The arhitecture is stunning.A bonus is that children under 18 have free entrance on the roof and adults have a tax of 13€

Beautiful area to visit. The night we visited the Spanish Steps there was no police presence so hundreds of visitors were sitting respectfully on the stairs - apparently you normally are not permitted to sit on the stairs we were told. We took photos and did not sit. The fountain was beautiful and had roses floating in it which added to the beauty of seeing it lit up at night.

The building is currently empty and under renovation

A place with late-night restaurants, gelato, public transport. Spacious and well lit.
It feels like the end of the world. One side of the stairs was renovating, but other can be used to get to the beach.

This is indeed an absolute must see monument and a central hub in Rome, connecting several other mega historical spots. The monument itself is magnificent, one must see all sides of it to take in the beauty of this architecture. You can walk up the stairs up to the roof, from where the views are spectacular. You can see all the way up to the Colosseum! You could of course take a nice walk all the way up to the Colosseum from here, through Via dei Fori Imperiali along the Forum on both sides. And you could walk the opposite direction from Piazza Venezia towards the Fontana Di Trevi and all the way down along Via del corso to Piazza del popolo. Plenty to see all along the way and you should plan on at least half a day walking these areas. There is so much major history surroundings these areas and a lot to learn and take in!
Best place who like meat and good Prosecco

Very different building among its neighbours )

Majestic, amazing, great area. Everything here breathes great history. Wherever you look from this square, there is a deep, majestic history everywhere. Everything must be visited, about all those places it is necessary to read the information given by respected sources.
Dirty but quiet

Cool place to see. The buildings and structures are huge and can be best seen from the road crossing. There is a small part to stand and take photographs of the place and the palace. The balcony you can see is where there were political speaches given by politicians.
We visited to see this tomb and found others that were also noteworthy and worth a look and a nod. The tribute to Florence Nightingale was one of those.

Never heard of this spot before visiting but this should be at the top of the list for seeing when in Roma. The monument size and beauty will blow your mind. Highly recommend taking the elevator to the top of the monument where you can see the entire surrounding area including great views of the colosseum and Basillica
Nice white marble structure, but relatively modern. There are several ancient ruins nearby and this structure was built on some of those ancient ruins. Few chapters in History has been lost. Worth spending sometime.
A monument for soldiers of WWI

This plaza is ok to look at, but there is not much to do there. It has all the ingredients of a charming European square and somehow seems empty and soulless. The parking lot located dead center of the square does not help, I'm sure. The fountain in the center is nice but it's not enough to make you want to linger for more than 10-15 minutes.

. An impressive and huge building It's worth climbing all the stairs to the cafe and view the city from all sides, the enter free Waiting in the line just for a few minutes. You can go up to the roof of the building in the elevator for another 10 euros for an amazing view.

Porta Maggiore stands at the eastern end of the historic center, along the Via Emilia in the direction of San Lazzaro , at the point where it changes its name from Strada Maggiore to Via Mazzini, at the intersection with the current viali di Circonvallazione . Built for the first time in the second half of the 13th century , made of brick , for centuries it was the main gate of Bologna.

Two adjoining squares in the heart of the city, water splashing in the magnificent Neptune Fountain, which gives Piazza del Nettuno its name. Piazza Maggiore is located right in the centre of the city and serves as an important historical place.Fantastic vibe and atmosphere

Well, it's not THAT ugly... it's just weird. It's still part of Milan's skyline and a monument of the city but when you're on the street below it, it's dirty and lonely (even though there is a metro station entrance near it). It's only worth seeing it from a far...unless they do another "design week" event like 2 years ago...

Amazing architecture from amazing cathedral. The view of one from the other is thought provoking. also worth noting that there is a very handy car park just beneath the torre velasca. Park here to visit the cathedral.
This is a beautiful church, and also boosts several families paintings in addition to being the burial place of Michaelangelo and Galileo. Lovely grounds.

I was stunned to see how the city was filthy with garbage strewn all over, not well maintained buildings, which didn't feel very safe for visitors. The museum was the only thing in this city we wanted to see. It wasn't big, but had some good things to look at. It gave us a vision of what Pompeii looked with these artifacts before they were relocated to this museum.

The name and the location in the city appear promising, but this place looks rather sad in real life. At least the day I've seen it. It seemed as if it was abandoned, there was absolutely no one around, trash all over the place (nothing too unexpected in Naples) and a really poor looking playground.
In the Piazza's defense, it was during the daytime, when most of the squares are more or less empty. Nonetheless it seemed underwhelming. Piazza Plebiscito is definitely more recommendable.

Other reviewers expected to see the Roman theater but apparently they didn't know the history of the area. It's interesting to see how residence area was built or evolved from a abandoned Roman theater as you can see from the photos. You will see a lot of locals in the area.

Very interesting building. One can clearly see it's post modernize design.
Beautiful monument at the edge of a cliff. There are some stairs to go down. I like to go there running and get to the ocean, the way back up is a really nice exercise.
The view from the top is amazing. And, I've heard that in a really clear day you can see Croatia (not sure about this)
Wonderful view to the ocean from this spot!
Great building. Seems a bit odd along the skyline of Milan but still is admirable. Does look a bit lik it's falling apart, but must be appreciated in the context of its architectural importance for post-modernism in Italy and the spread of it.
Great walk down to the beach

imponente la torre civica
Ornate tomb within the cathedral. Three figures represent the three arts Michaelangelo practiced - sculpture, painting and architecture.
