What a beautiful beachfront location. Second timing coming here but first time with kids. They loved the jetty and beach as well as the playground. I wish we had more time to spend there
I had a fantastic time at Glenelg beach. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking, casting vibrant hues across the sky and creating a mesmerizing view.

Busy enclave with some good restaurants, bars and places to eat. The beach itself reminds me of English beaches only with sand in places of stones. Wind picked up a little so was a bit chilly around sunset, but great vibe around with volleyball being played and the sunset.

Always good. Clean. Clear water. Little bit of surf - nice for small children. Volleyball courts. Plenty of beach area to play ball games with friends. Pay attention to signs at northern end of beach. Don't swim on other side of rock outcrop where channel is. Lots of lovely shops to wander thru. Tons of different food shops. Bars. Outdoor Plaza area. Buskers. Tram (Adelaide city to Glenelg) stops right in the middle of it all. Friendly. Grass areas to kick a footy around or have a family picnic. It's all here!

One of the best walks to be one with nature.. has everything from kangaroos to koalas and a variety of birds. Easy walk too..

It's an amazing place for dogs. My mini dachshund had a really good time there. She was able to run everywhere. It’s a pretty big enclosure. She also met some good friends 😊.

We've been driven pass this place many times but just realised this park was a hidden gem since we got kid now.

Very beautiful place for family . Sensory facilities with the awesome design than any places and could encourage the toddlers to play and touch.

The human made waterfalls was gorgeous.
Good for picnic as well.

Very nice place. Good to be here with family. You will have quality time. The place is very well maintained. Well connected from Adelaide city by tram/train. Evening time is best.
This place is a TREAT! We went at the very beginning of spring; it was the absolute most perfect weather.

There are absolutely hundreds of kangaroos everywhere. They are used to having folks walk through so don’t pay you much mind.

The park itself is SO beautiful!

In addition to seeing the kangaroos and their joeys, we saw two koalas up in a tree. It was a really lovely experience and we will surely bring our friends and family here.
The park is a great walk and to see some wildlife. Kangaroos, koala, birds are all around you. The koalas are a bit harder to see but plenty of kangaroos.
They should maybe invest in some toilets at the carparks and possibly some seating around the walks.
Worth a walk around.

I went there by tram, take the Glenelg tram. Around 30 minutes. It was beautiful and definitely worth a visit as a tourist destination and family destination. There’s playgrounds and the shops located nearby are great. The beach is so clean and you really can just stand and stare at the scenery. It’s was very ‘healing’ for me
This place is lovely.
You can have fun surrounded by beautiful nature, see kangaroos, birds, reptiles and if you’re lucky koalas.
Everyone is very respectful about all the park and there’s a lovely vibes around.
Must go (all free)

Such a wonderful place. So many excellent events to learn about sustainable living and so much more.
Excellent place to enjoy the nature and see the wildlife at Gold Coast. Less than 30mins drives from Surfers Paradise and plenty of spaces to park there. Also, free of charge!
Not suited to seniors on bikes. Visited Aug 2023, parked in the lovely big bitumen car park. The main entrance to the park was a challenge for us to get our bikes through the barriers put in place to stop motor bikes. Once inside we found that none of the advertised gentle fire trails start from the main entrance. Got the bikes back out through the barrier and looked for someone to tell us how to get on to a gentle fire trail. A helpful person advised us to cycle out of the car park down German Church Road where a kilometer along we would find the entrance to a fire trail. We found the next entrance and negotiated another barrier. Setting off on this new trail things looked pretty good until it got steeper and steeper. It got to a point where we couldn't even push our bikes up the hill it was so steep and all large loose gravel. Worked our way back to the car, instead of a relaxing ride through the forest we both felt like we had been through an ordeal. Whoever rated these tracks as easy must have been a world champion downhill racer. Seniors beware!
Great place to visit in Gold Coast!
You can see Kangaroos and Koalas!

If you want to find Koalas, they're sitting very high place. So I recommend you should try to looking higher up in the trees.

Also, just walking around this place is amaging.
We enjoed beautiful nature just in 15 mins from Surfers Paradise by car.

This lies on Whadjuk Noongar Boojar, all respects to the traditional custodians and owners of the land. Absolutely stunning scenery, abundant in wildlife and a sense of peaceful coexistence with nature. The path is a 1km long path that is open to walkers, runners and cyclists. Bring your camera!!!
Great place to walk around. Friendly kangaroo’s and koalas.
Great for mountain biking, running, walking, horse riding. Make sure you take a pic of the map as its a large area.
Often walk with my friend & his little Maltese 🐶here at the small dog park🐾. Also has a large dog park - plenty of space for both! Today, explored beyond the beautiful grassed open areas surrounded by natural trees 🌳and scrubland that lead to a pond with long necked turtles 🐢They have paths in the bush land that have a variety of sculptures 🐍🦘& a Piney lake Community garden 🪴and Education Centre. There’s plenty of parking 🚗as you enter the park opposite Corpus Christi College where you will see the sensory garden, barbecue area 👨‍🍳, ponds with fountains ⛲️and toilets 🚻#pineylakereserve
Some great walks and rides. It is always great being able to take the dog as well.

Enjoy the tranquility of raw nature at its best, and then only a 5 minute walk away from a fine coffee bar!
A favourite place to go for a chilled mountain bike ride in the Redlands. If you enter at Days Rd it keeps your ride pretty flat. Want some hills and a bit more of a workout, then enter off German Church Rd.
It's awesome! So many kangaroos especially on the grasslands, you cannot count them. There are also koalas living in this Park, but they are difficult to see. In general a very big conservation area with many walking tracks, also easy accessible by public transport (takes about 1hr from Surfers Paradise). Plenty of parking lots, free entry.
Date of visit: Mon 15 May 2023
Time : 10 am

I parked at the Coombanah car park. Very few parking lots and some available off-road parking spaces.

I did the Melaleuca boardwalk circuit then continued via the Kangaroo trail towards the Koala trail. I didn’t finish the whole koala trail. I doubled back the same way except for the last section, where it’s a short distance to the carpark.

The kangaroo and koala trails are without canopy so could be pretty hot if the sun is overhead. On a cloudy or overcast day, it is a pleasant walk amongst nature.
Scenic and relaxing.

Beautiful Swamp
Such a beautiful park! It's big but not too big that you get lost. There is lots of signage, public toilets, 3 massive dog play areas and lots of shade and places to sit. The one thing that would top this park off is a coffee truck or van for people to have while sitting in the park. The play area for kids also looks fantastic.

Beautiful conservation wet lands with board walks, cycling, and walk paths alongside the river with an assortment of wildlife.
Approximately 25min walk.
This is by far my favourite spots for our dog.
Ample tree, new fenced off dog area now near the waterfall and car park. Small dog area, all dog area and a training section.

My dog is like a five year old at kindy she can’t wait. I still like to take her on a open walk and then through the pathways where the dogs need to be on leads but it’s open, clean
Always seeing council workers here cleaning maintaining things.

Paths are go
Weekends are busy kids families dogs

Good dog fountains and bottle top ups

Love it
I wasn’t very happy at first with the new dog park section but it’s actually not as bad as I thought it would be
Lovely scenic Riverfront Area
Always something different to see and experience, it's such an amazing place.

Lucky for me, it's just a short bike ride away. This morning we had Kookaburras, Kangaroo and amazing weather at 06:30hrs.

Need a place to switch off, then take an hour for a stroll here.

Also, the Rangers seem to have a great sense of humour, given the attached image. 😁
Drove past here recently. Looked liked that there was a couple of walking tracks here. Not too many people around. Not much of a normal wetlands but maybe a worth while a look.
A great hour. We were surrounded by scores of wild kangaroo and later saw 2 koalas. Great spot to photograph nature just 5 minutes from Harbour town
Nice large park with walking and biking trails through flooded forests. There are lots of kangaroos and Wallabies about as well.
Great walk plenty of kangaroos
A few koala's but you have yo look for them
No public toilets

Barolin Point is a place you can snorkell or dive around to view the coral and marine life.
Amenities availble also.
Pretty place to site and smell the sea air while viewing to the north or south of the piont. Nice walk also along the front. Plenty of parking available. A tranquil place of paradise. 😍

Nice little 2 km walk for doggie on the lead right beside the Swan River another area nearby for off lead dogs to play and a sandy area where they can go in the river. Sometimes there is a food and coffee truck in the carpark of the rowing club with public toilet s and dog fountain s for your fur babies!

Such a lovely spot that has been rejuvenated and is excellent for a walk on a nice day. Keep your eyes open for the local fauna, bird life is plentiful here and I'm sure there are other types of animals here too.

Point Henry Wetlands is a bit of a misnomer. There isnt any 'wetland' so to speak, more like overgrown grasses and the like. There is a muddy patch closer to the foreshore.
As I walked through and around it, I found two beehives and very little bird life. Three derelict bird hides are located within the wetlands, with no birds to view 😐

The random tracks through the wetlands are overgrown, but there is a gravel road which is parallel to the Alcoa Smelter. You can walk alongside the area if you want to avoid prickly flora and an awkward walk through it. It seems to be a dog walking area more than anything.

I have my morning walk here. It's interesting to have the big round sun on the top of the sky but frost and greens on the ground. The area is not that big but a short walk is fresh and enjoyable.
Beautiful area for a peaceful walk through nature, and to see some Waterbirds including black swans.

Went for a walk along the esplanade. There was seating, fantastic views, saw 2 grey nurse sharks and a turtle. Big snorkeling area. Looked very inviting.
Sept. 2022, foggy morning revealing the many moods of Barolin Point. New Years Eve 2022. Last day of 2022, so walked at one of our favourite spots. Another mood today, a bit wild and windy but the rock pools were sheltered. August '23, crisp winter morning, low tide, sadly no whales on the horizon today. Always special this place!

Hope you enjoy the drone shots of the area.Great place to visit.
A fantastic park in Winthrop, with a great sensory play area for kids, long cycling and walk pathways, fantastic nature trails, dog exercise areas, BBQ and picnic options, beautiful water features, and lots more!
Beautiful place to walk and cycle around. The park is very large and you can admire kangaroos and koalas in freedom. You cannot miss the chance to see these animals in a natural environment. In many places there is watertight, especially after the rains. I recommend bringing a mosquito repellent.
Great hidden MTB location in Brisbane, great tracks, and scenery. Great for long rides. Wouldn't recommend for riders that have little experience.

Super place for a walk .. Great for riding .. short medium or long make it up as you go along.. beautiful
We really enjoyed snorkling here. On the southern part there is a drop in the sea bottom and a shark (2-2.5 m long) passed by about 6 m below my husband. Corals and fish are beautiful.
This Reserve is hidden away and is situated behind the old Maylands Brickworks. You can enter either by parking at the Maylands golf club car park or there is a very small car park off Peninsula Road opposite Wall Street. The reserve is mainly Bushland with parts of it being grassed and includes park benches and a beautiful Lake with a fountain in the middle. It runs alongside Lake Bungana. A beautiful spot for a picnic or sit and relax away from any noise or just to walk your dog. This is a real hidden gem

I wasn't able to do down the the length of the wetlands but managed to get on the walkway close to the water. There was a path that is well maintained for walking on. The boardwalk was nice to walk over with water below your feet. It was fairly quite and peaceful wqhen I went.
A fantastic series of tracks through a variety of different terrains from grass tree eucalypt to melaleuca forest and fern wetlands. Other tracks are quite narrow and care needs to be taken to avoid mountain bikers if you are walking. There are a number of entry points to the Conservation Park. There are a large number of tracks and turns and it would be advised to have a good understanding of the tracks before you go.

Beautiful wetlands with QR reader codes on benches along the way so you can learn more about the walk. We saw some duckings being fed by their mumma ducks which was so cute! Lots of lovely birds to be heard in the background.
I Attended the Bayview Blast 2018 Saturday race and I loved it. Some really nice trails for all styles of riding and all levels of riding. If downhill is your thing, I would recommend doing some blue trails. Flowy singletracks to long, cross country tracks, you can do anything here at Bayview !!

Place to walk
A conservation area very close to Surfers paradise. Kangaroos are all over the place and you can have very close and safe encounters with the animals.
There are walking tracks as well where you can spot Koala`s if you are lucky.
Great fun for the whole family.
The gates open and close automatically so watch out. 6AM to 6 PM.
Have fun :)
