They charged my husband more than a one night stay for a booking he rang back to cancel immediately after booking it. Apparently they keep your credit card on file for months after your stay and can just charge to it when they feel like.
They made 3 different transactions on his card, when he rang to inform them they said he didn’t cancel with notice. He never actually made a booking, enquired about the price and said it was too expensive, they said they’d pencil it and he could ring to cancel if he found somewhere else, which he did.
It now has to be dealt with fraud Australia and the credit card company but people can’t afford to be out of this kind of money.
We just had a fantastic 5 days at The Point in Bargara. Aside from a problem with our booking (not managements fault) that was quickly resolved everything else was great. Our apartment was modern spacious and clean and the view superb. Thanks in particular to Peter and Debbie who smoothed our booking issue and were welcoming and friendly.

Fabulous to stay at The Point Resort. Sharon has a Great place to stay for doing our Support Worker Hub training and assessments in Bundaberg and Hervey Bay.

Full self contained room, good size kitchen , bathroom, spa and wash machine and dryer in the unit. Good underground parking .

Easy access to beach walk and close to shops.
We have a new place to stay The Point Resort in Bagara Queensland.
This is our 4th stay here. Sharon goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs and wishes. The units have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchens are fully equipped and so are the units' laundry facilities. There are family friendly beaches in both directions, as well as a wonderful pool, BBQ. putt-putt and table tennis area at the resort. There is also a shopping complex and service station a very short distance by car. We'll be back again.

We just recently stayed in room 208. It was dirty with dust on most surfaces and build up of dust behind and under all beds. The windows were disgusting too, with the tracks full of dust and bugs.
The 4 single beds were on wheels with no brakes, meaning they rolled around on the vinyl floor everywhere.
We did ask if we could have the wheels chocked on day 2 of our stay, which was semi fixed with what chocks could be found and either 1 or 2 of the 6 wheels were chocked on each bed, so they still rolled across the floor.

The ensuite toilet seat was dangerously loose, we asked for that to be fixed on day 2 also, which it was.

There was water damage to the floor next to the kitchen, which had formed a big hump in the floor and vinyl was lifting along the vinyl and tile seam. The kitchen cabinets were also damaged from the water.

The furniture was old and had chips and laminate peeling off it. The lounges were uncomfortable with some cushions higher than others with springs obviously on their way out.

I had to exterminate a cockroach 🪳 I found crawling all over the main bathroom vanity top one night.

The main bed was meant to be a king but was a queen, and the ikea mattress was that old and BROKEN that the sides of it had collapsed out and it felt like we were going to roll out of the bed all night on each side.

The real cruncher for us was when I pulled back all the sheets off the beds on departure and left them in the middle of the bed (as I always do)…. The main bed mattress was MOULDY!!!! And full of brown stains!! The mattress was well and truly past its time. I felt sick knowing I’d just spent 3 night sleeping on that!

Upon checking out at 10am on Saturday morning, to voice our concerns about the mattress I’d just discovered, the reception conveniently opened at 10:30. There was no paper provided to leave feedback either.

The room served its purpose, but that’s all it did. It needs a bit of love and attention and some money spent on it to bring it up to a standard you would expect from a hotel.

Whilst the reception staff were friendly and prompt with the couple of little things we asked for, we expected better. Providing a clean and working mattress, with sides that aren’t collapsed should be standard.

My stay at The Point has been enjoyable. The host is pleasant and friendly. She happy to help in anyway she can. The room is tastefully decorated with everything you would need. There's a nice pool area and of course ocean swimming across the road. There are plenty of eateries nearby. I decided on paying for a room with ocean views. Delightful.
We stayed in an apartment booked via AirBnB. On the 25th Sept, I went down to the Manager and asked where in the local area could we park a second car for 1 night, as we only had 1 space with our apartment. He was extremely unhelpful and rude, and said he didn't know and had nothing to do with AirBnB. I explained I was happy to park offsite somewhere and was looking for a recommendation for somewhere secure, to which his response was a big shoulder shrug and "what do you want me to do, pull a parking space out of .....". I was so shocked, I simply had to walk away.
I've been the Landscape gardener for over two years.
Beautiful people that live there & Management Tana & Chris have been great to deal with.
When I first started working there the place was an overgrown mess. I turned the place around. Now that I've left i unfortunately believe the place will no longer look as nice as what I've kept it too.
Recently been let go because of internal financial issues. RPC are cutting costs.
Managing director Andrew from RPC/management firm is not a very nice person. Very cut throat businessman!
Ive given a one star because of Andrews none compassion & ungratefulness
Best place ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best places I’ve visited. The build quality is buy worthy! Also amazing spot opposite park land and ferry.
we booked a unit for 5 days through www. carringtoncourt . com. au
we received confirmation and provided credit card, turns out the website system was not operated by the actual hotel owner? it re-directed us to another 3rd party platform, so our booking and email confirmation was considered (by the hotel) not valid and we have been told the hotel has been fully booked.. there is a bit of inconsistent information presented.. anyway was hoping to have a good time there... recommend calling their reception to confirm availability and booking... dont trust the online system ....
We are semi retired and holiday often. With the difficulties flying interstate and overseas we are tending to stay local and holiday on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. This place is however off our list of places to consider given the service, lack of response to my email and the response they provided to my son and daughter-in-law when they had to cancel at the last minute due to a seriously ill baby. Several attempts were made to contact the manager prior to checkin but he conveniently ignored all attempts. I got NO response to my email. He asked my son to consider it from his perspective ie “it’s a pandemic”. Perhaps this manager needs to consider the perspective of others too. Perhaps others have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic as front line workers in the health sector and given up days off to do extra work on Covid wards. And perhaps due to the pandemic and the demands of work this is the first holiday for two small children since the beginning of the pandemic. Some sense of decency may have been to give a part refund or even a refund of a cleaning fee (as no one used the apartment and no cleaning had to be done). All I can say is WELL DONE to this manager. He has lost the business of a large family and all of their friends.
We recently had a booking to stay at Carrington Court.
Unfortunately, on the intended day of stay, we had to cancel as our 4-month old child became ill with a respiratory virus- requiring hospital admission.

We attempted to contact the hotel via phone and email, but received no response.
We were charged the full rate for the stay.

We eventually got on to the manager, David, to enquire whether a partial refund or credit toward a future stay was possible.
David denied this request, offering “a better rate” as concession, which was not an acceptable offer given the circumstances and large cost involved.

In the context of the pandemic, the inflexible refund policy is extraordinarily shortsighted.

We had hoped for our first family holiday since covid- but instead we will not be staying a at Carrington Court ever again, and we would actively not recommend this hotel to all.
Not enjoying while living here. There are some oldies who meet up in events thinking they own the building own others people’s. Lots of Karen’s here. Racist people. You’ll be asking questions what’s your room number if your skin ain’t white.
Nice and peaceful place for living just next to the shore. ❤️❤️
Very nice clean with awesome wiew...great position...but short on kitchen utensils and provided buggy is very bad that we literally need to push him up hill on few occasions....

I had lived at Riverlight Apartments for a few months, and i do not have nice things to say about it, Carpets had a film of dust over them despite the apartment being brand new, it also irritated my feet giving me a rash.

Building managers were nosey/micromanaging, unfit for any job involving anything social. construction site was very loud and annoying, as well as eat street. All of the staff appeared to be apart of the same family, body corporate would not be impressed.

Neighbours were very kind, but still would not recommend living here, apartments up the road at Portside are much nicer. 1 star

Eat Street has good doughnuts.
The most appalling accommodation we’ve booked to date - apartment was dirty, ill equipped, furniture old and damaged to name just a few of their shortcomings
From the moment we checked in and opened the apartment door the view pulled us into holiday mode. The management Jenny &Garry were so friendly and always had a smile and a hello if you passed them around the complex. The apartment itself number 41 was above and beyond what we had expected such a clean welcoming feel about it. The location was perfect and we most defiantly will be going on GC holiday getaways at Carrington again. Thank you to management for such a relaxing clean affordable family Xmas get away .
Nice place to live.

I live in these apartments and I have to admit I was happy to move in as they have a great view and it is quite out here...

The property management team on site are micro mangers and will watch you through the camera system and email you every week with very trivial problems..

Stuff like “your friend has parked in the visitors parking to long”

You have to hide from them!

They really are life invaders..

The carpet in the units is horrible and malts so bad.. I brought a top of the line vacuum with special head to keep it under control..

Good luck I fill up the dust catcher full only doing one room..

Little balls of fluff keep magically appearing on the daily.. I joke about it when in the elevator with other residents..

When you are ready to move in ensure all of your furniture is tiny as it won’t fit in the elevator and there is no service elevator to get your larger gear up..

The visitors Parker is actually for tradesmen and cleaners.. that’s why it needs to be controlled in a over the top way..

No storage area in parking as well..

The owners of the unit seem like lovely people but I think they have been sold a lemon..

Won’t be renewing my lease..

Eat street is cool though!

The best place I've lived in my life!
Nice spacious apartments with an amazing view over the brisbane river and the CBD. Has public transport, shopping centers, Dendy cinema, bars, restaurant, cafes dog parks, Dominios, sushi bars, childrens playgrounds and gyms all in walking distances. Conveniently down the road is Eat Street Markets and the cruise ship docks right next the the apartment. Everything you need is right there at your finger tips. So there is no need to go any where else. LOVE living here and would recommend this place to everyone.
I have lived here for 4 years since the day it opened
I used to live in there. Very good location for schooling, eating, posting, visiting doctors, sporting, shopping. U almost can do anything u like within 10 mins walk.
