Excellent maintenance services! Ishmeal was very helpful, swiftly replacing both my microwave and stove knob. Fast and efficient! I couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome!

I’m leaving a review for Avalon, Adam Ortiz, Sales and Service Supervisor, and the maintenance team who have been absolutely fabulous since the moment we came to see an apartment, which we later ended up renting.
Adam’s very professional and accommodating. He made our move go smoothly, and he’s accommodated us with every request we’ve made in the three weeks we’ve been in our apartment.
For instance, our washer broke down last weekend, and we didn’t know when it was going to be fixed, but he found a way for us to still do laundry in the building.
Having said that, the maintenance team ordered a part for the washer, but they were able to fix it today, Tuesday.
The maintenance team was also able to to respond to our request within an hour when we needed help installing our own shower heads.
We needed a new set of keys. Adam made it happen and very quickly.
He’s helped us with everything we asked of him.
So far, we’ve been very pleased with everything!

We've lived here for little less than a year. Great community with good amenities. The gym is decently equipped, would've loved some barbells and some weight plates though. The lounge is a nice chill place to work.
Adam from management is responsive and pleasant. Maintenance staff are great, Alex Polanco is a rockstar! He's not just dedicated, skillful, and efficient at maintenance, but also one of the kindest persons you'll ever meet.

Great location! Tuns of restaurant options and entertainment in the area and its 3 minutes from the closest metro! My favorite are the monthly resident events. Last but not least Avalon at Gallery Place has an amazing team of dedicated and caring individuals from the front desk & leasing office all the way to maintenance. Im happy to have gotten the chance to be apart of this community.
I usually don't write negative reviews, but I can't emphasize enough how disappointed I am with Avalon at Gallery Place Apartments. The complete lack of competence in maintenance and the abysmal management is exceptionally frustrating.
When I first moved into Avalon at Gallery Place Apartments, I was welcomed by a non-functional AC unit. It turned out that the capacitor was broken, and to make matters worse, I learned that the compressor for my apartment was located in a different unit. This revelation meant that getting the AC fixed promptly was an exercise in futility if you were unlucky enough not to live in the apartment with the compressor. The capacitor was fixed on July 18th, and my electricity bill that month skyrocketed because the AC was constantly drawing power, yet failing to provide any cooling relief. I am posting a picture as proof to this. After the capacitor was replaced, the AC failed to provide enough power to cool the apartment. Only the front of the apartment, i.e., the Kitchen and Bathroom, were colder, but you would literally sweat in the living room and bedroom. It was a nightmare to sleep in the apartment with windows open and two fans blowing at me at all times in July and August. It's a perfect example of the absurdity that one has to endure in this complex, where seemingly simple maintenance issues are turned into protracted nightmares. The A/C still does not work to this day.
To make matters even worse, when I moved in, I was also greeted with leaks under both the kitchen and bathroom sinks. It's astonishing that these basic maintenance issues were not addressed before I moved in. It's indicative of the careless and neglectful attitude that seems to permeate this establishment.
The management here is a joke. I complained to them on multiple occasions, but they have failed to take any action. They are consistently unresponsive, unprofessional, and seem to have no interest in addressing residents' concerns. It's incredibly disheartening.
Furthermore, it's been a never-ending struggle to get any repairs or maintenance done promptly. It seems like they take pride in ignoring maintenance requests until they become critical. They are simply unresponsive on the resident app. My experience has left me feeling undervalued as a tenant.
In conclusion, I moved here because it is quite honestly a great location, but between the terrible maintenance, lackluster management, and the AC and plumbing debacles that left me sweating, frustrated, and with a hefty utility bill, Avalon at Gallery Place Apartments is, without a doubt, the last place you'd want to call home. I am also filing an official complaint with the Office of Tenant Advocate along with this review.

The maintenance staff at the Avalon North Bergen residence is amazing. Alex is the gentleman who is usually assigned to our tickets and is a phenomenal employee. Always helpful, always genuine. He is always looking out for the resident and Will go out of his way to make sure that we and our needs are taken care of. My family and I love it here and it Thanks to Alex and his team

Sad to say luxury living in this place is getting worse every single day . Elevator broken over a week . People are sleeping on common area .Gym has never been cleaned, everywhere is dust, half of the gym equipments are broken . Hall ways are smelling weed and cigarettes. Parking spaces are using as a storage. Only the thing growing every year is a rent, amenities fees. Quality is going down. Hope the management will take actions soon.
Trader Joe's is always a treat to shop. From the wide variety of products even for vegetarians & vegans. People in general are friendly, the staff is ready to be of assistance and you just might walk out with a smile. If your a Negative Nancy, please go to your nearest ShopRite or Piggly Wiggly 😁

I’ve been here for nearly a year and a half. Great bang for the buck. Nice amenities, apartment is beautiful, and great community of you like some peace and quiet. I chose an apartment with the New York view so it did andd to my coat but worth it. Easy access to Manhattan if you take the 154 Bus with a stop just steps away.
Management is responsive with Alex and his team doing a wonderful job keeping the community informed.
Highly recommend considering Avalon North Bergen as your next home.

Slava did the best work for us after we moved in with some maintenance issues in the apartment. He is very helpful and hardworking and made sure we don’t have any issues in the new apartment.

As a former resident I would definitely say that the concierge and staff are fantastic. They were always warm and so nice and always goes above and beyond to offer assistance. They were always helpful and what surprised me was that even after I left the concierge team was very helpful! I accidentally sent a package to my past address and Brandon at front desk helped me locate and hold the package so I could pick it up. Thank you!
The Avalon Community is a wonderful community for people to live at. I’ve witnessed the excellent team and Supervisory support . As a born and raised North Bergen resident , I highly recommend the Avalon Community to everyone.

I love living here and the people have been so kind. I moved in with my two dogs and all of us took some time adjusting to the newness after leaving a home we'd had for a long time. Everyone in the leasing office at Avalon Clinton and those in the front desk staff were helpful, patient, and accomodating while we learned our way around.
Maintenance is prompt and helpful if there are any concerns and members of the front of house staff are always at the ready to be helpful for anything that is needed.
My favorite part though is that everyone is always ready with a smile or up for a laugh. It feels like everyone looks out for each other and takes care to make you feel welcome. I have come to find that the doormen are humans I'd be glad to know even if I didn't see them on the daily. Adrian, especially, looks out for me and always has a kind word or a positive outlook after I come back from a long day at work. Happy to be here and can easily say it quickly felt like home!

Maintenance crew is amazing! They are very responsive and helpful. Slava is so professional and my new tub is super clean and all works perfect! I enjoy living here in Avalon Bellevue for 4 years. Jennifer is super friendly and you can always reach her out. Avalon Bellevue is so quiet and clean! The best place to live on price/ quality ratio in downtown Bellevue.

I had a great experience at Avalon Bellevue apartments as a tenant for three years now. Slava, their maintenance person, was incredibly helpful in swiftly resolving a bathtub repair issue! - ours was worn a bit from wear and tear and he explained all our options and arranged for a fix.
Terrance the lead technician was so great he came to fix a another situation but was so helpful and informative. When asked to help fix some other issues that we have been meaning to schedule a appointment for he handled the situation quickly and professionally. It is so good to encounter somone the projects quality customer service.
My significant other and I toured the community last week and loved it! We have toured a few different properties in the area, and although some of them were a bit more luxurious, none of them had a more welcoming staff than Avalon North Bergen. When we arrived for our tour, Adam made us feel right at home and was able to lay everything out for us. The area also seems very convenient to commute to the city. Definitely made our new apartment decision much harder!
Avalon Bellevue has been very prompt with all the maintenance requests. The staff is very professional and they always go above and beyond to help you.
I’m writing this to specifically mention about Slava from the maintenance staff, he was really helpful with garbage disposal issue today. He also educated us on how to avoid those issue in future.

Leaving this review because of a great experience that I had with Juan, one of the Maintenance Techs here. Juan came to replace a light fixture on my move-in day. On his way out he noticed a few spots of paint that needed touching up, so he got some paint and fixed it up. While painting he noticed a part of my dryer that wasn't functioning properly, so he fixed that too. Excellent service, very happy!
Adrian, Shunta, Tim and the rest of the team at Avalon Clinton are wonderful! They are always helpful and have made my stay so far very pleasant. Management and concierge team aside, I highly recommend this apartment complex too. Great price to value ratio, decent location and well-kept amenities.
Avalon is a great place to live. The digital access system is highly convenient and feels secure, there are numerous services and amenities available, and the staff are fantastic. Special shoutouts to Donisha Brown, who was very helpful in obtaining a lease, and Fahim Farzam, who does excellent maintenance work! And of course the concierge team, who have all been very pleasant.
Beautiful building inside and out. Staff is great at customer service. Please fix this ptac unit outside cover on one of the top floors. Is been like that for more than a year.
Having lived here for 5½ years, and about to renew for another 2, we are so grateful for the quality of the current maintenance staff. Most recently, Fahim has worked tirelessly to get our broken A/C fixed during a heat wave. When an emergency kept him tied up at his other building, Terance stepped up to take on the job of installing a temporary window A/C. Terance kept us updated of his ETA as he dealt with other emergencies in the building. We eventually thought that he had (reasonably) called it a night, but then there was a knock at the door. Over our protests, he was adamant that he would complete the work that he had promised to do. Despite the late hour, he took the time to install the unit properly and professionally. We would have understood him being tired and worn out when he was finished, but with his energy and huge smile at our relief of having the unit installed, you could have sworn it was 10 am on a Monday morning, not 10 pm on a Friday night. The world would be in a much better place if there were more workers with Terance's integrity and professionalism.
I’ve had some really great experiences with the maintenance and concierge team. Everyone is great but most recently Andrew in maintenance swiftly changed my AC unit just in time for the NYC heat wave. So grateful! Also back during Mother’s Day Joe (concierge) gave me a few extra roses to give to the mothers in my life. So sweet. Thanks again guys!
We moved in during the pandemic and have been loving every moment of it. The public area is kept clean and everyone is so helpful and friendly. The concierge staff is very nice and friendly, especially Adrian. He His friendly demeanor, infectious smile, and genuine interest make you feel right at home. The maintenance staff is efficient and things would get fixed in a day or sometimes even less. Overall, Avalon Clinton is a great place to live! Highly recommend.
Avalon Bellevue is very nicely located near to all the important areas in the Downtown area - Bellevue Square, Bellevue library and Downtown park (this is a longish walk but doable) to name a few. It also close to I-405 without feeling noisy due to being a block away from the highway. The best part is its maintenance and staff. I really appreciate their willingness to communicate and keep residents informed about changes in their operations. Jen in particular has been helpful from the very start in our case. Will definitely recommend the property to prospective renters looking for condo-style apartments.
Below is my original 5 star review. I was left with no choice but to change this to a 1 star review due to complications following move-out. Everything I stated in my original review remains true and this review does not reflect on the building staff- this is a reflection of the AvalonBay company. Following move-out, my roommate and I waited over a month to receive what we thought would be our deposit back. Instead we were sent a bill. Not only did Avalon charge our entire security deposit they also stated we owed them money to cover cleaning fees and damages. Of course, we refuted. They took over a month to “investigate” and returned to us letting us know our fine still stands. However, they didn’t even have the decency to let us know by when it needed to be paid, and the customer care line hasn’t taken mine or my roommate’s calls in days. Yet, Avalon is threatening that if we don’t pay soon they will send it to collections. This issue is still in active dispute so hopefully we can pay what we were WRONGFULLY fined and move on without further issue, but I would never recommend renting at an AvalonBay property given this experience.

I feel lucky and blessed to have found this place and to have called it home. Most importantly, I don't think I could possibly ask for a better, kinder, more attentive staff. Ayanna has quickly become one of my favorite people to chat with in the whole world. She was always so kind to me and made Avalon feel like a home. In my first few months, Cheyenne was such a great staff member to talk to too before she moved locations. Tierra is always helpful and kind. I have been so grateful to have all three of them at the building during my time here. Honestly, I simply don't have time to mention every incredible staff member by name from maintenance workers to the leasing staff they have all been so kind and amazing.

The Townhomes on Capitol Hill is the absolute best place to live! There are so many great things I can say about the neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly and look out for each other. The property manager Jason is knowledgeable and proactive. The maintenance supervisor Danny is the BEST! He is very attentive to the needs of the residents. Danny responds quickly to housing/property problems. He comes in with a wealth of knowledge about home improvement and maintenance. Danny has great relationships with people within the community. People like Jason and Danny literally make living here so great!
I lived at Avalon for a year and loved my time here. The doormen are absolutely amazing, as well as the community managers. Whenever we needed something fixed, the team was very responsive and efficient. The only issue is the elevators, they often break and that leads to long wait times with the remaining elevators being very crowded.
The management of this building is horrible. 3 out of 6 elevators have been out of service for weeks and they will do nothing. My hair has started falling out due to some problem with the water and showers. The appliances break and get replaced with even older models that are worse than what you had to begin with. Getting help from the maintenance team is like pulling teeth and you often have to fix things yourself.
There is no response to email or phone inquires for assistance and management refuses to respond to calls for help. They have a phone number listed for emergencies that goes to an automated system that doesn't even allow you to leave a message let alone get fast help.
Do yourself a favor and live elsewhere. It was a mistake moving here.

Great Atmosphere
Beautiful apartments but expense. They keep the grounds clean and it's quiet.
I’ve been to quite a few buildings in the city but I have to say the Avalon Clinton is definitely one of New York City’s hidden gems. The lobby and views are spectacular. You have a clear view of the entire skyline but the best part of the building is the amazing staff. Ozzy and Joe were by far the friendliest front desk staff I’ve ever met. Ozzy was so funny and friendly. He made sure I was able to get to my friends apartment with ease and even gave me some great dinner recommendations. Dinner was great Ozzy, Thanks!
We are very grateful to Fahim for his awesome work. He changed our lock and was very polite and attentive. He did everything very fast and and gave us all information about it which we needed. Thanks for him personally again!
This is a solid building in Midtown Manhattan, great staff, clean amenities, and lovely apartments. On the downside, the various corporate owners decided to defer maintenance on the elevators for too many years and now current residents are paying the price with long waits while repairs are finally being made. Avalon increased my rent 33% at the end of 2022, in line with other corporate landlords in NYC who are price-gouging their tenants. If you choose to move into Avalon, will they increase your rent by 33% too? Although the corporate name is Avalon "communities" the first priority of this corporation is clearly "profit."
A little on the pricey side, but what isn’t these days. Easy parking. Extremely convenient to the freeway, shopping, and restaurants- a lot within walking distance.
Jennifer, the manager, is friendly and helpful.
The maintenance fellas, Ron and Juan, are also super friendly. They have gotten to my few issues very quickly and have repaired them competently.

But This building filled with cockroach and mice .
We let the building management aware of the situation, they kindly sent over a professional (who literally took seconds to leave some gels throughout kitchen and left), but nothing has changed since then. We tend to keep the place extra clean and I’m sure there is something more that could be done.

We let the building management aware of the situation, they kindly sent over a professional (who literally took seconds to leave some gels throughout kitchen and left), but nothing has changed since then. We tend to keep the place extra clean and I’m sure there is something more that could be done.
Trader Joe's so easy to access here as well as many other favorite places to shop. Cherry Hill finally had a downtown!

Only 3 out of 5 elevators work over the past two years and there is no improvement in sight. Sometimes you wait 10-15 minutes to get an elevator because they get so crowded that long lines form in the lobby.
The laundry room is disgusting. Machines are often out of service, damaging clothes, are very dirty, full of pet hair and spilled laundry detergents cover the floors.

Living here has been an absolute gift. This place is an actual community in Capitol Hill. Louise, Danny, and Anthony are the most helpful human beings I have ever met. Whenever there’s any sort of issue from payment processing to installing shelves that I bought, they have always lent a hand. There is no other place like this in all of DC!
All of the townhomes have been or are in the process of being remodeled. New cabinets, new appliances, new flooring, new countertops, new windows, etc! Do yourself a favor and get on the waitlist and move in when one opens up!

I sincerely like to voice my appreciation of the security staff for the Avalon Bay Midtown Residents. They are always courteous respectful and looking out for our safety. I appreciate them looking for the safety and comfort of my wife. They should be commended. They are also a big reason why my wife resigned the lease. Faculties are very nice and apartment is very nice too. No major problems to date.
Plenty of options for many of your shopping and dining needs. Shake Shack, Trader Joe’s, TJ Maxx, and more. Adjacent to two other shopping centers with Athleta, Gap, Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom Rack, Wegmans, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Home Depot. Parking can be a bit tricky on high traffic days but overall it’s easy to navigate. Much easier to deal with than Center City, Philadelphia so many city dwellers skip the hassle and drive the 6-8 miles to shop in peace.
Love living at Avalon Clinton! This is the second place I’ve lived in NYC and I couldn’t be happier. The apartments are solid construction, so extremely quiet and I never hear my neighbors. Anytime I’ve needed a maintenance issue taken care of, it’s done in less than 24 hours. (In most cases, almost immediately.) The concierge guys, however, are what make it. Shout out to Adrian who takes care of everything, even when I’m not expecting it! Rodney and Miguel on the weekends are also a joy. Avalon makes it easy and comfortable to live in NYC. Highly recommend. I’m also a meteorologist so the breathtaking sky views are a huge bonus!
I have the nicest apartment in Manhattan. I have to pinch myself every day to ask, “Do I really live here?” Family, friends and co-workers visit in person or on Skype and they ask me how I landed this treasure. I love it here. I moved to NYC during the pandemic, so making friends has been tough, but Adrian has been my go-to guy. I definitely feel taken care of knowing that Adrian is the concierge running things. He is a super nice guy who is always willing to go the extra mile. He always says, “don’t worry, I’ll take care of that.” So, I have the best apartment in Manhattan and apparently the best concierge too. I am a lucky guy during a tough time for all of us and I appreciate what I have.
I cannot speak more highly about my experience with the Townhomes on Capitol Hill both in how management cares for the property and the respect and warmth in which they approach the members.
I lived at THCH for almost seven years and I loved every minute of it. The location is simply the best in DC, the community is welcoming, and the staff are responsive. It's so easy to make your place feel like home - you're allowed to paint, bolt shelving into the walls, plant your own garden, even build a deck if there's space! Special shout-outs to Danny and Anthony, the amazing maintenance staff, who were able to fix anything from sad grout to a full-on A/C replacement in the middle of summer! If my husband and I hadn't been able to buy our own place, we'd still be happily living there.
Absolutely phenomenal place to live. Perfectly situated near Eastern Market, Barracks Row and Navy Yard, THCH is a charming community with excellent amenities. Danny and Anthony are the best maintenance team you could ask for and do an incredible job keeping the whole operation running smoothly. If you’re looking for the best city-living has to offer, look no further!

This building and its staff is my favorite building in Manhattan. I lived here for a very long time (back when it changed from “The Gershwin” to “Archstone” and then to “The Avalon”). I moved out when my mom passed away as life threw some difficult changes my way. The building has always been like family to me, especially Rudy the legendary doorman/concierge, Michael the concierge, Andrew, and Billy at the front desk. I lived through several different building managers and absolutely loved working with Ayanna, who was always so kind and understanding—as was the entire staff. I moved away for a few years and then missed it so badly, I moved back! I was so happy to see that Rudy, Mike, Andrew, Billy, Ayanna (manager), Danielle (leasing), Elizabeth (management office) were still there. Chrishaun is a new leasing agent who I absolutely adore! Wonderfully kind and helpful! The pictures attached are of the views from my living room. It’s a stunning building with very high-end renovations in some apartments. The “classic” apartments have new floors but the original Resnick & Sons Gershwin/Archstone appliances (white appliances and countertops). Renovation package #2 has new bathrooms, new floors, new appliances and LED lighting. The bedrooms have new blackout blinds (huge improvement from old blinds as you get a TON of light on high floors). The Premiere renovation package is gorgeous. The only singular negative issue that I saw before my last move out and during my new time here is the occasional inconsistency of the 5 high-speed elevators. I hope that AvalonBay will take seriously the real concerns that residents continue to have. When all 5 are working, it’s laser fast to get from a 40th floor apartment to the lobby. When things go bad with the elevators, there are lines to the front door and general misery. This isn’t an Avalon-only problem. Lots of big buildings in NYC have elevator issues. I would suggest that management have a proactive email system to alert all residents of elevator issues so that they can plan accordingly. Other than that, I would give the complex 100 stars. In these odd times of Covid-19, it’s nice to feel like one is around “family,” even as we keep our distance. I love that the building is 100% non smoking. I love that the floors are extra strong modern reinforced concrete (no hearing stomping neighbors for me in any of the apartments I lived), and for the vast majority of the many years I’ve been there, the residents seem friendly and kind. The price differential for a high floor larger apartment, IMO, is very worth it. I was on a very high floor corner apartment for many years. Pin drop quiet. Then I was on the other end of the same floor in a corner apartment. Same level of quiet. Finally, a shoutout to the new maintenance staff. Jason (great name!) the maintenance manager is so fast, he responded within 30 minutes to some minor issues I had on move-in. Super friendly and very effective. Overall, I love the building and staff so much, I’d work for them if I wasn’t already working crazy hours!
Wonderful community with top notch management, staffers and community members. All of the employees are professional, highly skilled, kind and customer oriented. This place rocks and it's no surprise that there's a waiting list here.

Lots of stores and restaurants. Lots of parking.easily seen from major highways and roads. Visit during the week to avoid large crowds. One can find groceries, electronic stores, and clothing and even books here. And this location has a lot of other stores across the street that one may find interesting. Visit once and check it out, and come back again to explore all the stores there and nearby. Happy shopping.
Do not fall for this trap , it’s full of mice and the staff is uneducated and psychotic. I ended up paying around $5000 on top of my monthly $1200.for.a.dump.

My mom used to live here and she had a great experience. It was so nice having so much space for the kids to run around and play and ride their bikes, fly kites, etc. Such a convenient location near all the shopping and Wegmans.
