A must-visit! It’s really beautiful, with many trails for various walks. I recommend taking the one that leads to the top of the mountain for a breathtaking view! You also have the chance to see many animals, including lots of kangaroos (especially in the morning). It’s truly exciting to see koalas as well.
The view from the top is amazing. Opening out to Tuggeranong lake, Tuggeranong and Kambah. Sorry deleted photos after posting on Facebook.
Only a 45-mins drive from Canberra. Went here for the Tidbinbilla Open Day and had a great time. There were lots of activities and useful information, we got to learn about first aid, nature conservation, and cultural experiences. Overall, a good fair and we had a blast.
Spent an afternoon here in September. Fantastic experience, wandering around among Wallabies and Kangaroos. Also Koalas up close. Worth every bit of the very modest entrance cost
Depending which way you tackle the walk, i started from Queanbeyan side.
Bit steep but worth it.
Great view from the top.
They have closed-off the old trail and opened up the new one. So, It would be new experience for those who have climbed this hill before.

Golden Wattles are extra perks.
Exactly what you're expecting;

A Nature Reserve with an eye towards animal care. They have a number of sectioned Animal Sanctuary areas, a Veterinary Team on-site, and more than a dozen separate walking trails.

Their team members are very knowledgeable, and were extremely happy to answer the questions that my USAmerican guest was asking.

I'm really glad I took the day off to go here.
Better than Noosa Heads, beautiful beach , plenty of parking , manicured gardens . A real happy feel , a good place to visit.

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is an absolute gem, deserving of 5 stars. Nestled in the Canberra wilderness, it offers breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. The hiking trails are well-maintained and showcase the natural beauty of the area. The sanctuary's commitment to conservation and education is commendable, making it a perfect destination for families and nature lovers alike.
Lovely nature reserve, I was able to see Wallabies in the wild, Koalas in a protected area and did a couple of short enjoyable walks. Worth visiting.

A beautiful place to go to disconnect and enjoy nature. It is easy to get around the nature reserve by car, if you are lucky you will be able to see various animals such as emus, koalas, kangaroos and different birds. It also has areas for picnics and barbecues, and different paths for hiking.
A beautiful walk in suburban surroundings. Picnic facilities with access to the Molonglo River.
It ‘s good place for recreation with path for jogging, cycling or even strolling , dog walking. It’s the river flowing through with 2 man made lakes . But theter no big tall trees so shades are sparse so make going out well with sunglasses on the shining day.

Very chill place to walk ur dog or just walk
Great updated playground. Our little one loves it.
Back to nature, hidden gem. Truly beautiful place ,let's keep it that way!
Great new play ground, good looking walking tracks/bike paths.
Great view, relatively easy walk along well maintained tracks, steep in a couple of sections, nice area to walk your dog.
Incredibly beautiful and peaceful area with fantastic hike options. I did the Gibraltar Peak hike, which took me about 4 hours with lots of time to hang out at the top and stopping often to take pictures. I saw lots of wildlife, including kangaroos, mountain dragons, skinks, and a lot of interesting birds. I enjoyed reading about the history of the area and the significance it has to native Australians on the many informative plaques. It was a Sunday with beautiful weather but it was not crowded. The building was closed when I was there. Note that there were not bathrooms since the building was closed. I would have loved to spend more time there!
Beautiful day out with the kids. Mel & Mark are excellent with the kids and very knowledgeable.
Beautiful place at dawn
Great hikes in the area. Pages Pinnacle is a must do.
One of the most enjoyable short walks on the coast.
Amazing views on Tuggeranong Hill. It's good exercise especially on the way up. Dogs can be taken on leash. One of my favourite places to go for an outdoor walk.
when you need a moment and you find beautiful and peaceful views not far from the Tuggeranong Town Centre
Unlike other places, this is a nice shaded walk between the beach and the inevitable car park (this is Australia) it is a nice well maintained walk.
help im stuck here
An excellent new Parkrun in the Canberra Quenbeyan district. 100+ m elevation but not too steep. The track is well graded and prams can be taken up fairly easily. All down hill from the hallway mark.
Lovely nature reserve with many small game trails to explore!
Lovely place too go ....amazing 🚶‍♀️ 😍
Good walking trails
Loved this coastal walk, lots of eateries picnic area, along the way, flat easy walk/ dog friendly, with fantastic views of the sea. Couldnt have asked for more, had a real buzz.
Great views! some parts are a steep climb, we walk our dog up there and our cat follows
Always an absolute delight
Great morning walk. Steep hill climb but considering its the first walk I have done in years, I made it ok with multiple rest stops.
Track intersection
perfect place for walking and u r in for a treat if u want to see kangaroos.its only about 1.5hrs walk.
Pretty, hidden, has a loo. I think I should have mentioned the free-flowing river: if cycling take breathe deeply before tackling the climb out!
5* always views of the ocean Mother.N absolute winner in my eyes. It's so wonderful seeing ppl up in the mornings doing there walks, swim in the ocean, running, riding there bikes. Beautiful time to meditate 🧘‍♀️ is when that amazing light of the Sun coming up to greet us all to start the day.

A nice walk leading up to Browns reserve. There's a playground on the route and the pathway is well maintained and pleasant for a walk. Parking is available on the roadside adjacent to the reserve too. Dogs are required to be on leash, but there are areas that permit off-leash areas.
Average walk to about an hour. There is a drinking point near the hill, overall o.think this place is good for a walk... Love it

Good quiet location
Such a good walk, not too steep or too long. Views are gorgeous.
Beautiful walk. Just come well prepared with water.
Great walking, trail running and mountain bike tracks. Lots of active native animals in the late afternoon. Steep climb to the lookout, but well worth the trip. Several entry and exit points to track system.
Beautiful views of the Brindabellas, the Murrumbidgee River and the Tuggeranong Vallley. The path up to the lookout has been recently improved so it's no longer slippery. The gradient is quite steep but it's also a shorter walk than say, My Taylor. There is a chair at the summit to relax and enjoy the views. This walk pretty much guarantees that you'll see kangaroos!

Note that the nearest public toilet would be at Tuggeranong Town Park.
Love this place, particularly at sunset. Spectacular views all over. Also several great walks ranging from easy to hard.
Much improved over past years. Plenty of room for everyone and very stroller, scooter, bike friendly.
Although it is close to the water treatment area there are some nice walks around here with signs. Sheppard's lookout provides a great view over the area.
Very beautiful scenic park with big picnic spots with firework pits where you can barbecue on fire plates. Can play soccer and cricket badminton etc etc as the area is big between fire pit spot. Carry aluminium foil so that meat cook well. Good decent toilets.
This is a fantastic nature park—my favourite so far in the Australian Capital Territory as the walking track gently undulates across a number of sparsely treed hills that give you the most wonderful views of the Tuggeranong Valley and the Murrumbidgee River. The bird life is amazing. We saw a flock of Sulphur crested cockatoos, Eastern rosellas, Crimson rosellas, Superb parrots, Magpies and Wattle birds in the hour we were there. We also saw kangaroos. There’s a rock cairn and a deadfall pile on Urambi Hill, as well as a bench seat to take in the view.

The park is dog-friendly as long as they are leashed. The track is affected by water run-off so wear your sturdy shoes. Not recommended for prams or people with mobility challenges.
A beautiful climb with views of Tuggeranong and surrounding suburbs. Surface is a little rocky and steep in places so sturdy foot wear is a must.
Lots of walking trails through the bushland. Great views at the summit.
Great walk , some hills , dogs love it, be mindfull of other runners & cyclists , very rarely see anyone on the trail.
Nice relaxing place for a walk and a picnic by the river
Love this area if you are into a short bush walk absolutely amazing. Also tried a bit if fishing for COD but not even a chase. Still think this walk is great.
A good easy walk along a fire trail to the summit, with pleasant views over Queanbeyan.
Lovely steep walk down to the river. It is quite steep and slippery, hiking stick recommended. Great views, watch for snakes. Usually a few kangaroos around. No toilets, definitely not for walking impaired. It is possible to swim in the river but it is cold water with snags and holes so be aware.
Nice area for a walk. Plenty of bird life along the river.
Small but great and safe playground
Great place for walks, hikes and trail runs or just to soak up the great views. Urambi Hills reserve trails go up the hills, around the hills or down to the Murrumbidgee river corridor. Absolutely wonderfully place right next to the Canberra suburb of Kambah.
8 and 10 year olds climbed up to the peak and did the circuit in 1 hour. Great views of the valley, steep in sections and Rocky but easily done.
Nice little walking track through here.
I cannot count how many times I have been here. I just love this place. Unfortunately depending on what times you venture there at night you may come across hordes of tourists, which does not make for a pleasant walkthrough, and you have minimal chance of seeing any wildlife. If you can stay up late enough, best times to go are from around 11pm onwards. Bring a torch, for best results make sure you take a red torch. It will make less disturbance on the environment around you therefore higher chance of seeing wildlife.
A wonderful park with a variety of walks for all ages..kids will love going behind the waterfalls at Twin falls and through caves
Very nice park. I went here to do some rock climbing. Hot as heck in summer so take a whole load of water.
Great relaxing place
Beautiful place to explore and unwind.
Too rough for casual walkers, too short for serious hikers. Nothing to see until the top, where there is a small viewing area of a small part of Queanbeyan.
Riverview Cottage at Molonglo River
Another wonderful mountain bike area in or near Canberra. Some quite difficult sections for beginners with rocky and sometimes steep ascents and declines. There are also 10 or so small bridges with some quite narrow.
Good vantage points to see spectacular water falls. "Best of All" lookout is well worth walking to as you go through ancient rain forest to the lookout taking in magnificent views of the Tweed and Gold Coast. Picnic areas as you go up the mountain. Take care driving up as the road is windy narrow and some blind corners.
This is not my favourite hill to climb. It's nice and tall, and straightforward, but the two options for gaining the summit are a fire trail covered in loose gravel (which is particularly dangerous on the descent), or indulging in a bit of cross country climbing up a weed-infested slope. The views of both the Lanyon and Tuggeranong valleys are certainly nice though neither is particularly photogenic.

The nicest parts of this Hill are found on the lower slopes on the eastern, western, and southern faces.

It would really benefit from some better pathways as found on Mt. Taylor or even Urambi.
a.k.a. Yammerbook Nature Reserve -Google Maps thinks Yammerbook is a nasty word and wont accept it. Nice pleasant green open areas with mature trees of medium height. Lot's of birdlife and the sounds they make. Solid wide pathways that connet to local streets and the longer trail nearby.
Nice walk. Also worth heading to the Kama Nature Reserve across the river.
A fabulous Canberra recreation area in the making. Lots of amenity improvement work being done, as well as important nature conservation activities. Well worth a ramble along the Molonglo River Corridor.
