Dickson Asian Noodle House is a northside institution and has been a go-to for decades but unfortunately its rusted-on customer base are having their faithful patronage rewarded by being fleeced and served some very low-quality and indifferent food. Tonight I ordered a beef, vegetable, oyster sauce and ginger dish that arrived at the table within seconds of ordering and had to be sent back to be heated properly. Although it was returned at an acceptable temperature there was no discernible flavour and the beef scraps were dry and quite tough. My partner’s beef sate skewers were similarly dry and tough, our spring rolls were tasteless and the steamed rice had all the allure of wallpaper paste. Would not recommend and will not return.
An absolute shambles. Parts of our order sat on the counter for 20 minutes+ and I suspect made at least one trip to the microwave to warm it up again.
The kitchen was chaotic and service disorganised. We ended up just getting a refund and leaving.... not interested in eating reheated food.

If all the food was produced fresh and hot with a 30 minute wait that would have be fine. But that wasn't what happened... the food was cooked in dribs and drabs and then left sitting around, then shoved in the microwave. That's gross...and unacceptable.

Small and very busy shop. The green curry was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten, it had no flavour and tasted undercooked. Almost like boiled chicken in water and had a chemical smell I had to throw it out. Veggies were also barely cooked. The chilli rice on the other hand was delicious!
We brought our guests here after raving about it on Uber, and they loved it just as much as we did. The atmosphere inside is really pleasant, and if you’re not familiar with Indian cuisine, it’s a fantastic introduction. The staff are attentive and courteous, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Good food and great service. Reasonable prices for dishes. Plenty of choices.
The take-away we had this week was amazing! All dishes were generous and full of protein and vegetables (not just carrot & onion).

Very nice food which makes a visit here a winner. Service though looked stretched and we didn't get all our ordered meal. I didn't say anything as I could see they were under the pump.
A few staffing improvements/increases and a bit more effort re- ambiance, and this would help encourage more return customers. But the food is the star here. Authentic and delicious!

We first visited Dickson Asian Noodle House about 14 years ago and remembered the Laksa to be very fragrant and tasty. This certainly doesn’t appear to have changed. Fast forward to 2024, the laksa still tastes great. The Hainan Chicken Rice was good but it certainly didn’t taste like Hainan Chicken.
I ordered a two piece family meal here tonight for dinner and it was delicious! Great service, new premise that was very bright and clean and fair pricing. Extremely satisfied. Highly recommended!
Always love popping over here for a quick dinner. Service has gone down a bit lately but we are very supportive of the owners so always ba k here. Food was always good so no dramas there.

You have the most amazing food but are NEVER open your buisness is the most unreliable buiness I’ve ever encountered, you constantly have open status when searched up but when then called goes straight to voicemail and can’t order on line either, if you are going to be shut let us know you actually are!, the amount of times I’ve tried to order after it saying your open to then be disappointed over and over again. I love your food it’s literally great but you are the worst with reliability. Do better
Took the family for a lovely dinner, the food was really yummy. Quite an authentic place, they even have the sticky rice desserts you find in Thailand.
We usually order from doordash. Lastest order we had was the combination noodles and Cantonese prawns. We were so dissapointed. They were all noodles! I got 4 prawns and two pieces of broccoli. Hubby's meat was so dry and he got 1 prawn. This has happened a few times. We won't be ordering from here again. We feel ripped off.
Just wish I could give a NEGATIVE rating for the most disgusting experience we had last night with their food ordered online. Previously ordered couple of times and it wasn’t bad so I ordered again last night as our usual was closed. The chicken dish was too stale and chicken looked and tasted at least a week old. It wasn’t even appropriate to consume so had to bin it. It was rubbery and very hard. How can you serve this low standard of food Raj on Taj?? Won’t ever order from you. Please ppl don’t waste your money on the stale food they send you through online deliveries.

An unusual five star experience: I was returning home from the supermarket on my bike, with paper bags filled with groceries on my handlebars (hey, that's just what I do ...) when one bag broke. Groceries all over the road. A man from this restaurant saw, then came out with a plastic bag for me, to help get all my stuff home. What a nice guy! Thankyou.

Located in a small set of shops off a main road is this great little find. With a quaint shop front, you move inside to a nicely decorated Thailand themed restaurant. The shop is long and a little narrow but they use the space well and cleanliness is held in high regard. Well done!

Was excellent, we were offered a drink on arrival, plus water and glasses were prepared on the table.
We were given about 5-10 minutes to chat and enjoy our drinks, then ordered entrees and mains. Entrees were provided in 8 minutes and mains 10 mins after that. Exceptional!
We were asked after our meal, offered dessert and the table was bussed within 2 minutes of each of us finishing.
Everything was presented with a smile and the staff were so nice and friendly. Well done!

Entrees: as expected the curry puffs were light and fluffy and the spring rolls crispy and hot.
Massaman - haven’t tried this with duck before but I can tell you it was delicious, the duck was so tender, the vegetables were cooked (with that yummy soft crunch) and the sauce was so rich and flavourful you wanted to drown the rice in it.
Penang - as above, the beef was cooked perfectly, the mixture of veggies (perfectly cooked) added to the mix of spices and sauce. Very more’ish.

Nice Indian restaurant with nice flavours and a nice spot. Service is always good.
This place has loads of noodle choices to explore. I've been here many times, and the staff are always super friendly. It gets busy, but if you love Asian noodles, you've got to check it out.
Second time ordering from noodle box. First time was good. Second time I’m afraid it was very different. Fried rice not as good and our nasigoren was very poor. The nasi did not resemble nasi at all and was extremely sweet. These dishes are not for us.
Ordered some takeaway dinner, and the person who took my order was polite and attentive. Upon pick up, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The food portions were generous and very delicious dishes. We can't wait to dine in one day.
We have recently moved to the area, 1st time we tried pork dumplings, and 2 different noodles everything was delicious and so fresh. Highly recommend give this place a go, we did and definitely go back again.
Returned to Raj on Taj after a 10 year absence, and the restaurant continues to serve delightful dishes. From entree to mains, the dishes are colourful, well plated and memorably tasty. Favourites such as Beef Korma and Butter Chicken did not disappoint at all; the protein were tender and the sauces delicately balanced. The team were cheerful, while the decor was Indo rustic. We'll be back. Definitely in my Top 3 of Indian cuisine in Adelaide 👌🏾
Living in the area and thought we would check it out for a Sunday lunch. The place was so full. Parking at the back and on the streets were all taken. We had to park across the road.
We ordered CKT, Chicken Laksa and Dry Spicy Pan Mee. The food was delicious and the serving portion was generous. However, they were not as authentic as other places. The chicken laksa broth was too thick and had too much coconut milk in it. It also could be spicier. The CKT was a tad too salty and the hor fun was too wide. It looked more like fried beef hor fun type noodles. The spicy pan mee was the most authentic but it was a tad too oily and spicy.
We might check out their main course dishes next time.

This place is under new management, and has had a revamp. I found the service to be very friendly. The food was delicious, and was delivered fairly quickly. I've been back twice now, and intend to go regularly.
I had a delightful experience at the restaurant. The ambiance was inviting, and the service was excellent. Although the portion of pad see ew was slightly smaller than what I've had at other Thai restaurants, the taste more than made up for it.

I ordered Pad Thai with the mixed entree and prawn crackers which were all delicious. I give the Pad Thai a 5/5.

Came for the laksa. Whilst I enjoyed it, it was a more western version than I prefer, too sweet and creamy, with the protein elements relatively tasteless

Hands down the best Thai food in the south east!! If you have been to Thailand you would know the tastes of their food, this is the closet you can find that taste like authentic Thai.

I have only ordered takeaway from the restaurant & collected it myself (6 separate items prepared & ready for collection in 20 min) or had it delivered via delivery app's. On each occasion the portion sizes are generous & I love the great mix of fresh vegetables & proteins - which any Australian restaurant should be able to provide. On this occasion my red prawn curry has 6 jumbo size prawns & potato, sweet potato, capsicum, carrots & beans (see photo) and the flavours are exactly what you would expect from a Thai restaurant - fabulous! Thanks very much to your staff, from the person who takes the telephone order, to the chefs & front of house servers. You all do, what you do, very well 😋
We came to have our lunch for the first time. We ordered grilled beef vermicelli and grilled pork vermicelli.
The food came, the beef and pork were not grilled but deep fried. The food is more like fusion compared to authentic Vietnamese food, overall the taste is acceptable.
It was quite crowded on weekends but the wait is not long. The good thing is we got free tea and not tap water. Service is good though the food is not what we expected.

PHO-get about hunting down a Springvale restaurant with outdoor seating, Bun Bo Hue Chu Le is CHU-LE PHO-fils everything you could possibly want in a Vietnamese joint 🤤

Can't fault the service or the food as we ordered online, and it was ready for pickup as per the agreed time. Greeted with a smile at the door. The biggest disappointment was the size of the spring rolls and curry puffs. Definitely avoid ordering, certainly a rip-off, and of poor quality, given the price charged.
Thankfully, the mains were winners and made up for the miniature servings of the spring rolls and curry puffs. Definitely would recommend this restaurant and next time will try eating in.

Lovely hot fresh food. Great noodles and rice. Fast service. Limited fine in seating. We got the largest sizes in the combination noodles box and combination fried rice. We paid 50c each person for bowls. Had lots of food plus extra food to take home. Great serving sizes. Absolutely delicious.
The best Thai restaurant within the area! Taste and menu is so authentic, love the Boat Noodles! As the restaurant suggests, their meals come with Riceberry but it would be good to have steamed white rice in the menu too. Been here quite a few times and will definitely be back and recommend to others.

We where referred here by 3 friends who live in Adelaide. They all said: good, solid, consistant with great food. True words! I took the butter chicken, my daughter the lamb Korma. Between us we shared a bowl of saffron rice and a serving of butter garlic naan bread. The food was delicious and the servings where generous. So generous that we couldnt finish them. Friendly staff, great vibe. For the quality and serving sizes, well prized. From what we heard later, this is the go to place in Adelaide for Indian food. A menu with lots to choose from.
Fish head vermicelli noodles were the worst I’ve ever had! The fish pieces were all over fried and inedible. The soup was also bland. Advised the staff of this and their only response was that all the fish was like this according to the chef. Didn’t offer a remake or refund. Appalling standards and customer service - don’t bother coming here.
Went there on the night there is two empty tables next to the window which my daughter wants to sit next to the window(there are only two group of customers in the restaurant), but the waitress said it all reserved( which is all empty during my stay in the restaurant about 40mins) ordered “famous” fish head noodle soup, it was shocked, it’s so greasy, it looks like they put some boiling oil on top of it before they bring out, I even want to vomit after having that, strongly not recommended this place

Went there for lunch n was greeted very warmly by the manager of the outlet. She was friendly and helpful.

Had a really nice meal here with my wife last week. 7pm walked in without needing to book. Had green beef curry which was tasty and colourful, soft shell crab which was really nice and a pad thai noodle which was also great and a roti and rice, all for $68. Great local Thai restaurant.

All the meals came with plenty of vegetables and meat of your choice. Being a ceoliac the staff were extremely helpful in making sure I was taken care of and there was plenty of meals to choose from.

Amazing restaurant with very friendly staff, a huge range of food, and a short waiting time. It’s very clean and has a great atmosphere. We ate the spicy beef combination noodle soup and wonton noodle soup, which were both very good.

Food was disgusting, order Chinese hot and spicy but got very dry and bland noodles with no flavour at all. Also got Chinese honey soy noodles meant to be thick noodle got thin and also very dry and bland mush. Very disappointed for the price you pay.

Delicious food, especially its original Fish Head Noodle soup, is the best in town! You can't go wrong with it!

Ordered from Uber eats. Delivery was on time but food was below average. Rice was really gluggy, lemon chicken sauce was runny like water, entree bbq pork was only 4 small slices. Rest of it was ok but all in all below average Chinese.

We chose this place over another Thai place in geelong from the review ratings and boy did we regret that. This is one of the worst Thai food my partner and I have ever had. We had hope as as we walked in the place was packed. We regularly eat Thai cuisine as my partner loves it but he was ready to get up and leave after 1 bite of the food. We knew it was a red flag when they also said they don’t have Thai milk tea??? We ordered the chicken Tom yum soup, lamb sweet and sour curry, coconut rice and beef pad Thai. Almost every dish was absolutely disappointing besides the coconut rice but that’s rice.
The curry literally came with 6 pieces of cheap frozen lamb and half a tin of canned pineapples. The soup had 2 pieces of dry chicken breast and did not taste anything like Tom yum.
Here’s the WORST part - the beef pad Thai. My partner immediately noticed a distinct off smell coming from the dish and he has cooked pad Thai at home and knew it was not the sauce. The entire plate had the smell of off meat. I told one of the waiters who took it back in the kitchen and came back out saying “the chef said it’s the beef do you want to change to chicken” where I asked for the entire plate to be taken off the bill. I cannot even put into words the smell that came off that dish. I’m extremely disappointed in this place and don’t want to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was cause they were busy but if every dish comes out like that it’s the business itself.
We chose this place over another Thai place in geelong from the review ratings and boy did we regret that. This is one of the worst Thai food my partner and I have ever had. We had hope as as we walked in the place was packed. We regularly eat Thai cuisine as my partner loves it but he was ready to get up and leave after 1 bite of the food. We knew it was a red flag when they also said they don’t have Thai milk tea??? We ordered the chicken Tom yum soup, lamb sweet and sour curry, coconut rice and beef pad Thai. Almost every dish was absolutely disappointing besides the coconut rice but that’s rice.
The curry literally came with 6 pieces of cheap frozen lamb and half a tin of canned pineapples. The soup had 2 pieces of dry chicken breast and did not taste anything like Tom yum.

Good place for dinner! I like the atmosphere and the service. I tried the butter chicken and it was really tasty, pea pilau was amazing with full of flavours and they have many vegetarian options. I would like to come back and try a different dish. Price around $25-$40 pp depends on what do you want to drink.
We had their signature BBH and Bun with spring roll/grilled meat. Both Buns were reasonably priced, delicious, nicely portioned with ample accompanying fresh vegetables which balanced our meals nicely. We also very much enjoyed the friendly service in an inviting, calm, clean, spacious and comfortable environment, for one to relax and unwind.
We were a bit craving Asian food in Geelong, which is weird, haha. But we found this delicious Thai restaurant. The space was excellent, and the employee was very lovely. The portion was huge, and we over order it as usual, but lucky that we finished it all 😂

Service was excellent! Felt like I was back in Thailand. The food was amazing. My favourite was the curry puffs. The owner was so lovely.

This place is very clean and a lot less manic compared to others in the area. Courteous staff too. A much more positive and comfortable dining to be had and their pho is very good too. The noodles were nicely cooked whilst retaining a good bite to it; flavoursome broth served with an ambundance of bean sprouts. Will return

Went for the signature bun bo hue noodles and it did not disappoint. Really nice decor and setup here; spacious, clean and comfortable seating with the padded benches.
The bun bo hue had plenty of various meats; quite surprised to see rare beef in it which isn’t the norm, but most welcomed. Came out in about 7 minutes once I ordered, so really good if you on a quick lunch.

Decent selection of meats and side dishes for all you can eat yakiniku - with a seating time limit.
Some of the wagyu cuts are really tasty, the selection of sushi and sashimi is okay. Other small dishes like the lotus chips are pretty nice!

We went to this restaurant on a Monday night for dinner and was surprised that it was so busy. We ordered the 'king vegetable', which was tasty. The claypot ginger chicken didn't have any ginger taste. The dish had curry was OK. The tofu egg dish was a bit confusing as it looked like a cold dish, but it was not. Noticed a lot of people ordering the curry fish head curry noodle, and the fish head noodles soup. Recommended to make a booking for meals. Plenty of parking in the rear of the restaurant.

Visiting the area for the day and it was worth the hour long drive. The creamy garlic tofu rice was AMAZING. The tofu was cooked to perfection (crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside), and all other dishes did not disappoint (crispy cauliflower, curry vegetables & tofu, and mushroom with veggies).
Reasonable prices, busy atmosphere due to how delicious the food was, and friendly, helpful staff.
We’ll be sure to remember this restaurant next time we’re in town.

outstanding BBQ dining experience, we ordered the Premium set, was it worth it yes but be aware of the following
- Meat and seafood is semi-defrosted, meat will take time to cook through but tha'ts no problem with flat grill surface
- Order everything anything sooner than later, ie when your 50% remaining on the table of ingredients order ahead especially when restaurant is busy or you will wait
- sauce station get your salt/pepper/chilli spice to season your meat while cooking
- Yuzu sorbet more, more, more perfect ending to the meal
- SUPER FRIENDLY attentive service!

Got the prawn and salmon sushi for $3.50 each, price is very reasonable but the rice and seaweed could be more fresh and less soggy. The meats were not bad though
Had laksa tonight and their fried rice. Great for when you don’t feel like cooking. Laksa very flavourful with the broth, yellow hokkien noodles were dull and only a small amount. The rice was delicious. I remember as a kid the same flavour of laksa 20+ years

We had dinner there, eat in (June). We arrived just after 5pm, the place was pretty cold, they did turn on the heating very soon.
Other than that, I love the decor and atmosphere.
We ordered chicken penang curry and chicken pad Thai.
Both dishes had great flavor.

The veg curry puffs are also great!

Visited the restaurant as we stayed overnight in Canberra. Had the combination laksa and the portion was huge with lots of ingredients (Roasted duck, char siew, chicken, bean sprouts, chye sim and tau fu puff). Also had the special fried rice that came with 3 big prawns. Price was reasonable given the portion. Laksa was fantastic just a bit salty for my taste bud. Owner was kind to let us have a four seater table near the window so that we can monitor our little buddy doggy (while he was outside the restaurant waiting patiently for us to take our dinner)

The meat arrived frozen which is a sign of poor quality. The size of plates have shrunk. One serving of mushrooms is 3 quartered slices of one small button mushroom - not even a full mushroom.
We did not get our 90min and were rushed out. We arrived at 5:40pm, by 6:30pm we saw it was the last order and at 6:55pm the staff said we had 3 mins left because they had others waiting. This means we only had 80 min to eat but paid for the full 90 min buffet. Short by 10 min. I remember there use to be a timer showing your seating and how much time you have left. This feature has been removed. Removing transparency is a sign of dishonesty. Also our dessert came 5min before we were due to leave based on their time and having our plates cleared and tables moved to make room for the new guest as soon as we put our plate down is unwelcoming and ensures no return.
When asked if our dinner was ok, the lady at the register was dismissive and argumentative when told her were short changed by 10min. Her response was “but we told you”, and argued that because she told us we only had a few minutes left and there were other waiting left, it was ok to shorten our 90min buffet time to 80min. This is unacceptable in principle - should they want to seat someone else, then would it be ok to shorten a current guests time by 15-20min? No - so why is 10 mins ok? If guest can only get their full 90min by arriving every half hour then don’t seat us.
A note to management - When receiving constructive feedback, a simple acknowledgment for example, “we’re sorry, I hope you’d come again” would suffice.
Overall this yakiniku is below average. I don’t recommend it. Save your money and go somewhere else. Ending dinner with an argument at the till for giving honest feedback is not how you want to end your night.

Only tried a few of the dishes here but they're all been good! The fried noodle dishes are great as are the fried rices. The meat varieties really help with this too.
Best Thai restaurant in Brisbane easily! The first truly actual genuine Thai food I’ve had in Australia. Extremely nice people as well that run it. Very hospitable! Super delicious and will come again regularly!
Good Japanese BBQ buffet!! They have different prices according to how many kinds of things you can choose. 60 kinds, 80 kinds and 100 kinds. We picked 60 kinds, which is $58 per adult. I love their meat and mushrooms. Also some Japanese snacks and dishes are pretty good. But you need to order more one time, or you need to wait for a long time to get your order. And you have nothing to eat when you guys re waiting. So try to order more on the first time. Services here is preset good, they are nice and friendly. Overall, it’s a good place to spend your time with friends or families. Recommend!
Restaurant set off the Main Street (King WIlliam Road). Monday night for dinner. Staff were warm and friendly and happy to answer any questions.
Serving sizes look small but are very filling. Enjoyed all of our meals. Plenty of flavour and spice if you want it. No children’s menu which is a little annoying but the waiter was happy to give a couple of suggestions to use. This is the second time I have being to this restaurant now and I’m pretty sure there will be a third some time in the future.

Dined here for the first time. We ordered Massaman Curry and Pad See Ew with Prawns. It was delicious! The meat was so tender and delicious. Staff were very friendly as well. 👍
Awesome dinner! Everything is tasty, the sauce of entrée is great! Soup is small but has a big variety of ingredients. Feels very healthy! Grilled pork is very nice too! Curry is not too spicy, but very rich flavour. Banana fritter has a hint of cinnamon. Love their milk tea! Wish they do in jugs, I will finish it all by myself 🤣
I have spent $150 today for dinner. I went with my family 2 kids and 2 of us. We had lot of food and we asked for 6 containers to take left overs . I couldn't believe that they advised me that I need to pay 30cents for take away containers. I am going there for last 5 years and I will never recommend this place and they lost a customer because they want to charge 60 cents for 2 take away containers. Very stingy owners . Now I have doubt about the food as well.

The food was delicious. Our favourite are their pork dumpling, chicken satay and fried rice. The portion is generous and presentation is lovely. The staff working there are very friendly as well. Will definitely come back for more.

I was extremely sick after ordering pork dumpling last night. Hadn't eaten anything all day so 10 Dumplings sounded awesome. Could not bring myself to ever order from here again after the night I've just had.
As someone who has eaten a lot of great Thai food, White Jasmine was okay to say the least. Their Thai dishes were not authentic and cheaper ingredients were used in replacement of more traditional ingredients. However, the portion was decent and staff were very friendly and compensated accordingly when a mistake was made on their part. Restaurant decor was also nice, though I probably wouldn’t come here again when I’m craving for good Thai cuisine.
Just been to this place twice just recently while on holidays and im so impressed with the value. We had veggie dumplings, Agadeshi tofu, avocado sushi, spring rolls & soup and it was all great and very affordable. The service was good, food was fast and the menu has heaps of options including vegan and veggie options. Great little Asian place.
It was fresh hot and delicious. We made an honest mistake and without hesitation they fixed it however they were in the right not us. They are incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back and again thank you for such warm hospitality.
We had a lovely meal at Satay Joe's today. The service was excellent and the chefs cooked wonderful Chinese dumplings and some special food requested that was not on the menu! Malaysian food excellent too.

Tried Dumpling Delish last night and was not disappointed at all. I ordered the Kunmin Chicken dish (which I highly recommend) — the marinade and flavours were just amazing! In addition to this, I got a mix of fried pork and chicken dumplings which were just as good! The bonus was I didn't get up at 2am panting for water (as most places use MSG). Highly recommend this place! 👌👌👌
