Visiting the Museum of Illusion in Toronto was an absolutely mind-bending experience! From start to finish, every exhibit was a feast for the senses, leaving me in awe at every turn. The interactive displays truly brought the art of illusion to life, allowing me to immerse myself fully in each optical illusion. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment of the visit. Whether you're a seasoned illusion enthusiast or simply looking for a unique and unforgettable outing, the Museum of Illusion is a definite must-see in Toronto. I can't wait to go back and explore even more illusions!

The Humber Arch Bridge in Toronto is a marvel of engineering, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetics. Spanning the Humber River, its elegant arch design provides a picturesque backdrop for pedestrians and cyclists. Sheldon Lookout, located nearby, offers breathtaking views of the cityscape and the bridge.

Contrary to a traditional walk-through museum, this venue consisted of a medium-sized room with interconnected smaller rooms. Despite its compact layout, it still offered engaging interactive experiences and photo opportunities, albeit geared more towards children. Our visit, including exploring these spaces and capturing photos, lasted about 20 minutes.

I recently visited the Museum of Illusion. The exhibits were mind-bending, offering a captivating journey through optical illusions and perceptual wonders. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Ronald from the staff. His assistance and kindness added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit, making it a memorable outing. The combination of intriguing exhibits and outstanding staff like Ronald makes this museum a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and delightful adventure.

Had an amazing time! Wish there was more, which isn't a knock at it being small I just wish there was more because it was great! Completely interactive, great for all ages
I recommend buying tickets in advance, was dead when we got there but when leaving absolutely packed! Not sure if they would have accepted walk-ins (we pre-puchased)

beautiful place to visit, you can do anything, walking, running, biking, make nice pictures even a picnic, I enjoy this beautiful place any season

Interesting for all ages. It takes an hour to explore entire museum. I wish it were larger relative to its price. that’s why I gave it four stars.
Washroom was clean and has changing table. Fortunately, there was sanitizer everywhere because you have to touch everything to explore.
Green parking close to the museum.
Adult (ages 16 - 64) 25.50$
Child (ages 5 - 15). 19.50$
Seniors(ages 65+)22.50$

Probably the most obvious or even iconic bridge over the Humber River from the Gardiner Expressway or Lakeshore. The white arch span with white vertical supports is almost a pretty design. The path for both bicycles and walkers is NOT separated so be careful. Views of the Toronto downtown skyline are visible in the distance.

We booked this on their website for a Christmas Day at 10:00am. I was surprised that they were opened. When we went in there was 10 of us. We went from room to room taking pictures. The staff were as very friendly. They explained some of the illusions and took our picture. It took 45 minutes to get through. There was an area to do some puzzles. We ended up buying a few in the gift shop at the front of the store $16 each. There is a room where you can hang up your coat and leave your belongs but it's not their responsibility if something gets taken.
This was a great experience and I only wished it were bigger. But being that it's downtown I can understand their issue with the space.

It truly is a fun place to enjoy the brain teasers. You will sometimes have to look twice to believe what you're seeing because your eyes and your brain will not get along. Especial thanks to Vijay who had constantly been available to take our pics. It's a must visit if you're in the city.

Its architectural elegance complements the natural beauty of the lake, creating a stunning backdrop that never fails to captivate. Whether it's dawn, dusk, or the sparkling lights at night, each moment offers a unique and mesmerizing scene. Living with such an iconic view adds a touch of magic to everyday life. Truly, the bridge next to Toronto Lake is a masterpiece that enhances the overall charm of this exceptional location."

Ok, the Don Valley is awesome. A gift. 500 acres + of parkland, ravine. Loads of trails, nature and wildlife - saw two deer the other day. So 6 / 5 on the awesomeness of that gift. 3 / 5 on keeping it clean. Just picked up 2 jammed contractor size garbage bags full of tossed trash on 100 metres of Bayview Ave, adjacent to the Don Valley. ........
Don't Mess with the Don and amazing volunteers have taken over 275,000 lbs of litter out of the Don Valley ravine in 5 1/2 years.

Very interesting place. I would like to know what all the little wood boxes were?? Bat boxes, bird? For bees?? I wish there were some sort of explanation. The path was wonderful AND THE DUCKS SO FRIENDLY! No we did not feed them. Lol

Was good but being parallel to a main highway not sound proof. Also I could not find the toilets

I recently visited the Museum of Illusions, where the entry fee for two people, including taxes, was $58. Although I enjoyed installations like the poker table and chair setup, I wished there were more rooms or exhibits for the price. The upside-down metro was the highlight. There's no time limit for your stay, but it usually takes about an hour to explore everything. They have a coat room at the entrance and an extensive puzzle collection for purchase. Just a heads up, some rooms can make you feel dizzy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

Great free spot to check out in the city and makes for a great date spot. They have a farmers market on Saturday and when I came on a Sunday we stumbled upon a group of dog trainers. Surrounded by a very nice trail that you could spend an entire day walking around. There is a paid parking lot and head up it can get busy.
Would recommend coming here to explore.

Whimbrel Point at Colonel Samuel Smith Park is a hidden waterfront gem in Toronto. This tranquil spot offers a breathtaking view of Lake Ontario, with a sense of calm that's hard to find in the city.
The walking paths, lush greenery, and the soothing sound of the water make it a perfect escape. Birdwatchers, in particular, will appreciate the diverse avian species that frequent the area.
Whimbrel Point provides a welcome break from the urban hustle, offering a peaceful connection with nature right in the heart of the city. It's a spot that's worth exploring, especially for those seeking a touch of serenity by the lakeshore. 🌳🌊🦆

its a nice place to bring child to go there to hiking or exploring the nature. The parking is 2.5 per hour. 8 dollars full day. It’s better to go in the morning since they don’t have too much parking spots. They have children programs on Saturday too

If parking was free, this would be a better experience. It's a short hike with some nice scenery. $8 weekend parking. The brick buildings offer local shopping, farmer markets and food vendors. Disappointing that at the top of the hill, the courtyard was vandalized with graffiti and tons of garbagem

Lovely place but crowded on weekends

Evergreen Brick works is a former quarry and industrial site that has been converted into a city park. The industrial buildings have been restored and converted into an environmentally focused community and cultural center. It is an excellent destination for a hike with family in an urban setting. During the fall season, it becomes the perfect place to experience the beautiful and vibrant autumn hues. The trails are easy to hike with young kids and provide a spectacular view of the changing foliage. The view point at the end of trail offers a great view of the Toronto city skyline from a distance. The dense plantation in the Don Valley area offers a beautiful natural scenic view. Overall it is a great place to spend quality time in the outdoors in the middle of the city for tourists and residents alike.

We’ve gone back here for many years now. During the summer, it’s a beautiful lush space sprawling with beautiful flora and fauna. In the fall, it’s nice to walk about viewing the beautiful colours. And during the winter, we enjoy having hot cocoa while watching the skaters go around happily about. This is such a treasure nestled in the middle of a bustling city. We especially enjoy the weekend markets. The artisan and vintage market has always given us little treasure finds. Every time we have family or guests from abroad, we always make sure that they get to visit and experience this place as well. Always such a good place to be 😊

I used to see the bridge from Gardiner and always looked beautiful. Eventually walked on it for the first time. Nice view of the lake. The trail that leads to the bridge provides a very pleasant walking experience. Parking lot is only 4-5 minute walk from the bridge.

What a place to relax. If you r around Toronto must visit this place. Good picnic spot too. For bike people it has a great route to bike. 😍

High park is the great time passing spot for children and family. You can find cherry blossoms during the summer and beautiful fall in the park. It has a pond which is peaceful to watch and relax. There is also a zoo where some animals are maintained. There are many playgrounds and activities for children to play. You can cycle and jog here, good vast area for meditation, yoga & all physical activities.

The evergreen’s Saturday Farmer’s Market is a great family friendly spot or if you just want to get some valuable organic groceries. We also tried their freshly baked cremini pizza with their ingredients. The taste was super incredible, because everything was fresh and organic. You can also hike around the Don Valley river park. But sadly the weather wasn’t good and there weren’t a lot of fall colours. You can take the bus from Davisville subway and it takes you to the park within 20 minutes

We did a drive-by to see The Little House. Too cute!

Recommended beautiful attractions by the lake in Toronto. There is a history of early Indians and immigrants doing fur business here, as well as the famous Sunny Side Beach. Before the railway development at the beginning of the last century, this was a famous park that attracted a large number of Canadians from the surrounding area to come for leisure every holiday.

It's tiny. Unique place to visit.

Lovely getaway from the city..they have a wonderful Saturday farmers market although I found it a bit expensive compared to the one I visit often at St.lawrence...the back area has a nice area to stroll and hike.. there is a lookout with downtown view

Beautiful bridge. Green P parking around the area. 3.65 an hour I found so far. Beautiful to hang and walk around. There’s rocks and ledges to stand around. Some chairs.

Amazing blooms in the High park. It’s a must see for everyone and that there is a le petit trackless train . That’s is the best way to visit the park and pond too. Nature oasis inside the heart of the city.

Private home so you can't visit but it is amazing to think Aug 2022 it was for sale for $1.9mill. Nothing to do but drive by and see the place

Wonderful spot to take a walk along the beach and enjoy the amazing view over the Ontario Lake and the the city of Toronto.
The bridge has such a fabulous architecture and shape that it stand for itself as a beautiful attraction. I enjoyed my walk and the ambiance at the sunset on the bridge.

Visited High Park in the evening to see a Shakespeare play Midsummer Night's Dream. Lovely amphitheatre and stage setting. Helpful and engaging volunteers. Beautiful evening at $29.00 a person. Tickets bought online, general seating. Very comfortable chair rentals at $5 and $10. Worth the rental. You're encourage to bring your own snacks, and we did. Went an 1.5 hour in advance - optimal seating choice. Snacked and people watched during that 1.5 sitting in comfortable chairs ($5).

Loved capturing wedding photos here. Beautiful spot in the heart of downtown Toronto!

Beautiful park and the trails in the middle of Toronto. Great place for walking, hiking. The dense nature trails is worth a visit. We walked all the way from this place directly to Sherburne station. To complete the trail from Evergreen Brick works till the end of this park took about an hour or so. Overall it was a escape into nature. Will visit again.

Exploring the city of #Toronto one place at the time. Great place for hikes with the family and lots of family friendly activities on the weekend. They have a cute kids garden as well. The greenhouse also has lots of beautiful plants 🌱
We love the cafe as well for coffee and treats. Lots to see and do whether you’re walking the trails on your own or going with a group. In the winter they have a lovely skating rink that is open to the public for free skating and my kids love it there! A must visit spot if you’re in the GTA!

It is now quite different from years ago when the vegetation was still young. This place is worth a visit if you are in Toronto and want a little escape from the city. It is so close to downtown Toronto. You can walk from Sherborne Station (less than 30 mins) or even from Yonge Station, through the beautiful Rosedale neighbourhood.
The trail head by South Rd is a little bumpy which might not be ideal for strollers. Parking is not free but it's more convenient if you don't want to walk from Chorley Park (yes, free street parking up there).
There's a cafe with patio, a public washroom, a store, bike rental, ice cream shop, and of course the Farmers Market on Saturdays. There are picnic tables by the Farmers Market and a few muskoka chairs by the Lily pond. Signage can be improved as I still struggle to find certain spots I visited years ago.

Beautiful place for a small walk, a cute picnic on the rocks or just to see the skyline

The perfect spot for a picnic. Nice scenic view with the skyline of Toronto. Try go early morning or on sunset with your friends and family.
But too many mosquitoes around so carry a bug spray.

I can confidently say that it is a remarkable destination that left a lasting impression on me. Whimbrel Point is a place of natural beauty and tranquility, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Located in a pristine coastal setting, Whimbrel Point boasts breathtaking views that encompass a rugged shoreline, sandy beaches, and expansive ocean vistas. The combination of rocky cliffs and rolling waves creates a picturesque landscape that is both awe-inspiring and peaceful.
One of the highlights of my visit to Whimbrel Point was the abundance of wildlife that thrives in this coastal haven. The point is named after the whimbrel, a migratory bird species known for its distinctive appearance and melodic calls. Witnessing flocks of whimbrels in flight, with their graceful wings and long, curved bills, was a truly captivating experience that reminded me of the marvels of the natural world.
Beyond the whimbrels, Whimbrel Point is home to a diverse array of bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. Sandpipers, gulls, terns, and other coastal birds can be spotted along the shoreline and in the surrounding marshes. The symphony of bird songs and the sight of these elegant creatures soaring through the sky added to the enchantment of the place.
Exploring the hiking trails that wind through Whimbrel Point allowed me to immerse myself in the natural wonders of the area. The trails meandered through coastal forests, revealing hidden viewpoints and serene spots where I could pause to take in the beauty of the surroundings. The fresh ocean breeze, the scent of wildflowers, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore created a sensory experience that was both invigorating and calming.
For those who enjoy water activities, Whimbrel Point offers opportunities for kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply strolling along the beach. I couldn't resist the temptation to dip my toes in the crystal-clear waters and feel the coolness of the ocean against my skin. It was a moment of pure bliss and a chance to connect with the natural elements that make Whimbrel Point so special.
Throughout my visit, I was impressed by the commitment to conservation and environmental stewardship at Whimbrel Point. The area is carefully protected to ensure the preservation of its delicate ecosystem. Interpretive signs and educational materials provided valuable information about the local flora, fauna, and conservation efforts, deepening my appreciation for the natural wonders I encountered.
In conclusion, Whimbrel Point is a destination that captures the essence of coastal beauty and offers a sanctuary for wildlife and nature enthusiasts. Whether you're a birdwatcher, hiker, or simply seeking solace in nature, Whimbrel Point provides an unforgettable experience that celebrates the wonders of the natural world.

High Park in Toronto during cherry blossom season was absolutely breathtaking. Despite the large size of the park, we eagerly explored to find the beautiful cherry trees, and it was well worth the walk.
The cherry blossoms created a stunning backdrop for our visit, and we were fortunate to have a photographer capture some truly magical moments. The park's well-maintained paths and tranquil atmosphere allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature's beauty.
High Park attracts a lot of visitors during peak bloom, but the atmosphere remained peaceful and inviting. It's an experience that should not be missed, whether you're a nature lover or simply looking for a serene escape.

One of the best buildings listed in Toronto Doors Open. Really enjoyed walking through this unique and classical place.

Great place to birdwatch. There is a bench at yhis point but often occupied. Great view of the Toronto city skyline. Bring bug spray, though, because there were lots of mosquitoes.

Great opportunity through Open Doors Ontario to see this historical place.
Very friendly staff.

Amazing place to visit. Loved the vibe here, nature, peace , beauty. The way it is maintained. Love the little interactions you have with people here. Must visit. Did capture a lot 😀✨Worth the visit🤩🌸

Spent a beautiful day here! It’s breathtaking, you should visit soon!! Make sure to walk with $5 cash for the toot toot train, it runs every half an hour, gives you a tour around the park to places where you might not be able to touch on feet! Totally worth it. 🧡

"This park, adorned with vibrant flowers and offering picturesque walking paths alongside fantastic water activities, stands as a testament to its allure. The venue doubles as an exceptional location for photo shoots. However, it is worth noting that on weekdays, the park experiences a high volume of traffic. Despite this, the overall appeal of the park, with its diverse offerings and scenic beauty, makes it a noteworthy destination for those seeking both tranquility and recreational opportunities."

Great trail for walking, running or biking when it's bright. Won't recommend going after sunset. It gets a little sketchy.

ss the High Park Cherry Blossom Festival in spring! It’s a magical sight to see the pink flowers covering the trees and the ground. The festival is part of the larger High Park, which has many other attractions to enjoy. But hurry, the blossoms only last for two weeks! I recommend taking public transit to avoid the hassle of parking

This is a very unique stop in the city. I brought different family members and friends that have come to town to visit.
It leaves me with a sense of hunger for more every-single-time, it is a very quick stop....I would like to know more about the story of this house, does someone really live there?, how does the space look inside? With the prices in the city, how much could it cost a property like this. I am very curious.

Pretty impressive sign post and views of the city. For the most part it's a peaceful park but it's too bad some dog owners wreck it by allowing their pets off leash. Easy walking and great in the summer.

Very beautiful park in middle of city. You cant imagine there would be such a remote place just besides a highway. You can also continue your walk toward mount pleasant cemetery if you’d like to walk more

This is a hidden gem in Toronto. Once in the park it seems we have reached the country side. Fall is the best time with the riot of colors. Great place for all ages. Must visit if you live or visiting Toronto.

It is one of the most soothing place I have ever visited. This gem of a place is just next to my campus, Humber Lakeshore and I visit this place regularly! Water on 3 sides, ships sailing, frequent kayaks and the Toronto Skyline view makes the perfect combination for a perfect gateway!

Great place to take your kids to ride. It is paved trails and it is very flat. I can't believe we saw deers too.

A unique, historical and beautiful location in the heart of Toronto. Features include an architecturally significant building dating back to 1829 and beautiful and tranquil gardens with several areas to sit and take in the surroundings. Large wrought iron fences surround the area and cobblestone drives are a wonderful feature. Large trees offer shade and one would not feel as though they are in the heart of a large metropolitan city.

Pretty good. The park is pretty small but well maintained. Probably not suitable for older people - you need to go up the hill quite a bit. The parking is plentiful at $8/day but it gets busy on the weekends.

This is one of my favourite parks in the city! I first went there many years ago before the buildings were restored as part of a field trip. I learned about the wonderful geological features, like fossils of trilobites and even a giant beaver! However, the beautiful wetlands were what captured my heart. It’s so amazing to see wildlife like snapping turtles and blue herons in the city! I highly recommend hiking up to the lookout, especially in autumn to take in all the glorious colours.

I give the park and the Lower Don River Trail 4 star for it's natural beauty and the way it's kept untouched at the heart of the city.
But I got one star back because there are no seats or any washroom facility along the trail (unless we get further off the trail).
I understand that we don't want to disrupt the natural environment by construction, though, at least seats along the trail at safe places and environmentally-friendly structures and washrooms do help to attract more people and the ones who can't walk long trails without getting rest along the way on seats.
This good trail also needs more access by providing more entry paths to the park from all neighbourhoods around the area.

The park starts at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and leads to the Brickwork.
In recent years, the path was expanded and widen.
The "best" parts are next to the ponds near the Brickwork factory where they also hold a weekly farmers' market every Saturday (not in wunter).
One can park there ($6 for 2 hours and $24 for 24 hours). The very clean public washrooms are there.
The ponds have water lilies, turtles and some fish and the walkway is very leveled and even suitable for people in wheelchairs.
At the Brickwork, they hold weekly Saturdays' farmers market and there is a restaurant/coffees hop as well.
Please also see additional photos that I posted under the Evergreen Brickwork heading.

Peter Pan Statue as a public art since 1929. Statue was installed in the middle of Glenn Gould Park which is located on the corner of Avenue Rd. and St.Clair, Toronto.

Perfect place for a Park with so much foot traffic and or bikes traveling the trails of the Don River. Just needs some picnic tables for the summer months. We made our way from Riverdale Park West today and hiked along the Don River up as far as Pottery Road and so much has changed over the years. I miss that wooden structure that we used to walk or bike on that passed under the bridges. Now the trail takes you away from the 2 bridges and no sign of the past.

It's hard to believe you are still in Toronto when you visit this terrific park. It's a beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature and wildlife - especially during the fall. We even spotted a beaver on our walk today!
Take the trail to meet up with the Beltline, which then leads you to Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
You can literally walk for miles and miles in Toronto's interconnected ravine system.

Take a minor detour if you’re walking on Dufferin in this area and check out Toronto’s littlest house.

At 300 square feet, this house is the smallest in Toronto. It was even featured on an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres show a few years back.

I can't believe I passed by this beautiful place and never realized what it held inside! This building has a gorgeous library and it's full of paintings of past treasurers, each with their own unique touches! There's a dining hall thats been used for over a hundred years with short little seats because people were tinier back then. Come in for a treasure trove of Canadian law history :)

Very beautiful from the outside! The trees are absolutely lovely and the old design and floors were a sight to behold. One of the cooler architecture pieces of Toronto as it was designed more than 100 years ago! Definitely a treat to have explored it during doors open Toronto, as it was a great cultural experience and a fun one too! Definitely recommend!

I have passed by so many times but never went inside. What you may not know is that this building is open to the public. Before entering you are subject to a security check, however. Be sure to visit the law library.

I have not visited the house yet but l thought it was cool to see a tiny house in a big city really being lived in.

Really interesting building to look inside of. It's the home to the law society and has a couple of really old artifacts from when the society was founded. There is a law library full of reference books to cases, but it is a public space, so anyone can go there during office hours to work in the library. It's a very beautiful space.

I have friends who live on this street, and though they prepared me for “the little house” it still wasn’t quite what I was expecting, it really is a tiny house amid a “normal” street. Real quirky feature that’s worth seeing!
