Hands down one of our best dining experiences our family has had at the Gold Coast. The service was delightful with really friendly and attentive staff. The food came out really quickly and was packed full of flavour. If you can I would recommend trying to sit outside to make the most of the view onto surfers Paradise beach. If you can't, indoor seating is lovely as well. The place is family friendly with an extensive menu for everyone.
Was a delight to have dinner here. The portion size is very generous, flavours so authentic, the service very nice and the price of our meals were so good! We were lucky to stumble across this restaurant on our road trip up the north coast. Thank you 🙏🏼

Staff were amazing, excellent customer service with a smile. Every dish we ordered tasted so good. The Deep fried banana and ice cream dessert was a hit! Great for families and very well priced. Peaceful environment and so relaxing. We will be back.
Loved this restaurant till tonight. 1/2 way through the meal my husband discovered this paper like sheet in the meal. I contacted the restaurant to be told I was wrong. Wasn’t looking for a refund or replacement, just an acknowledgment and apology.
No hesitation rating a 5 star. Amazing food, environment and staff. Booked last minute and the weather was perfect for a spicy bite. Kids loved the authentic taste also. Thanks to the lovely staff.

The food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant has a great vibe. The service could have a tiny bit of improvement - When our server brought our food, she just sat it all down on the table and left. We all had to swap the food around. That's not a crisis and isn't enough to make me not go back but it made it a little strange. I'll definitely go back for dinner again.

Ordered a vegetarian Pad Thai, halfway through eating I found a curly wurly hair...lost my appetite didn't want to finish it. I read the reviews before ordering and I took the chance, big regrets I shouldn't have... :(

Wow! Just wow! This was the best Thai food we’ve ever had! We had the Pad Thai and Massaman beef curry and they were phenomenal. We love Thai food and this is going to be hard to beat! Very reasonably priced. 2 cocktails, 2 mains and rice for just over $100, right on the ocean with Fast friendly service. Fantastic!

me and my family when there to have dinner and we order Pad Thai, Curry and Fried Rice. We had to wait a little bit too much, but it was worth it, we got one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Thank you so much for the friendly staff and for the chefs who made our fantastic food.

The service was great, and the food was well-presented and flavourful, though I’ve had more authentic Thai elsewhere. The flavours weren’t as bold as I prefer. I’d still return, but it wouldn’t be my top choice. The satay chicken is excellent, with a deliciously creamy peanut sauce.
Stopped in for a Buhn Mi Roll. Best one I've ever had! Cooked fresh, not Chicken out of a fridge.. Highly recommend it, will be back for dinner! The owner Joy was lovely ⭐️
I recently had lunch here and ordered the stir-fried vegetables with chicken, priced at AUD 16.90. While the dish was decent, the portion size felt small for the price, and the flavors were rather average—not particularly memorable.
The dining experience could have been more comfortable; it was warm inside, and the single ceiling fan didn’t provide much relief. Although glasses were on the table, water was not provided, which is a simple but important touch that could enhance the overall experience.

Straight forward great food without the fuss. Our favourite Thai restaurant delivering consistent quality food at very reasonable prices.
New owners, prices have increased but alas not close to the same quality , had 2 long black hairs in my prawn red curry. Could not eat it after then. Grossed me out 🤢

Attended this little beauty for dinner, and I must say absolutely fantastic, fresh, light and what a gem. Customer service was as amazing as the food. Thanks again for an amazing dinner.
Stopped in for lunch and my first ever Bahn Mi. Two choices of Bahn Mi fillings, pork or chicken. We had the chicken. The lady serving says she gets the baguettes specifically driven from Brisbane every day and I must say, the care for the food was excellent even down to the way it was served as you can see in the photos.
There was a little heat in the roll but this could be avoided if needed as it was a large chunk of chilli.
It is an observation not a complaint that it took a little while to come but that is thankfully because they are made fresh to order. So if you want a quicker lunch turnaround, ring and order before you arrive.

Second time eating here and it’s so yummy! The vegetarian curry puffs and spring rolls are probably the best I’ve had!!!
My partner is vegan and we get the mussaman and the peanut sauce. My only criticism is the peanut sauce isn’t like a satay, it’s very light. I wish it had more of a sauce. But it’s all so delicious. The food came out fast. And we took home leftovers :)

We are so glad we found this place, because not only can we get delivery with uber eats, the food is absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly.

We ordered take out from these guys tonight and 2 of the dishes were very burnt, we couldn’t take them back as they had closed. It spoilt our entire takeaway as that was the only thing we could taste.
I am so annoyed that people think it is ok to send out this substandard food, it would be impossible to not know our dishes were burnt, yet they still chose to send them out. Reading another review it is my belief that these guys are not cleaning pans in between dishes and the burnt/ charred food is because of this. Will never order here again absolute disappointment and waste of money!!

I really enjoyed our dinner here! I had the Pad See Ew and the Nanango Curry, both bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. We started with a kingfish entrée, which was fresh and delicious. The cocktail jug was also excellent, adding a nice touch to the meal. The service was great, making it an all-around fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!

I heard that this restaurant has a pretty view, so I went there. I arrived earlier than the opening time and asked them if I could take a picture. They were very kind and willing to allow me to take a picture of the scenery before the opening time.
The food was delicious, but it was a little salty to my taste, but the coconut paradise was so delicious.
If I have a chance, I would like to visit again!

Food was delicious and the service was exceptional! We visited with a family group of 11 adults and kids were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend the chicken satay, spring rolls and duck curry. Will return
We visited here in mid-September 2024, and we tried the Chicken Pad Thai and the Veggie Tofu Fried Rice, and both dishes were delightful. The Pad Thai had an outstanding balance of flavours, with tender chicken and fresh toppings like bean sprouts and green onions, complemented by a zesty lemon wedge. The Veggie Tofu Fried Rice was a hearty and colourful dish, filled with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked tofu, making it a wholesome choice. Both dishes were well-seasoned, fresh, and satisfying. I would recommend it for a light, tasty meal! Both dishes were well seasoned.

Came here on Friday night as we were hungry and most other places had a line or were full and we can understand why this place had so much space. While the food was decent, it was quite expensive for what it was and the sushi train was no better, with some of the fried foods soft already during dinner service. Overall I wouldn’t recommend if in the area and just try and find another restaurant instead.

A great local find with quick services. I came during lunch, during which they have a wide variety of dishes for 13.5 AUD, including curries and noodles. I ordered a chicken Pad Thai and Pad See Ew and they were both great, with generous portions. We could've probably shared 2 dishes between 3 people.
Also, I needed to get takeaway so I called to order. It was conveniently ready for me when I arrived.

We’ve tried a few Thai places in north lakes and this one became our go to. We order takeaway from here often and never disappoints. The only comment is a slightly stronger taste in the coconut rice would be awesome

The service is lacking, the waiters asked us to order by using their app, however the app couldn't process payment despite multiple attempts using different cards so they ended up taking our order manually.

Ayada is a good Thai restaurant situated on the same floor as Ikea.
Food is tasty, and lunch options are pocket friendly. Most of the dishes from the lunch menu are priced between $15 - $20.

The whole plate was incredibly dry, especially the chicken which I think had been cooked for too long it lost the juicy goodness. The sauce on the other hand did not help a bit – extremely salty and horrendous. I will never order this dish again.
Never again. We visited Tao today at 4pm because most restaurants in the vicinity had closed between lunch and dinner. What a mistake. Service was slow and forgetful. Kaiten food was poor quality and sparse. Sign at the table stated that we wait for plates to be counted. Despite asking for the account we were not met at the table with someone to count the plates. Waste of time, waste of money, will not ever return; we'd rather travel to Jaws or other reputable Kaiten sushi.

I recently visited Adaya Thai in Rhodes and ordered the plum duck, Thai basil rice, and Penang curry chicken. The food was exceptional, with just the right amount of heat for those who enjoy a bit of chilli without it being overwhelming.
However, the experience wasn’t flawless. The rice wasn’t served with the curry, so I had to order a small bowl of steamed rice separately to avoid letting the curry go cold.
Despite this, the meal was delightful. The basil rice, which included prawns, was delicious, with the prawns perfectly cooked—not dry at all. The plum duck was a standout, with a slightly oily drizzle that was incredibly moorish.

never again. some lullaby music playing in the background while we ate old dry sushi. the salmon tasted like everything but salmon since they obviously don’t change gloves or wash their knifes at all. the server didn’t even give us a menu or anything. barley any selection and i saw jelly and bagged lollies pass me more often than actual sushi. for a sushi train that’s kinda strange. instead of this ‘sushi train’ go to the one in carousel, at least they have fresh for and servers who know what to do. it felt like a food hall. soy bean drink was good tho.
If you’re a Thai fan, this will change Thai food for you forever. The bar has been set very high. Every single dish we ordered was quick, presentation was amazing and most of all the flavours and food quality was unmatched. We have definitely found our new Thai spot! The cocktails are also really well presented, delicious and quick to arrive! The staff were super attentive and really on their A-game with everything from start to finish! We will be back!!
Takeaway Pad Thai is exactly like the photo Julian shared in his review in June. Dry, small noodle pieces, dry chicken, no nuts and only one or two bean shoots. Absolute minimum effort and very low quality ingredients.

Service was 5/5 and location and view was nice. Heater near us was nice. Thai restaurants are always going to be compared and compared to my local...this was good, but not sensational. One thing that really surprised me was the size of my $24 rice....see photo....that is small!!! Satay chicken was nice but again not sensational. I guess I now realise I'm blessed with my local. But I will still come back one day...but let's increase the size of the rice...please.

Sorry to say the staff ruined our evening.. very disappointing service. Reached restaurant by 8:42 pm on Wednesday evening. It was empty, girl who came out from kitchen told they have closed. Quickly checked opening hours on google and it says they closes at 9:30 pm, asked about that and staff told kitchen closes at 8:45 pm. I told it was 8:43 only then , and requested to update it on google as well. So customers wont get insulted.

I found taste is as similar to any Bangkok Thai food taste with flavour, aroma, taste and spices. Staffs are friendly and supportive and service was fast. They have $15 set lunch menu which is good and portion is big enough. Sitting is cozy both in and outside. Price is reasonable.

Rating based on the food quality. It’s not authentic Thai at all. I ordered the beef massaman and it’s more like yellow curry with beef and potato and… pineapple??? There’s no peanuts which is essential to massaman. The beef is chewy low quality. There’s no spice at all, it’s bland. Can’t recommend it.
One of the best and flavourful Thai food we ate here. We had Garlic chive dumplings, veg Panang curry with Jasmin rice and Pad Ki Maow. The service was quick and they had plenty of vegetarian/vegan options to choose from. They even ensured that they cook the dishes in vegan sauce for us and it doesn’t contain any fish sauce. I only wish if the servers could smile more as it felt they were a bit disinterested but otherwise everything was great :)

The Pad Thai tasted gross, I didn't even finish it even though I was hungry and looking forward to it. Not only did it taste bad, but it looked bad. It tasted like a plate of pasta bolognaise, and didn't eat anymore and threw it out.
I looked closer at it, and the sauce was red too?! This is a joke to call it Pad Thai, a waste of precious money in this economy.

Located at Rhodes shopping centre same building with Ikea. Easy free parking many shops and cafe in the surroundings. Amazing food as I have traditional fried rice with many vegetables with nice and the best taste tasted from Thai restaurants.

Ordered Uber - Yellow Curry ok but - Satay chicken sticks were overcooked, dry & disgustingly overpriced. Look good on the menu but when they arrive they are 100mm long & shrivelled up. Also ordered fish cakes which were inedible little rubber discs. The service was fast but I guess that's easy when all you do is microwave food or pluck it from a bay marie. First time there was 14 years ago, this will be the last time. You have to be careful when serving fish & chicken but no care was taken here.

Always fresh food, with fast service and friendly team. Has good depth of flavour and just the right amount of spice. Give it a go, and you will not be disappointed . True locals secret. Great parking. 👍 They now open for Tradie Breakfast.

One of the best Thai I've had in the area. Delicious, comforting food at amazing price and generous portions. They take great pride in the presentation of the food. Flavours and spice take me back to Thailand.
Crispy pork belly probably one of the best I've had in long time! BBQ meats delicious and authentic sauces. The fish perfectly fried and fish fillets were nice and tender. One of my favourites and the deep fried icecream garnished with chocolate balls!!!

I have been to Thai House Helensvale on a few different occasions now once for dinner and twice for lunch and the meals are always delicious, super affordable and great portions. I always get the Pad Thai and it is absolutely beautiful and for $14.50 during lunch time it is an absolute bargain especially considering it is a decent portion size and filling. I have come here with my brother as well as my dance group and everyone is always throughly impressed with their meals. The staff are also always so lovely and accommodating and are always coming around to your table and topping up your cold water and checking if there is anything that you need.

Asked for veggie hot dogs and (only becaus ei double-checked) were told we were given meat sausages. Absolutely horrified given that were both strict vegetarians. The owner/manager didn't seem to care, nor offered any sort of reconciliation (I had to ask for a refund). Awful customer service. No one expects that a restaurant s raving 2 options on their menu that day would serve you the meat option when you have clearly asked for the veggie. Disappointed is an understatement. Not cool.

Fantastic venue where you can expect authentic Thai flavours. The customer service is exceptional and the decor and auroma will transport you to Thailand first class. This will become our weekly outing.
We've come to Thai House several times plus, as a treat, will order Takeaway - especially after a hard week at work! It's always fresh, tasty and good value for money. The service is exceptional too. I can't recommend this restaurant more highly.
We were here for late lunch so it was not busy. Peaceful and quiet relaxing. Nice selection of food from the menu and there is a sushi train. We had beef Singapore noodles and crispy chicken fried rice. There were delicious. Staffs were not really attentive but service was fine. I don’t mind to dine in here but I think it’s lacking atmosphere. I hope the restaurant will look into this to improve.

$13.90 lunch special with rice. Both were yummy and well-season highly recommended. Generous serves but could do with more rice to mop up the sauce. Loved the variety of veg in the stir fry. Red curry was creamy and tasty. 2 thumbs up!

Delicious!! So glad to have found this little spot by accident!! Easy parking, tasteful dishes. Most definitely my new favourite Thai place to eat at. Highly recommended!! The food did not disappoint. Friendly service and very prompt. Will be back again :-)

After: I revisited the same Thai restaurant with some friends last night 13/10/2023 and was disappointed.
Green curry was watery and the other dishes was not up to the expectations.
May be the kitchen staff were in a hurry to close.

Good place to have Sushi in Victoria Park. Atmosphere is good, place is good for groups and families. Variety of Sushis are available on the train which keeps moving near the table. Staff was polite, service was really good. Recommended to try different type of Sushi’s here. If you have preferences of Vegan or Gluten Free Sushi, that is also available on the separate Menu.
Absolutely Thai never disappoints!! And I have been coming here for years. The food is always consistently very good, fresh, full of flavour always comes well presented, comes out in good time and always hot. They have many beautiful dishes on the menu all at very reasonable prices.
For entree I highly recommend the Golden cups, crunchy little cups filled with a mince filling full of flavour. The second entree I would highly recommend are the curry cuffs they are just delicious, golden, and crispy on the outside, with a soft mild curry vegetable blend in the centre accompanied with a sweet chilli dipping sauce and garnish salad.
For the main course I can't go past the Pra Ram Long Song which is assorted vegetables stir-fried with in-house Peanut sauce I however like to add chicken to this dish which just makes it extra special. Don't forget to order a bowel of rice to go with your main meal as rice is not included however the meal portions are very generous and what ever you don't eat you can take home for left overs.

Nice Thai restaurant, enjoyed the favours. Whole dining experience was good except the fried ice cream at the end. Was a bit under cooked and soggy.

A lot is on offer on their menu yet quite specific so makes it easy to choose and eat what u are in the mood for. We have been going here quite regularly and love everything we have tried so far. The servings are quite good too. We even order from home once in a while and food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

One of the nicest Thai meals I have had (and I have tried many!)
The seafood melted in my mouth, the pumpkin and capsicum curry was scrumptious and the dipping sauces with appetizers were delicious.
New decor is warm and inviting and the waitress was friendly.

My family took us to Baan Phaya Thai last night where we dined outside and had a great time. The staff were lovely and catered for our every need. They were friendly and the food was amazing. Despite the restaurant having multiple takeaway orders they managed to serve all our meals together quite quickly. Unfortunately my photos didn’t all work but everyone absolutely loved their food. Definitely worth it. The meal were excellent value and quite large.
I have been here a couple of times now and am never disappointed, neither those I dine with👌 The staff are so friendly and efficient and the meals are perfect! I love everything I've ever eaten here, be it from the lunch menu or dinner. And you simply must try the fried banana, so good 10/10

The best little restaurant. We absolutely love the meals here, great lunch price for a delicious meal. We are returning customers for cashew nut chicken. The best coconut rice I’ve ever had too.

This Thai restaurant's food taste is different from others. It seems that the meals are cooked in western way. I can't tell it's authentic or not. Maybe chef has done some adjustment to adapt local preference. Anyway, it still tastes good. But some ingredient like snake beans are really hard and raw...

Went to the Melville Tao Cafe on the 2 May and that was 5 stars. Boy was that really good sushi and a lot of different variety. Went to the Victoria Park one today and the sushi variety was a lot less and had to order from the menu as the ones that I did like never went on the sushi train. Plus the sushi rice was not made perfectly.
Maybe be best to stick with the Melville store as had a better experience there then the Vic Park store.

I came here today with 2 other people spontaneously (we were only supposed to get drinks in the bottle shop beside it!), and so happy that we gave this place a go.
We ordered pad thai, massaman curry, red curry and some spring rolls, and they were amazing! Service was friendly and the staff was great. Would definitely come again to support this business.

Good atmosphere to be, great for groups, families and even couples. Kids love the sushi train especially when it comes to desserts. They serve not only sushi but other Asian food. Plenty to choose from despite some hits and misses when it comes to taste but overall experience is great. Located next to IGA,this place is quite spacious. Service is good and food is reasonably priced.

Man this place is fun! Good food, great cocktails, and the best staff! If you want a fun night, with great service you should check this place out. Dinner tonight ended up feeling like a dinner party with friends as the owners ended up joining us for dinner. Twas the best!

Great food and wine. Very nice atmosphere. And most of all.. amazing coffee made by Mark!! Had to buy some coffee beans too. The organic hazelnut milk was also delicious.!!
So delighted to have found this gem on Smith Street on a random night out! Recently opened, this place have different spaces from small intimate booths, tables for 4, a bar and also a function room for hire. Absolutely loved the hospitality from new owners Mark and Tony! We tried the ginger matcha and sesame charcoal latte which was really unique! We also had cocktails, dessert and hours later, we called it a night! So much for plans for an early night! This place is dog friendly with an outdoor area which wins points in my book! Thank you lads! Will be back soon!
My partner and I decided to give this place a try after regularly walking by and noticing the simple decor and chill atmosphere. We ended up having a really wonderful evening, accompanied by their "best of" menu, which was an onslaught of one delicious meal after another. Whilst the wine price was marked up by ~100% to the cost of the same wine at BWS, the service and food truly made it worthwhile the cost. The owners and staff were absolutely lovely and professional. We're not from Melbourne, but we are going to recommend this place, and revisit when we can.
Had a lovely dinner there over the long weekend, veggie spring rolls were amazing and the char siu was delicious. Also this non-drinker quite enjoyed the red mocktail from the bar. Chill atmosphere and good music too, I definitely recommend!
Best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend their honey chicken, chilli and basil pork stir fry and coconut rice. You will never regret!
