The Gantry Restaurant

The entree snacks were so good. Prob better than the actual mains itself lol. Wagyu was a bit fatty but still good. Duck main wasn't great as it hand lentils inside the duck meat which was a bit weird. Overall still good experience, nice view over the water

The gantry is the best restaurant I’ve experienced in a long time. The service to start with was impeccable from arrival to table service, and with each meal the waiter explained what was in it throughly. The service is just outstanding here would even come here just for the service. However food was just incredibly beautiful, flavours were exquisite and they all come out in such a beautiful presentation as well and taste is off the scale. It’s definitely a five star experience.
I would highly recommend the wagu beef I think it was the best steak I’ve ever eaten !!
Can’t recommend this place enough plus the location is gorgeous!

Let me start this review off by say that being a Restaurant Manager in the hotel industry myself I can be very critical of restaurants. The Gantry however, surpassed all expectations and has absolutely blown me away.

We were there to celebrate our 1000 day anniversary (cheesy I know) and straight from the get go did we feel we made rhe right choice in venue to share such a special occasion.

Beginning with the service received straight away from being greeted at the door with a genuine smile. We were welcomed at the table with a beautiful glass of champagne from the Restaurant Manager for our celebration. Once we sat down at out table our section waiter Liam greeted us and introduced himself to be serving us for the night. He was very helpful in recommendations and when he was unsure of something he apologised and sought the proper information from the appropriate team member, be it a wine recommendation or information about the food. I cannot stress how relaxed and comfortable it felt to have such a professional assist us for the evening.

We were interested in the set menu options however my partner has a seafood allergy and while they are able to substitute for non-seafood options we found it better to order off the A La Carte Menu instead.
I ordered the Kingfish and Scallop and my partner ordered the Chicken Wing and Cold Cut as a starter.
The chef, Dimitri, preceded to bring out extra options with wonderful selection of small dishes to start the evening off. It was a welcoming change to see Chefs so active in the guest experience FOH.
I myself proceeded to go for a Sake to pair with the starters to which an excellent selection was made by the Restaurant Manager.

As an Entree we shared the Lions Mane Mushroom Rice with some Sourdough and butter (to which my partner absolutely loved. Some of the best butter we have had) along with a beautifully Paired Chardonnay.

For the main we shared the David Blackmore Wagyu Karubi Plate with a Paired Shiraz from the menu. Originally I was going to choose the Cab Sauv but upon asking some questions to the waiter (sorry I didn't get your name) he allowed me to try the Shiraz aswell as was his suggestion and a good choice it was. Without understating the steak was cooked to perfection and one of the best I have tasted out of sydney. (Rockpool and Firedoor who???) The accompanying salad paired very well with the flavours of the Blackmore.

Dessert was a beautiful Ginger and Fingerlime Sunday aswell as a special surprise brought out from the Chef.

I could not find a single fault in the entire experience for us tonight and I wish to extend my gratitude to each and everyone team member. The Gantry will forever be on my recommendation list for anybody who asks.

Excellent food quality and taste with creative concepts through all of the courses. The staff is so friendly with professional explanations of all the courses. The atmosphere is elegant and peaceful. It was definitely one of the top 3 fancy restaurants I’ve ever been to in Sydney. Highly recommended to go there with you partner or your family to enjoy this fancy experience!

The service and the food here is exceptional! Special thanks to the chef and sous chefs for the delicious food and presentation. I would also like to thank Pranav for the excellent service and great food recommendations he provided.

Seriously incredible fine dining experience. The Gantry has welcomed a new head chef which has completely changed my opinion on the restaurant. I have been several years back and today's experience and food is now miles ahead of what it used to be. Every item on their winter menu was phenomenal- there were some very delicious and interesting new flavour combinations I've never experienced before. My personal favourites were the basil bluefin Tuna, blacklip abalone and the seafood starter snacks. The sourdough unfaultable as well. Their black Cabbage almodt had a meaty gelatinous texture to it- I loved it.Dessert was great and I loved their inclusion of purple yam as a featured ingredient. Service was personable and attentive. We spoke to Rhys briefly and he was great. I suspect the gantry will soon be recognised as a forefront for fine dining in Sydney. I'll will gladly return for their new seasonal menus

We had a happy dinner with Chef Nara's recommendation.
The food was delicious and the service perfect.
Eating here is not just about eating, it's about experiencing.
