The staff here are super nice. Like today...due to building having electrical shutdown they were handing out free drip coffee to clients since none of their machines were operable. They get the drinks right every time and are an authentic kind of nice when dealing with customers. Food is yummy (mostly vegan) yet a bit overpriced. Vibe is minimalist and brightly lit. They have outlets under all tables- so laptop friendly. At times a bit of a hipster vibe and have a mixed clientele and i noticed they are respectful to all. I do appreciate having this near my home.

Delicious! We had BBQ Bao, grilled cheese and bubble tea with popping boba. Such a cute spot with a chill vibe. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. Great place to slow down a bit and enjoy.

This spot is cozy with great staff and tasty muffins. I would come all the time if the wifi was more reliable.
Great coffee and a very nicely situated location. Great to see the old menu items back these days like the salmon and eggs and the breakfast sandwiches!
Small coffee shop along Broadway, specializing in coffee than food. I ordered their latte, which was pretty good, on a more mild side than a strong coffee taste. Their pastry with tomato & basil was really simple but tasty.

There are only a few small tables, so I would only recommend this place for maximum of 4 people, and its not really a quiet place with car noise on a busy street right in front.
Super high quality coffee from very professional barrista. Good selection of different beans for every taste!

Nothing different about Starbucks. Usually very kind baristas. I don't do food for lack of vegan options. There's no more excuse to not offer something useful. That's a huge fail for Starbucks.
I love this place so much! The coffee the vibes and the people are all just so awesome. I always like to get the candied espresso, but the honey orange latte is also really good. They have made in-house waffles with a variety of different flavours to pair nicely with the variety of coffee that they have to offer. I love how all their beans are roasted right in the coffee shop, it's pretty cool to see.

As a coffee enthusiast, I had heard some promising things about this coffee shop, but my experience fell far short of my expectations.

The latte was subpar. The coffee itself was sour and just by looking at the foam, it was not properly frothed. The macrofoam indicates a frothy and airy appearance and lacks the smooth and velvety texture of what a latte should be!

The waffle was also a letdown. Overall, this place falls far short of the mark.

For the second week in a row, I've dropped by this coffee shop to grab a latte to-go before my kids' weekend soccer games, and I've consistently been impressed by the coffee's quality.

My son and his friend indulged in some Banana bread right after the soccer game, and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. 😁

While I didn't have the time to stay and savor the ambiance, I must say I'm quite taken with the unique decor of this coffee shop.

I'll definitely be returning to enjoy their coffee again.

Thank you!

When you first walk in, it has a cool environment that's a bit dark and has relaxing vibe. They offer different types of beans. They also have a sesonal drink menu, as fall is quickly around the corner. I got a Spiced Latte and would not recommend it, as it did not have any memorable factor or wow to me. There are limited street parking in front and the location acts like a hidden coffee shop.

I love going to Arbutus coffee. It’s my go to place.
They often have different special brews each days which are fun to try. I also enjoy their oats.
In the morning you also see a lot of dogs being taken for a walk which, while has nothing to do with the place, is a perk nonetheless.
Their payment machine are super slow though. Other than that, it’s a great place.

This place has incredible pastries and lunch items! We just went here for coffee and we came out with some absolutely delicious food. I can definitely recommend the spinach croissant and both of the Jamaican patties and my friends raved about the wraps and the other pastries, including the croissant. I would definitely go back here anytime I was in Vancouver, what a great surprise. I couldn’t figure out quite where the cuisine originates from.

Coffee was good, my husband got a coffee that was exactly the opposite as the one he asked for but we believe the girl knew it and she offered to change it even before he tried it. She was super nice so he didn’t even wanted to return the coffee.
People don’t understand that sometimes is not even about the place or product is about the people.
Nevertheless, in this case, coffee was good, bakery was good. The quiche was great… We even came back today, unfortunately it was closed because of some maintenance.
We will be back, for sure.

This is the second time I visited a Prado branch and the second time I was served luke-warm bland coffee. My Soy Cortado was massively dull, unimpressive and a disappointment.
I hate to bash on this joint and local businesses as it seems a sweet coffee house.

I love the coffee here but I have to give it two stars because of the inflated price. It’s hard to be more expensive than the already incredibly high price of coffee in Vancouver but this place is really trying. I just paid 7.72 for a latte (basically small sized) with oat milk. In this day and age it really is a shame to be charging almost a dollar extra for alternative milks, and it makes me sad to see this happening in such a nice spot in Kitsilano.
Big big shoutouts to the baristas who sling drink after drink in this beautiful establishment. You guys run a tight ship here and quality is always on point! This is my go-to cafe when I’m in van now.
🙏🏽 also appreciate the kind and friendly attitude of everyone and not charging an extra dollar for alt milk 🙏🏽

No open Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is available but you have to give up too much of your private information to get access. Starbucks is across the street so stop here for their wonderful delicious glorious scone but then go to Starbucks for your Wi-Fi.

My Americano ☕️ cup wasn’t filled up and when I asked them to fill the cup up to the top they didn’t care to do that.. Bad service, coffee wasn’t very good. I won’t be back here, I don’t recommend this coffee house. Lots of other places to choose from on Main.
Love the coffee here and will return. In particularly the Hawaiian Latte. The pastries are sub par and "Costco like" in quality. Service is efficient but never a smile, rarely eye contact and often a snarly 'I don't want to be here' attitude.

We came in for a coffee after taking the ferry from Nanaimo. They have different espresso varieties you can choose from. The Mexican in house cold brew was excellent. Please bring your own mug, you get 25¢ off.
There was a bit of a lineup but the girl who was behind the espresso machine came out and asked what I wanted then went back right away to make my drink. That was very clever, as the front guy was busy getting food for the previous orders. Super efficient system and very kind and welcoming staff.
Great latte too! Thanks :-)
The range of drinks offered is great, the staffs are also very professional, the food range is ofcourse limited but this is a cafe not a full restaurant. Overall is good for coffee and cakes

In a city brimming with coffee shops, Prototype Coffee truly distinguishes itself from the rest. I opted for a simple pour over and grabbed some beans, and was not disappointed. The quality and care put into their brews are evident. A must-visit for coffee aficionados in Vancouver. Just a heads-up for potential visitors: they close at 5 pm, so plan to get there early to fully savor the experience. Highly recommend!
What a cutie cafe! The coffee was great and brunch menu is so good too. Staff are super nice and friendly and the shop has a great vibe overall
Very nice cafe. They provided great weather, we sat outside and had a great morning glory muffin and a chicken and pesto bagel. Nice vibes.

My sister and I had the pleasure of going to the coffee shop on Sunday August 13th around 4:30 after it was suggested to us by a local. The two gentleman were kind and patient with us crazy Americans. The coffee was delicious and meeting them was a breath of fresh air. We hope to go and have breakfast or luck tomorrow.

This was my second opinion after stopping by my first one; I left my 1st option due to the fact they not longer accept cash in a way I’m glad that happens cause I ended up here. The coffee latte does have a different taste, still good and made it so beautifully that I can’t complain ☺️

Oh my Gosh! Is it fare to pay $7.30 for this moka 8ounce with a huge of foam on the top!!!
When i asked barista that I don’t like this much foam she said it takes a couple of minutes to do another one! Lots of customers are ahead of you!
Customer service is 0/10.

Been coming here frequently for the past year. The baos are $3.50 and I think that's a very reasonable price.
They're always fresh and hot and super fluffy. I only wish they have more variety for the buns as everytime I come (around 9:30am) they only offer BBQ pork or chicken & shrimp at that time. I wish they have the pork and veggie bun in the morning. The other items are a bit on the pricier side but you can feel that they use good ingredients. I really like their blue horizon smoothie, the turkey sandwich, and their grilled cheese sandwich. Usually I get one drink and one sandwich and I pay around $18 after tax and tips.

As for coffee they're a slight bit more expensive than a certain franchise. But if you think about it, the franchises are such a big companies they have way more wiggle room for prices yet they STILL charge a lot for a cup of coffee and people are still willing to pay, whereas little cafes around the city that offer quality items are trying to survive and people complain about their prices? Many other cafes charge extra for dairy alternatives as they DO cost more, so I don't see anything wrong with that. Let's support local businesses!

I haven't had any problems with services, they've always been courteous. Even when it gets busy and there's only one staff, they're still very nice. I also love the atmosphere and the overall vibe of the hood and the customers. I really hope this place will stay for many years.

Save yourself the time and go somewhere that actually puts effort into their food.

I noticed as i looked around multiple Kirkland labels, and while there is nothing wrong with Costco i do have an issue with paying a premium for something i could have easily made my self.

My breakfast bagel was a Costco bagel with the thinnest slice of ham i’ve ever seen in my life. Not worth the price, should be $4.

Also the management should allow their staff to drink more coffee or something because they all looked so tired the guy at the cash couldn’t stop rubbing his eyes.

So we haven't been back since COVID and all the restrictions. So you can imagine my surprise when I had an excellent cup of coffee with cream I could add myself and a delicious salted caramel cookie. So soft and tender. I will be back.
This is the cutest cafe is my area. Bright and clean with typically great music especially the alt vibes and an open airy feel.
Love the matcha latte with oat milk or the mocha latte with oat milk. Not super sweet lilke some other places and just the right creaminess texture. My favourite latte place in the city! I don't find the staff overly friendly but that's okay, they're busy and professional and not fake.
Easily one of my favourite cafes in Kensington Cedar Cottage, and a frequent first stop on my way for a walk at Trout Lake. The staff are so kind, funny, and cool - the strongest point in the cafe's favor. The coffee is decent, though their new Cosmic Cold Brew in the summer is outstanding if a little pricey. They have food, including fresh paninis and muffins. When I first started visiting, they would also make really delicious crepes, and this stopped with covid and never started up again. I'm holding back one star in the hopes they will expand the menu a little bit beyond ready made lunch fare.

They have now opened a really cute indoor area, with large tables that are good for solo or group work. They have a small outdoor seating section with some shade - can be hard to find a table during busy hours, but that's because it seems to be a gathering place for the neighborhood.

I was very excited to come try coffee from the famous Prado cafe, I was left a little deflated, it was a standard Italian espresso with no crazy roasting palet. When the barista made the Coffee, it felt rushed, with no love. in an empty cafe.
Forecast coffee is a cafeteria that I liked because it has a different design from the others, and also has good coffee. The food leaves a bit to be desired and the place is a bit noisy. Is a good place to try it.
Great hidden gem in the Davie Street outer zone. Ordered a peppermint tea and they handed over a very cool looking blue concoction with wonderful frothy foam. Reasonable prices and a happy atmosphere makes this a great place to sit down and relax after a nice summer afternoon walk in the neighborhood.

This is definitely my favourite Starbucks ever. Period.
I myself usually prefer local coffee shops but since there non in the area I consider close enough I come here instead. It’s close to the skytrain, just off the bike path and has a bike locking area, but it’s also just off the highway and has a free parking lot so it’s convenient to get to. It’s also wheelchair assessable for those that need a flat path! The ambiance is very nice in there and the way the space is designed makes it seem like it’s never crowded even when it’s busy. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and shady grassy areas too if you like to enjoy the nice weather. The temperature is also somehow always perfect no matter the weather outside which is impressive. My favourite thing though by far are the employees that work here. All of them are so sweet, bright, kind, and seem happy to be there which makes me think it’s a good work environment (I hope at least) - a plus since I know starbucks has a bad reputation towards their employees. I always leave there feeling a bit better than when I did walking in. A+

Great coffee, average price for the neighbourhood however how they differ is they have cocktails and spirits. Also have designated seating for people with laptops vs. laptop tables.
Can’t speak highly enough about this place. I was waiting for my Airbnb to be ready, so spent ALL DAY. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the ‘atmosphere’ was amazing. I sat outside and it was such a nice day, but then move inside to charge my computer. Great place for a coffee, snack, or a hang out.
Very cute cafe with lots of food and beverage options! I did order a breakfast item that had mushrooms on it (which was not listed as an ingredient on the menu) but staff was super quick to fix it and swapped that sandwich for one that didn’t have mushrooms. Excellent service!

Charming little café, super friendly and helpful staff. I tried a little of everything and it was all delicious. Muffins are amazing, breakfast sandwich was killer, coffee was perfect, banana bread was a tiny bit dry but still good. The burrito was mostly rice but yummy anyways and the chicken wrap was mostly green but again, still delicious. Highly recommend this place!

This is by far the best place in Vancouver if you are looking for a local roaster. They have four different type of beans as espresso. The beans change often thus it's worth while to go twice. They draw coffees quite long 40-60s but with low pressure profile 4bar to keep the excellent fruitiness of their beans. A must !!! for any coffee lover.

The donuts here were already good when I first tried them, but they’ve improved now, at least for my personal taste in donuts. I prefer them with more of a dense, coffee-cake-like texture, and that’s exactly the direction they’re moving towards, complete with a delicious, faintly caramelized icing. Too few places have so much attention to detail in their pastries! All-around fantastic coffee place.
Omg what a treat.
This is a diamond in the rough.
Wonderful coffee and fantastic brunch. I had the Turkish egg thing… wow

Busy street and the place is small but that doesn’t matter. The passion they put into the experience was worth it.

5/5 aeropress coffee served with a cute pink/green cup.

I also love to order Latif pour over when the aeropress is not available.

Great food and pastries. I recommend getting a brioche breakfast sando with added avocado.
This coffee shop is welcome for anyone who likes coffee and good pastry. I am obsessed with their mochaccino and cheese croissant. But they offer loaves, a delicious pearl and brie croissant sandwich, muffins, wraps, and more options for breakfast. Also, they have daily soup for lunch! recently they re-open the second room that looks like our living room, it's so cozy. The staff is another great reason that makes me feel welcome and wants to go back. I am so glad to leave nearly and enjoy this place. I really recommend it for those who like coffee, a good place to meet friends and appreciate the amazing customer service. As a bread lover, my only suggestion is they should include toast 🍞 in their menu! 😁

Thank you for reading it, and I hope it is helpful! Enjoy what makes you happy!

I love my experience in PappaRoti, especially finding out about it's Malaysian influence. I got the crazy for kaya bun because the coconut jam reminds me of a pandan spread my mom used to get. I don't like a lot of sweet things so I thought the crazy for kaya was just the perfect dessert. It's not too sweet and the coconut jam really compliments the crunch coffee exterior and the soft buttery interior. I came back to order more from this store and I also like the Moroccan vegan wrap. I'm used to seeing wraps with hummus being very cold and unflavorful but the hummus in the Moroccan wrap is really delicious with the cauliflower and chickpeas.

Nice place out of busy area, feel like an oasis from the madness out there. Nothing really special in terms of decor. I just got a slice of chocolate chip banana loaf today and it was one of the best of this kind that I've tried. Eventhough I won't be rush to be back, there are many many good options in the area, but I will still be back!
We stopped by for a quick afternoon coffee. The decor and interior is nicely designed. There is seating inside for a quick bite. My husband and i ordered an americano and an espresso on ice. Unfortunately they got the espresso order wrong - but it was still good. We ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches which was pretty tasty, how ever we did ask to add a sausage, and that was miscommunicated as well. Overall experience was pleasant.

@papparoticanada ft nutty bun (hazelnut & Nutella)

Went with the safer option of hazelnut and Nutella vs other flavours, as it was our first time trying their bun. Appreciated the layers of texture and the presentation. Wish there was a little more in the bun itself. Heard their ice cream sandwich is pretty good so will have to try that next time!

It's a beautiful café that serves a variety of foods. I got a small latte with oat milk which is the only non dairy alternative they offer, but it's free. What really caught my attention was the vegan muffin I got, orange cranberry. It was delicious. I'll go back for that. Thank you.
*While I've dropped by frequently, today I was delighted to find a vegan cinnamon cardamon bun!? It WAS delicious! Thank you for adding vegan options.
It was my first time here & it’s now one of my favourite coffee shops in Vancouver. 😍 it’s not a huge place, but if you can, grab a seat and enjoy it. Their coffee is next level & the food is delicious too. Highly recommend.

Im an avid fan of this chain and awesome coffee joint, its outdoor seating on a sunny day instantly grabbed my attention and I just had to swing by. The vibe is super cool and gave me nostalgia of being back in Rome or a cute little European-style Cafe.

As such, I didn't hesitate one bit to pickup a 'To Good to Go' app' haul of goodies, and boy did I get a surprise! A filo'loaded Pastry army equipped to take down anyone, fantastic value and great, fresh products made from natural and minimum ingredients. I managed to pickup:

Banana bread chocolate Loaf x 2
Pan au Chocolat
Chocolate Cake

The Loaf slices were also HUGE, super moist and super yum. Everything tastes very fresh and a lot of love put in from their extremely friendly staff.
This is a really nice joint in very close to the Waterfront and always has something awesome for everyone. Definetely recommend and will always return!

2023 update: Now they deserve 5 stars. Great atmosphere and service, delicious flat white and cookie, great menu, saw lots of people ordering food and everything looked great. Computer campers are banned!!! Omg I wish all coffee shops would do that!!! Of course they’re not fully banned, just from some tables which is good enough to keep a nice flow in the shop. They also host cool events, the art on the cup is gorgeous… you can tell it’s a brand that is constantly being worked on to improve for their customers. Good job!! Went back to try their food and it’s bomb, I would just suggest please toast the sourdough for the club sandwich ;)

2022: All pretty nice but forget about getting a table because every single one of them is being taken by someone sitting there on their laptop for 4h sipping on a cup of coffee.

The one starbucks location nearby the Renfrew station inside the Broadway green complex office buildings. It has ultra high ceiling with lovely decor of the Vancouver city on the available space.

During COVID pandemic, with the protocol on restricting seating inside the cafe, luckily there is tons of outdoor seating so it isn't a problem during the sunny weather.

It's my first time visiting this location. There were plenty of seats inside, all separated by plexiglass. I like the colorful flowers on the patio. The interior design is very natural and has a relaxing colour tone. The baked goods looked fresh, so I ordered a croissant and a pour over coffee. The staff told me 5 mins but it was so busy, and there was only one person taking orders and making sandwiches, my order took 15 minutes. My coffee was not hot when I finally got it. I think they should not be serving pour over coffee during busy hours, unless they have extra staff on hand. Anyway, the coffee was great and the croissant was tasty. I would like to try the veggie burger next time.

Always extremely lucky being close to a Starbucks Resere! This coffee joint aesthetics, vibe and decor is awesome and a very relaxing place to grab a cup of Joe. It's also nestled within the tech center and a 2 minute walk from the skytrain which is super convenient.
I was quite disappointed to be honest, I mobile ordered a Blonde Roast Americano which they butchered with way too much milk when I only asked for a light dash, and it therefore ended up tasting very watery and not the creme experience I was expecting which you get from most other Starbucks houses.

Interesting little cafe in a very special and unique community, very fitting! I drive on Victoria very often so this cafe wasn't a "hole in the wall" - off the radar sort of establishment.

It's located on the southern corner of the Victoria Diversion, flanked by Commercial St. Wedged shaped corner building.

The decor inside was very homey and we'll thought out. It reminded me of a humble east-van non-pretentious cafe that welcomes everyone! There were green plants and big windows that allowed for a lot of natural light. The store really pushed the green/environmentally friendly concept - bring your own bubbletea cups/paper straws...

There were three people ahead of me in line. I ordered a deluxe pork bao bun, and at the recommendation of staff a regular size Taro bubbletea/boba. I waited maybe 3~ minutes - fairly quick!

The bun was warm, bubbletea was cool - no ice which is nice. The bun was delicious as the bao was fluffy and light but upon biting in there wasn't much filling. And the bubbletea not overly sweet and had lots of natural flavour - did not taste artificial. I liked how the drink did not include ice to water down the fragrant flavour.

Price is a bit on the higher side, but I can understand why. Overall, I would return again.

Please see my pics!

Absolute hidden gem. I cycled 12km across town to check it out and it was worth every pedal. Super cute, relaxed, clean and welcoming coffee house.
Unless there was a staffing change, I honestly can't understand the negative comments about the staff as they are absolutely awesome, extremely friendly and approachable as well as keep you safe with protective COVID measures. I messed up my own order and the batista actually offered to pay for the difference herself (which I of course tipped her in return).
Everything here is deliciously tasty and a great range of vegan options. They also have a great selection of local roasters coffee and plenty of plant-based milk alternatives.
Unfortunately no current indoor seating, which cannot be helped. However, there is plenty of spaced seating outdoors which is so nice on a sunny day.

Great Starbucks location conveniently located . Friendly staff, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, outlets for charging electronics, and a wide selection of products for sale. Lovely place to hang out with a book and some pumpkin spice in the fall!
Sweet little cafe with nice options for food and drinks.

The staff was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice.

Our drinks were good. My meal was a little different than I anticipated from the description and it was the only fault for me. Likely better to give too much info than too little.

In a single word, yummy! The baked buns are baked and freshly heated on order (so budget sometime!) The topping is beautifully constructed and add layers of texture and taste to the base.

Turkish coffee is well made providing the bitterness and sweetness one would expect. Provided Turkish delight is a nice touch.

Cute little cafe that serves a variety of smoothies, bubble teas, and snacks. I’ve had a few of their smoothies and enjoyed all of them. Staff are very friendly. Decor is adorable and gives the place a nice, cozy feel. It is a lot quieter than most cafes - great for studying or getting work done. I walk past this place regularly and have to say the owners did a great job fixing it up - there is even some seating outside.

Wonderful local cafe! The owner is pleasant and cheerful, they make sure the customers are comfortable. Grilled cheese was crispy and tangy, and the starbright smoothie thick and not overly sweet. Close to the park. Will come here again :)
