The attraction is the show itself. Kids love it and adults also find it entertaining. However the food is terrible. The roasted chicken is way too dry. The corn is tasteless. Only thing tasted ok is the beer.

The museum fully preserves a Chinese tomb and artifacts from different dynasties, including remarkably rare intact murals. The second floor provides a detailed and comprehensive presentation of biodiversity and introduces the diverse animals in the natural world. It's well worth spending an entire day exploring.
It’s worth it to visit this place! They serve you food while they entertain you. Actors and the horses acts so well! Also, the food is good (huge portion of the chicken!). Although, I wish there are more food options available. Overall, it’s such an experience to come here!
The Royal Ontario Museum offers a captivating blend of history, culture, and natural wonders. Its diverse exhibits cater to a wide range of interests, providing an enriching experience for visitors. The attention to detail in displays and the interactive elements enhance the learning journey. However, the sheer size of the museum may be overwhelming for some, requiring careful planning to fully appreciate its extensive collections. Overall, a must-visit for those seeking a well-rounded exploration of Ontario's rich past and global diversity.
A must visit place all through summer, have lots of fun and enjoy good music from amateur artists, those in downtown on a short trip or live in the neighbourhood take out time to spend some quality time with friends and family. Encourage the young artists
One of the BEST entertainment in Toronto. Whole two hours I could not take my eyes off the arena! The service was spectacular, separate thanks to Chris, our server, she was beyond amazing, cute, thoughtful, would love to be seated in her section again!

We were first timers, so we had no idea that we can take our cups with us ( we took 2 white pints). When we got out we saw everyone took cups with them, but the arena was closed already. Thanks to Jack, he was so kind to grab our cups from the arena!

Will recommend to everyone, and definitely be back with friends and family!

Great collection of clay and porcelain works. The museum is moderately sized but densely packed - expect to spend a few hours in here if you want to appreciate everything.
Very large museum, but manageable in a few hours. It had a good variety of exhibits and artworks, from a range of cultures and styles. It is big enough to handle a large amount of people at any one time so you don’t feel crowded when inside. Additionally, under 25s go free which is wonderful for any younger people who wish to visit- no worries about cost! Also, the restaurant is good :)
I love the AGO. It’s a great place to hang out, have a date, or just spend some alone time. There are so many collections that I haven’t been able to explore fully yet. Our favorite is Henry Moore, but the whole place is just so beautiful and captivating, including the architecture. You can visit the cafe and gift shop afterward, and I also love the park right beside it, where you can find sculptures by Henry Moore. I totally recommend it.
I have been many times over the years; this time, our visit was to celebrate my son's 7th birthday. First time for him to attend this venue. He loved it. 2 hours of fun and good food!

We were impressed with the dietary accommodations- being lactose intolerant, the food choices were great! We got veggies and humus to eat instead of the tomatoe bisque/garlic bread, and orange sorbet instead of the dessert of the castle - which looked like cake and/or cheese cake.

One word of caution for staff and patron, we also have a pea allergy in the family; as much as I appreciate the comment about the castle being free from peas in their food, the Veggie appetizer with humus, is not pea free. Thankfully, my son doesn't love humus, so I ate it - it was delicious!

Aside from that cautionary word - the show was great - as always! The main meal was great - I remember getting a quarter chicken, now it's half a chicken.. thank you for giving us "to-go" containers, as I don't like wasting food.

I recommend paying the extra for VIP seating.

Thank you for a memorable evening. 💛

my favorite museum in toronto so far! the ceramic pieces were very delicate with fine details, accompanied by thoughtful explanations / captions. the hallway / staircase featured an exhibition on queer body, with plants, paintings and ceramics, a great addition to the experience. museums cafe and outdoor patio were also delightful.
Wow! What an amazing atmosphere! From the minute you walk in, every person is in full character. We took our 5 year old daughter who actually won Queen of the Tournament, I've never seen her more happy! Food was hot and delicious, service was above expectations. The gift shop had some amazing pieces, which of course we had to grab! Thank you to everyone who made our first time here one to truly remember! Go Yellow Knight!!
the best part of this museum is its massive leather sofas… def a rare event for museums to have comfy accommodations like this! enjoyed its KAWS exhibition and the AR section was engagement and playful, added a nice twist to the traditional visiting experience.

Beautiful space with interesting exhibits. The gallerist was friendly, knowledgeable about the artist, & spent time giving some of us a tour of the space. Would love to see more exhibits here.
Absolutely worth going. Always a great trip for all ages! I just didn't get a picture of the desert but all the food was fantastic. When your serving that big of a crowd it's not going to be piping hot when it comes. All food came warm🙂. It's a great show, lots to do before hand. Take the hour before the show. It's just enough time to enjoy the whole place🙂 we will be back next year!
The experience is just like how I remembered it as a kid. The horses and falconry were a highlight for me. The food was hit or miss; soup was good, dark meat on the chicken was good, but the white meat was super dry. Service was excellent. Audio could be better, I had a hard time understanding the performers when they spoke. They were excellent at addressing dietary restrictions.

*review for Gardiner Museum pottery classes*

We were so excited to try pottery classes at the Gardiner as it's really hard to get spots in their drop-in classes. Due to the process, there were a few more costs than just the class fee. You have to attend at least two classes, and after each class, each piece has to be glazed. In total for two people, it cost us $108. This process is described on their website, so we should've read that in more detail.

Our first class was a bit different from expectations. We selected the hand-building option, while another side of the class was learning how to use the wheel. The instructor that day seemed very focused on the wheel students, and gave the rest of us next to no instruction. Nevertheless, it was a fun experience to get familiar with the clay, and the Gardiner is well equipped with everything you need to make pottery. When you're done your class, you can also take a gander at the museum's exhibits.

At our second class where we were painting our pieces, we realized just what we missed out on in our first class. The instructor this time outlined various tools that you could use to roll out a pattern on your pottery, the different molds available that you could use to shape your clay, and was overall more detailed in her instruction for both the hand-building and wheel students. We were already at the painting step so we couldn't go back and refine our pieces, but I wish we had gotten all of this information in the first class. I guess it's a bit of a lottery on the instructor you get.

Unfortunately, when we went to pick up our pieces (now on our third visit), the staff were unable to find our pottery. After some searching in different cabinets, the front desk staff said that it's possible there was some delay in firing our pieces, so the Gardiner would contact us when our pieces were found. After several weeks of radio silence, I emailed the museum again. It was confirmed shortly after that our works were lost. The initial offer we received was a refund of 2 firing fees (aka $10). We were shocked by this suggestion, and after some back-and-forth, only managed to get $54 refunded (half of our total expenses). Though we did still get a valuable experience from the classes, I would think that a museum would empathize with losing one's works. We would've really loved to take home our pieces. Now, we would have to spend another $108 if we wanted to have a tangible output. We don't live super close to the museum, so that won't be worth it for us.

I hope that others are able to have a more positive experience.

First visit today at Corkin Gallery where I discovered the work of artists Barbara Astman and PeterCampbell. Special thanks to Matthew who took the time to answer all our questions👍🏼
The Toronto Music Garden is a hidden gem and a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. This beautifully landscaped garden, inspired by Bach's music, is a harmonious blend of nature and art. Visitors can stroll along the winding paths, admiring the carefully designed plantings and sculptures that reflect musical compositions. It's a serene place to escape the urban hustle and bustle. The garden often hosts free music events during the summer, adding a delightful auditory dimension to the experience. Whether you're a music lover or just seeking a peaceful escape, the Toronto Music Garden is a lovely and unique destination that offers a respite for the soul.

Visited the Barbara Astmas opening and explored her "Woven Stories" show. The faceted imagery of body parts in the tapestries offers complex interactions in this digital space. The gallery space is also architecturally interesting. Staff were very welcoming and other artists are also featured at the same time.
The best thing about the AGO is that it's free for ages 25 and younger! Unfortunately it is not cheap for memberships for ages 26+, and I probably wouldn't visit if it were paid.

There are some good exhibits, my favourite one has to be the model ships downstairs. I'm not a huge art fan but they do have temporarily exhibits such as KAWs. Overall it's a clean art gallery, well organized with coat check (free for prohibited items like bags). I recommend you buy tickets online to avoid the lineup. There is a gift shop and a Bistro inside. I wish it had longer hours on weekdays.

This gallery has some great shows. Join their newsletter to know what’s happening.
You can easily spend hours here. Four floors to discover and uncover the depths of millions of years. Interactive displays and informative plaques navigate you through the years of history. They have available to touch, the prehistoric bacteria rock that was formed before oxygen was present in the atmosphere. Excellent way to spend the whole day it was nothing short of incredible.

Been wanting to visit the Gardiner Museum because it is right opposite the ROM. Finally visited today, and I was not disappointed. The museum specializes in clay and ceramic works . It has beautiful displays from all over the world both contemporary and ancient. If you want a quiet place to look at art without being overwhelmed then this is the place to visit. Was so lucky to even meet one of the local Canadian artists Silvana Michetti. She took time to explain to me how she makes her pieces. Her art is exquisite! Tickets are $15 for adults but admission is free on Wednesday afternoons from 4pm. And presto card holders get 20% off.
Pro-tip: You can get in for free if you have a reservation at the Clay Restaurant but note that the restaurant is only open from 11am-3pm.

Very cool and creative Laneway homes at Norwood park.
A really fun place to bring your kids to that is for sure! Once is more than enough. The food is very minimal you are pretty much paying the price for the horse show. The atmosphere is very aromatic with horse droppings and the sand everywhere due to horse show so be prepared for that! The staff were all very friendly that is a huge plus.

Used to be a beautiful garden, now a homeless encampment the city is yet to stop from growing.

I love this little gem of a green space so much. Starting in 2023, I have seen tents being erected on the paths with open drug use and needles around. It’s so incredibly sad to see the state of the people encroaching and the way they leave the park when they occasionally move. I really hope this doesn’t become the next Allen Gardens.

I was just walking through the gallery and a rude employee yelled at me with no reason. How would I know where to walk through when there we no signs?

If the employees don’t want you to walk in specific areas, they can mark them or let you know in a polite way.

Serene environment. Great for picnics with family and has a walking trail for solo walks or walks with pets. The summers are awesome here with live band performances. Nice views of the Harbour front and the iconic CN Tower.

Also a great place for marriage proposals (witnessed a few beautiful ones during the summer) 😉
Summer music series Thursday and Sundays June 21 - June 27 2023.
Otherwise also it is a serene escape in the heart of the city. The design is inspired by music.
Also the sandy ship offers free live music on the boat some evenings.
One of the best places I’ve gone long distance walking all summer. The scenery was absolutely stunning, especially walking along the lake. However my favourite part was probably how friendly the people were. Everyone said hello and was social. As someone who prefers going on long walks/hikes alone this place is paradise. You can completely get away and meditate sitting on the rocks, listening to the calming sounds of the water.

Great experience. Came on a Wednesday; got a full tour to myself, which lasted around an hour. Had to enter through the back door due to construction.

Tour guide is very knowledgeable and knows a lot about the history of the house. The building itself is original, although the furniture is not. Also received complementary food to taste test, which is specific to Wednesdays.

Admission is $10 per person. Not too bad. Photos and videos were welcome. Quite enjoyed the experience!

Walk by this all the time to go to the ROM and didn't even know it existed until yesterday. It was a great experience to learn about all the pottery and clay and all the history. Good for a visit. I was reading all the banners and descriptions finding myself lost in history. I even learned something new about bone China. Will definitely return to do some pottery, that looks fun too! Yes and bring your presto card.

Atmosphere/Vibe: Well, literal live music isn’t what you’re going to see at every visit to this music garden in case you’re wondering. However, there are informative markings at each garden that educates you on the types of musics the garden wants you to know about with some other background information.
It is a relaxing place to be. The birds are not shy of people. They’re just looking for their next meal if you want to be friendly to them. Few benches are available to visitors but much more seating on the grass is available if you’d like. It’s a great location for picnics as well. It looks out to the harbour and it’s just a peaceful scenic place to be. Just wished that the actual garden had much more variety of flowers. It’s mostly greenery.

Cleanliness: It is a well kept garden despite the numerous visitors it has had. Unfortunately there are many visible animals excretions that owners have left that is not quite attractive to other visitors. Don’t do that guys. Clean up after your pets.

Facilities: There is one bathroom in the area.

Animals: Dogs are not welcomed in the garden itself because of obvious reasons. Owners think it’s okay to leave the excretions of their pets because no one would’ve seen who’s per did it. However, dogs and all other animals are welcome to walk on the corridors of the garden.
This is a hidden gem. It is designed uniquely with so many variety of plants and trees surrounding. There are benches to sit and calmly enjoy the surroundings. Once you inside the garden you won’t even realize that you are in the city . If you are at the waterfront this is must visit place.
Beautiful flowers! This place is so peaceful and lovely for a walk or to sit. It's very well kept and I loved reading the signs about the different sections. The only issue was that it wasn't clear where we should walk to pass through the garden in order. We ended up missing some of the sections because there's not a natural flow to it.
We visited the museum during the Doors Open Toronto and we were impressed by how organized the event was. We arrived before 11am and there were a few people ahead of us, so we didn’t wait so much to get in.

The house and furnitures were beautiful and well-maintained. Be mindful not to touch or sit on them since they’re rather old.

There was also an art exhibition that we enjoyed while walking around the house.

I loved everything about this museum, came across a tiktok about the Wednesday clay classes. Thankfully we found a spot for it! Had so much fun with my friend. Spent at least 2 hours. If you’re a fan of porcelain and miniatures this place is definitely for you! Our teacher was also very helpful and it was our first time making these.
The textile art exhibit was interesting at the Campbell House Museum during my visit, certainly worth a peek during the Toronto open doors weekend event. It was also interesting to learn that the house was not built there but it was moved from another area of Toronto.

I had a walked following the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail from Rouge Hill and end up in the boundary prior East Point Park because it's getting dark. I found few people going to this trail at that time and followed them. It's a good trail. Hope to go back and continue the trail until the University of Toronto Scarborough if there is. Beautiful trail. Shame about what can only be some sort of waste water that pollutes the beautiful creek.
Unique and interesting museum right across the ROM! It’s not as big but it features a wide selection of pottery, ceramics, and sculpture from different regions of the world. I really enjoyed the Housewarming exhibit. Definitely worth the visit!
The museum hosted a Titanic Tea and Book event for Titanic 111 anniversary of its sink. The setting is gorgeous and the story telling is attractive. Wonderful! I am glad to join this museum event.
Great collection of Inuit carvings and art. Free admission. A little hard to find among the tall, black towers, so you may have to ask for directions. The display tables could use a good dusting.
First of all, we had an amazing tour of the building and what a fascinating story this building plays in the story of Toronto. Visitors and locals alike should take the chance to visit this location. It is a tiny gem that can be enjoyed in a number of ways - as newbies and tourists in Toronto - it was just such an interesting experience to learn about how the house moved to it's new spot Interesting interior!
This is a really neat, free gallery, and it's great that they're open during weekends as well! The space is impressive, being inside the Mies van der Rohe-designed building. I find that the Indigenous & Inuit art styles blend very well with the building's minimalist design. The sculptures are also thoughtfully arranged, being grouped into themes (e.g., women's roles, children, wildlife, hunting, modern activities). The only downside is that the lighting isn't so good; not sure if it's because I visited during the weekend. You could spend about half an hour or more here to appreciate the artwork & architecture.
Couldn't go inside as it was closed and it was really late in the evening but the view from outside is equally good. You can get some amazing photos with backdrop of this 18th century house.

Passed by here on a Friday early afternoon (Dec 9, 2022). Currently it's be pay-what-you-can until December 23 to accommodate holiday programming and private events. Usually admission is $10 for adults, half price for youth and seniors, free for 12 and younger. Highly recommend a visit. The staff gave a really detailed tour of the house, its history and other fun tidbits. I had visited during open door events prior to the pandemic and the tour then was a lot less detailed because of the crowd. I'll definitely be on the look out next Christmas for tickets to a Christmas Carol at the museum next year.

The Corkin Gallery has contemporary exhibits that are a bit more abstract. Not exactly to my taste but it's worth a visit if you're in the Distillery District.
One of the gems found right in the centre of the city. Beauty at its peak and can be compared with bigger woodlands found up north.
The air, after a rain, was fresh. The clouds were light in the east and dark in the west. Planed to go west from the Port Union waterfront Park to the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail/East Point Park Bird Sanctuary, but the trail was closed from the halfway point to the bridge. Went from the East Point Park Bird Sanctuary parking lot to Lawrence through the Lower Highland Creek Park and back. The walk was delightful.
Beautiful Georgian home right in the heart of downtown Toronto, a real look into the past. Our tour guide was fantastic, would go back again, they host really interesting and unique events!

Very beautiful & well maintained trail. You can see the lake shore all along the way...and then, midway, there a little beach as well!
Have been there twice or three times. The hiking trail is a real adventure with scenic perspectives! Better to be in a team with an expert leader or having the map of trail with yourself. Plenty of lakes/river there might have mosquitos during summer, so be prepared for them!

Great local park. Enclosed sandy area for dogs to play. Folks are really welcoming and respectful with how their dogs play/interact.
Lovely place for a walk through nature when you want a paved path. You follow the Highland Creek along to one side and lots of forest. If you follow to then end (south) you find Lake Ontario and the waterfront path. I've seen salmon in the river and deer on the banks. Great place to recharge and destress from city life.

Great trail that isn't ever very busy. There is always been tons of parking. It's not a loop. You walk up and then back. It's well maintained and the bugs aren't that bad. Sometimes the smell is really awful but that's my only complaint and nothing can be done about it. I just wear my mask through certain parts when the smell is overpowering.

One of the best parks in a great neighborhood. Washrooms are summer-only. Wading pool in the summer, ice rink in the winter, tennis all year round. Huge thank you to the neighbours for maintaining the park so well! Also I think there is supposed to be new playground equipment in summer 2021 so that's exciting.
This place is an understated gem. I do not regularly get to see indigenous art on display. The pieces here really tell a story and give a background as to life as an Inuit person while hunting and doing other tasks to survive in the Arctic. Not only that, it helps to remind me that colonization and climate change really disrupted Inuit life. This was my favourite piece there and there are many more to see. Btw it's free so anyone can see the art.
A small gallery of Inuit sculptures. It has traditional sculptures and a fresh modern ones too. It's out of the way and the lighting isn't the best but it's good for a quick visit.
Beautiful trail..however watch out for ticks if you have a dog! We walked our dog there at the end of October and she ended up having many ticks. She was on her leash too and was not in the brush.
This is a nice surprise in the middle of the financial district, accessible in the TD building south of Wellington. If you come up through the underground PATH network, you see an understated sign to the gallery located above the ground floor. There are about a dozen display cases showing mostly stone carvings, showcasing different styles of sculpture.
Nicely paved and well marked walking trails. Great spot to see Fall colours as well in October. Very peaceful and quiet on weekdays especially.

A nice little park with plenty of shady spots. Splash pad is quite in the evenings. Just watch out for all the mulberries on the sand. Washrooms, picnic tables, and tennis courts too!
Interesting collection of antler art. Mostly from 1950’s and 60’s.
There’s an information centre at the entrance with helpful staff. We did the Vista Trail and it was a lovely and very quiet trail. There is a observation deck with views into the forest below. The beginning of the trail is not very well covered so it can get hot if it’s a sunny summer day.

Now that I live very close to the AGO. I figured I would become a member. Love going here when it's not busy and sitting in a few areas. (Mainly Group of Seven Section) it's typically very quiet, even when there's a lot of people walking around. I wish they would have more classical art work or exhibits and have better hours. It's still a great place to visit, even if you are just visiting. Be prepared to spend 3 hours or more if you want to see and enjoy all the AGO has to offer.

Pictures from Kids playing area on WardenWoods park. Its designed kids ages between 5 yrs to 12 yrs old. Very nice playground you can bring your kids during the summer or when the weather is good. There is also a labyrinth and summer times a fountain running on the middle. Parking and Public washrooms available during the season

Another thing is unfortunately ppl use this park are not mostly keeping this place clean and i saw many broken glasses around.
Beautiful park with trails along a very pretty creek. Geocaching too!
Wheelchair accessible portapotties, lots of parking, great vistas, quiet forest 🌳 and varied forests. The only drawback is the highway is close, you definitely hear it and the loop is closed so you need to track back. Other than that it's witchy and wonderful.
One of the scenic bike trails although it's short in distance. Once entered from East Point near Port Union Beach, you can exit from Lawrence Ave. Some parts of the trail is closed for some work and erosion of the banks, great park nevertheless.

Decent tennis court's, with 5 available. Maybe avoid the weekend's, it can be a bit of a wait for court time. Everyone is super friendly and proper etiquette prevails. The neighbouring streets are worth a walk as well, however sadly most homes are well out of range for most folks with many starting at well over 3 million dollars. However, the beautiful landscaping and flora are certainly worth taking in. At least tennis is free and the adjoining Muskoka inspired washrooms are always spotless.
I was so surprised to find this beautifully curated gallery in the middle of the busy, financial district. Some beautiful soapstone and some neat personality pieces as well. A nice break from the daily grind!

Quiet most of the time but can get busy when daycare rolls through. Splash pad, sand box and a good play structure for the kids as well as a tennis court. In the winter they usually create a temporary rink in the field near the tennis court. Has washroom facilities.

Due to the proximity of the dog park off leash dogs can sometimes be an issue.
