The app didn't work so had to order at the bar. The bar service was slow amd there only seemed to be one server but the Sunday roast beef was delicious. Unlimited Yorkshire puddings and gravy however we were so full no one in our party could manage anymore.
Atmosphere wasn't great but it was a sunny Sunday lunchtime.

This review is for foodies who can distinguish good food.
For a place that has venison in its name, the venison dishes disappointed me greatly. If you value your tastebuds, this place is not it for venison, but they serve really good Roast Pork Belly.
We ordered the Venison Casserole, Venison Burger, and Pork Roast.
The Venison Casserole felt like it was cooked for too short, and too much liquid from the venison seeped out, leaving the meat easily shredded but dry.
The venison burger is not ideal either, too dry and lacking in flavour, almost like it came out from a supermarket packet.
But the pork roast is brilliant. Soft with a good chunk of mashed taters mixed with mustard seeds for a zingy exciting spiciness. Order this if you are visiting and want the experience of dining here and eating relatively good food.

Wonderful food, very helpful staff, and the downstairs at least very atmospheric. Can't comment on the upstairs, because my wheelchair can't get up there, but the place is as accessible as it can be for somewhere that old and that small
It is now the third time I have visited The Castle for lunch and every time it has been great! The inside is traditional but airy & beautifully & simply decorated, nice polished floors, etc. quiet with a great ambiance. A good variety of food & drinks. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Our waiter on Thursday, 16th May was Stan or San? He has a lovely, pleasant face with an engaging smile and was patient and calm while my friend took a little while making up her mind on what to order such are the delicious choices on offer!! This is one of my favourite places now to have lunch with a friend as I live nearby in Lansdowne Walk. Love the large windows and being able to "people watch" the crowds outside. A great place to have lunch. Well done!

We ordered a Sunday roast and the chicken was completely RAW, totally pink inside and uneatable. We raised this with the waiter who checked with the chef who defended himself saying that the chicken was cooked at 72 degrees so he was not at fault, despite the meat being raw. They just brushed this off without even apologizing, let alone trying to provide some service recovery, which is something that any business would try to do when offering such poor service. Take your money somewhere else with better service
This place is historic, the decor is amazing, so much to learn just looking at the paintings and drawings in its walls. The view is really nice. It's family friendly in the dining room. The food is really good, the chips are delicious, crispy and flavorful.

Popped into this pub with Ric " The Hat" McTwitty. Drinks only for us but lots of people eating so cannot comment on this other than cheaper than the Ambleside Inn opposite. A good selection of 5 real ales if you ignore Sharp's Doom Bar. The Dark Star ran out so had St Austell Proper Job Pale Ale. Very good. Beer patio to front but no space on a sunny May Friday. Pleasant and spacious interior. Pint and a half of Madri £7.95.

Otherwise a great place to visit to either soak up the sun on their outdoor seating that is right on the Thames, or cosy up soaking up the history of the interior and it's great collection of Greenwich art through the centuries.

At £11.25 for their cheapest glass of wine and £7.75 for cheapest pint, no wonder you can always get a seat at this place when all the other pubs in the area are rammed! Yes London is expensive but these prices are ridiculous! Go around the corner for a normal priced pint and better atmosphere!

Quite easy to order using the app. (Details at the tables). Service was a little slow but acceptable, food was ok. Average 'pub grub'.
Gave it a go and regretted it. I feel bad because they seemed like nice enough staff but it was really bad food. They also gave me the wrong drink, and I could still drink the other so I checked with them if I had ordered the wrong thing online and then said don't worry about it, just for someone to come over and say they hadn't brought the wrong thing, it's just that the system let me order a drink they don't have in yet. Don't get the logic of that statement but it did make me a lot more bothered about the £4 I paid for the wrong drink. The £16 for a horrid burger and fries was worse though. If like me you think about trying this place as it is very slightly cheaper than other places nearby for what sounds like the same thing, don't. Just pay the extra bit or go get food from the Tesco nearby
I really liked the set up of the bar and the meals were very tasty plus well presented and within affordable prices. The pub is in a great location along the canals in Little Venice within easy walk from Paddington or Warwick Avenue stations.

Came here for dinner and was not disappointed. Had the trio of venison which was excellent. Well presented, good portion with lots of flavour. The starters were also excellent. A great setting in a very old building. Highly recommended for food and a decent pint of Guinness. The sticky toffee pudding was superb with mouth watering flavour.

A London gem! The most unique pub I have been to so far. Soooo much seating indoors & outdoors with a beautiful ambiance. Large quantities of food & their dishes are tasty!
Trafalgar Tavern is a delightful pub offering live music and a unique historical charm in the heart of Greenwich. While the prices are slightly above average, the cozy ambiance with a wonderful fireplace, charming outdoor seating adorned with lovely flags, and amazing decor make it a must-visit destination. The unique atmosphere and entertainment make it well worth the extra cost.
One of the most unique pubs I've been too. Wonky floors, low roof, skinny stairwells and doorways but it's all absolutely perfect.

This was a great relaxed environment with fabulous food and a lovely wine selection. We timed it for steak night. The steaks were perfectly cooked and had great flavours. I'm looking forward to returning in the future.
Had a fantastic stay, we're made to feel so welcome. Jess, Gabby, Steve & all other staff were super friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were great, would highly recommend a stay there.
Brilliant traditional London pub. Was buzzing when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon to meet a group of fellow marathon runners running for the same charity as my husband and I.
Bar was heaving but the bar team had it under control with very efficient service.
Ordered some sharing plate of food for the two of us which were tasty. Chips and Mac & cheese were yum. Vegan sausage roll not so great.
No complaints other than the toilets need some attention as is often the case in these sorts of pubs.

Amazing service from Agi and Jacob. I was made to feel extremely welcome from the moment I walked through the door. As someone with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality sector, it's amazing to see two individuals so passionate about their work and the service they provide.

I enjoyed their craft beer, the food was good, although I was not too sure of the way the Yorkshire pudding was cooked. The service was adequate and the atmosphere was good, as it was not too busy. An enjoyable spring evening.
Been a firm favourite for a long time, was recently in and had the buffalo wings and a burger as well as a few refreshments - gets better and better every time! Great drinks, great food, lovely staff! Would give them 6 stars if I could!

Cleanliness standards leave much to be desired - typical of English pubs, where drinking alcohol in a noisy group is a priority. One of my favourite pubs in London, great beer and really nice little menu for food. Everything was super tasty. And the staff there are amazing, really looked after my family. Can not recommend enough!!
Fabulously renovated old canal wharfe/warehouse with a narrow boat in the building. An excellent selection of Cask and Keg beers too. Well recommended.
The ultimate burger priced at £17 pounds should be renamed the average burger , the lettuce came from a salad bag, this came with 3 onion rings and 12 whole chips!!.

One of the top and best places in London, serving the best beer-battered fish and chips. Hands down, one of the best you will ever taste. Fantastic view of the river, wonderful decor, brilliant service, and mind-blowing food. It's an absolutely no-brainer if you are around Greenwich anytime.

We had dinner here as well as a pint after lunch the next day. The atmosphere was great. The styling feels like what you would expect and old pub to be. The food was fantastic. I had the whipped risotto on bread for an appetizer with the fish and chips for the meal. My only complaint would be that the chips were a little underdone. My husband had the venison burger and loved it. The server was wonderful, and the food and drinks came quickly. For the pint, we came in the next day on our way to the Cathedral and sat and listened to a war vet recount stories while we drank. It was lovely. Highly recommend.

Jess was wonderful. We had a lot of dietary requirements and made sure we could order what we wanted. She was so attentive and made our experience here amazing. All other staff we interacted with were also lovely. Definitely worth a visit at the end of a long wet walk.

First time to Ambleside and chose The White Lion for a Sunday lunch and OMG! Did we choose well, the rib of beef was amazing. Fully recommend! Literally fell off the bone! The staff were so welcoming and we enjoyed our experience so thank you so much!
The Roebuck is a beautiful escape from Bermondsey Street. A true local, no lines, such a relaxing place. Bar staff had the best reggae/ska playlist on, thank you! I ordered the pork chop, it truly was a fantastic meal, just so tasteful. Kudos to the chef! I can't say enough about The Roebuck. Go.
Staff were friendly and service was good but unfortunately that's the only positive. It was my first time eating at a Brewdog pub and the food just wasn't the same quality I've experienced at the bars. I was enticed by the slices of roast beef (pink) on the website (see 1st photo) but what I got was one piece that was well done. The horseradish was a nice touch and although the gravy was plentiful it was a little salty, likewise the veg and fries. No need to pre-salt fries when it's provided on the table. I was looking forward to my first Brewdog Sunday roast but was disappointed.

Wow! This place is the real deal. Proper old pub with hundreds of years of history... during which time either the floor has "slipped" or it was just built this way. Lots of interesting rooms and nooks and crannies. Food and drink measured up to the experience very nicely. Delicious Sunday roast with roast beef AND pork (why not?) and all the trimmings. If you get the choice of where to sit, sit downhill... that way if anyone uphill drops a roastie, it might roll down to you and you have a free spud! If you are a bishop, be careful on the tiled tap room floor. Apparently you can only move diagonally. I believe, like most bars of this vintage, there is an original bottle of Creme de Menthe still gathering dust on one of the upper shelves still only half drunk (rumours have it that the half that was missing had actually been spilled not drunk).
We only had some pints, but the place is cozy and they have a great beer selection.

I was here with my friends that have been living in London for many years. Perfect place, quite, nice and peaceful. The location is great and very typical, we sat outside since it was a beautiful day and it was simply perfect. We had some beers, hamburgers and other typical dishes, all very good. Hope to come back next time in London!

Quite a large place where you cross a bridge over a waterway with a barge floating to get to the bar. Great selection of real ales and craft beers. Very busy place. Popped in with friends for a beer. Enjoyed my visit.
I would give the bridge house 6 stars if I could! We hired the pub for a leaving party and I honestly had the most amazing time. The staff went above and beyond and were the friendliest of people. Every step of the way, Ian (general manager) was on hand to help with constant communication and helped us to envision the type of party we wanted. If I were to ever throw a party again, I would 100 times over choose the bridge house! We had a truly amazing time and will be returning tenfold. A big thank you to you all xx
An excellent tavern with bar or table service available. We had the bangers and mash and the fish and chips. Both were outstanding! The staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome. It was quiet when we arrived and we got a lovely river view table. By the time we had started our beers, things began to get busy and the place was soon packed. Great atmosphere and some excellent memorabilia all over the walls. Prices were reasonable but the food was well worth what we spent!

Stopped by on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. There's a good variety of beers here, and I can personally vouch for the coffee stoat and the berry cider. The staff was so nice as well - when there was a temporary rethink of an ordered, on tap, drink, they waited patiently while we figured out if that was what we wanted, telling us that there was no issue in changing it if we needed to.

A unique pub with the canal running through the middle of the pub complete with moored barges inside. Walk across the bridge to get to the bar. Good selection of both real and keg Ales. A lovely Waterside outdoor area when the weather is warmer. Serves food. Located close to the railway station. We'll worth a visit when in Nottingham.
Small, quiet pub. There is a fire place and the its nice and warm inside. The staff are friendly. Very limited drinks selection (on tap) and it's expensive vs other pubs in the area. Ideal if you're on your own or want a quiet drink and chat with you partner.
Lived up to the hype. Very old original features, amazing staff, great service lovely food. Fitted us in at 6 pm. We luckily went in on Friday night, but they were full, so they squeezed us in for Saturday. I would book ahead if you don't want to be disappointed.

The food, staff and hours open are all incredible. Ate here twice in 3 days and the bartender and everyone remembered us. They have a large, delicious menu and lots of beer, wine and liquor to choose. Highly recommend when you want a low-key pub vibe with top tier food
Unique pub worth visiting for its location alone. Also sells loads of ale from keg, cask and bottle. Large canalside area seating. Large inside and done out really well. It’s really nice seeing the barges moored up inside. Serves food. Friendly staff. Went in on a warm

We loved this place! It was a great surprise as we were walking the canal and needed a break. It was 4 o'clock and the kitchen was closed, but they had great nuts and some rolls for snacks. The bartender was excellent and we had great drinks! I really loved the summer fruit cup and will now try to find Walker & Scott liqueur somewhere else. I heard that out of the Samuel Smith brewery they are called Pimm's. :-)
A short walk from Nottingham railway station. Friendly and helpful staff. Food good quality. I had the slow cooked bourbon brisket of beef which was very tender and tasty. Other members of the party had beef Sunday lunch, chicken Sunday lunch and venison burger. All reports were good.
Outside area is mostly covered by glass gazebo and is a nice canal side site. Inside is quirky as the bar area is formed around a canal boat dock. We were there for a pipe (smoking) show in the events room above the bar, this is hireable. Only real drawback is the toilets, ladies on 1st floor, gentlemen on 2nd floor.

We all enjoyed our meals although there were a few issues. There was some confusion when the server misread the order and brought a child's portion. This was quickly resolved. One of our party mentioned that the parsnips were a little chewy. I didn't have parsnips but would've probably enjoyed them anyway. The deserts were excellent. Staff were friendly. Good value.
Great pub atmosphere with delicious food and quality presentation. Our bar attendant was clearly new. She was adorable and worked really hard the service was excellent.
We reserved an area of the pub for our wedding reception drinks. Before the day our booking and organisation experience was really relaxed, efficient and friendly.

Stopped in here on the way home. A beautifully presented pub. We had lunch and were pleasantly greeted by a fancy new menu with some delicious food. Can reccomend the 'Carne ASADA Fries'. Everything was great, do yourself a favour and get down here!
Nice location just next to canal and 2 mins away from main train station. Very cosy nice place, big seating area. Good service even when they’re very busy. Outdoor seating. Love the idea of a bride inside pub with dreamy lights. They had big variety of craft beer, ales, ciders & wine as well as non alcoholic drinks. Had couple of drinks and enjoyed my food before catch a train.
We went here on a deal. I didn't enjoy my meal enjoy to feel I'll ever go back. I got the Chicken burger, when it came out, it looked the part. Alas it was style over substance. The chicken itself was fairly small, much smaller than the beef burger (partner had). One side of the chicken was super thin, rising up to the other being a bit thicker. It was soft, being brined in buttermilk. I couldn't figure out whether it was supposed to have a coating or not, see picture. It came with red lettuce on, which leaked lots of moisture as I picked up the bun, not great for eating and watered the flavour down. Overall it was much too sweet, brioche bun is sweet and the some sweet mayo, pineapple maybe. I had to eat the chicken on its own, to taste it, it got lost in the mess. Full price for the Chicken burger alone is £10. I would be very disappointed at that price. Chips were £4.50, seems very expensive for very average frozen French fries. No way these are made fresh. The guts of £15 for a great looking, but very mediocre Chicken Burger and chips. I could not recommend.
The Roebuck on Trinity street and Falmouth road on the south side of the A2 is a simply beautiful Victorian building, lucky enough to be a great pub as well! Beer is lovely and cold and tasty (all on a gorgeous summer's day, an extra and is allowed!). A fair selection of cask ales for them that do too. A great pub!
Very nice pub. Good atmosphere with nice ambiance. Well designed with nice tables! The temperature was perfect as well and you can really relax. The food was great as well, o e if the best Sunday roast I had in London!!! We will come again for sure!
Alfie’s car wash is topnotch for cleaning and valet. Very thorough and efficient guys here and great customer service. They get straight on with the job so you don’t have to wait around.🧽
Absolutely lovely/very professional staff and nice atmosphere. Beautiful interior and beer garden out the back with umbrella cover and ash trays provided. Drinks weren’t really my thing and I thought they were pricey for what we got. Recommend if you enjoy more bitter cocktails rather than sweet; my friend absolutely loved the Venice Negroni.
Possibly the worst take away I have ever had. Ordered a 4 meat kebab, they got the order wrong and sent chicken tika instead of lamb shish. Charged us £4 delivery when the place is less than a mile from us. Added another 40p service charge which is an insult as the food arrived only just warm and had to be microwaved before we could eat it and absolutely dripping in grease. It tasted terrible. At around £22 for a kebab and very small fries we will Never again will we order from here.
Dropped in now for two weeks in a row for midweek meals with the family. Food is fantastic, lovely room and the staff are always happy to help. Keep up the fantastic customer focused theme! P. S the mega Kebab is definitely a two person event! Bruno has made this the place to eat!

Food tasted gritty, wasn't pleasing at all. Worst roast dinner I've ever had and definitely not worth the money. Got the largest size and at any proper carvery it would be a small. Didn't even bother trying half of it as it was screaming food poisoning. Never again.
Fantastic place, unrivalled architectural interest and atmosphere: plenty of history. Food is good but you are paying a premium for location and experience. I prefer it as a venue for a conspiratorial drink, but on the rare occasion of a meal here, we always enjoy it.
Nice cosy pub with very good prices. Eaten at the Eagle at least five times, each time the food has been good - quite like the nachos. My only criticism is that they dont play any background music.
Although the decoration is a little bit out dated and could do with modernising ( I think some work is currently being completed) the food was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of my order (I had the triple meat kebab and a portion of chips) and was even offered a doggy bag to take the remainder home. For the price I paid for it I definitely got more than my moneys worth. The food is good quality and the staff are very friendly and chatty. I'm looking forward to returning and testing out the new dessert menu!
