Great park with excellent viewpoints over Prague, often live music, lots of benches and beer gardens. Good for exercising as well as the park is very hilly so works well for HIIT training. There is also a nice calisthenics place here.
Ein ganz besonderer Ort!

Great tower with artifacts related to prison and torture. It is a good recovery and addition to the torture room inside golden lane.

There are two levels with one requiring you to take a narrow stair case down. When busy itt required patience to mak it up and down as there can be no passing on the stairs.

Dont skip it on your haste to leave golden lane.

A nice little park on top of Harfa trade center with Dinassour mock-up. It is a fun place for kids although rather small and quick to explore which brings me to my problem with it - the tickets are expensive for what it offers.

Go in there in the evening and not in the morning like me. Why? Because you get to drink beers and it will be tough being drunk the whole day. Joking aside, the museum is really nicely thought out and informative. It leads you through history of beer and how it evolved. The reading material is interesting and witty. The staff was friendly and nice. Beers were also good. High recommendation to visit.

One of most historic landmarks in Prague, the library is old and has many old books one of them from the third century!! You cannot go further inside one two meters and take pictures without flash because they have to maintain certain temperature and humidity!
Another cool thing, you can go up to the tower and enjoy the view of the old town from above!
Must Visit :)
We tried to visit this site between Christmas and New Year, based on what appeared to be their updated opening dates and times, but after making three trips there on foot, it was closed on every occasion. Very disappointing and a big waste of holiday time when we were only in town for a limited number of days.
Please update your opening times correctly.

Interesting to visit because of its uniqueness. Mind the fact visitors cannot, in fact, enter the library. Rather, they are allowed to take pictures from the door.
Gets super busy through midday and early afternoon but still usually quiet enough to study. People are mostly very polite to each other.
Please enjoy the hill walk to get here. Lush nature and very nice views can be seen from the top of the hill.

Big long beautiful shopping Square. Museum sits proudly at the top of the Square. Plenty of shops, hotels and restaurants. We went at Christmas, Christmas markets were also here.

Fairly crowded during the noon. I went there at the end of Dec '23 for a holiday. It was such a waste I couldn't visit the national museum. If you have spare time, just visit it. The statue itself is a landmark of Praga (my fellow student said that) so at least, take photos before you leave Checzh like I did.
It's a free library for students. You'd almost always see a lot of people hunched over a book. Great for group sessions and private studies

If you are ever in Prague around the Xmas season then the nativity exhibition at the Bethlehem Chapel is well worth a visit. Children will find it especially delightful and magical.

Nativity displays are a really important part of the Czech Xmas tradition. You will find many beautifully crafted scenes in craft and gift shops and many displays in churches. The Bethlehem Chapel is my favourite. It consists of a large number of scenes, hand-made by crafts people using a range of different materials and styles. They are playful, imaginative and some are really dazzling. For me a trip to this exhibition is an essential part of a Prague Xmas experience.

The museum is near the city center ant it is open in the evening, so it might be a good choice if you don’t know what to do around the center. You will get to test 3 types of beer and you can read about the history of the beer also a fun fact about Budweiser beer. I was expecting something more interactive from a beer museum that’s why I gave it 4 stars.

Wenceslas Square is lovely around Christmas where there’s a less crowded and more enjoyable Christmas market (though Wikipedia says this is the place with “the busiest pedestrian traffic in the whole country”) and other activities on the boulevard. Also the place to get a great photo of the Czech National Museum and a few other notable historical buildings like the Koruna Palace, as well as the Statue of Wenceslas.

Fun experience visiting this absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking library & astronomical tower. We weren't able to go inside the library room itself, as to preserve it. I wasn't aware of that fact prior to purchasing the guided tour, so I was a bit disappointed , but understand why that rule is in place. Still a great experience!

Interesting museum - small beers. Leave a review and get an extra beer! Roughly $13 USD. Cool wax figures and beer memorabilia.

Update: if you show your review upstairs and downstairs, you can get two “free” beers, but be sneaky😉😈.

Nice but doesn't worth the money. It is only a wall full of differnet type of beers to see. You receive 3 small beers ( I must admin they are good) but you pay 360 cz when in a pub you pay 60-70 cz for a large beer. Pay attention that you can't enter after 7pm as they say the visit takes aprox 1, 5h and the museum closes at 8.30. It took us 45 min.
Google maps opening hours say opened untill 15.00, we came 12.40 and the entrance was closed, with sign that next tour is 16.12.23

Simply one of the best parks for sunsets with your loved ones.

You can get your own beer and lounge in the sunset point with occasional live music. If you're lucky then you can find the entire slope empty and can enjoy a sundowner in solace.

Inkl. Observatorium und Wetterstation!
Dauer insg. ca. 50 Minuten, die absolut lohnen!

Don't worry it's really not a tourist trap. First we went through the museum, you can see the history of beer production in Czech Republic, you can see how the beer packaging has changed, some fun statistics... After the tour you get to enjoy 4 different beers. Last 2 were amazing!! You can choose to have them outside or in the basement that looks like an old pub. It's a fun experience! 200czk for student tickets, great deal
We visited because we attended a concert there, so we didn't really get to look around. As a concert venue, it has a lot to recommend it. Good, clear acoustics and an interesting antique architecture. If you're considering attending a concert here, I'd say do it, but try for seats in the center section, or near the front of one of the side sections. Also, the schematic for buying tickets implies that there are obstructed view seats -- there are in fact 2 large pillars -- but we did not find that they impeded the view from any of the seats. The geometry of the schematic and the reality are not the same, so don't worry about that.

If you can get a private tour in advance, book it. The library is incredible. We could only see it from the outside, but it still looks amazing. Luckily they also have lots of pieces outside for you to see, along with signs in English. The ceiling is the thing to notice and admire, along with the books of course.

This 1200s (I belive) tower is a wonderful exhibit for medieval history nerds. It's just like your typical medieval towers only... smaller! I really enjoyed this place because of both the view from the seating area just outside, and the beautiful stone work of the tower. Even the history was beautiful as it was displayed very nicely. Well done!

This is open for tours once per month. Well worth seeing and has lots of the original equipment intact. All labels are in Czech only and none of the volunteers spoke English, though.
There are lot of book. They are about very different subjects. Also there are many English book about subjects. It is very good place to work, meet, discuss. You don’t need registration to use the library. Only if you want to take book, you need it. There are a cafe, meeting rooms.

Every month the bunker is opened one Saturday from 9 to 15h. Check the opening dates on their website. Very interesting self walked visit in this bunker from 50ies. Many things are very old and I don't believe this place would veritably be able to serve it's original purpose fully in case of need. The diesel fuel and oxygen bombs are missing. Also showers don't seem to work. Water was running though. It is capable of accomodating in sitting position up to 1300 for 72h. Omnipresent humidity from underground water leaking the shafts makes the place wet and slippery in places. Bring good shoes and warm clothes, since the temperature here is around 18°C and you might be walking for about 1h. The description panels shall be kept in better state and also more info's shall be provided to the people. It would be also great to have a panel describing how to proceed in case of a real disaster.

It's a fun outing for the kids with some pretty impressive dinosaur statues and some minimal effort animatronics, but honestly the whole park could definitely use a revamp with some new ideas.
During our visit to Prague, my wife and I also visited the very interesting Bethlehem Chapel, which is interesting from the time of the Reformation and is associated with the reformer and great mind Jan Hus. Photos of the interior say a lot. But it is interesting that you can read about the history of the chapel in your own language.

This is a very informative exhibition. As a beer lover, I also loved the ending! Not much high-tech or interactive exhibits, but (in my opinion), they are not needed.

At the end we got 4 “tasters” (spoiler alert!!!) which are practically half a pint each! Each is a different Czech beer. I had a favorite, but I guess it is just a personal taste. In general, this was a very good experience.
A well maintained park on the roof top of a shopping mall ...My kid loved it..

A torture room of all kinds of fun torture devices with a skeleton or two.
there is always a pleasant student-like informal atmosphere here. It is cozy and I have never observed any aggression here. there is sufficient space between the tables for conversations, and some students use to work on there project. the terrace outside is spacious and in a pleasant environment. There is a large hall available where you can sit in luxurious armchairs and the toilets are excellently maintained within a short walking distance. the consumption offer is also varied and of high quality.

Really cozy and chill park. Amazing surroundings. Actually very quit despite being in Prague city. Definitely worth visiting if you want a little break and enjoy the calmness.
Huge yes.

The design is amazing, nice temperature, open all day (and night) long. Free for students of other universities (+digital nomads). There are vending machines in each floor and a cafe on the bottom with nice outdoor space for the warm days.

It can be very busy during the exams and in 6 floors you can’t find a single chair to sit. But surprisingly everyone respects the quiet zones.

Prague has a lot of beer gardens but I like Riegrovy Sady a lot. It's not at much height, so it's easy to climb and you can enjoy a good sunset view with beer and other drinks.
You can even buy drinks from the beer trucks.
Don't forget to take a bedsheet or something similar to enjoy the sunset view you might need to sit on grass.
An important historical landmark in Prague Old Town
This was the site of a large chapel from the High Middle Ages were the gospel was to be preached in Czech. Jan Hus preached from here and it was here that the burgeoning Hussite movement began to take root in the Czech lands. After the burning of Hus by the emperor and the Hussite Wars, the chapel continued to be used by the Hussites, until the Thirty Years War, when it was taken over by the Jesuits. It subsequently fell into disrepair and was allowed to be demolished, but it was reconstructed under the Communists, who saw Hus as an early champion of the proletariat. The hall has been well reconstructed and there are guides and interpretative materials to allow one to see the importance of this hall in the history of Prague and the wider world.
One of the smaller churches in the Old Town, but still very good
Located beside the Spanish Synagogue and the statue of Kafka, the Church of the Holy Spirit is smaller than many of the Old Town churches, but is still possessed of a quiet beauty. The decorations are less extravagant than in many churches, but are still worth seeing if you enjoy old churches.

The library is a nice place for self study and reading.
The security guard is nice.
It’s a really clean and modern library. There are quiet study rooms, teamwork rooms, as well as rooms with vending machines for food and drinks. I saw a small vending machines for stationery too. The toilets and food vending machines are on each floor, making them convenient to access.

Each floor is quite small, so it is quite a walkable place.

There seems to be some Czech Technical University (CTU) classes in a few rooms.

The main hallways are a bit noisy as people are walking up and down staircases, so studying in the more remote corners of each floor may be better.

I think the political drawings you can view in the center of the building are cute.

On my first visit, I managed to enter without printing a free day pass—I simply asked the person at the entrance to let me in. (I’m not sure if it’s because I looked like a confused CTU student who forgot her card.) For my second visit, I managed to print my ticket at the ticket printer right next to the turnstiles.

During the exam season, on a Saturday, the place was almost full though. I had a walk a bit to find a suitable seat.

It’s not a tourist attraction per se—other libraries in Prague have a more storied history—but I think that it’s a good place to study.
One of the most original not that famous buildings in Prague. It’s used for graduation ceremonies, where the chapel feels like a very appropriate and practical place.

The models are excellent and my son absolutely loved it with so many dinosaurs from Jurassic Park. The only bad thing was the paint job on the dinosaurs was a bit faded when we visited (Aug 2022), not so bad but I bet they look amazing when freshly painted. Completed in 1962, the Kryt Folimanka shelter / bunker is currently one of 22, and the largest underground structure in the Prague 2 district. The shelter covers an area of 1,332 m 2 and can accommodate 1,300 people. The cover is maintained, lit, heated and, if necessary, fully functional. The shelter is open to the public once a month for 4 hours, and you'll probably need a certain measure of luck just to find it. Of course if you're good at the coordinates you can jump in from Google maps. It's an amazing bit of Cold War history and given the current state of things currently with Russia and Putin, carry a certain irony to their existence.

Such a cool place.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a library as cool as this one!
Everywhere you see there a story why something it’s in each place (design).
They also have a place where you can play Mario bros and stuff.
They said you are able to stay the entire night if you need to continue working.
It’s free entrance.

The Daliborka tower is the prison/place of torture (was there a difference then), of Prague Castle, back in the day. Not it houses prison/torture exhibits on two levels. There's not much on show. there's a single board describing the use of Daliborka tower, plus labels for many of the exhibits.

Entry is basically free. Not much to see really, but it's kind of entertaining trying to navigate the tower as it's not been modernised. The building and stairwells are old.

The dino park was great. I think I was the only person over 20 enjoying themselves there, but the weather was foggy so there weren't a whole lot of people there when we went. The 4d experience included with the price of admission was more like a 3d movie as the 4d features were pretty lacking. The younger kids seemed to really it enjoy the 4d experience either way.

Walking down V Kolkovně with the Church of the Holy Spirit anchoring the end of the street with its looming omnipresence. This church borders the Josefov and Old Town. While the area surrounding the church is lined with beautiful Art Noveau buildings but before they were built early in the 20th century, the church stands as a beacon across a more plain space.
