Order a small size fried rice with honey chicken I got charged $18, I won’t lie it was delicious but that price was ridiculous especially for a size small, Shabu Shabu had the same and was $11 and was a lot better.
definitely one if my new favourite places in melbourne. the vegan set menu was divine & all the staff were so knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive to our table even though it was a full house! will be back absolutely
My wife has food poisoning from here now. Disgusting chewy nuggets of chickenesque meat that have been in the warmer seemingly for a week. You gamble with your health buying food here. Hopefully they can be shut down soon.

The food here was delicious, but the overall experience was ruined by the ridiculously loud music. My Apple Watch was sending me noise alert warnings for dangerous noise levels. That means more than 90dec. We were a group of 10 and had the Chef Banquet, food was tasty, but you couldn’t have a conversation with anyone other than the person next to you. Won’t go back for that reason.

Inventive Asian food with a strong Thai slant. Interesting blend of Asian tastes with western cooking techniques. Would recommend the King Fish and Twice Cooked Short Rib. The crab omelette was of good standard although the introduction of a salad made it interesting.

Service was attentive and not intrusive. Energetic vibe that allows for conversation and a casual date.
Had the fried rice with schezuan chicken. The food tasted pretty standard. However, the portion size was not satisfactory. For $16, they should have given more.
Had a lovely first time experience here for my best friend’s birthday!
Upon arrival they seated us promptly and took our coats, they had a large selection of drinks as they have an extensive bar range and we even got recommended some of their best selling cocktails.
We had the 7 plate course which costed us $78 pp, each dish was flavourful and unique with their asian fusion flavours (personal favourite being the stuffed eggplant) and was more than enough to feed the both of us.
The atmosphere was lively and it contained this open kitchen setting with ambient lighting, I thoroughly enjoyed the music as it keeps a bustling environment.
Customer service was impeccable - especially from the man with head tattoos! Always checking in on us and ensuring we were having a great time.
Would highly recommend this restaurant!

We wanted to check out this place, judging off reviews and social media, seemed like a great asian fusion place. The food was good, nothing amazing apart from the Kingfish Sashimi and the Pad See Ew. Before dining, I read some reviews complaining about how loud the restaurant gets, the reviews weren’t lying. The music was so loud, which made other patrons speak even louder, not allowing me to hear any of my friends despite sitting right next to each other. For the price of the food (we wanted to spoil ourselves with a nice banquet), I don’t think it’s worth. The service was amazing though, just a shame that the loud dining room, mid-tier food (for so expensive) ruined the dining experience. I do hope the restaurant does start to read the customers reviews about the loud background music and reduce it a little.

Two of our friends recommend this restaurant (one from the US and one who lives here in Melbourne). We are visiting Melbourne for the first time so couldn’t pass it up. It was great. We stopped by for lunch.

We had three “little something’s” and one of the stir fry, rice and noodles . I took pictures but only after we ate half of each of the three entrees. We were starving so my apologies for the bad photos. They were all great (corn fritters , tuna and king fisher). The corn fritters were our favorite.

The pad Thai was very good but was too much for us with the other three dishes for lunch. We think we that four of the little something’s would have been enough. We are not big people… to provide some context .

We highly recommend this restaurant if you like Asian food .

Over from Sydney during the easter break with our Ridgie Didge and popped in for dinner as it's dog friendly. Bonus!

We had the fixed menu which gave us a selection of dishes to try. The service was quick and all the dishes were very tasty.

The service from Ruby and the other staff was excellent from the moment we arrived until it was time to head back to our hotel. Thanks for looking after us Ruby! Staff can make or break a business and you have a real gem (pun intended) there.

Thank you.

We got the five-plate menu. For the price we paid, there was very, very little food. The amount of food that came out was what you'd expect for one person. The flavour of the kingfish sashimi was fantastic. The papaya salad was also good. But the rest was very average. The waitress was very nice and helpful.

Their soft shell crab garlic WAS LIFE CHANGING😍😍😍 I literally tried lots of Thai food in lots of places and countries but this is just groundbreaking-ly good. Forgot to take a pic when it first came so this was my last bite HAHA hope u can still get a glimpse of it
Everything tastes authentic and delicious. I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and end up going four times in two weeks. Staff is super nice too! Thanks for gifting me the ice cream I forgot to say good bye🫶🏼 Just ask for recommendation if you didn’t know what to order.

We, as a group of 6, dined here on Friday night and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was welcoming and the service was outstanding!

We ordered the sharing banquet, which was beautifully presented, tasted fresh and delicious. The variety was impressive, and each dish was flavoursome and well presented.

The service by Macy was outstanding, she was attentive and friendly. She ensured our drinks were always full and the table cleared between courses.

Along with all other staff, they added to the overall dining experience. Their hospitality didnt go unnoticed and they truly contributed to making the overall dining experience a delight.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Nagisa and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of Japanese cuisine. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thankyou 😊
Sizzling steak and fry rice are nice.My local Chinese food. Staffs r friendly.

We have been dining here for years as a group, since they opened. Tonight was so bad we will not return. The waitress had difficulty dealing with the menu, however we overcame that with giving her assistance. She needs glasses poor woman and chef our of control..The food was simply terrible. Dim Sum was cold and totally collapsed. We sent it back and received an identical dish 8 minutes later ; think they just recycled!
My companion complained, in a very gentile manner to the long term employee who often cooks (not tonight unfortunately) and he was just disinterested. The remainder of our dishes were very ordinary. Masamman curry overcooked and had to hunt for the noodles with Pad See Ew which are cheap. Will not return

A delicious meal at Lazy Su.
We had the Jalapeño Noodle Popper, Wagyu Cheesesteak Springroll, Don Buri Tacos, Salmon & Kingfish Sashimi, Char Siu Pork Bao, Chinese Broccoli and Japanese Roast Chicken and ALL were delicious. Our drinks - The Matcha Colada and Mandarin Margherita were also very good.

Quality service with helpful staff, my favourite table water service (leaving a jug on the table) and a great ambience made the experience enjoyable.

I'd definitely recommend Lazy Su for a dinner out.
Great Japanese restaurant near the hotel I stayed at. Lots of options, even take away specials. I ordered tempura prawn sushi and teriyaki fish bento box. Portion was great for the price.
Ordered Honey chicken, Mongolian beef and special fried rice, the beef was tough, the chicken was dry and over cooked and the rice was hardly fried rice very poor.
Overall very poor meal.
Visited here last weekend when on a city break to Melbourne. The food was amazing, we shared a few dishes and enjoyed all of them so much. The duck was amazing, so tender. Will be recommending to anyone visiting Melbourne.
The staff were really helpful and explained the menu. It had a lovely atmosphere and beautiful interiors.

Ordered dry style beef brisket with egg noodles and extra gravy. And 1/4 duck. Always come here for this order 👌 when you check this place out, order this. Secret menu 😉
@thailiciousmelbourne 📍 This casual Thai restaurant has been open for over 10 years- but it was my first time visiting 🤯 servings are generous, flavours authentic, prices are so reasonable- surprised there aren’t more people talking about this gem- but it is a bit out of the way tho! 🇹🇭🌟💯

Literally all dishes were delicious! We enjoyed the Thai hot pot for $35- the broth was amazing we drank all the soup! 🍲 Came with generous amounts of veggies and pork belly. Super delish. The Red Curry duck, Pad Thai, Som Tum, Tom Yum fried rice were all amazing too! The black sticky rice with coconut ice cream was also divine. 💯💯💯 will be returning for sure!

giving all the flavours you'd expect! = Even the portions were huge!
definitely worth the visit
We recommend the Thai style hotpot, the meat was marinated so well and broth was just amazing. The veggies was so tasty and so fresh with the broth
📍@thailiciousmelbourne, Melbourne CBD

We visited this OG Thai spot called Thailicious in the CBD for the first time to have dinner the other day 😍

Loved their food with our favourites being the glass noodle seafood salad and pad Thai noodle, also loved the Thai milk tea and patongo for dessert 🤗

This restaurant was one of the first Thai restaurants in the CBD and it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for some authentic and affordable Thai food in the city 🤓

What we ordered:
🍤 Prawn Spring Roll $12.9
🐟 Glass Noodle Seafood Salad $22.9
🥗 Som Tum Thai Kai Kem $18.9
🍜 Pad Thai Noodle $19.9
🍚 Tom Yum Fried Rice $16.9
🍩 Patongo $8.9
🍮 Black Sticky Rice Pudding Ice Cream $8.9
🧋 Thai Milk Tea $5.5
🍋 Ice Lemon Tea $5.5
First time trying this local Chinese restaurant. I found a stone/rock in my chicken dish - I almost chipped my tooth biting into it! The prawn chips were super stale and the dishes lacked flavour. I won’t be back.
The food used to be really good but the last 2 meals I've had from here have been average or below. Chicken and sweet corn soup and braised dishes both have the consistency of slime and no flavour at all.
Disappointing as we have been regular customers for years

Lovely food. service was amazing, special attention to dietary requirements was nice to see. vibes were energetic and fun. music was a touch too loud and the tables were too close together, prefer a bit more space. the food fit the price as it was excellent but also expensive. the cocktail one of us got was too sweet despite the menu not saying it was sweet. and the toilets were a mess.
Great atmosphere, tasty beef!

Amazing place. I loved the ambience - the waving 👋 cats , disco ball and posters on the walls.
The food was excellent - the dishes are mouthwatering and the taste is very good. Mu favourite was seafood 🦞 stir-fry and Gyoza 🥟. Highly recommend to try them.
Very good service.
They are popular, so booking is essential.
Parking is in the street - can be not so easy to find a spot right next to them. Allow yourself sometime to drive around.
Very good cocktails and good selection of beers on tap.
My girlfriend’s family have been going to this place for 20+ year. Had my first experience today and it was amazing. Great food and friendly staff.

First I’ll start by saying the service was stellar. Very attentive wait staff and well informed. The food was really good my only feedback would be to keep dessert as two separate servings rather than the one to share for the banquets. Not every banquet meal for two is a romantic one. And lastly although the atmosphere was very upbeat, the tables were too close to each other and the music a tad loud which made it a challenge to hear your dinner guest from across the table.

This is a place that a lot of people recommend and this was my first time there!

I was actually amazed by most of the dishes, the cocktails were amazing! A lot of Asian fusion and great dishes to choose from.

But there were a few dishes that didn't meet the quota in my opinion. The Pad Thai could have had more flavour. I would still recommend this place to anyone 🫶🏼

Just visiting Newcastle for work and I happened to walk past this restaurant while thinking of what to get for dinner. A young family were eating outside and their food looked so good I stopped and ordered pad see ew take-away for dinner tonight. I’m eating it as I write this review, and it is so yum! It’s one of my favourite dishes that I always get and they are usually delicious no matter where I buy it from. This one however has so much flavour and it has such a great ratio of meat, noodle and veg (I got beef). Will definitely order it again when I come back to Newy. The only thing I would change would be to add a slice of lemon that I could squeeze over it but that would only add to it. Not having it doesn’t take anything away from the food. Much appreciated!!!!
Great cheerful space, funky music in the background. The cauliflower dish was by far my favourite. Had the Let Lucy Choose 7 dishes. Was very filling. Overall, it was a very nice experience.
First time here after walking past it many times and hearing about this place that has been around forever! Monday night birthday dinner with the family on a warm summer night giving it a go at the all you can eat Wagyu Shabu Shabu. 90 mins later and we walked out completely stuffed and satisfied. Beef was excellent quality and you just need to keep going at it until the timer rings! Also BYO wine at $3.5 per person corkage is fabulous. Will definitely return after a period of vegetarianism😅
Great food, good pricing. Wish it was open more often! You do need to check if it's open around the holidays as they do take longer breaks than most. However still one of the best, fastest, authentic Japanese places around Spring Hill

Friend took us there , it was an unexpected surprise, it was very Thai. The green curry bibimbap is top-notch, the soft-shell crab is crispy and smothered in one bite and the stir-fried pork belly vegetable also great with rice , but the deep fried barramundi and egg fried rice are a bit average. The environment is good, the seats are quite spacious, and the service is always there when you ask for it. Because they are too busy , when we paid the bill, waited for a while .The most important thing in the end is that the price/performance ratio is unbeatable. Highly recommended.
The food in this restaurant is unfairly great! I ate more than I should have, and none of their food disappointed me! Also, great staff. Seats in front of the kitchen give you a very good insight on the great orchestra the chef runs! Will be back for more very soon.

This was my second visit and I was even more impressed with the great food and amazing service. Well done.

The place has a nice ambience for a nice romantic dinner.
The food is an amazing fusion of Asian and Western food.
Wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls comes with kimchi mayo!!
Char Siu pork with the buns tasted amazing. Soft and fluffy to make your own Asian "sandwiches".
A must try is the spicy prawn and bacin wontons. With the amazing soup, they taste amazing.

Been here around 30 times an will continue coming back for the prawn dumpling soup.

It's seriously seriously good I think if they had another restaurant in CBD would be lines out the door and serving 1000's.

We dined here for our anniversary and the staff members were all very lovely and accommodating. Didn’t get photos of all the food however their Beef Wagyu, bowl of Rice, the Pork Belly Kakuni, Pork Gyoza’s and the dessert -Banoffee Gyoza’s were all very delicious and fulfilling. It is just a bit expensive but for a special occasion it’s rather nice.
Fast service yummy food! We needed a late night spot to eat and Thailicious pulled through. We had red curry, pad Thai and roti with peanut sauce. They had good prices and value for money.
I had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Asian fusion restaurant, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile by the attentive waitstaff. Their professionalism and dedication to making my dining experience enjoyable was truly exceptional.

The true stars of the evening, however, were the chefs. Their culinary artistry was evident in every dish we ordered. The combination of Asian flavours with innovative twists was a delightful experience for our taste buds. The presentation of each dish was a work of art, and the flavours were a harmonious blend of diverse Asian cuisines.

Thank you for having us and will definitely have to come back :)
Our first time here & service was so quick. We loved our food! We had fried rice, pad Thai noodles, green curry and chives dumplings that was so yum. Spicy and delicious 🤤

Last minute decision to take the In-Laws to Japanese (for the first time!) for Sunday Lunch. Best place we could have visited by far! The food tasted amazing, was superbly presented, and the in-laws were suitably impressed. The service was quick from order to plate. The staff were attentive, friendly and happy to make suggestions. Fantastic drinks menu and the location by the harbour was perfect. Definitely one for the regular restaurants to visit list. The In-Laws are now definate converts to Japanese cuisine 😃

To negative reviews for customer service. How good service you expect from $15 meal? We just need to understand they have a fast pace style, so make you decision and payment quick, don’t waste their time to cook good foods for us
Omg I nearly died when she told me
The price for 3 dishes and 600ml coke.

Bring here for over 20 years same cooks , all fried noodles and soup noodles are good . I like them all , today I have fried seafood eggs noodle
First of all, regardless of service attitude. The food itself was very stale and perhaps unclean. I'm not sure if it's the beef or the eggs. My boyfriend and I have been having diarrhea ever since we came back from eating, even to the point of taking pills. We are very disappointed with this restaurant.

I thought the dining and food experience was almost reaching average.

Why would any restaurant with 7 tables hold tables for reservations whilst customers waiting to dine and disadvantaged.
The only table service you review is when you’re served your food whilst you’re paying a higher price to pay prior to eating your selected menu items.

I felt that the food we received was average with flavour, common dish presentations and a clean restaurant.

I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall positive vibe. The food was decent, although it was westernised-Thai which is understandable given the difficulty in finding certain ingredients. The prices were reasonable and appropriate for the quality of food.

However, I felt that the restaurant ambiance was a bit overwhelming with a menu that was a bit too saturated and descriptions that were not very relevant to the dishes. The restaurant's name suggests a focus on Northern-style cooking, but the menu seemed quite basic and not very representative of this cuisine. Despite this, I still enjoyed my meal and the service.

One suggestion I have is for the man behind the counter to improve his personality a bit.😉

Overall, it was a decent experience, and I would recommend this restaurant to others looking for a casual dining experience.
Chucked entire onion in it 😂 maybe should chop up and spread out? some dish is not bad, quite unique actually, price is 33% more expensive, but understandable as it’s in a prime location. Could make use of more variety of food, didn’t have any choice other than chicken and beef.

Thank you for the best Thai food in Newcastle! You guys rock! It's the small touches that make your dishes stand out above all; such as scallops in your mixed seafood, the inclusion of pepper berries, fresh chillies and fresh Thai basil ❤️
Looks nice with a lot of options of food. Had mix of sweet and sour chicken and honey chicken with egg fried rice and wasn’t too bad but could have been better.

Service was okish and price for that serving is overpriced for a food court.
The Sweet and Sour Chicken and Szechuan Chicken, both with rice ($12 in total) wasn't that good. I only bought them because it was night and they were giving out the food at lowered prices. Even then, the taste wasn't that great.

Felt like the food was average. The duck dish was pricey considering it was salty / not saucy enough. Rice was gluggy (maybe a bad day). Service too slow (30 mins for dish to come out). No table water offered. Cigarette smoke coming from outside entire time (aren't there laws where you're meant to be 4m away from the food?). Wouldn't come back

It was OK. The food was pretty nice, which keeps the rating as high as three. The service was slow and a little rude. We were waiting for a seat at the front and needed to flag someone down to even acknowledge that we were there. We also needed to flag them down so we could order. Lovely restaurant with great staff. Ordered the tasting banquet for 2 people.

The food was beautifully presented and tasty but unfortunately was a bit too salty. The salty dishes were - braised octopus, pickled items on the Wagyu striploin plate, heirloom carrots (most salty).

I also felt 2 hours was too long of a wait for the banquet. We got bored and impatient of waiting.

I saw diners beside us arrive later than us, ordered more food than us. Yet they left about an hour before we finished.

The service of food should be faster. I believe 1.5 hours would be better for us diners as well as faster patron turnover.

Food was freaking nice! Price is really reasonable, every dish has its own unique taste. The squid dish was nice but felt they should add more squid, green curry was great and really enjoyed that, the pork was good in both price and portion. Water is free and refillable.
Don’t waste your money - I have never posted a bad review before however i received my order that was stone cold the spring rolls had been in the paper for that long they had sweated through the paper and fell into the plastic bag. I ordered a soft egg king prawn omelette, what arrived was not what I order not sure what it was it was cold and soggy. The fried rice had so much oil there was a pool of oil about an inch on the bottom off the container which was cold as well. I though okay maybe a busy night (for a Monday) heated it up and then later I wished I didn’t both myself and my son vomited all evening!! Great meal thanks also the food took 90 minutes to arrive 😩
Maybe it was my taste, rather than the restaurant, but the meal was not great. Spring tolls had chicken and an odd meat (spam?) in, usually just expect crispy veg. The sweet and sour pork, sauce was fine, but expected crispy batter, was not so and an odd flavour to the pork. It was a take away, do not judgement on staff or venue. Don’t want to be too harsh, but not my best.

The starters were fairly standard. The coconut prawns were a little dry, but the satay chicken was fairly good.

Had a chilli basil stir fry for the main which was pretty good.

Staff were very attentive and assisted with special request of a side of fried rice noodles.
Pretty happy with the value of the curry-rice with pork cutlet and their agedashi tofu. The karahage were nice, but could have been softer. Will definitely go back.

I have been to Larnna Thai for million times, it’s absolutely my favourite Thai Restaurant in Newcastle. Food provided in generous portion, dedicated plating, lots of healthy and balanced dishes available on the menu, great service all the time. They have the best authentic Tom yum soup (usually places have very light texture or made straight from paste) and pad Thai is also highly recommend. They made everything from scratch, even like prawn crackers and the entrees, definitely worth trying!

The minute I walked into Chin Chin on Flinders Lane, the energy hit me. It was electric! The music pulsed, the staff buzzed around like friendly bees, and the air thrummed with excited chatter. I snagged a spot at the bar, mesmerized by the bartenders juggling colorful ingredients, and immediately ordered a lychee martini – strong, sweet, and the perfect way to kick things off.

The menu was like a flavor explosion. Everything sounded so good, it was hard to choose. Luckily, my neighbor was a local and raved about the "feed me" option, a chef's selection of shared plates. So, I took the plunge, and let me tell you, it was a flavor adventure! We devoured spicy green curry, melt-in-your-mouth dumplings, and some of the most incredible crispy pork belly I've ever tasted. Each dish was a revelation, a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy.

Chin Chin isn't just about the food, though. It's an experience. The atmosphere is infectious, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is simply outstanding. It's the kind of place that leaves you wanting more, with a lingering taste of deliciousness and a smile on your face. If you're looking for a vibrant, exciting, and utterly delicious meal in Melbourne, Chin Chin is a must-try. Just be prepared to wait – the place is always packed!
Absolutely terrible restaurant. They told us over the phone they could provide for 70 people and that we could all order off the menu. Once they had seated us and served drinks we were told we could only order a banquet. At 30 dollars a head we had 5 dishes per table that were worth around 17 dollars on the menu. Absolute rip off. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!
Honestly unacceptable we had a group of people and they just abused us forced us to get a banquet and then charged us double the price if we would have gone alacart. Be aware this resteraunt is a SCAM we ended up having to pay after an hour of abuse.
-Average food
-It was an extremely unpleasant experience for our group booking. We were charged an obscenely large amount of money for the banquet (much over 2x what it should have been) and copped a lot of abuse in mandarin and it was stupid as we had so many people who speak the language and understood.
-Will not be returning to the restaurant
-Extremely disappoiting

Tasty food, and attentive and friendly staff.
We had the #2 banquet, and it was great! The entre soup was so flavoursome, and the mixed entres were tasty. For the mains, the curries were great...particularly the massaman beef
The meat was so tender it just fell apart! Dessert for that banquet was just sliced apple and grapes, but that's honestly all we needed after all the mains. We took a doggy bag home of the extras!
Good food and service. We had Yum Cha here and they regularly bring out small quantities of different dishes so that the dishes were always hot and fresh. Best vegetarian dumplings we have had in ages.
If you like watching people good place.
If you want good chinese food try someplace else.
The drinks where cold

I find it hard to believe I’m the only person in the last 5 years to leave a review? Someone please help the new owners?
The old Asian guy was so rude, we were there an hour and a half and only got 2 out of the 4 dishes we ordered. And when we tried to leave we were abused saying we got out other 2 meals. Will never be back this is the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
Tasty food and very nice staff. Fried rice was good as well as the shrimps. Decoration were kind old school but I really liked it. Feels like home :)
Bishamon is always great place to go for dinner.
I am lucky cuz I live so close to Bishamon so I go quite often.
Their tempura is the best in Brisbane. But make sure if head chef works on that day. I tried when head chef was off, it was alright but was not as good as usual. Every single food is enjoyable.
Thanks Bishamon :)
We came for yum cha with a group that included several vegetarians and vegans. I contacted the restaurant several days in advance to check if my vegetarian and vegan friends could be catered for and the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. They were happy to prepare extra dishes in accordance with my friends' strict dietary requirements and were very attentive to their needs on the day we visited. Top marks for service.

The rest of us meat eaters were just as content. Although there wasn't a huge variety of dim sum, the ones that were on offer were fresh and of very good quality. We paid about $28 a head, which is about average for yum cha in Sydney. I would be pleased to return to this restaurant.
Had a very bad dining experience, to cut a very long story short, my wife and I walked in off the street were seated straight away and our drink order was taken. We ordered 2 dishes and rice and within 5 minutes it was delivered. Both dishes were not even close to being cooked, one of the prawns my wife ate was still frozen in the middle. We asked if we could get the food taken back to kitchen and cooked further as it was cold but our request was refused by the waitress. So we left food and went to pay for the drinks and rice only. This resulted in a disagreement between ourselves and the cashier(owner) who demanded we pay full price, then 1\2 price for both dishes. When other customers agreed with us that we should not pay the owner told them to Shut up and mind their own business and threatened to call the police on all of us. We ended up paying a little bit more than the cost of the beers & fried rice will never be returning. I would avoid this place at all costs.
