I gave 3 stars for the room becaus3 I've not stayed at the Mill as a guest. Location is brilliant. I went with a friend and sank some pints with a cheesy chips. The cheese was strong and chips crispy which is how I like them. The the portion a bit too small for the price though. Staff very friendly and welcoming and we got fireside sofas, although no fire actually burning but the atmosphere is all there. We went in the mid afternoon so it was quiet but I imagine it gets busy on weekends and evenings. Cheers

Loved this place! Fantastic Gluten free options - including safe options for those with Celiac! They have many options- including an incredible dessert (STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING!) the Fish and Chips are gluten free and amazing- just the right amount of “fluff” to make you forget it’s gluten free! Close to Westminster Cathedral (not the Abby) and a perfectly drawn proper pint for my hubby! Flora was a joy serving us!
Have tried twice to eat here. The first time there was a no walk-ins notice on the door, the second time was told we couldn't have a table and had to book. Understandable if its that busy and popular, but they have massive billboards advertising food. Maybe make booking before turning up clearer to?
A few months ago I was searching for a great restaurant for my birthday dinner. The Scran and Scallie did not disappoint! Everything was wonderful- the service, the drinks, the food, the ambiance. The haggis appetizer was especially delicious! Thank you for the unforgettable birthday experience!
Fancy place with great food selection. Nearing summer you could come here and have dinner and have a nice walk down to the Quay. Cannot think of a better place to bring your first date.

Fantastic food! Didn’t have a reservation and just walked up. We had the celeriac and apple soup along with the steak pie. The apple in the soup paired so well and its tartness danced across your tongue. They seem to be quite dog friendly.
I had a fantastic lunch here! Dave was wonderful and the staff was attentive and kind. The restaurant is very pretty and cozy. The food was amazing. I hope to return next time I'm back in Edinburgh!

Stayed here for two nights. It only has eleven rooms and each has its own allocated parking space in a small separate car park. Greeted by a very friendly and helpful guy at the reception. We had a room over looking the beer garden and river which was clean, comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast was great, one of the best full English breakfasts I've eaten, cooked to order with quality bacon and sausages. My wife had the smashed avocado which was also excellent. The two staff were also brilliant, friendly and efficient.

We had the most delicious meal this evening! The carrot soup was like nothing I’ve had before and the goat cheese beetroot pear salad divine. Our waitress was beyond lovely. Molly was super attentive, sweet and a fantastic server. We definitely highly recommend The Kings Arms and we will be back.
The setting along the Exe River and the history of the property lends a lot of charm. (It used to be a paper mill.) Best of all, the pub, which is connected, has good food and drink. In nice weather, you can even take a pint of cider or ale out to a patio area or picnic table along the river. Only a 15-minute walk from the cathedral and the Royal Albert museum. Highly recommended!

It was our last night in Edinburgh and we picked the Sheep Heid Inn for our last meal, it was a bit our of our way but worth the drive. The location feels like you’re in a rural village, the pub and local area has some great history. The service and the food was excellent, we were well looked after, by all the staff. If we were locals I would eat here all time, it was that good. I highly recommend a visit, it's well worth it, thanks guys big thumbs up 👍👍
A chap we met near Arthur’s Seat told us about the Sheep Heid Inn. Having made our way to the picturesque Duddingston Village where the Inn has nested for nearly 900 years, we were lucky enough to score a table there. For a main course my partner chose fish & fries and I chose slow roasted pork belly with scallops and vegetables. We both ordered local lagers. All the food was memorable, with perfect seasoning, accompaniments and sauces. We particularly valued the simplicity of presentation, which was unfussy. The whole experience was satisfying and mellow.
We had an excellent meal here. The Burgers are to die for, and the chocolate bomb was amazing. The King's Arms have definitely got things right here and we will be back. The staff are very attentive and do a great job. Well done to all involved!
I just wanted to share our great experience at Scran and Scallie with you. Thanks to Jim and Matthew, the service was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. On Friday, I tried the Haggis, Meat Pie, and Sticky Toffee Pudding for lunch, and then returned on Sunday for the Roast and scallops. Of course, I had to have the Pudding again - it's that good! The restaurant is in a lovely, peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. A big congratulations to the chef and the whole team for creating such a wonderful dining experience!
Proper pub with beer and lovely food. Great service, very accommodating and friendly, but not too much. Lovely mackerel rillette with perfect rye bread. Beef burger was small patty but lovely taste and salad with burger was lovely and fresh. Hope to go back soon
Fantastic food! The location is in a much more residential area which we loved. The food was so so good. We got some of the daily specials which blew us away. The fish and chips were perfect, the steak pie was really special, but the sticky toffee pudding topped it all! Would come back over and over!
Food and drink were excellent, but this review is mainly to sing the praises of the fish pie. Smoked haddock and salmon, along with shrimp and hard boiled eggs, covered with a perfectly mashed layer of potato, was incredible. The bit that did it for me was the inclusion of a little mustard to give it a little more range. Would eat it again in a heartbeat.
I was a little worried that the reviews I’d read about this place would be true for our visit, my friend booked the bottomless brunch as a birthday treat for me and we were not disappointed. The food was yummy, sausages on the burrito a little burnt but still delicious, steak was incredible, the special cocktail was delicious, the only thing that wasn’t great were the pancakes were a little bland and could’ve been fluffier but I’m just being picky now. The waitresses and waiters were brilliant the service was fast, we had 4 drinks within the first 40 minutes of being there and definitely had at least 13 rounds. The staff kept coming over and asking if we would like to order another drink I’d definitely go back. They were also really accommodating to my preference of no eggs I don’t have an allergy I just can’t eat them and they were happy enough to make sure they weren’t served on the plate. Can’t fault them really was a great experience.
The food is fantastic here! If you're looking for a great Roast, this is the spot in Exeter. As well as that, the staff genuinely seem to enjoy their work and it shows. Always very clean, good vibes and great service
Out of the way, but good to reach. Good atmosphere although the pictures on the website are a bit over the top. Good service and good quality food, although we found the proportions of Sunday roast to potato to be a bit off. Good selection of drinks and desserts. Parking at the rear can have you practice your parking skills when busy.
I have recently visited the Sheep Heid Inn for some food and drinks and I totally loved it. I ordered pizza with a side salad and it was delicious - well done to Chef Thomas as I happened to know that he prepared it! The pizza was beautiful and so tasty, lots of ingredients on it and very unique taste. Salad and drinks were also fabulous. Many thanks will be back!
We visited the Sheep Heid Inn for a family meal. The location of the Inn feels like you’re in a rural village, even though you’re a stone’s throw from Edinburgh. The pub itself is really old but very well kept inside and has an amazing traditional pub feel.
The service was excellent, friendly, welcoming and they made our children feel really welcome by providing colouring books for my youngest.
When the food came out it was fantastic. We had a three course dinner and an each meal that was brought out was excellent.
We were here on holiday and would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. If we lived nearer we would certainly come back.

The food, the service and the atmosphere in here is beyond stunning!
I can recommend the sticky chicken starters, the pan fried lamb rump, the sticky toffee was also beyond good.
The drinks are superb and the wine they got is really really good.

Our family held our wake at the The Kings Arms in Cardington yesterday and I have to say we were very pleased with the quality of the food and the lovely decor and area within the pub we were given and the lovely garden area where you kindly reserved tables for our family and friends.Nicole and Ashley were absolutely brilliant and tended to us very well throughout. I am not from Bedford and was lucky to find this place for such an important event.
I will definitely return to have a beer and a meal when we’re next in this area.
If you want anything similar I would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely incredible pub food, will be coming again, friendly and professional staff.
Gentleman behind bar very friendly. Brilliant service from Jack, welcomed us as soon as we walked in & seated us. Again very friendly persona. The Sunday beef was delicious & just fell off the bone.
A beautiful little pub with lovely servers and an amazing atmosphere and vibe. We found the pub accidentally while strolling through the neighborhood on our vacation and had a fun night!

We stopped in while in the area for a quick bite to eat for dinner. We were a party of 5 on a Thursday evening. They were not very busy at all. There was one guy behind the bar and he was really nice. We ordered and sat outside. The beers were really good and we got hamburgers and one of us got the fish and chips. The food was good and the prices were fair for what you get. We did not try the bathrooms or any of that, so we can't speak to that. The service was okay for what we were doing, but we did not need much. We got our order, enjoyed the beers, then left. So it was good for that. The area was great and easy to get to from our Airbnb in the area. Would recommend to those in the area.
Best part of the experience was the people! Steve the owner was behind the bar, and Bhargav the hotel manager were behind the bar. They were so kind and helpful. Made sure everything was good and even switched out the drink I didn’t like. Great food and drinks. I’m visiting from Canada and see the reviews about great food, but not sure where you the bad reviews on service came from…my experience was great!

Nice relaxing gastro pub. Their food is exceptionally good. The staff members were nice and the food came fairly quickly. It's a really nice pub. I would definitely use again.
What a fantastic pub. Great, well kept draught beer, a good selection of bottles of Belgian & German beer. And great food. The black pudding scotch egg is fantastic. Ticks all the boxes.
3rd time coming and I have to say I absolutely love this place. My partner and I decided to go for something a bit more glamorous to accompany our long awaited date night. Camembert to start was wonderful and the 28 day aged steak from the chefs special menu was fabulous. A little too filling for desert but that is no problem. Ashlyn was wonderful and made sure our needs were attended too. This establishment never fails to amaze me, food is great with a lot of diversity but also the staff really make the place.
We only ate at the pub and did not stay at the inn. Our servers Lucy and Ciara were superb. Very friendly and helpful. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere and is great for this reason alone. Our food was also good (thought not overly great) and our beers hit the spot. The skittles alley in the back was a highlight as well as the garden area and surrounding community (incl. the loch and old church). The Sheep's Heid will definitely be recommended to any friends visiting the Edinburgh area.
Top quality service from the staff, efficient, attentive and on point. Sadly the pork roasts for me and my friends were slightly over done which was disappointing but everything else was great.
I chose this place because I was starving and it was near the hotel, but also the most crowded looking, classic London place in the area. Lots of locals outside and inside was bustling, all smiling and happy!
They greeted me right away and I sat by the window in a bar type seat. Very nice.

Food was lovely, beef chili was delicious with a nice after bite.

We went there as a family with a baby and a 3 year old. The staff members were very kind, helpful and accommodating.
The food for the 3 year old was very nicely done and presented, complete with age appropriate cutlery. They also have a play area off the dining area complete with a great range of things to entertain young ones while we were waiting for food and getting ready to go.

I was in London for six days and tried six different fish and chips. Far away the best I ate. Far and away. The beer batter highlights the fish not the batter. My family and I were treated warmly when I brought them for dinner, and I was treated warmly when I came down every night for a pint. It is home away from home and I could not recommend more highly. The owner is hands on, the staff he’s chosen is welcoming, knowledgeable, and really good people to get to know if you have the time. I will never forget my time at The Duke of York. I wish Stephen and all the best and hope you are able to get a 10th of my experience should you be fortunate enough to go.

Breakfast was stone cold, mushrooms tasted 3 days old and no one to comment too. Avoid like the plague and wait till 8ambto get a decent brekkie elsewhere
By far the best food we had during our entire week visit to the city.
Great spot for lunch. You can make a meal with a few of their delicious starters. Excellent cocktails…(loved the chocolate espresso martini.)
The food was delicious as usual , me and my family went for a meal we had two savers meals which u can have 2 courses for 11.29 and , kids food is cheap and affordable , staff are nice and always make you laugh , sometimes they are fully booked but when you can be fit in make sure you check out the brownies 😊
As first-time visitors to Scotland, we approached our dining experience with curiosity. The cuisine generally impressed us with its preparation and appealing flavors. However, two dishes fell short of expectations. The Bone Marrow pie, while visually enticing and aromatic, lacked the robust taste we anticipated. The Crispy lamb shoulder, though enjoyable, left us wanting in terms of portion size and could have benefited from additional vegetable accompaniments. Despite these minor setbacks, our overall culinary journey was satisfactory.
It's worth mentioning that the bartender was exceptionally helpful in explaining the whisky flight options. For whisky enthusiasts, Scran would be a good choice.

Molly was a fantastic waitress, so nice to have someone spend time talking to you as well as serving. Meal was second to none. Mum was made to feel so special too on her 87th birthday. Thank you seems to little to say

It's OK. The food isn't bad at all but for a Hilton associated restaurant you would probably expect a bit better.
4pm Saturday afternoon , no one in the pub but the drum and bass was pumping loudly. Met a friend there and moved on quickly after one drink , only ones there. Dont mind drum and base but not at 4 on a warm Saturday afternoon. Perhaps I’m old ! Not my cup of tea at all.
After reading all of the reviews about the beef pie, we thought we should check this place out. We had scallops and the haggis for the starter, and it was delicious. When the pie came out for our mains, the presentation and smell was amazing, but after tasting it, we all agreed that it didn’t have enough flavour, seasoning and filling. Overall, service and presentation was good. But I expected the food to be amazing for the price. 2 starters, 4 mains and 3 drinks totalled to £205.
We stopped off at The Pen and Pencil on the way home for a small drink and food and we really enjoyed it.
We ordered the steak, eggs and hash brown for both of us and it came out in a timely manner and was cooked to our request.
I recommend here for some food and drinks and the service is great.

Perfect apart from the special £2.50 price for a starter or desert on a Sunday. As new customers we were NOT told about this deal and we ordered from the menu that was on the table. We looked at the desert after our meal and found the two menus on the table were different. Maybe if you take away all other menus and just leave the Sunday menu this would not have been an issue. The food and service were fantastic and we will return but will check the menu before ordering.
Amazing experience having dinner at the Rocket! I’ve only ever had drinks there so it was lovely to try their Sunday roast plus dessert and it did not disappoint! I came with my dog and they spoiled her and were so accommodating, I will be returning 100%

We've been going to the P and P for a few months now usually on a Tuesday to take part in the quiz and we love it. The atmosphere is great, the quiz itself is by far one of the best we've been too, and the food/drinks are reasonably priced and always delish. BUT the best part for us personally is the lovely customer service we always get from Niall whose pleasant, takes time to say hi to our pooch (we own a very nervous dog and although she often barks at other people when they come over, Niall always comes over in a calm manner which is much appreciated and really helps her in such a busy environment) and really just brightens up the place, so a massive thank you to Niall! 😀 We look forward to going every month to the P and P and would defo reccomend you visit if you read this review 😀

I went on Easter Sunday to celebrate my sons 16th birthday with a large group of 20 people.The pub has a separate large dining area that can cater for big groups so this was ideal.The Sunday Roast was amazing and was just great value.The Roast ranged from £15-£19 and to get this price in London with such good quality food made this celebration affordable.The atmosphere was lovely with very friendly & helpful staff.

Great little pub in the Marylebone neighborhood with what feels like a local crowd and good food. We were staying at The Landmark Hotel just up the road, and this was a great place to walk to when we wanted to get away from the hotel but get something quick after a long day.
We booked for a half way stop from our week away and well what can I say ?? it was amazing the food was 5 stars, everything was !!! My pork and scallops was as good as “The Ivy”. The other three family members were as happy as I was and we’re trying to workout when to come back. Only down side was poached pear was cold and no fork with dessert spoon ( I could have asked I know). Also my two dogs loved the place too.
Great brunch here, relaxed atmosphere, can book a table online! Drinks were all really nice and the food was good, the french toast in particular was delicious. Service from Niall and other staff members was fantastic, very friendly and grabbed some sausages and bowl of water for our dog. We’ll be back 👍
Very traditional British pub with one of the best roast dinners in Marylebone. @Josh makes a perfect cosmopolitan! Thank you, Josh. The other guys are very friendly and don’t skip a beat when it comes up catering to the people no matter how busy it is. It’s nice to see how they work together. That’s what makes the place so nice to visit. The only thing is that if you’re not a fun of noise you can be a slightly bothered by the constant loud-ish chatter around, which makes a pub British. Other than that, very very enjoyable with friends.

In summary, I had my birthday party here on Saturday. The staff were so kind, welcoming and charming, and they could not do enough for us. We were there from the afternoon until the evening, so we ended up having some food which we enjoyed very much.
Another reviewer said that their chicken burger was dry and I did not have that experience at all. And I'm someone that rarely orders chicken when I'm out because of the amount of times I've had bad experiences with dry, bland chicken. I am happy to report that the chicken in my burger was well-seasoned, moist and succulent, and you could tell the meat was of good quality. I think it might even have been thigh meat, it was that moist, which was a rare pleasure in a chicken burger where you normally get served a piece of breast (and breast can so easily dry out)! Not the case here. My husband had a pork belly dish which he found to be delicious, so much so that he returned the following day to sample their roast dinner.
My one note is that the draught beer was unpleasantly bitter and I could not finish either of the half pints I bought (and I opted for a different beer each time so it wasn't a question of my not liking the beer I'd chosen); maybe they need to have a look at their pumps or something. But otherwise, it was a PERFECT day.
And once again, I would like to reiterate that the staff were charming. The guy that helped me over the phone and via text when I made the booking was so helpful and communicated well. He kept me abreast of changes and was keen to ensure I was happy with the space I had been given; he even sent me a picture. And when we got there on the day, they were so personable and kind. They create a really special atmosphere, those staff, and they deserve a lot of credit for that.

I’ve been here a few times over the years for a Sunday Roast as they’re always very tasty. This time round, I had the lamb which was okay but really rather fatty and the gravy was a bit salty. Good portion of sides though, but to be expected with a roast costing
Really nice little pub off busy Edgware Road, a good find and friendly place for a spot of lunch. Service was excellent and we enjoyed our lunch very much.
Roast dinner at its best, good selection of meat of great quality. This is the best value for money roast in Acton.

Excellent spot for brunch. Delicious food and you can even get a cheeky cocktail. Enjoyed the full English but others breakfast dishes looked delicious too. See pictures. I'll definitely visit again if in Manchester.
Really nice venue, coffee and shake was good. My steak and eggs were cold and my mother's breakfast was also cold. We told our waitress and she brought my mum a fresh breakfast and took my food off the bill. So while the food was a bit of a let down the customer service saved it and I'd go back again just for that. I believe our server was called Ana, lovely person, always smiling and very attentive.

This pub has a very funky interior and exterior! Staff were friendly and attentive, clearing away empty glasses etc quickly. Good selection of beers and wine, didn’t try the food. Has a nice small beer garden.
Great value food with welcoming staff and a happy atmosphere. If I'm being fussy, the roasties were more like chunky chips than roast potatoes. But everything else was nicely cooked with good flavour, including roast turkey which was moist. And there's not many places where you can get a Sunday roast for under £11 any more.
Update: second visit. All of the above still applies. Particularly the friendly, helpful staff. Tonight I had steak though and, although the flavour was good, it was so tough I actually had to leave half of it. Everything else was good.

Dinner was good. It was very quiet for Christmas day, service was good and the ambience was so beautiful, we took the chance to snap a few pics! The only issue I had was that the garlic butter was burnt. Otherwise, great evening. Breakfast was also fabulous!

The main reason for marking down is due to the lack of facial covering enforcement on both staff and customers.
The menu was good and available to view online prior to visit, there were lots of meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan & gluten free options available.
The Hispi Cabbage was amazing, perfectly cooked and the Creamy Mustard Sauce was to die for. I would also really recommend the Carbonara Tagliatelle With Mushroom.
Unable to comment on meat/fish options as I'm vegetarian however the restaurant was quite busy for a Thursday evening.

Since refurb awful ambiance, uncomfortable seating, bright lighting, poor and unattentive service, and terrible food. Mediterranean platter looked and tasted as if the items came out if a tin.

After they changed the restaurant recently, this is one of the worst I have been in London. Straight from a restaurant with character to a characterless room with chairs and tables and bad service!!! Bad!!!! The food was tinned! Bad!!! I used to love this place - not anymore!!!!
