the fruit served to us was sour and the presentation was below the typical standard at Cora’s and our waiter even forgot some of our order. I would understand her forgetting something if the restaurant was busy but there were only four tables occupied and she was only waiting two of them including mine! The food was overcooked and my kids and I ended up leaving a lot of food behind as it was not enjoyable. When I asked for the bill and took some time to go over it I noticed the server had over charged me I asked her to remove it and she gave me an attitude. After this I asked her for my change and she lied and said they didn’t have any. When I insisted on getting my change she finally got it for me and I left. If you do decide to eat at this restaurant I would definitely consider going to a different location.
Went for brunch. Super busy. Our turn came in 10-15mins. We tried Nacho grilled cheese sandwich and a Burrito crêpe. Both were good. Staff was nice and helpful.

Found this hidden gem while searching for a lunch place on Queen East in the Beaches area. It is quite spacious and has cozy booths with a full bar inside and a big corner patio . Service is great with friendly staff and I am sure it is a go to spot in the neighborhood. We ordered an Outrigger Burger and Jerk Chicken Quesadilla, both were delicious with fresh ingredients and prepared well. Can’t wait for warmer weather to be able to enjoy the patio !
This restaurant was suggested to us by the hotel staff and it was an incredible experience. We ate their three mornings in a row in our kids raved about it. The waffles with fruits, and the crêpes were to die for.
Cora Breakfast is an absolute delight! From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Kaieen, our frequent waitress is awesome with a big smile anytime we walk in. Although it might be slightly more expensive than other breakfast spots, the quality of every dish is simply outstanding. Each plate is meticulously crafted with its own unique design and bursting with mouthwatering flavors. A visit to Cora Breakfast is an experience that never disappoints—it's worth every penny!
Well managed and clean location. Ample seating and food is always A+.

Staff are attentive and well trained, service is consistently good between all of them.

My personal favourites are the Gigi and the breakfast burrito

Very cute diner! The food was so delicious and I loooove the jams they provided. My favourite was the orange jam. I enjoyed the grand slam a lot and would recommend this place if you’re ever in the area. Was quite busy and bustling Friday noon, which is always a great sign! Server was very kind and attentive and patient when I asked her for recommendations. Love me some diner food!
I love going to Cora for Brunch with my kids and loved their food, but this time, the food looks like just heated and served. The fruits don't look fresh, and the place was empty, unlike other Cora.
Early breakfast. The restaurant is fully accessible, clean and the Staff are pleasant & polite. Street parking only.

The food, well, nothing seriously wrong with it but it could be improved.
Deep fried potatoes that are stuck together, sausage that can use an injection of flavour and super thin, nearly see through bacon.
Asked for a tea with lemon and was told sorry, no lemon.

Cora's of old this is not. But good portions won't leave you hungry.

Service was really good. Quick and constant coffee top ups. Im always surprised by their menu options and the food is pretty decent too for a chain.

Only complaint was that we paid additional for Beyond sausages but it was just a patty cut up. Not the end of the world but just wasn't what we were expecting for the additional cost.
I’ve lived more than 2 years in Midtown and never heard of this 70 years old place. Yes! Believe it or not but this place was founded in 1951!!!

They have a very large menu. It is known as a breakfast/brunch place but they also have plenty of selections for lunch or dinner.

I was there for a breakfast and I’ve tasted one of the best hollandaise sauce in my life. Florentine is extremely healthy with well-prepared greens on the side.

Cooks behind the bar and waiters were very energetic and happy to work with a smiling face. Even though the restaurant was full to the brim, the team was working motivated.

Only downside of the place is the size of booths and interior design. It looks like an old diner with lovely red color but there are just too many tables in the available space. Even our 2 plates could hardly fit on our table.

Other than that everything was splendid. I recommend you to try this place on weekdays when it is less crowded. A family with a stroller cannot fit. There is not enough tables for larger parties.
We had evivia omelette , avocado sandwich and maple waffles .. food was very delicious and all the ingredients were very fresh. Cafe mocha & cappuccino was delicious too . Customer service by Sam wA great.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Just have a wonderful breakfast 😋
Price is below 25$ per each item and they have good variety of foods.

Went there to pick up a Nutella latte. I like how they have multiple options of customizing the flavour of their lattes. I would definitely try their brunch one day. It was busy. The waiter made the effort to bring my drink all the way to where I was waiting. I enjoyed my drink.
On my final day in Toronto, we set out early to explore the city, and luckily, Evviva, one of the few breakfast spots open, welcomed us. Located just a brief 3-minute walk from the CN Tower, this eatery was a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Our arrival just before 10 a.m. coincided with a vibrant morning buzz. The host efficiently secured us a table in under 10 minutes, making our transition seamless. Evviva's interior effortlessly exudes an atmosphere of elegance, accentuated by the soft illumination of white chandeliers casting a gentle glow and vibrant green floral accents creating an open and inviting atmosphere.

Once seated, our warm and attentive waitress made us feel right at home. Despite attending to multiple tables, she managed to be courteous and attentive throughout our meal.

I began with a refreshing mango juice, a delightful kickoff to the morning.

For my main course, I ordered from their all-day breakfast menu. Opting for the bacon, ham, eggs, and sausage combo, complete with perfectly grilled potatoes and fresh bread. I couldn't resist adding a double stack of blueberry pancakes for a small extra fee.

The portions at Evviva are satisfyingly generous. The grilled potatoes were bite-sized and had a delightful crispness. The ham and sausage were scrumptious. While the pancakes were not exceptionally fluffy, their density paired well with the syrup, but not enough for me to thoroughly enjoy them.

Evviva offers great value, with fair prices that match the quality and quantity of the delicious dishes. For a memorable breakfast experience in Toronto, make sure to visit this charming spot.

Order
*Mango Smoothie
*All Day Breakfast - Bacon, Sausage, Ham & Eggs with toast and blueberry pancakes for an additional $2

Our friends recommended this place for eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint! The strawberry smoothie was flavourful and filling. Not too sweet. The Nutella latte was also nice - a good balance of sweet with the coffee. The Waffle Benny with mini waffles was great. The B. Benny with potato waffles was filling and good flavour which is nice because it was my first time having potato waffles. Because it had potatoes, it was extra filling which I didn't mind. They did really over cook one of my eggs but they replaced it with an eggs Benedict AND a spare egg which was extremely nice. So service was A+ along with everything else.
I'm looking forward to trying the chicken and waffles next!

At first glance, this place may look like just another run-of-the-mill three-meal establishment. But if you take a closer look and decide to give it a chance, you'll find that it's actually a full-fledged gem with its own unique offerings! Just some examples are REAL maple syrup, both salad AND fries with your burger, and a bunch of other delicious dishes that you won't find just anywhere. And our waiter Carla was super friendly and helpful in making sure we got exactly what we wanted! Can't wait to come back here again!

I ordered on here from UBER eats as I have before from the My. Pleasant location and this was absolutely disgusting!! Waffles were soggy, took an hour + and they don’t include butter and syrup like other locations do. They also use one container for all 3 items which the other locations do not do you get much less. Gross. Avoid!!!
Shouldn't have the Cora name on the building. This one caught me off guard since I've been to other locations many times over the years. Every time we go, it's a treat and we leave with big smiles on our faces. Not once did I have a meal below 5 stars until this visit last week. To be clear, this was our first and last time at this specific Front Street location. One positive thing - there was no wait to get our seats (Should have been a red flag because we always have to wait). So I ordered one of my favourites "Louis the Undecided" and everything came to me as if they were trying to conserve ingredients. The crepe was half the size it should have been, the bacon was razor thin / half burnt & crispy, and the scrambled eggs with cheese was pathetically small and runny. I asked the waitress about the portions and she replied with "Eggs are small" ....You kidding me? Everyone else with me had a similar experience. We left pretty disappointed. "I guess Cora's has gone down hill" my wife later said. I wasn't going to leave this review until we went to an other location this week (York Mills & Don Mills ) Now this Cora’s was everything we expect and look forward to when we splurge on brunch. Prices are the same but the food was delicious & with generous portions. The Front street location sort of reminds me of restaurant chains around Niagara Falls overcharging and underproducing because of lazy complacency. Y’know the “sheep tourists probably won’t be back anyways” type of attitude.
So no, Cora’s is not going down hill. The Front street location just needs to do much better. I’m off to write my York Mills location review now. I’ll also leave a photo of today’s meal as an example of how to do better.

Great little spot. I got the Bacon egg avocado waffle. I got the gluten-free version, which was surprisingly great! Very large portions, and their food is tasty- nothing special, but it hit the spot!
The building itself could use a but of a face-lift, but I guess it goes with the name lol
The food was decent but we waited 1 and half hours to go in and we were charged 18% gratuity. When we finished, the waitress claimed that they cannot do more than 3 separate bills for a group of 10 people because it would take too long. Not worth the wait and effort coming here. Overall only recommend if you don’t have to wait and is nearby.

The vegan menu is incredible. So many vegan selections! I was looking at vegan restaurants in Toronto, but this one never came up, so I'm going to keep typing vegan to help Google find it! I had the vegan Reuben, and it was one of the best things I've eaten in years. The restaurant is not vegan, but the have an impressive vegan line up. Vegan.
Had dinner on the patio last Friday (2023-10-20). The food was great, but even more impressive is the place felt like a well-oiled machine! We said we needed to be in and out in about an hour, and they absolutely worked with that time budget. We also had a few different staff check in throughout the meal, but in a good way.

The host was knowledgeable about the menu despite only working there for a month (as she said).

It's not a cheap place, but I think the quality of the food and service is commensurate with the cost. (It's not outrageous expensive either, in 2023)

Ordered:
- Fully Loaded Crispy Potatoes
- Nachos
- Ahi Tuna Poke Rice Bowl
- Truffle Cheeseburger
Fantastic dining experience with my wife and our son. The staff are so attentive and welcoming, Marco served us and he was amazing. But of course the star is the food, every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The complimentary cheese bread was my wife’s favourite. We never felt rushed, and we had the whole evening to ourselves to enjoy the great food and conversation of the evening at a leisurely pace that was very relaxing. It’s a sharing concept, so you order 5 to 7 dishes and don’t worry the staff will guide you on wether you ordered adequately. We enjoyed some fine cocktails (Aloette Old Fashioned) with our meal, so smooth and tasty. Ultimately, an amazing dining experience with a cool vibe in a chill atmosphere with Michelin food. Cheers

First off service was fantastic. Our server was a delight who was knowledgeable about both the food and the drink.

The Sea bream was the fan favourite. Nice vibe, atmosphere, food and staff.

Loved this place. Booked the chefs table and it was so cool observing the calm and disciplined flow of the kitchen.
Food was on point, a few things I'd fault here or there but not major and definitely wouldn't drop a star for. I could eat the brie cheese and toast ever day of my life.
Service impeccable, ambience wonderful. I brought my toddler with me and luckily he was on his best behavior, but I also appreciated how much they set up for kids and are not snooty about it at all

Went here for dinner with my friend. We got the wedge salad, crispy squash, sea bream and mussels with cocktails.

My friend and I really liked the wedge salad, the crispy squash was also good but a little sweeter than I'd like.

Sea bream was my favorite and my friend loved their mussels.

The only reason why I didnt rate it a 5 star is because the music was really loud and though service was great, they came up too many times.

I was blown away by the service we received. I honestly think more places should follow suit in the “gratuity included” style of service. We were helped by 5 different staff and service was all prompt and courteous. Our water was always topped off and side plates and new cutleries was set after every course. This was so much better than trying to wave down the ONE person responsible for your section. The food was amazing and we ordered way too much for two people but it feels amazing supporting a restaurant that pays their staff living wages.

We came here for dinner. Food unfortunately fell short of expectations. We ordered a few things on the menu, most were OK but a negative exception was the tomahawk steak (this was not an item on the menu, it was a special). The meat was surprisingly tough (I suspect perhaps it was a cheaper cut?) and it was cooked not to our preference. We had asked for medium rare but it came out to be rare. For the price ($100), I expected better. My favourite items was perhaps the complimentary bread and lemon meringue pie - those were amazing.

Service and environment was absolutely wonderful. Our water was constantly refilled, plates and utensils were frequently changed where it made sense, and table was cleaned every so often. The staff was not overbearing but at the same time, proactive and attentive - our waiter noticed we weren’t happy with the steak and came to check in for feedback. We voiced our concerns with the steak and was offered a lemon meringue pie on the house, which was kind of the restaurant.

The roasted sea bream is exceptional! Crispy skin that can peel off as a single sheet, flaky fatty juicy flesh, with a rich fruity-floral aji amarillo sauce. It’s a must-order unless you hate fish.

The other dishes were good but not excellent. I tried the wedge salad because it’s one of Aloette’s signature dishes, but it didn’t convince me that lettuce needs to be in an unwieldy chunk. The dressing is a fancified version of sour cream & onion flavor. Cocktail was great.

Overall it was a great experience because of the attentive service. The sea bream is something I’d order regularly if I lived in the area.

Great food and fantastic service make Richmond station a must try in Toronto. At first I wasn’t sure if there “gratuity included” idea would still translate to good service, but I was thankfully wrong. All our servers seemed to genuinely love the work and were knowledgeable about the menu and drinks.

Food was great, and what you’d expect for a place of this price range. The burger is a must.

Had an amazing dinner here. The outside patio is a hidden gem, I recommend it highly for a quieter dinner. The food was perfect. Service impeccable. Amazing!
Came here for dinner with my friend before our concert and really enjoyed it! We got seated relatively quick despite it being busy.

I ordered the truffle burger and salad which were tasty. There was a slight mishap with my meal and the waitress and manager were very accommodating and wanted to ensure I had a good experience at their restaurant. Overall I would highly recommend! You’re getting tasty food, great service, and it’s a cute spot!

Wonderful Experience. The tasting menu we tried was one of a kind. Very unique and well-thought when it comes to the presentation of the food. The waiters are also very professional. A few of the courses I felt could have been better. There was a dish called pigs trotter which we did not enjoy too much. It was overall a great fine dining experience with spectacular views from the 54th floor of the TD building. I would recommend it to anyone who's ok with spending a bit to indulge in some unique fine dining cuisine.

My husband and I were visiting from the Niagara region. We had booked this reservation weeks ago! It was worth the wait… we shared the chefs tasting menu. I have some food allergies and they were very careful to pay attention to that. Two courses were especially prepared for me. Our server explained every stage of the menu and was very attentive and friendly. We will go back!! What a great experience!!

The view is amazing but that’s it.
The menu is so boring and limited in option if you don’t eat pork. Everything has a dash of prosciutto. pricey for absolutely no reason! The food was so average and so Disappointing.
The venison tartare was so bad, worse presentation I’ve ever seen. The halibut was dry.
Desert was so tiny.
I would definitely not come back and would not recommend to celebrate any occasion here. So overrated.
If you would like to experience upscale dining try George , Scaramouch you would not be disappointed!
A lovely place for brunch! Dunno how it escaped me for this long. The waitress was really kind to accommodate all my low carb diet based requests. The egg benedict on smoked salmon on a base of tomatoes and a side of smoked ham was exactly what I needed for my Saturday brunch. The simple omelette with egg whites my friend got were really well cooked and the house fries were just about enough crispy. The salad was amazingly well dressed. The vibe is super cool too. One star stolen from service to highlight the fact they forgot our cutlery and water.

We planned to come here for the tasting menu but as we made reservations we noticed they had an event that combined drinks and appetizers at bar Secrette and a 3 course meal at the restaurant so we chose this instead. Bar: stylish, cozy but unfortunately empty (one other couple) so the atmosphere was lacking a bit but it was early in the evening. The cocktails were delicious , flavourful and interesting so were the appetizers. Restaurant: the part that really stood out was the service at George. The staff makes you feel very welcome and special. My Lobster salad was delicious and presentation spot on. Atmosphere was a bit too stiff for me.
Party of seven during the height of the air show. We forgot to bring a lock for our two bikes. The staff were SO accommodating even though we had a BIG ask to sit close to our property. Food and service was fantastic. See you again!

Came here for an anniversary dinner and holy hell this place is worth the hype. I have never been to this caliber of restaurant before so maybe I'm a bit biased but this blew me away! We sat on the beautiful courtyard patio which was so intimate and romantic. The service was impeccable, sommelier Patrick was unbelievably knowledgeable and let us ask him a million questions. We tasted a couple wines and had a bottle of Mother Rock Holocene from 2020 on his recommendation and it was such a zippy and interesting wine! The food was outstanding, presentation was unbelievable. Each dish was explained to us by the lovely servers who were all so nice! We had the 7 course vegetarian tasting menu - and my partner and I were each served DIFFERENT dishes! Plus an "amuse bouche compliments of the chef" which was so nice. Each dish was so interesting and delicious, we had lengthy conversations about each trying to identify flavours. Just amazing. And they even decorated our dessert plates with a Happy Anniversary wish! So thoughtful. The experience took us about 3.5 hours. Would recommend this to anyone celebrating a special occasion. Very pricey of course but worth every penny. I didn't take a ton of photos because I wanted to be off my phone but hopefully these give you an idea of the artistry at play here!
Beautiful restaurant and lots of variety for all diet restrictions. Although I'm not vegan, I was surprised to see the amount of vegan options available.

I was a part of a group of 6 (5 adults and 1 child). We had a reservation for a Friday lunch at 12:30. We were seated next to the beautiful Sakura tree. It took quite a while to grab the attention of a server. We weren't introduced to one when we were seated. Luckily a server walked by so we got her attention and she said anyone can help us.

I had an amazing Traditional Eggs Benedict with a freshly squeezed OJ. So good!

What a lovely place for a dinner date night! The restaurant hit the right spot! If it wasn’t a Tuesday night, we would’ve tried the wine pairing. We ended up choosing the 7-course Tasting Menu and was blown away by each and every course. What’s amazing is each person receives a different dish; 14 different dish! Our food kept coming and coming and not one dish disappointed! The 5-course would’ve definitely be more than enough, but the 7-course was an amazing choice for our first visit. Can’t wait to return and try their A La Carte menu. The atmosphere was lovely and would ask to be seated in the middle next time to really take in the atmosphere of the restaurant.

The place is very nice.
The tasting menu is very interesting and a must try.

However, unfortunately, there have been few mistakes not expecting by a restaurant by its standing.

First was serving us plates that were for another table and got taken our immediately, second, we mentioned specifically no bacon and no foie gras, and we got served both, and it is only while the waiter was explaining the plates, we realised and mentioned it otherwise no one noticed!

Having said that, the restaurant remains exceptionally good and a must try if in Toronto.
I visited Evviva today after the triathlon event. We were a party of 10 people and all of us enjoyed our time at this place. Lots of appreciations for the warm and friendly welcoming! We were forgetting our bike locks and the crew helped us to put them in a safe area, so we could enjoy our time with peace of mind!
I ordered the Florentine Benedict which came with fries and salad. Other friends ordered Evviva breakfast sandwiches and traditional breakfast. The food quality was good, with fresh ingredients. We also had mimosas and we all loved it to celebrate the race day!

I had the most phenomenal experience at this restaurant! The service was top-notch and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, adding to the overall dining experience.

Now let's talk about the food – exceptional is an understatement! I started my meal with their onion soup, which hands down is the best in town. The rich flavors and perfectly melted cheese on top had my taste buds dancing with joy.

For the main course, I opted for the wild halibut. The chef nailed it with the perfect cooking technique, resulting in a beautifully tender and flaky fish. The accompanying sides and sauce were thoughtfully prepared, perfectly complementing the flavors of the halibut. I wouldn't change a single thing about this dish!

All in all, I can confidently say that this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The combination of phenomenal service, terrific atmosphere, and exceptional food made for an unforgettable dining experience.

Had amazing dining experience at Richmond Station. The food was thoughtfully prepared using seasonal ingredients and offers amazing flavor. The menu offerings rotate every season and I had the pleasure to try the halibut and the ravioli, both were sensational.

The service is impeccable and I really applaud the restaurant's approach of not asking for gratuity (or tips). It's great knowing the food were priced fairly and includes the cost of service. Highly recommend this spot and looking forward to visiting it again!

Fabulous dining experience. Waiter was so personable. We had the chef’s tasting and the every course was exquisite and complex and totally outstanding. The gin and tonic course was quite a pleasant surprise of flavors. Love how they bring them out and explain them. So much goes into each of them. The atmosphere is stunningly beautiful at night.
Came here for Saturday brunch with friends + baby & it was really good!

I shared the breakfast burrito and strawberry banana pancakes.

The burrito is in a crepe instead of a tortilla and that’s a substitute I would always choose for a burrito if I could.

The pancakes had crispy edges and were fluffy - strawberries bananas, and all other ingredients were fresh.

I’m a big coffee drinker and the coffee tasted like diner coffee - better coffee would make this 5 stars.

The wait for the food was pretty long so quicker would make service 5 stars.

Booster chair / table / baby and kid friendliness was great
I live in Vancouver and have been to a few of the locations over there. But when I usually visit this location if I come to Toronto. I had a bad experience the first time with a waitress who was not very nice. But this last time our server was a whole lot better. A good happy hour beer selection, and appetizers are pretty awesome. A fun atmosphere busy usually with a wide range of Patrons having fun!
I had always wanted to try this place as it seemed like a fun spot for a night out. It has a nice atmosphere. The food was OK nothing really special typical bar food. The burger was good. The fried chicken burger was not that great. Both portions were relatively small for the price. The reason for the 1 star rating is the service. The servers were clueless and we had to ask for stuff multiple times and we didn't get them until we were done with the food. They sat down and chatted with customers when doing the bill and couldn't care less about the service. Eventually during payment the tip percentage was locked into the preset and couldn't put any lower than the machines default which considering the horrible service felt like a straight up SCAM!!

So glad we tried the tasting menu tonight. Fresh and quality ingredients. We love the duck liver pate with strawberry puree, seared yellowfin tuna, braised chicken terrine, dry aged rib eye with oyster mushroom and the black forest cake the most. Friendly service and non pretentious. Highly recommend this restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Attentive and easy to talk to staff. We’ve been here twice now and love it every time. It’s a must when we visit Toronto. Eve fry thing in the menu is great. We’ve tried new things every time but the wedge salad is to die for. It has such a refreshing touch!

Desert was great. The lemon pie was too tart for me so I prefer the strawberry parfait.

Overall- this place is great. Just make sure you set up a reso before coming!

Don’t let the exterior confuse you- this spot has AMAZING food, prices, and service.
They have been open for 24 years and are a staple in the neighbourhood.

Get the Eggs Benedicts on the potato bun, consistently delicious. One minor con was that coffee is no longer bottomless and they didn’t serve drip coffee but instead it’s a small amount of americano and you pay $1 per refill.
Enjoyed lunch and cocktails on the patio with friends. Food was great, cocktails hit the spot. Good service. The Hot Mess Fries are a must-have. Also pictured below, the Beet Hummus, Calabrian Caesar Salad, Blackened Chicken Curry Bowl and Pinche Beef Tacos. Great spot for a casual meal!

Bravo GEORGE Restaurant! This is what fine dining in Toronto is all about. We're still on cloud nine after the beautiful evening we had at this gorgeous restaurant. They handled our dinner party exceptionally well. All of my family and guests were so impressed by the quality of food and level of service. A big thank you to Mark, Alex, Eli, John, and Chef Lorenzo and his team, who all offered an exceptional dining experience that truly made our night so special! Also, a warm thank you to Anna, George Restaurant's event planner. Anna's highly communicative, honest and flexible approach made planning our event a fun and effortless experience.

The food - Phenomenal! Delicious and aesthetically stunning dishes. Each course was carefully crafted, cooked to perfection and plated so beautifully. The portions were just right. For a fine dining establishment, they were surprisingly quite big. Overall, we were very content with the calibre of food and the quality of service provided.

If you're looking for a new favourite restaurant in Toronto, GEORGE Restaurant is a must try! A truly incredible venue to host all of your dinners and events.

This was a great experience overall. The food selection was great for a smaller menu.

Each dish we tried had levels of flavour, and most importantly you definitively taste all flavours out into the dish… nothing got lost,

The presentation of each dish was photo worthy as you can see the care of how each dish is created.

The service was prompt and gave great recommendations for our group.

No complaints here.

The tasting menu was very delicious - couldn’t find any faults; however, the service was not up to par. Wish I was able to enjoy the food without constantly being interrupted asking how the dish is. Nonetheless I think Canoe serves really good food and is definitely worth a try!

A nice family outing. There were 11 of us so we got a private room. We had 7 course tasting menu. The food was great so was the service. This was the second time here for us and we will be back for sure
Really good healthy food. Don’t be afraid for the look.
I took fried rice (not so fried and not fat at all) with vegetables and eggs. Like Nasi Goreng in Bali.

Totally recommended.
We went here before a concert at Budweiser stage. It was super busy and we had to wait in line but ended up getting a nice spot on the patio. The staff was really friendly and the food was tasty. Great atmosphere recognize it will be busy on a Friday night. We will be back!

This place is absolutely amazing - the food is first class, the service is great, the atmosphere is soulful. The duck liver pate 🦆 is mind blowing - the combination with dried strawberry and strawberry sauce is something you must try! The brioche, that accompany the pate, Is delicious itself 😋 the menu changes every 3-4 weeks, so, don't hurry up with the burger - it's been in the menu for 10 years and will not disappear 😉

I recently dined at Canoe restaurant with a group of four on a Friday evening at 6 PM, and I must say it was an incredible experience. We had reserved a week ahead of time, and I highly recommend doing so because this place fills up fast.

We opted for the tasting menu, and it exceeded our expectations. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented in unique and original ways. The creativity and attention to detail were evident in every bite, and there was a consistent theme that tied the whole menu together.

The service at Canoe was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine pairings. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience.

One of the highlights of our evening was the breathtaking views. We were fortunate enough to catch the sunset, and it created an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant's location allows for stunning vistas, making it a truly remarkable dining setting.

Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Canoe restaurant. The excellent food, consistently positive experiences, and remarkable atmosphere make it a must-visit. It has become one of my regular dining destinations, and I can't wait to return for more culinary delights.

An amazing experience from beginning to end. I’ve never been to a restaurant with such diligent front of house. It’s like magic when you turn around and realize your glass has been refilled or that your napkin has been folded neatly for you. Given their reputation it’s still a surprise.

The food is also really good and a good balance of comfort and original. The pigeon was essentially Korean fried chicken and the lemon meringue pie is classic. Speaking of which the food here is a bit acidic, but I prefer that! The torched scallops were platted like ceviche and was a great start. The complimentary cheese bread with smoked butter and the wedge salad were highlights. The wild rice with the wedge salad made it the standout dish by far, followed closely by the ravioli. 4-6 dishes should do it for 2 people.

Excited to try the other menu items!
I had the most amazing dining experience at this bar. Everything about it was perfect, earning it a well-deserved 5/5 rating. The relaxed atmosphere, combined with outstanding food and drinks, created an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, every aspect of the visit exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, this place is an absolute must-visit.
Classic, well made diner breakfast, classic prices, love the mom and pop vibe. In 2023 Toronto where everything is overpriced and overhyped, it is nice to be able to go out for a decent breakfast without breaking the bank.

Was feeling a classic lunch and ended up here. The patio is nice but the seats aren't the comfiest, we also weren't offered an umbrella when it was super sunny - when one was freed up it went to a table that came after us and had partial shade. The menu was quite extensive and it was difficult narrowing down what we wanted to try. Food wise everything was very satisfying and the portions were good! Loved the mussels in tomato sauce with veggies most - it's an app but can easily be a main because it's so filling and well portioned. Will definitely return.

Yummy food. Didn’t have to wait for a table during the weekday. The B.E.A. was super tasty as well as the mango smoothie. They also have a $10 weekday special we didn’t end up getting it but it looked like a great deal.

We tried the tasting menu. Food was great, presentation excellent. Strawberry dessert is our favorite, followed by the scallops and oyster. Pork Trotter dish was a little strange, nevertheless still delicious.

Service excellent, compared to many other high end restaurants, the service and staff are very well trained at Canoe. Open kitchen concept so you can see interactions of the chefs. Happy to see diversity in the kitchen.

Restaurant is clean, atmosphere is good. View is nice and most people are there for a celebration.

Wish their restroom was nicer, as it's just the TD building restroom. But that's no good reason not to try out the restaurant. Would recommend if you haven't been and I would return.

I got the mixed vegetable waffle sandwich. The flavours were quite bland but the waffle on it’s own is pretty good. The potato salad was the best part by far.

My friend got the apple crumble which was also just good but nothing spectacular.

The service was pretty non existent. The vibe could also be better. The overall experience was honestly just meh. I wouldn’t come here again.

So far, this is the best place for a weekend brunch. Why spend so much money on fancy restaurants when it's so chill and comfortable here? The staff is incredibly nice and always smiling.

the service was amazing! the lady was so patient with our large group (Robyn). Some of the food items were delicious and I wish there were more cocktail options. The station burger was a great choice as well as the chickpea panisse! what was most refreshing was at the end they didn’t expect a tip because it was included in the bill! I really appreciated this!

The blind tasting menu (chef’s choice) is available in 5, 7, or 10 courses but 5 is more than enough to satiate even the biggest appetite. Each dish has a wonderful combination of flavours but what really sets this restaurant apart is the variety. The two of us ordered the 5 course and we were each served different dishes which allowed us to try a total of 10 dishes.

The menu starts with an amuse bouche, followed by a chilled seafood dish, a foie gras, meat, cheese, and then dessert.

My personal favourites of the night were the king oyster mushroom amuse bouche, the crab, the squab foie, the boar, the thea cheese, and the lemon tart.

Our server, who was excellent, suggested the City of Lights and Peachy Keen cocktails and he did not disappoint. Peachy Keen is especially great if you’re not too keen on the taste of alcohol.

I ordered the chicken tacos and they were really good, no complaints. The tacos were flavourful, had a decent avocado slice & crispy chicken.
The wait was a bit longer than normal but overall great experience.

First visit here after walking past many times.

Food and service was pretty good. Could use some amping up of flavours. The patio is excellent (minus the wasps).

I'd like to see more local offerings of beer and cider. Pretty limited, generic bar rail type of beers available.
What a delightful little diner! Strong mom and pop vibe. I was skeptical about ordering but my friends had eaten here before and said the food is good. The adventure down to the bathroom was a bit on the creepy side but the food was wonderful and reaaonably priced. My stomach was upset so I ended up boxing up my breakfast, so I hope if the owners read this they know it's not because it wasn't good. I would eat here again.

Unfortunately the food wasn’t great at all….the lady who works the front is very nice though. But when it came down to getting the food the chow mein noodles were very hard to the point where they tasted like they were barely cooked. Second time around it tasted better. The sweet and sour balls paste had an odd taste to it since it did not taste sweet or sour. This is the first time we have left the food without at least packing it.

I really wanted to try liking the food but not good especially for $40. Hopefully improvements can be made since customer service wise the woman was really nice.
Very tasty delicious food and excellent customer service. Definitely I will go back again with my family and friends. ☺️👍

Lovely patio, but the rest of the experience left much to be desired.
We arrived as a party of two around 3:00 PM on a Saturday without reservations and with a dog. It took about ten minutes to get us seated since we had to accommodate for our canine pal.
We ordered a long island iced tea, a pint of Murphy's, the smoked salmon bruschetta, the buffalo fingers, and the fish tacos.

The long island iced tea was quite tasty and refreshing. However, I was pretty disappointed by the food considering the price point. The appetizer cost $15 and the fish tacos $19, but both felt pretty cheap. The app had very little flavor and clearly skimped on the ingredients since there was barely anything on the bread slices (and barely any slices at that), and the fish tacos were soaking at the bottom and made a huge mess to eat. The buffalo fingers were a bit soggy and could have used a bit more crispness, but it's to be expected with saucy fingers. The best part of the meal was the fries.

That being said, the patio was lovely. Plenty of shade and sun if you desire one or the other. They did a great job tending to our dog as well, giving her fresh water and a bowl to drink from.

While I doubt I would EAT here again, it's a great place for some sun and some drinks after taking your dog to the off-leash section of the beach.
