Great texture. Wan tan was delicious. Enjoyed the simple lunch.
The wanton mee is nice! I love the sauce used for the wanton. Superb! It's very flavourful!

Chicken feet cooked to perfection! The wantons be it fried or soup is plump and juicy! Yums!
all the food is delicious, i love the dry one the most, all the wonton is superb, the uncle is very nice too. the fried wonton is worth to try (my dish in pic cost 10 MYR)
Very delicious, the sour chili tastes just right. Not too sour , Pork dumplings with sesame oil🍜🫕🥟🥤⭐😋👍🙏
Nice lady boss. Both soup and dry wantan mee are cheap and delicious. Fried wantans are great too!
Noodles were just okay, but the wonton is very good..shrimp in the wonton is plump and juicy..its so good that i had to order another bowl..
The Noodle stall serves wanton noodle, chicken noodle, fishball noodle, and dumplings noodle. Early of morning the chef has prepared and ready to serve the noodle dishes to customers in the quality taste.
I must say it's unique at its own but not my type of WanTan noodles.

It has Hong Kong style yet mixed with own thick mushroom sauce.

Noodles was slightly overcooked and wasn't that springy. I wish the charsiew could be slightly more instead of 2 pieces.

Sauce was okok for me and I added soy sauce into it to make it better. The soy sauce they put own the table must be of good quality. It tasted different and nice.

The WanTan size was good, with amount of meats and prawn.

Price was RM7.50 for medium.
The wanton mee is so good. Dark sauce accompanied with deep fried pork lard. Fine springy noodles without alkaline taste. Unsure what to get? You’ll never go wrong with their showstopping tasty wanton and the melt in your mouth chicken feet.
Old school style wanton mee. Milo super thick also and affordable.
Delicious, fast and friendly service. Much better food quality than the neighbouring restaurant serving the same food. Ordered the octopus dish twice because it was so good and perfectly cooked.

Ordered take away for only 1 kosong soup pan mee wasted 30+ mins wait, while there are 6 tables served and eating, 20 mins I did remind for it, after that all the customers are left, chairs are put on table, I asked again the crew and he asked me back what I ordered, it was just 1 kosong soup pan mee! Then only they serve me in 3 mins, they better deliver extra food like roasted bread slice or drink for my take away but they didn't, so disappointed!

I hope the manager will take this seriously cause the food isn't that bad for this area, but the service arrangement definitely needs improvement or I couldn't consider coming again.🥹
Last eaten there was like 20+ years ago, therefore cannot compare whether it taste better or worst now. Reached there on a weekday (Tuesday) at about 12.10pm and the shop was only 20% occupied. Food was served very quickly. I can say it was way below my expectations and the noodle was soggy and sticky. But I kind of like the char siew as it has the smoky (peaty) taste. It’s RM10 for a small Char Siew Wanton. 20 mins later when I left, it was even emptier.
I visited this restaurant after watching the abang adik movie.

Today I visited the shop and met the shop owner. I like this place so much.

1. The shop is nice and a good place to eat.
2. The noodle and char Siew is super yummy.
3. The business owners and staff are very friendly.
4. The customer there is a good crowd. They provide a peaceful place to their customers to enjoy their meal.

I will revisit this shop again.

It is just a normal hor fun. The noodle supplier likely supply the same standard to the whole ipoh and beyond. We ordered grab food and it is the same good hor fun noodle.

Octopus is considered fresh but not something worthy of a detour.

Minus the octopus, the hor fun is easily available elsewhere.

If there is a long queue, skip and go elsewhere. Otherwise it is worth a visit.
The authentic Ipoh Tze char is so good that we order another upsize and 2nd order for the squid. Highly recommend their Yue Guang Horfan
Although there’s a queue when we arrive at 9pm, we only waited about 20mins to be served. Serving time was quick. Baby octopus was so good. Wat Tan Hor fish noodle - gravy is amazing with wokhei, but I think it’s better with horfun or noodles. Bean sprout sauce was delicious. The chicken wing is marinated just right. My first time here and it is definitely not overrated. Worth the queuing time.

This Ipoh institution is no secret, always bustling with hungry people and a queue to match. But trust me, it's worth the wait! The food is both delicious and cheaps (a winning combo!), and the service is top-notch.

We dove into the iconic fried kuey teow with a raw egg, and it was pure magic – perfectly cooked noodles, smoky flavor, and that gooey yolk adding richness. And of course, the star of the show – the baby octopus! Tender, flavorful, and so addictive, we were reaching for more even before the last bite.

Even during peak hours, the cooking time was surprisingly fast. They've got this crowd-handling thing down to a science! No wonder it's one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Ipoh.

So, if you're looking for a delicious and efficient Ipoh experience, this restaurant is a must-try. Just be sure to bring your appetite and maybe a little patience for the queue. It's totally worth it!
Wanton noodle was superb. Coffee was great
Patronized by mainly locals when I was there.

Really liked the texture of the noodles. Tried both the black sauce and white noodles - each has its merits. Set meal was absolutely worth it.

Really enjoyed the meal.
During our 3d2n Ipoh trip, we visited Tuck Kee twice. We are after baby octopus. They don’t serve baby octopus on Monday. So we went on Tuesday again.

Both visits were in queue of around 15mins. That was because we went at 5:30pm which was ahead of usual peak dinner time. We saw the queue was at least twice longer when we were leaving the restaurant around 6:20pm.

They are famous for their Cantonese cuisine - Tze Char. Noodles, Mee hon and kuey Teow. We done our survey and ordered all the popular dishes. We were satisfied with:
1) baby octopus
2) fried Mee hon (goes very well with their chilli)
3) fried yee mien(noodles)
4) fried kuey teow with raw egg
5) fried hokkien noodles
6) meat balls
7) bean curd
8) chicken feet
9) bean sprouts

The portion was quite moderate and the price was reasonable. Despite of the long queue, the dishes were served 5-10minutes after we were seated. Real fast!! For reasonable price, it have to be fast turnover. Help them by helping ourselves to maintain the same quality and price :)
A delicious wanton mee at Nusa Bestari area.
Servings or portions are also very generous.
Tastes suitable to me. The noodles and wanton came together at the right time.
A lot of parking spaces and it is important to customers.
Cheap and good wanton noodles. I like the wanton a lot. Full of meat and prawns inside. The fishball was also nice. Noodles wise texture was good but I personally don't like the sauce probably I am not a sauce type of person. Very friendly and nice owner.

Good place for eating penang local and traditional food, such as Char Kwe Tiao, Fried Rice and Vermicelli. If you are coming earlier in the morning you can still get the various of dimsum. Good price also for Michelin restaurant. Located in the Campbell Street, George Town, Penang.

Environment: Clean place. (4/5)
Food: Western and local food. Had Ban Mee soup, Kopi-c Kosong Ice. Heard that the Polo bun is good but finished for the day. (4/5)
Service: Good. (4/5)
Parking: Street parking. (3/5)
When: Lunch.
A cheap and cheerful place that’s bustling with locals. I enjoyed the moonlight hor fun though the low shu fun was much better.

I came on a Tuesday at 7pm and while the place was packed, we were seated quite quickly and received our food pretty fast. The octopus was sold out by the time we wanted to order, but the beansprouts, an Ipoh specialty were wonderful.
Wantan is well filled and taste nice. Noodles is thin with acceptable texture. Taste wise is at average side. Standard portion.
Service so so. A lady shown me unfriendly face when I didn't order drink and other side dish.
There is Ac inside the restaurant.
Parking could be an issue during peak hours.
Tuck Kee noodle house in town area.
Famous with their Yuet Kong Hor. Superb yummy. Every noodles fried with fresh ingredients. Fast services and food served hot.
During weekend super pack. Come early to avoid no seats.
Famous Hokkien Mee too. The noodles fried with crispy porky. Makes the noodle smells good and so tasty.
Each noodles charge with reasobale price.

They offer 3 options sauce for the noodle: white, red, black. We tried the white (original and red sauce), the red and white is pretty similar. The lady gave us the black sauce for us to try as well so we mix with the original one. The black one have a bit of sweet hint.

The noodle texture is thin with a light chewy experience (I like it) but the flavour not strong enough to my preference. Overall is good.

I also ordered:
- chicken feet (3/5) pretty normal, no much flavour
- suikiaw soup (3/5) also pretty normal, almost no different with their wonton
- soya milk with grass jelly ok ok only

I never saw this place on internet, we found it when we drive there. The place looks nicely decorated, vintage feel. They served nyonya food and they provide dinner set menu which include drinks and ice cream. Well the portion of main food from set is a bit small but the normal one is way too big, you can refer to my picture. I think the food overall was ok, the chicken chop is full with ginger paste I guess, taste good. The price is worth with the food, thank you~
The meal's highlight was undoubtedly the Wanton Mee itself, which comes in two options: Black (traditional) or White (generally available). I opted for the Black version, and it was a delightful choice. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce had a rich, savoury flavour that complemented the noodles beautifully. The portion size, especially the small, was quite generous and filling for the majority of diners. However, not everything on the menu lived up to expectations. I decided to try the Braised Chicken Leg; unfortunately, it was a letdown. The chicken was not well marinated, lacking the depth of flavour I was hoping for, and it left me wanting more in terms of taste. The dumpling soup was another item on the menu, and while it was decent, it didn't stand out. It had a reasonably average taste, and I hoped for a more memorable dumpling experience. Lastly, I ordered a Milo drink to accompany my meal, and it was somewhat subpar. It lacked the richness and creaminess you would typically expect from a Milo drink.

Disappointed with their mooncake. They had failed the quality control on their moon cake. Both the egg yolks of the Lotus Paste Mooncake and ShangHai Mooncake were not at the centre of the mooncake, which mean half of the mooncake has zero egg yolk and the other half has the whole egg yolk. The white lotus paste was slightly too sweet for us but good thing is it was oily and smooth in texture.

It was my first time tried this mee sotong during my genting dream cruise trip recently. Walking distance from the port to here. Just ok, nothing impressive, not spicy, more to sweet.
The “white+red” sauce was quite good! I especially like the wonton, which should have blended in some dried fish powder. The 红油 was a bit too vinegarish to my taste, but it’s good after all.

Another little surprise was this kinda traditional noodles place is strongly air conditioned, no sweating at all.

Old school kopitiam in Bintang area in KL. Came here at mid-day for brunch. Luckily, less crowd and hence we got a table and almost no waiting time.

Staff is kind and helped set up a table for us. We ordered the following -

1) Pork ball noodle - Apparently, the star of this kopitiam and my first time trying this dish. Haven’t found a similar equivalent in Singapore. Uncle prepared the dish fresh - all ingredients were crunchy and great bite. Not overly spicy, nice noodles. Contains minced pork, sliced pork, spring onions, shallots. Pork balls were soft and bouncy. Robust soup.

2) Wat Dan hor - A rendition of Ipoh Hor fun, with prawns and fishcake. Nice soft and soothing. Noodles were nice. Add chilli to spice up the dish.

3) Kopi-c - nice cuppa coffee.

Shiok!
One of the rare find for traditional wanton mee. It’s is just next to Park Royal Hotel Kuala Lumpur in case you want to know where it is. Walking distance from Bukit Bintang MRT.

Food taste: 8.8/10 (ordered dry wanton mee and curry chicken, I prefer the original dry wanton mee vs curry chicken wanton mee. The char siew has the ‘smoke’ taste, love it. The vegetable is really fresh and the noodle is very nice as you can see it’s shape is solid which shows good quality).
Food portion: 8.6/10 because the portion is just right for me (not a big eater).
Service: 8.7/10
Environment: 7.2/10 (the furnitures is quite old)
Price: Affordable for daily

Overall, this place is well known and true to its reputation. If I stay nearby I’d go visit often. Recommended place to eat.

This is a popular dim sum place in the morning. We are not hungry hence ordered Yin Yeong 鸳鸯, fish ball dumpling soup and egg tart. The mixed noodle is good, 夠火喉。Egg Tart has dried and thick crust with space ship oval shape, taste is underwhelming.
Well worth the queue during a Sunday. The mee is freshly fried with good wok hei.

Don’t be disalarmed by the red colored noodles. Every bite with the sotong is so good.

Pair it with their coconut shake for a truly satisfying meal 😋
Tasty Chinese noodley goodness now with high-powered air-conditioning!

Handmade fish balls and dumplings and grumpy staff squeezing between tables for the full Chinese experience.

Get a pot of Chinese tea and top it up endlessly on your own, and polish off all that good food with moon cake. They'll even cut it up for you.

Portion size is decent and pricing is most reasonable. Parking is tough since it's right smack in the middle of George Town.
Came here to try the famous mee sotong. The squid flavor is very intense. You pay 6 MYR without the sauce or 8 MYR with it. The place next door sells the coconut shakes which is a must to balance the dish.
Average coffee shop. Ample amount of food. I only tried the Hakka mee so far. RM9 with soup, not a bad deal, adding to the fact that this is the first I’ve seen that has pork balls. Taste was just okay. Tasted a lot better ones.

Colleague ordered wantan mee. They ran out of char Siew but still charged the full price. Just bear in mind.

Shall update review when I’ve tried their other dishes.

This was an excellent place to have breakfast for little money. They have a wide variety of Dim sum to choose from and I had a great time selecting different ones to try.

My wife got a rice porridge soup that she really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and explained everything to us neophytes if Chinese cuisine.

So why the low rating?
Because I almost got food poisoning.

At their suggestion I got a noodle dish with chicken in it and when it came the chicken wasn't fully cooked. I explained to them that I couldn't eat anymore after discovering this but they still charged me for the food

Mistakes happen, I understand. But why should I pay for your mistake? Almost all the food was still in the plate because once I uncovered that piece of uncooked meat I lost my appetite completely.

If not for the partially cooked meat and poor handling of the situation, I would have easily given them 4s & 5s across the board.

Below average standard drinks served.price of drinks normal like any coffee shops nearby
This was a good experience. Very authentic coffee shop. The noodles had a nice texture. Mushrooms are an absolute must - big and plumpy. Chicken feet was good too. But the wan tan itself was very small and the char siew a little bland. Portioning was fair for the price. Overall a good experience😋
Nice to try the viral food.
But not really suitable to my taste.

The sambal is quite similar with nasi lemak in malay and i like it.

You have to also order the coconut shake, it’s very good 🤍

The mee sotong was good and probably Penang’s best one. You can’t really customize your orders because its cooked in bulk. RM6 for normal Mee Sotong and RM8 for extra squid. The mee does stain your teeth so you got to be careful. Long queue on the weekdays especially office rest hour, they need to pray on 1-2 PM every Friday so its expected that its closed during that hour.

Great local breakfast that has dim sum but I would recommend you skip that. Order the different ala cart noodle and soup dishes and you won’t regret it.
I went there for the sake of trying viral food in Malaysia.
Verdict : Biasa saja. Just okay.
Food : okay a bit salty and spicy (Ayam Mdc is extremely spicy for me so you can estimate my level of spicyness)
Service : Went there at 630pm not many customers
Atmosphere : Quiet dark not enough lighting. Open air food court. There are other stalls too
Hands down to the best pan mee I’ve ever tasted after trying so many other pan mee. It’s my childhood pan mee I’ve eaten for 30 years and it’s still taste sooo good! Their soup and chilly is the best. I also love the mixed pork porridge which is so smooth.

They have upgraded to a fully air conditioned restaurant and it’s expected to wait during lunch time especially on the weekend. The wait time varies from time to time depending on how busy is their business. But the food they served is definitely worth the wait. All their stir fried noodles, rice, hor fun are full of 'wok hei' which is hard to find in Penang nowadays and their steamed white chicken are definitely one of my favorite. Other than that if you are lucky you might be able to see some egg cake left on the counter during lunch time. They do have a menu on what they are serving so be sure to ask for it if you need more choices.
Been here many times. Always goes for the pork ball noodles. One of the best. There are other stalls too...seems good. Will try in next visit

2 reasons why you should be here.
1.Wat tan hor.
2.Wat tan hor.
My goto for this type of flat type noodles. The baldy cook ticks all checklist.
Wok hei got.
Noodles r not sticking each other.
The sauce is creamy n taste divine. N here is the kicker..the prawns is fresh, succlent n sweet which many of tis stalls fails badly in tis.
You ppl need to try tis plus tis shop open view of main road is scenic.

A hidden gem that has been serving excellent traditional cuisine for decades, although it remained relatively unknown to tourists until it received recognition from Michelin. Their noodles are prepared in the traditional way, offering a simple yet authentic taste. One dish that stands out is the 鸿图面 (Egg Soup base with crispy noodles), which is truly unique and not found elsewhere. Additionally, their white sliced chicken surpasses those in Ipoh, making it a must-try. Other dishes like Ying Yong (Stir Fried Rice Noodle & Vermicelli with gravy), egg tarts are equally delightful. What sets this restaurant apart is its beautifully preserved prewar shophouse with a central courtyard, offering a captivating experience for architecture enthusiasts.

Famous Pork Noodle in Pudu, need to wait one hour. Pork intestines, minced pork, sliced pork, pork lards, Chinese cabbage (not much people use this) and pork blood cubes :). One of the best pork noodle in Klang Valley but challenge is to wait, especially Pudu got so many good food. Their YongTauFoo ok too.
We came here after seeing a video posted by Daniel Dines on Instagram. Since he mentioned that the place has been operating for a hundred years. We got here at 930am and ordered the Wanton Noodles with Char Siew and another wanton noodles with braised mushrooms.

We had some potato curry on the side as well.

There were only 4 people working at the time, the owner, his staff, an older gentleman and I'm assuming his grand mother. The restaurant was full ish when we got there. Food took 40 minutes to arrive.

The food in general was alright, But definitely not worth the 40 minute wait. The curry sauce was quite flavourful. But that was about it, I think if you are craving wantan mee and you're nearby, you can drop by. But not worth going all the way there to try it.

Stayed in an AirBnb nearby, and craving for wanton mee.
Place was crowded.
Noodles are decent.
Chili in noodle is not spicy, ask for more chili but still not spicy after i added.
Chicken feet is good.
Normal wanton are good!
Fried wanton can be better though..
Mala wanton is disappointing coz the seasoning on it was not spicy or 'ma' at all.

Service was very good, but a weird incident chnaged my mind. An order by table beside us is served to us. We told the staff that its not ours, he went back and another female staff insisted that we ordered and place it on our table.
It was very awkward. Luckily, the table beside called out and said its theirs.

Nonetheless, I wont be back as the food is not to my liking.
Came to this stall after so long being in our bucket list. 😂
So overall, we ordered 2x mee goreng sotong, 1 mee rebut sotong and 1 kuey teow goreng sotong. The taste?
Mee goreng sotong 10/10 (just perfect!)
Kuey teow goreng sotong 8/10 (a bit dry compared to mee)
Mee rebus sotong 6/10 (just so-so, edible but not extravagant)
Overall rating is 9/10 good food and good customer service.
And we ordered coconut shake + kelapa sarbat for drinks. Both were top notch 9/10.

food ok, fair price, ok environment, comes with plenty of choices for food
Quite complete variety in the Kopitiam. Pork ball noodle is recommended. Pan Mee soup is good too with springy noodles.
Warm Herbal tea great.
Thai krapow Moo with rice exceptionally great have "wok Hei" when taste it. And the serving with 5star plate and serve.
Night only have Bakuteh and Thai fried style.
But not crowded also cause me 30mins waiting time.

NON-HALAL
Plenty parking space
Environment not so clean.
Price Thai Krapow Moo RM 12,
Herbal Tea RM 2.3

Not too busy on an early Sunday morning around 7.15am where not many eating places are opened, we ate here.
Only two stalls opened at this early hour. We ordered the YTF & CKT. Both were good & large portion. Prices reasonable. The plate of CKT was full of wok hei & had lap cheong, fish cake, siham, & two prawns - considered generous in today’s rising prices. At Rm8 I find it good value. The ytf were huge and at Rm1.70 was good value & importantly tasted good. Highly recommended 👍🏻
Looking for old schooled kind of wanton mee, this is the place to be. Haven't been this place for ages as recently only found out that this shop is still open. The wanton noodles are still springy as those days. Though the dry style sauce was slightly different, it was the bitter kind and tasty. The char siew was the traditional kind and the wantons soup was rather flavourful. One of the best wanton that I ever tasted. The chicken curry was the mild type and very 'chinese style' which also taste good. The chicken feet cooked with mushrooms are popular here, shouldn't be missed. Love the local coffee here, do give it a try!

Do check out this pork noodle stall if you're still strolling around Pudu hunting for food. Why no actual "noodle-in-the-bowl" photo, you may ask. Well, you don't need one. What you see is what you get, and more. Perfect combination of all ingredients - fresh, tasty and most importantly, authentic!
If you are looking for the best Panmee, this is it. You can find the best here. The noodle is very nice, solid shape and the soup is rich. Must try!

Soup base: 9.5/10
Portion: 8/10
Noodle: 9.5/10 (they made it themselves)
Minced meat: 9/10

Highly recommended!
