Went to find a specific hair product, that OF COURSE, HAD to be locked inside the glass cabinet. The exact product that I was searching for wasn't stocked, even though other products of that brand were. I ended up buying a few items that I needed and waited in a line that was over twenty five minutes long. While waiting, a rude customer was yelling at the cashier about something, further delaying the check out process for everyone. Doesn't that seem to happen a lot while waiting to pay for merchandise? I finally got to a cashier that was pleasant, efficient, friendly and helpful. I don't remember her name, but she made my checkout a nice experience and we both were able to put smiles on each other's faces.

All of the pharmacists I’ve met here are lovely, patient and caring. Really appreciate that this is my store. Always get good communication about when prescriptions are in, how long I’ll have to wait, etc.

Major staffing or efficiency problems have been going on for years. Two years ago, I wrote a review that noted that you needed to come by after 9 or 10 p.m. to avoid a 30 minute (or longer wait. Things may have gotten worse, based upon an attempt to pickup up prescriptions from this location (100 W. Ontario) tonight. Tried at about 9:40 and there were four cars waiting. Came back at about 10 and their were five. The side of the building from the window back will only accommodate 5 cars, so I would have either would either have to waited around the corner of the building or on the other side of the aisle, to allow traffic to move between Sprouts and Walgreens. The line moves really slowly. It's probably 5-10 minutes per car. Last week, I came in at about midnight and watched the one staff member on the phone for about 20 minutes without even acknowledging me. When another car pulled in behind me, I finally hit the call button to try to get some help. (He could see me the whole time.) When you finally get to the window, the staff do seem professional. Walgreens just seems really greedy to not add one more staff member. After about 10:30 the staffing drops down further. All of this is despite Blue Shield and other insurers now allowing you to pickup 90 days worth of meds at a time, so probably allot of people don't have to come in nearly as often. Have attempted to take up Walgreen's offer to consolidate my prescriptions, so I don't have to come in multiple times in a month. It never worked. You also are pretty much forced to use the drive through despite the 24-hour status. When the days shift goes home (about 3 staff), the remaining pharmacy staff roll down the security gates to the pharmacy counter indoor, all or part way. I've read the reviews here and at the other major review page and I am far from alone in experiencing very, very slow service here.

The pharmacist and pharmacy staff are unprofessional and compassionless. If prescriptions are not covered by insurance or out of stock, maybe they should contact the customer and not assume what we want to do. The phone system is ridiculous!

Stood at the pick-up far a long time. Four people working. Not a one said they’d be with me. After a long time, I asked If I needed to go through the drive thru? An employee got real rude with me telling me they were busy and that I wasn’t their only patient. My family is changing pharmacies. This was the worse one I have ever dealt with anyway.

They are unprofessional, but that isn’t very surprising. Good luck getting pass the dope fiends that loiter in front of the premises. Need a prescription and need to speak to someone? That won’t happen. Why? Because none of them actually want to do their job. Again, NOT SURPRISING. I sat with my doctor while she was on hold for 45 minutes to make sure my prescription was in. We never spoke with someone. Piece of advice, it’s EXACTLY what you would expect, and you’re better off going to a pharmacy with a different set of DNA.

By far the worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. Their staff is extremely rude and unknowledgeable. They all tell you something different, and hang up on you when you ask about certain repetitive issues. The pharmacist is no better and does nothing to correct them. When you complain about a staff member hanging up on you mid question they ask if there is a CVS closer for you to use.

I ordered snacks for delivery, and not even 5 mins after i submit the order it says delivery scheduled for tomorrow, so i just want to cancel it. The manager named Taylor was very rude and don't know how to talk to people when there is problem within their system. All he can say is that "there's nothing he can do, and he cannot help me." He was so proud about himself telling me that he's fast and order is ready for pick up for the rider to be delivered so they cannot do anything about it even if they rescheduled it for tomorrow.

Poor communication. They said my prescriptions would be ready in 24 hours, when I called days later to inquire why they hadn’t been filled, the blame was placed back on me because apparently you need to call twice for a refill if you’re having your meds transferred from a different pharmacy. Why would I call to have them transferred and ask when they would be ready to pick up, if I don’t want them filled? Ridiculous! Should offer more care and consideration to customers. Very disappointed.

THIS PLACE IS A MESS I PLACED AN ORDER AND TODAY WHILE I WAS AT WORK AT 951 AM GOT A EMAIL SAYING I PICKED UP MY ORDER LIKE REALLY. STAFF PROBABLY TOOK MY STUFF. DONT GO HERE MAD GHETTO AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I CALLED THERE AFTER I GOT THE EMAIL SOMEONE ANSWERED BLEW IN THE PHONE AND HUNG UP. EVEN CUSTOMER RELATIONS CALLED AND NOTHING WAS DONE IN THE STORE. THEY HAD TO REFUND MY ORDER OVER THE PHONE. HOPE WHO EVER TOOK IT CHOKES ON IT.

Little confused here CVS. I use your pharmacy because you advertise yourself as the only 24 hour pharmacy in town. So when I drove across town to see this, makes me wonder why you don’t update your Google listing of hours, or for that matter, your website. Get your staffing issues under control, and be reliable for the consumers who rely you.

Hope you guys go into debt. Most unhelpful pharmacy employees ever. They never know what they’re talking about and will lie to you. Also fix the automated phone system bc it’s near impossible to get to an actual person and wants you to download the app so badly. And maybe you should tell us when we have no refills left on a prescription and need to get it re-prescribed instead of us finding out when we are out of the medication. I’ve had problems with CVS for years and they never fix anything.

Had a really bad experience at this pharmacy today. They closed Saturday and Sunday, and we didn't, so my daughter's doctor sent the prescription there. By the time we got there, we found out it was closed at 11:00 AM, the doctor's office was already closed too, so we couldn't call them. So now my 3 year old daughter is without her prescription for the entire weekend because the CVS at other locations "can't pull up the prescription."

I waited on the phone for pharmacy for over 40 mins. Someone picked up the phone and put me back in the queue and they picked up again but must have put me on hold because no one answered for 15 minutes then they hung up on me. I just wanted to know if my prescription was there. I put my prescription a week ago. They said to pick up in an hr. However I went back a few days later. And they said they are out of stock. They did ask if I wanted them to try to order it for me. I said yes. They said it would be here the next day. So I decided to call the following day to make sure I didn't have to drive over there again if it wasn't ready. So much for communication.

Had a terrible experience here with the pharmacy manager, Lauryn Lucas. Rolled her eyes at me and was basically yelling at me in the store over an issue with the insurance that she wouldn’t help me solve. She was also just as rude over the phone before I came to the store in person. Never had such bad customer service in my life at any pharmacy 😭 this lady was irate over a small issue with the insurance, which she would not help me solve or even point me in the direction of how to get it solved. Her attitude is not the kind that you want when dealing with medications and to be honest, I don’t think she should be working in customer service at all.

Their website and front door says they’re open until 10p. I rushed to this location and made it to the front door st 945p. The front door was locked and no one would open it despite otherwise being listed as open until 10. Really poor business to be advertised as open but closing 15+ minutes early by locking the door

My family has been going to Vanco for over 30 years . They have ALWAYS been helpful and have gone out of their way MANY times to help us .
They do not discriminate. I am hard of hearing and the pharmacist always remembers to look at me when talking to me .
When I have to make a phone call to them , they are respectful and have no problem clarifying when I don’t understand something .
My family appreciates Vanco and thanks them at every visit for their service . They are truly our friendly neighborhood pharmacy . The best in town !

The pharmacist in consulting asked me what I came to pick up, I said birth control and began spelling out the first few letters of the type I get because I was unsure how it showed in the system and he rudely said “we don’t need to get into a spelling contest. I am a pharmacist and I know what that is”…. A simple “I think I got it” would’ve been enough. If you don’t like your job Mr pharmacist…pls find another. Your attitude is not appreciated and the community deserves better.

This pharmacy is very difficult to get on the phone even for medical professionals. They are not diligent about follow up. Wait times in the line can be 30 minutes or longer during peak hours. Notifications of medications being ready are sent only rarely. I assume notifications are automated, so such inconsistencies are a mystery. This place is disorganized and under staffed.

I called to check on a prescription and they said their not contracted with my drug insurance company. I called my drug company and they verified that they were contracted with Walgreens. Now we've both been on hold with Walgreens for 45 minutes and then Walgreens told my drug company that they didn't tell me that they weren't contracted with my drug company. So now they've called me a liar. In the end they put us both on hold and then hung up on us. I will never again step foot in Walgreens.

Capsule is not only convenient due to the delivery options and texting communications, but the pharmacists and customer service teams seem to genuinely care about their customers. They consistently go above and beyond to keep me informed, work with me during shortages, and make sure my doctors and I know if anything is needed to solve any issues that arise with insurance. I will never use a "traditional" pharmacy again.

Poor nightshift customer service, Don't keep shelves stocked and when asking about a product look at you crazy and claim all out instead of going to look. They are always closing the store and pharmacy early because of short staffing, says the sign. The store is nice and we have multiple apartment complexes of 100s of people just across the street and multiple hotels surrounding this CVS, but it’s so annoying to walk over here and 8 times out of 10, I can’t pick up my scripts or stop in for anything.

I know this Walgreens gets a lot of negative reviews. However, there is one employee that deserves to get recognized. His name is Dylan (hope I correctly spelled his name). He is always helpful, courteous and friendly. I have been having problems getting my prescriptions refilled. Other employees have given me the runaround. Dylan took the time to make calls and found out what the problem was. Thank you Dylan! Walgreens is lucky to have such a dedicated employee.

Lack of professionalism. They are helpful, but a little bias to certain customer’s, who are honestly coming into the store to buy products. I can understand they have shop lifters but not everyone that comes in looking to do something stupid. I wish I can walk in CVS and feel comfortable shopping without feeling afraid. That’s a bad feeling. Especially, when you are a hardworking woman who has to shop in these neighborhood stores.
They have police officers, security cameras, security officers. Those individuals that steal make it horrible for the people that are law bidding citizens. Oh my goodness. My CVS has been out of my medication for about 5 weeks and they did a search and saw the Waldon Drive had it in stock. They said to call them and so I did. I've NEVER had a pharmacist be so rude over the phone. After explaining my situation to her, she coped the rudest attitude and said that if she has it, she's keeping it "in case her patients need it." I understand when a medication is hard to get, but don't talk down to a patient, and yes a patient of her company.

I go to this Walgreens many many times, is so close to my house, the staff are usually so helpful. Well stocked stands and fairly clean, including the bathrooms. I like to browse because there is usually a sale of some product or item that I like, but tonight my exprience was very different than my normal. The cashier Connor was very nice and helpful, the manager Linda was not. She waa rude, not helpful at all. I needed to print some holidays cardstock cards and their printer is broken down. I understand that this things can happen, but she did not offer any solution, never addressed me like I was not even there and treated the cashier like he was stupid even making a comment to him about 'is just doing simple math'

DAN the pharmacist was very unprofessional and rude on the phone and proceed to hang up on my face before hearing me out. Working in the medical field I understand the high volume of customers this time of year But NO REASON to behave and SPEAK to anyone in that tone and voice. I am not child nor stupid and all we were trying to help our patient out to make sure they got what they needed. I believe he had a bad day or something. Just walked out of value drugs on main- one of my items rang up as the wrong price- the cashier (front register with purple/pink hair) said she couldn’t leave the register and asked me to take a pic. I walked back, took the picture, and went back to the register to pay for my item. She ignored me for a few minutes, I opened up my phone with the pic and held it up near the register to remind her of the order we were in the middle of. She continued to ignore me and talk with a colleague. So rude, I walked out.

I've been going to this CVS for years and usually have a decent experience. This time was awful.
The employee (tall, dark skin middle aged man with braids) by the name of either "Shawn" or "Alan" I believe was extremely rude and unpleasant. My came to the counter, said hello and mentioned I wanted to do 2 separate purchases so that I could use my 2 different coupons. He said nothing and just looked at me and looked around. We continued my first purchase and he rang up a bag fee.
I said to him "Is that a bag fee for the almonds?" He just looked at me. I asked him "are you giving me a bag or something" and he said "yeah" I then told him that "I don't need a bag" and he literally does not respect be and just keeps looking at me and around as if I'm not speaking.
As I wait for him to remove the bag fee, he continues the check out and I repeat myself "I don't need a bag sir" and he finally speaks back with some volume and in a nasty tone says "I heard you" and I respond "well youre not saying anything, you're just looking at me" he never takes the fee off and just processed the charge and gave me the 5 cents back. Says nothing.
THEN the second ring up I give my I give my purchase to him and say I'd like to use my 30% coupon. Apparently it expired? Instead of telling me this, after putting in my number, he just turns his screen to me without a word to show me CVS' POS system and how it tracks coupons. I've never seen this screen and it appears to list my coupons. I asked him "what does this mean? I can barely see it" and he barely responds and I check and noticed it expired. Instead of opening his mouth to say he doesn't see anything, he turns his monitor. This employee is disgustingly rude. I think he usually works security, so maybe he has no customer service skills. I spend a lot of money at CVS and that really turned me off.
I hope to get a response.
The employee (tall, dark skin middle aged man with braids) by the name of either "Shawn" or "Alan" I believe was extremely rude and unpleasant. My came to the counter, said hello and mentioned I wanted to do 2 separate purchases so that I could use my 2 different coupons. He said nothing and just looked at me and looked around. We continued my first purchase and he rang up a bag fee.
I said to him "Is that a bag fee for the almonds?" He just looked at me. I asked him "are you giving me a bag or something" and he said "yeah" I then told him that "I don't need a bag" and he literally does not respect be and just keeps looking at me and around as if I'm not speaking.
As I wait for him to remove the bag fee, he continues the check out and I repeat myself "I don't need a bag sir" and he finally speaks back with some volume and in a nasty tone says "I heard you" and I respond "well youre not saying anything, you're just looking at me" he never takes the fee off and just processed the charge and gave me the 5 cents back. Says nothing.
THEN the second ring up I give my I give my purchase to him and say I'd like to use my 30% coupon. Apparently it expired? Instead of telling me this, after putting in my number, he just turns his screen to me without a word to show me CVS' POS system and how it tracks coupons. I've never seen this screen and it appears to list my coupons. I asked him "what does this mean? I can barely see it" and he barely responds and I check and noticed it expired. Instead of opening his mouth to say he doesn't see anything, he turns his monitor. This employee is disgustingly rude. I think he usually works security, so maybe he has no customer service skills. I spend a lot of money at CVS and that really turned me off.
I hope to get a response.

When ordered my son rx I was told that insurance didn't cover it because cost went up lol I have never heard anything like this before! they didn't even have his ins. card on file since we were new patients there. (Pharmacist said he had ran insurance before).complete lie... Sad that they won't go extra mile for spanish/color skin customers. I ended up paying cash.

Very rude pharmacy technicians. I called & made an appointment for 2 vaccinations. One tech told me I could only have one. Another tech said “don’t they know we don’t take walk-ins”. Pharmacist who gave the injections charted both in the same deltoid. This was incorrect as I received one in each arm.

Takes real high class person to talk down to a 93 year old woman and make her feel bad for asking a question about her prescriptions. Especially an easy answerable question.. Used to like going here but the last 2 visits were unpleasant. They don't use their registers they expect us to scan our own items. Which would be ok if I had less than 5 items. But it is not convenient for someone that has a lot of items it takes longer and the prompts are slow. Which makes the checking out process longer and resulting in longer lines the last cashier was very rude and did not want to help when the self check out got stuck and assumed it was my fault. They need to update them and start using the regular registers specially with holiday coming there will be longer lines. They don't even greet you correctly they just yell out hello and it's not genuine very robotic

This store has the worst customer service I have ever been to. If you find 1 person to help you you're lucky and probably waited 20 mins. They seem miserable to be there and it's such an inconvenience. Now that Rite Aide closed I have to go occasionally but honestly started buying everything on Amazon to avoid going to there.

Went to pick up wife’s prescription and they initially wouldn’t accept discount card (used many times)…told me I had to reapply for card. Went home and did that… came back and got in line in drive-thru at 12:30pm with two cars ahead of me.Got to the window at 12:55pm and they pulled the sign “Closed” to take lunch. I sat in the parking lot for a 1/2 hour to finally pick it up. Went inside this time. Stood in line behind 2 people. Got to the head of the line and told pharmacist had to approve card. Told to take a seat and waited another half-hour. Ridiculous!!! Horrible customer service!!!!

Always a long wait, always out of medications, very slow to get prescriptions to customers. Audible complaints about company policies and work conditions. They seem understaffed and poorly trained.

Do not use this pharmacy. Any prescription sent from your doctor will be ignored. Prescription refill requests will be ignored. Prescriptions or refill requests filed through the web site, your insurance company, or the phone will be ignored.
Any and all prescriptions will says "processing" indefinitely. You must go to the store, wait in line for at least 30 minutes (if they aren't busy and no one else is there).
Then you can tell the cashier that you are picking up prescriptions. The cashier will inform you that your prescriptions are not ready for pickup and you must wait in another line to tell the pharmacist to fill your prescription.
Then you will need to wait 30-60 mins for the pharmacist to fill your prescription, followed by another wait in the cashier's line.
I'm ashamed to say I suffered through this for the past 2 years before deciding enough is enough. This review accurately reflects my experience at this store 24 times in 2 years.
Minimum time 1-2 hours no matter how common the RX or how cheap/expensive it is.

If you don't have to go here I recommend you don't. Renewing a prescription here is always a task. I can never get anyone on the phone. One time I was on hold and decided to drive to cvs while still being on hold the entire time, walked into the store, and saw them just completely ignoring my call, the phone just ringing. When I went up to the desk and they asked how they could help me, I told them I was the one calling and she said they weren't picking it up because the phone wasn't working.

My old pharmacy took 9days to deliver a prescription. My first order from Capsule took 6 hours until it was in my hand. Capsule is amazing.

It is not perfect, but I switched to this location from the one in Wethersfield and it is a night and day difference, especially if you have certain medications that need certain authorizations, approvals, etc. I have only used the drive through and the wait is not long, if there is an issue it is promptly taken care of, and pharmacists have gone above and beyond when a couple doctors didn’t understand certain approval processes with insurance companies and Newington helped guide them. They are not perfect, but one of my doctors even said he’s hardly had to call about issues whereas the other location every month there was a problem due to pharmacists incorrectly inputting information, etc. Pharmacists have always been pleasant at the newington location as well. I am glad to have made the switch and wish I had years ago.

Pharmacy is a joke I tried to pick up my prescriptions 1 days after and they said it was not filled and to wait 2 hours came back and they said my insurance doesn't cover it and to pay otc. Called my doctor and insurance and said they didn't even billed me and they were waiting for code from doctor. Seems fishy and think they don't want to hassle the calls and prefer selling medications

No refund after an accusatory exchange stating my returns exceeded my purchases and he would have to look at my entire account. Never heard from him regarding that btw and that was 6 months ago! ummmm yeah whatever dude! Now I see he is a MISERABLE person as are pretty much everyone who works there on some level (don't even get me started on the nasty manager Sammy) or working in this hateful environment takes them there. Management (apart from one manager named Ron who was an absolute sweetheart, hopefully he got the h*ll out of there) trickles down as they say. It's a shame that this is so convenient because I will absolutely NEVER shop there again!

I worked here for 3 and a half days before quitting. Terrible management that doesn’t know how to lead and will just bark orders at you. Garbage pay for the workload they give you dragging you in all different directions. I regret and not leaving earlier and wish I never worked here. I’m Happy I left and no longer wasting my time here for $15 an hour.

Terrible attitude at the register - especially on Christmas Eve! How unfortunate for them. I got yelled at for trying to return masks and told (In the most nasty way) that there is no return policy. I asked where can I find that policy stated, but got dismissed. That policy should be clearly stated somewhere on the receipt or in the store. I’m conscious about supporting small local business, but I wouldn’t be humiliated like this anywhere else - so I will try to avoid coming back.

They delivered medication I urgently needed same day on short notice to my work when I was unable to go by their South Blvd. location to pick it up. They didn't have to go out of their way for me but they did. That right there is truly fantastic service. They are super friendly and super helpful and are just a text message away when you need them. I don't feel like I'm just another customer with them, I feel like I'm family. They are by far and away the best pharmacy I have ever or will ever work with and I will never get my medications filled anywhere else. ❤️

They are truly fantastic. And busy! Having a 1:1 relationship with your pharmacist is essential. They will know your name, know your medication, will help you track down refills, and do what they can every time. They are why I still shop at this Star Market.

Our family has been using Vanco pharmacy for nearly 7 years. The staff is knowledge, kind and helpful. Just today I called to see if my 3 year olds script was ready, and I mentioned he was sick and asleep in the car and they generously offered to bring the medicine out to me, along with the change for my $20 bill. There is nothing like a local mom and pop store--the sense of community and generosity is overwhelming. Thanks so much Vanco!

Had my first delivery from Capsule today. Excellent service, driver arrived a few minutes early and observed all Covid protocols. All prescriptions were transferred seamlessly from my previous pharmacy. No difference in price. Free delivery. No tips accepted. What could be better?? Even got a lovely bag with stickers and information about Capsule. Highly recommended!!!!

The drive through pharmacy at this location is awful. The wait time is crazy long. There was one car ahead of me. When I pulled up there was no contact between the pharmacy and the car for 10 minutes. When the technician finally came to the window I realized he was giving the person a Covid test. At that point I lost patience and went inside. While inside I walked right up, no line at all. I picked up my medication and was finished in less than a minute. In the meantime the same person was still at the drive through window, the technician had not even given the person the test yet, he was still explaining how the test worked. Couldn’t believe the lack of urgency from the drive through technician.

Want to return an item and as usual CVS always has things that I actually don't necessarily need, but because they're on sale I will usually purchase them! They're cosmetic department is always my major downfall I cannot resist visiting it, because there's always something there that is new and exciting! Customer service is always excellent as usual! Although my favorite is Tatiana but she was not there on this day, I believe she works nights and I was there in the afternoon the best ever that CVS has had working for them she is a Total doll and Great Customer Service role model!!🥰👍🏼🌞

Best customer service at the Osco pharmacy. Sossy, Vinh, and Ekta are very friendly and go above and beyond in helping customers. They're super nice.

WOW the definition of service: this was my experience. Just moving back to MT, with out of state insurance /on a Sunday, the pharmacist went out of his way to contact my insurance company. Thank you 🙏

Happy with how it looks after the remodel, also it's nice seeing the same friendly faces who know you on a month to month basis. Because this is the closest Albertson's to the university it can get hectic at times but I never have to wait long for my prescription.

I felt compelled to write a review about the pharmacy at Value Drugs in Huntington after a recent visit. Today I was personally helped by Tom, who worked diligently to help me to significantly lower the cost of my prescription by obtaining a coupon from the manufacturer. I really appreciate his effort and kindness, as my insurance covered nowhere near the cost of the product. I, along with my family members, have frequently had positive experiences with other pharmacists as well. I am very grateful for the genuine interest Tom and others at Value Drugs take in their clients and ensuring they receive the best care.

Vanco Pharmacy is the BEST!
In a sea of chain pharmacies Vanco is a local gem. The pharmacists are incredibly knowledgeable and just plain sweet and nice. Any question you have is answered quickly and with a smile. I feel like the whole staff there is ready and willing to be of assistance to you. It's one of the few pharmacies where you get personalized service and you walk out with a smile. I feel so lucky that we have such a well run business so close to where we live. Not only do they fill prescriptions quickly but they have a great assortment of OTC health and beauty items as well. Thank you to the pharmacists and staff at Vanco for taking good care of your local Dix Hills and beyond customers. We truly appreciate it.

I've been going to Value Drugs for a decade now, and I don't understand the negative reviews here. The staff is not effusive and overly friendly, it is true, but employees here will help if asked. The vitamin lady -- sorry, don't know your name -- is truly a goddess: she lives to help and serve. She makes everyone feel good. Bottle and sell her, please.
The pharmacists are wonderful. The newish pharmacy assistant -- again, I don't know her name -- young, strawberry-blond-ish, thin, friendly, competent -- is a spectacular addition to the store. She is professional, calm, even-tempered: the whole package, and a refreshing change from some young ladies who have been vacantly behind the pharmacy register. Bottle and sell her as well, please.
